The last time I visited was around when they first opened. I came back today and love that their current menu has kid-friendly options with no caffeine. The yuzu dragon fruit matcha cold brew was refreshing. Noted that they don't use stamp cards and they don't carry the spam rice balls at this location. Service was quick and friendly. Looking forward to coming back.
The junbi shop is so cute! When you walk in, the atmosphere is really inviting with the bright yellow colors. I'm gonna be honest, I had their matcha from their OG store in Westwood when they were called Sip! I always thought their matcha was good, but I only got to enjoy it when I was going to school around there which was brief! Aside from now aging myself, I got the Guava Matcha from them and the employee recommended getting less sweet if I don't like overly sweet drinks. I have to say, it was perfect sweetness for me! The balance of matcha flavor and guava was 5/5. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm shopping in the area. It was satisfying and makes me crave their matcha!
Came on a Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't too busy. It was cute and decorated inside with a chic modern vibe. Employees were helpful in providing recommendations. The menu is extensive. I tried the salted caramel banana matcha latte with coconut milk. It was good! The banana wasn't too sweet and the matcha wasn't too overpowering. It was a good balance. I also had the salmon rice ball, which was fresh but ok. It tasted more like tuna. I'd come back to try other flavors.
2nd time in while visiting the outlet. I had the passion fruit refresher this time around and lacking flavor for me. Matcha on the other hand was ok.
I was hanging out with my good friend and we wanted something to drink after our lunch date at Malatown. Upon scouring reviews, Junbi came recommended! I was immediately drawn to the guava matcha, as that is definitely a flavor that I've never had before, and I was very intrigued. It turned out to be the perfect refreshing choice on a warm March afternoon. The staff were friendly, and you can either order on the kiosks or with a staff member. We chose to order via the kiosks. Our drinks were made in what seemed like seconds. However, they were still extremely good quality and the guava puree was delicious. The matcha was excellent, and very smooth. I asked for light ice and they delivered. I did not get a chance to try my friend's drink but she said it was her new favorite tea shop, and that she would be back. I will also be back for sure, since I'm in the area relatively often. Junbi has a ton of unique drinks even for those who aren't matcha lovers, so you are bound to find a drink for your palate.
Matcha store across the SF premium outlets by the Tesla chargers. Chain restaurant but the matcha didn't hit at this location. Currently with BT21 collab. Ordered via kiosk. Some seatings inside. They have a restroom. I got the BT21 galaxy matcha with black sesame and ube. Strong ube and black sesame flavor. Not much matcha flavor with those combinations. On the sweeter side from the ube. The sea salt caramel banana match was much more balanced and was tasty. Has a nice banana and Carmel flavor.
This is a cool spot to try a match and they have multiple options for add-ons and inclusions. The staff was extremely friendly and patient and I really enjoyed the guava matcha half sweetens with light ice and oat milk! They have a rewards program but it is email based so you will need to enter it in the system once you complete your purchase. I also grabbed a strawberry matcha with inclusion and add-ons and it too was a refreshing treat to bring to a friend!
Happy one year anniversary, Junbi! We stopped in on their one year anniversary to enjoy the banana sea salt series, and the usual favorite - strawberry matcha latte. And, I can never leave without the delicious salmon rice balls whenever that yummy food is available. Prior to that, I've been loving the BT21 drinks. As always, service was fast and super friendly.
Delicious matcha! Went in on a late Saturday afternoon and there were a decent amount of people there. It was relatively easy to find parking in their parking lot. There are 2 self-serve kiosks on the side and also a person that will happily take your order. We got a strawberry matcha and a chrysanthemum tea. The total came out to be $14.25 which I think is on the more expensive side. We got everything regular iced and regular sugar and no toppings. Strawberry Matcha (8/10): I can taste the earthiness of the matcha and the strawberry puree(?) adds a nice tartness when it's all combined. I think this was a nice balance and it wasn't too sweet which I personally enjoy. Chrysanthemum Tea (8/10): This was really enjoyable. You can taste the actual tea and it wasn't doused in sugar.
Stopped at this strip mall to charge our EV and we're very happy to find Junbi Matcha & Tea. We got their black tea with oat milk and their yuzu green tea. They customize the drinks to your sugar and ice preference. However, they did recommend a little ice in my drink which I generally don't prefer. All in all, a solid stop to get your tea fix!
Last minute Christmas shopping means a matcha or boba stop for me hehe. We were headed to the Livermore outlets and saw there was a junbi across the street so we decided to check it out. It's super cute inside, we were greeted right away by the friendly staff, and there was no wait. I was really excited to try the matcha latte with oatmilk but i was pretty disappointed. You could barely taste the matcha. It tasted like a slightly sweet oatmilk with a hint of matcha. I've heard good things about their matcha so I may come back again to give it another shot! Maybe it was just an off day! I did get the little matcha tin to bring home to make my own, and that was really good. Didn't taste too grassy or bitter-- it was pretty smooth.
Tried Junbi for the first time and thought it was decent. I do appreciate them doing a double shot of matcha with their guava matcha latte, which helped the matcha flavor come out a bit more. If you like sweet, fruit-forward matcha mixes, this is a good spot. I probably would only come here if I had a dessert craving.

Just did 50% and it was nice and not overly sweet. Tea was bold. Fam ordered the guava matcha and loved it. Just to their liking. No wonder this is a fav of ours whenever we travel. Somehow a few other groups followed us in before they closed soon after. A few minutes before closing we didn't feel rushed to leave but the staff were appreciative of us stopping by. Will need to go back soon and try their BT21 drinks. They have merch too! Couldn't decide what I wanted so will think about it before my return

This is the only Junbi location I've visited twice for their limited-edition BT21 and Snoopy merchandise. I just like how easy the parking is compared to other locations in the Bay Area. The staff was welcoming every time I opened the door. They were kind enough to tell me which seasonal drinks I could adjust to oat milk, and the rest you can adjust the sweetness and add toppings for an extra charge. I tried their Snoopy Chocolate Hazelnut Matcha Latte with oat milk, less sweetness, and less ice. There was a strong Nutella flavor with good consistency, but the matcha wasn't strong enough for me when I didn't mix it. I even got myself a Snoopy matcha plush keychain as my birthday gift for $18, which is pricey but durable enough to hang on your bag. It's a pretty small shop, yet it's covered in cute and colorful decor. Plus, the tables are clean since most customers usually wait for their drinks and leave rather than sit down. read more

Went Junbi only because of Snoopy. Ordered Chocolate Hazelnut Matcha Latte. It was ok. Even though it's normal sweetness, I feel it's not sweet enough. If you get the same drink, Please remember to stir well before drink. Otherwise, chocolate hazelnut syrup is a bit strong. BTW, I order it because i saw this drink is Snoopy design. But when i get through drink, they still give Charlie Brown. Maybe they gave out of random. read more
We tried the yuzu dragonfruit slush, yuzu dragonfruit jasmine tea, strawberry blended, matcha blended and the hojicha latte. dragonfruit slush and hojicha latte - 10/10, the slush was very refreshing and a good dragonfruit taste; while the hojicha latte was strong and had a good roasted tea flavor. strawberry blended, matcha blended, and yuzu dragonfruit jasmine tea - 6/10, strawberry blended was just average; matcha blended tasted more like vanilla and lacked the matcha taste; yuzu dragonfruit jasmine tea was very watered down (the taste of it wasn't too bad though). The inside was very cute and had a very clean look. They had two kiosk on the side if you want to order on your own or you can order with someone helping you. We ordered thru kiosk, so not too much interaction with staff. Drinks did come out fast though! Overall, decent place for drinks. read more

I got the guava matcha latte, and I really enjoyed it! The workers here are very friendly. There is parking in a plaza, and it's directly across the street from the outlets. Their seasonal drink options sound good as well. I would come back again! read more

I have been coming here quite often since they've opened. They have many drinks to choose from and it's not just matcha drinks. But because of this place, I have become a matcha lover! There are many drinks here that I like, but one of my favorites is the Dirty Taro Vanilla Matcha Latte and I add their house-made almond jelly! Their house-made almond jelly is SOOO yummy! I LOVE it! It's worth the extra cost for an add-on! I try to add the almond jelly to almost every single drink I order. A few months ago they had their seasonal lychee drinks which I loved! Now, their seasonal fruit is peach! I tried the Golden Peach Matcha Blended drink, the Golden Peach Coffee Latte, and the Golden Peach Matcha Latte with Vanilla Cold Foam. All three were good! I love how they use real fruit for their purées! It makes such a difference tasting real fruit in my drinks. read more
Atmosphere Junbi is a nice chain matcha/tea shop, and the Livermore location is pretty spacious inside with a few tables to sit and chill. They also sell their own matcha powders if you're into making drinks at home, which is a cool touch. What I Ordered Guava Matcha Latte Strawberry Refresher The Experience As a semi-matcha snob, I thought the guava matcha latte was just okay for a quick fix. You could taste the matcha, but it leaned too milky for me, which is very typical of boba shop drinks that come in those big cups. On the flip side, I really enjoyed the strawberry refresher. If you've ever had the strawberry jasmine tea at Boba Guys, this tastes super similar (and that one's my fave at Boba Guys), so I was happy about that. Final Thoughts Overall, I'd give Junbi a 3.5 since they are known for their matchas, but I'm rounding up to a 4 just for the strawberry refresher. read more
Really enjoy this spot as its quality for the drinks are top tier. By far one of the best matcha boba spots I've tried. The inside interior is also very cute and picturesque for those who like to capture their drinks with a nice background. The guy who took our order was very patient and accommodating. The drinks came out fast and was just the right amount of sweetness. I hope they open more Junbi's out in the bay area! It deserves all the hype it gets! They also have a different menu for seasonal drinks that change every 3-4 months which allows those who are interested in trying new drinks from their original menu! read more
I tried their Guava Matcha Latte, a sweetened iced green tea, and salmon rice ball. Everything was good but they were overpriced for sure. There are other matcha/milk tea spots that are just as tasty for with decent prices. Would I come back? Eh, only if it were the only option. read more
As someone who used to say "matcha tastes like grass" this place was sooo good. I ordered the taro vanilla matcha latte and matcha cold brew. Regular sweetness, the perfect amount! I ordered on their kiosk. They have like 3 tables inside so limited seating and the place itself is small, not much space to wait around. Drink came out in 10 mins though. I'm a big matcha lover, so when I heard that Junbi was coming to a location that was close-ish to me, I knew I had to try it. I got their blueberry matcha cold brew and it was soooo good. Got it without any dairy, and it honestly didn't need it at all. Decent matcha quality and flavor, and you could really taste the blueberry in the drink. Loved it! My husband got their latte since he's more of a coffee drinker. I didn't get to try it, but he said it was decent and did the trick as a pick-me-up. Love the overall decor the store. The employees were super nice and patient with us while we were making our selections. They answered all of our questions, which was so kind of them lol. They also have two kiosks in the store, so if you'd like to minimize your human interaction, you could order on those. Really, really love this matcha cafe. Will have to make it a must stop location whenever I'm at the outlets across the street! read more
We stopped by this cafe and had such a great experience. The shop itself has a clean, bright, and welcoming vibe and perfect for grabbing a drink and hanging out for a bit. I ordered the Blueberry Matcha Cold Brew and it was so refreshing. The matcha tasted smooth, earthy, and balanced. It's not too bitter and not overly sweet. You can really tell they use quality matcha powder because the flavor shines through and it has that beautiful, vibrant green color. The staff was friendly and patient while I looked at the menu. My drink came out quickly and the presentation was on point. Overall, I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a matcha spot. read more
As a fan of anything matcha, I had to try this place. Came by in the afternoon at 3:45 and I was assisted right away. The inside was very clean and cute. They have a kiosk so you can self order or you can order with an employee. For those who prefer non dairy options, they offer oat milk or soy milk for an additional cost. Items ordered: Hojicha soy milk unsweetened- this had good flavor but I prefer matcha Taro vanilla matcha latte- I forgot to order this with soy, but this was good and had a perfect balance of flavor and sweetness. Matcha latte- Since this was regular milk, I did not drink it. Flavor was just okay. read more
I've been obsessed with Junbi ever since I tried it in Waikiki and I'm so happy they've been expanding to the Bay Area recently! My husband and I have been to this location several times since they opened, including on their grand opening day. They can get a little busy but the lines move quickly and drinks come out super fast! The owner is usually there as well and she is an absolute sweetheart! My all-time favorite drink here is the matcha cold brew with guava. Highly recommend that one if you're a first timer! They also have fun seasonal specials each season. In the spring, they had a Miffy collab and sakura flavored drinks. Currently, they have a peach series for summer. On my most recent visit, I got the golden peach green tea and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! The fresh peaches they use in the peach puree really gave the drink an extra refreshing oomph. There are two ordering kiosks inside and you can also order online now. They recently started offering onigiris and I'm super excited for them to get their soft serve machine up and running (hopefully soon??!) There are a few small tables inside but not a lot of space to hang out. Lots of parking out front. read more

Heard of Juni but did not have a chance to come in. The Matcha and Hojicha Smoothie were both good. Parking was easy, right outaide the store. This location was whether the old Gong Cha, right opposite the outlets, used to be. Inside the Denny's and Kirkland mall. Will come again to try more Matcha items. They also sold Match Powder on Tin Bag, ranging from $30-$80. Friendly staff too, my guess is he must be the owner, he takes to us for a little bit very few friendly. Highly recommend if you are craving matcha drinks. read more
Was in the area and was so excited to try Junbi. So glad they opened some Bay Area locations. I got 3 drinks to try and shared with my husband, but it was really hard to narrow down to just 3 drinks. Luckily came during the miffy collab and got the lychee Sakura matcha, strawberry chrysanthemum and hojicha latte. All were good and not too sweet. We also purchased a pack of blueberry matcha powder to try. Service was good and parking was easy. Looking forward to coming again! read more

Enjoyed my visit! The store isn't very big but liked the ambience: a sunshine yellow with cute decorations highlighting their current spring Miffy collaboration! There is a good amount of seating with both options to order in person or at the kiosk machine. Store staff was polite and helpful answering questions. I ordered a hot Hojicha latte with oat milk. I liked my drink- a good balance of milk and tea ratio. Might have been the milk I chose that the drink was not very creamy though. It seemed more of a Hojicha tea powder vs straight brewed tea. There were a lot of Matcha variation drinks and even cute Miffy Sakura lychee seasonal drinks too! Sadly a lot of Miffy merchandise was already gone. Store rep says the Miffy promotion will end soon, and then Peach will be the new summer flavor in July. Then they hope to do another collaboration in the fall. Will look forward to visiting again and trying more drinks, maybe matcha and peach next time :) read more
I've been to Junbi in Rowland Heights a few years ago but didn't buy anything because I wasn't a big matcha fan! I saw that Junbi opened up in Livermore so I decided to go since I like matcha now! It was a bit of a drive since I live in San Jose but worth it! It's located in the plaza across from the San Francisco Premium Outlets. There was no wait on a Monday afternoon! The interior was cute, they also have limited tables/seating. My cousin and I got the strawberry matcha latte with oat milk and sea salt caramel banana matcha latte with oat milk. Both were very light, refreshing, and yummy! I believe we got both at half sweet and it was still yummy. They used real fruits for both strawberry and banana matcha latte. I've stopped by about 3x now. The last time I came by they gave us an insulated bag for our to go drinks :) read more

So this last week we've tried Matcha from almost every place. one that is famous for their Matcha in Japantown and Stonestown in San Francisco. One that swore by the spring special Matcha in Walnut Creek and I have to tell you that nothing compares Junbi get yours w oat milk guava lychee and of course boba! We also have other drinks we got this time but this one is the best IMO. read more

Junbi, a matcha made in heaven! Drinks infused with imported matcha will have you coming back for more and with its close proximity to the outlets, you have no reason not to come for a thirst quencher in between shopping. Aside from tea, you can get caffeinated with their espresso spiked drinks as well as juices and milks for those looking for non-caffeinated options. Their drinks are delicious and very photo-worthy, so much so I've made a little rhyme to elevate your experience: Snap before you shake Make no haste Shake before you drink Before you get a taste On this visit, we got to meet the owner, Denise, who mentioned about their opening in January and steady flow of customers from the nearby mall. They gave great recommendations for drinks and introduced us to their rice rolls. Naturally, we ordered a variety to get a good taste. Topical refresher - Guava mango coconut milk combination is quite a refresher! Guava matcha cold brew - tasty with a nice blend of island and traditional tea flavor. Dirty hojicha latte - rich and strong tea flavor and called "dirty" due to its addition of an espresso shot. The milk added to its creamy texture and rounded out the flavor. Great for the caffeinated bunch! Boba - satisfying chewy texture and flavor! They cost extra but if you're looking for a little bounce in your drink, totally worth it! Rice balls - we got the mentaiko (spicy fish roe) and snow crab variations. Both were delicious and made to order. They are a bit small but filling with a side of a drink. Overall, Junbi is a go to if you're within the vicinity of the outlets as you won't get anything better nearby. The mall nearby has many other Asian establishments for desserts and snacks, but if you're craving matcha, Junbi is unmatched with the richness, boldness, and authenticity of flavor. It might even be worth a drive if the traditional Japanese matcha isn't accessible in your area! read more
As someone who grew up in SoCal with Junbi, it reminded me of home coming here. I believe this places originally mainly focused on matcha, but began to specialize in other drinks throughout the year. Sakura Lychee Matcha Latte (5/5): This drink was a seasonal drink and it was amazing. The lychee blended well with the matcha. I thought the sakura added a hint of floral that was mesmerizing. I hope this becomes a permanent menu drink. Will definitely be back! read more

I got the Sea Salt Caramel Banana Matcha Latte--normal ice, less sweet. Going with less sweet was definitely the right call. It was still a bit sweet, but I could really taste both the banana and matcha, which is a combo I've been seeing everywhere on Instagram. The staff was friendly and helpful when I had questions about their popular drinks. You can order at one of the two kiosks or go straight to the counter. There are a couple of small tables outside, which is a nice touch if you want to sit and sip. Inside there were a few tables as well and a restroom, which I used. I'd love to come back and try one of their other drinks! read more
I love this little matcha / boba shop. It's adorable and so cute. The owners are super friendly and the staff is also very sweet. I was here a couple months ago for a Yelp elite event. I was impressed with their flavors and service so I came back. I loved their seasonal BANANA flavor! It's house-made and so delicious. I knew walking in that it's probably gone because they were advertising lychee. Luckily when I ordered, the person at the counter said they still had banana - the last of it!!! Bring it!!!! I ordered the Salted Caramel Banana Matcha Latte with Almond Jello (also house-made!). So so so good. I love how they prepared it so that it's not too sweet. It was perfect. Love the paper top on the cup. Love the compostable straw. Thank you for caring for the environment! Right now they have Miffy swag. So cute and ready for Easter! read more
