I'm gonna be honest, I had their matcha from their OG store in Westwood when they were called Sip! I always thought their matcha was good, but I only got to enjoy it when I was going to school around there which was brief! Aside from now aging myself, I got the Guava Matcha from them and the employee recommended getting less sweet if I don't like overly sweet drinks. I have to say, it was perfect sweetness for me! The balance of matcha flavor and guava was 5/5. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm shopping in the area. It was satisfying and makes me crave their matcha! read more

Came on a Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't too busy. It was cute and decorated inside with a chic modern vibe. Employees were helpful in providing recommendations. The menu is extensive. I was hanging out with my good friend and we wanted something to drink after our lunch date at Malatown. Upon scouring reviews, Junbi came recommended! I was immediately drawn to the guava matcha, as that is definitely a flavor that I've never had before, and I was very intrigued. It turned out to be the perfect refreshing choice on a warm March afternoon. The staff were friendly, and you can either order on the kiosks or with a staff member. We chose to order via the kiosks. Our drinks were made in what seemed like seconds. However, they were still extremely good quality and the guava puree was delicious. The matcha was excellent, and very smooth. Delicious matcha! Went in on a late Saturday afternoon and there were a decent amount of people there. It was relatively easy to find parking in their parking lot. There are 2 self-serve kiosks on the side and also a person that will happily take your order. We got a strawberry matcha and a chrysanthemum tea. The total came out to be $14.25 which I think is on the more expensive side. We got everything regular iced and regular sugar and no toppings. Strawberry Matcha (8/10): I can taste the earthiness of the matcha and the strawberry puree(?) adds a nice tartness when it's all combined. I've been wanting to try this location ever since I knew of its existence. Came here last night for a post dinner drink, a little before closing. We were immediately greeted and drink orders taken. My go-to is always hojicha latte these days with oat milk. You can adjust your ice and sweetness and was informed that hojicha doesn't have any sweetness. Just did 50% and it was nice and not overly sweet. Tea was bold. Fam ordered the guava matcha and loved it. Just to their liking. No wonder this is a fav of ours whenever we travel. Somehow a few other groups followed us in before they closed soon after. A few minutes before closing we didn't feel rushed to leave but the staff were appreciative of us stopping by. What I Ordered Guava Matcha Latte Strawberry Refresher The Experience As a semi-matcha snob, I thought the guava matcha latte was just okay for a quick fix. You could taste the matcha, but it leaned too milky for me, which is very typical of boba shop drinks that come in those big cups. On the flip side, I really enjoyed the strawberry refresher. If you've ever had the strawberry jasmine tea at Boba Guys, this tastes super similar (and that one's my fave at Boba Guys), so I was happy about that. I've been obsessed with Junbi ever since I tried it in Waikiki and I'm so happy they've been expanding to the Bay Area recently! My husband and I have been to this location several times since they opened, including on their grand opening day. They can get a little busy but the lines move quickly and drinks come out super fast! The owner is usually there as well and she is an absolute sweetheart! My all-time favorite drink here is the matcha cold brew with guava. Highly recommend that one if you're a first timer! They also have fun seasonal specials each season. In the spring, they had a Miffy collab and sakura flavored drinks. Currently, they have a peach series for summer. On my most recent visit, I got the golden peach green tea and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! The fresh peaches they use in the peach puree really gave the drink an extra refreshing oomph. There are two ordering kiosks inside and you can also order online now. They recently started offering onigiris and I'm super excited for them to get their soft serve machine up and running (hopefully soon??!) Heard of Juni but did not have a chance to come in. The Matcha and Hojicha Smoothie were both good. Parking was easy, right outaide the store. This location was whether the old Gong Cha, right opposite the outlets, used to be. Inside the Denny's and Kirkland mall. Will come again to try more Matcha items. They also sold Match Powder on Tin Bag, ranging from $30-$80. Friendly staff too, my guess is he must be the owner, he takes to us for a little bit very few friendly. I tried the guave matcha latte and the mango matcha latte while stopping by in the area and was a bit disappointed by the mango matcha latte. Both drinks had oat milk which enhanced the matcha taste but the mango component of the drink didn't really blend well with the matcha. I think this was partly because the mango was quite hard and crunchy, instead of a syrup so it felt like I was drinking a matcha latte with mango chunks. I liked the guava matcha a bit more as the guava enhanced the fruitiness of the drink. I will say though that Junbi's matcha has more of a grassy note and I tend to prefer nuttier matcha. The staff were really nice on answering questions when we came in the store so I would be interested on coming back to try the other drinks! read more

Enjoyed my visit! The store isn't very big but liked the ambience: a sunshine yellow with cute decorations highlighting their current spring Miffy collaboration! There is a good amount of seating with both options to order in person or at the kiosk machine. Store staff was polite and helpful answering questions. I ordered a hot Hojicha latte with oat milk. I liked my drink- a good balance of milk and tea ratio. Might have been the milk I chose that the drink was not very creamy though. It seemed more of a Hojicha tea powder vs straight brewed tea. There were a lot of Matcha variation drinks and even cute Miffy Sakura lychee seasonal drinks too! Sadly a lot of Miffy merchandise was already gone. Store rep says the Miffy promotion will end soon, and then Peach will be the new summer flavor in July. Then they hope to do another collaboration in the fall. I absolutely love this Junbi location. They are the first one to open in the Bay Area so it holds a special place in my heart. The staff here are always very friendly and the manager Denise is reason why this store has such good vibes. Much respect to her for the hard work and knowledge of Junbi as a whole.
