I've been to Mornings on First a few times now and have enjoyed it each time. The restaurant is decorated beautifully with a "Tiffany's" vibe. The service is generally good - since it's a new restaurant the staff are working extra hard to deliver well and may get busy at times, resulting in slower service or longer wait for food to come out. Coffee: If you want to try a few of their different iced coffees at once, I'd recommend getting the coffee flight - you get to try the s'mores, tiramisu, and cookies & cream lattes. I really enjoy the s'mores and c&c ones! Breakfast/brunch: I've ordered the Ohana pancakes a couple times and really like them. The pancakes are pretty big and I've taken them to-go before and they've kept and re-heated well. The Belgian breakfast is good too and very filling. Their waffles are crispy! Lunch: I've gotten the turkey tango sandwich which was a good amount of fillings with a good layer of pesto. My husband just tried the OG burger and didn't love it - the burger was cooked well but overall flavorless. The accompanying potato salad was really good, and I'd recommend over the fries. Overall I recommend giving Mornings on First a shot. You may have to wait a bit for a table or for your meal to come out, but it's worth trying out for yourself :) read more

I ordered the turkey, pesto, and sundried tomato sandwich. I enjoyed the buttered and toasted sourdough bread. Overall, the sandwich was a bit dry and could have used more pesto. The fries were delicious, though! Looking at people's plates, the pancakes and waffles looked tasty - I'll have to try them for brunch next time. I wanted to order a coffee because they had some intriguing drinks, like a s'mores latte. However, I learned that oat milk costs $2 extra! That's bananas! Just basic. Nothing really special on the menu from any other breakfast spot. I asked for my eggs to be over medium and they were over super easy, like a ton of uncooked white egg. Not medium. Homemade jam but they only give you a super small tablespoon of it. Our bad for coming at their peak Sunday time but the lady in front told us 20-30min but it was 45min to wait. They have a ton of heat lamps in the back patio but none in the front where they had a ton of empty tables on a cold morning. My husband and I had breakfast last Saturday morning during their soft opening week. It far exceeded our expectations! We timed it just right and got a patio seat when we arrived. The hosts were friendly and attentive. The patio tables have cool little anti-fly whirligigs and plenty of shade. Service was prompt and friendly, and the menu options were great. I was especially delighted their house tea is Rishi. The London Fog was delicious. For me, the real litmus in breakfast places is Eggs Benedict. These did not disappoint. The poached eggs were perfect! If you're a specialty breakfast restaurant offering Eggs Benedict, you must be able to poach an egg properly - and Mornings on First nailed it! Other local breakfast spots have fallen short in this area and charged way more. These poached eggs were gloriously jammy and played well with the tasty Hollandaise sauce. I haven't even gotten to the potatoes yet! They were delectable-- light, crispy outside, creamy inside, and perfectly seasoned. These are the best I've had out! My husband enjoyed his breakfast burrito. He mentioned that it's the best he's had, with perfectly balanced fillings. It's a win because no one likes a bite with just potatoes. This is just not it. ...I definitely expected more. Came here on a Friday at 1pm ish. We were the only people there. There were 7 staff behind the bar chatting and talking. One staff was friendly and helped right away and was able to put in an order for our son. But when it came time to order more food, we had to wait until someone noticed us looking their way. No big deal. When they came over, we noticed they had a vegan waffle (not listed as an option on the kids menu) so we asked if we can change to a vegan waffle. The guy said yeah I can. He then barked orders at someone telling them to finish taking our order. 1. Don't talk to your customers that way. A simple no problem would do. 2. Don't act like big shit, bc you aren't. Esp when you are rude to people who work for or with you. Not a good look. Getting to the rest of what we ordered-the coffee flight-not even good, they were extremely watery. Seemed like something had alcohol but we weren't sure. Biscuits and gravy aren't made in house it seems, seems something that's frozen that's warmed up...I can def do that at home. Service this morning was terrible. We will not be returning. From now on it is the Riada or The Breakfast Club. Both have a good breakfast and far superior customer service. This morning my granddaughter asked for water, we had to ask and it finally came half way through breakfast. My wife ordered crispy bacon and it was far from crispy. In addition her meal was supposed to come with potatoes. When delivered the waitress said she would be right back with her potatoes. She delivered them the same time as they brought us the bill....at least 30 minutes later. I had to ask three different servers for a second cup of coffee. I have never had worse service. This was my third time here, I really liked this place and hate that today's experience ruined any chance of me ever coming back! We first came yesterday on a Saturday and for some reason they were closed. We decided to try again Sunday and per usual there's a wait, which is normal with most places on weekend. We got on the wait and were told a 25 min wait. We waited and got an update our table was ready, but the young girl in the front said due to delays in the kitchen we have to wait another ten min. The table with no umbrella outside had been ready but apparently they can't seat us because we would have to wait to order so she said ten minutes. We waited and she asks if it's okay to be seated at the table with no umbrella, we sat for five minutes given we waited so long and placed our order quickly to avoid any further wait. The waitress now tells us due to kitchen being backed up the food will take about 30 min. The sun is beaming hot and I'm pregnant and five minutes in I'm already feeling overheated and get a migraine, same with my husband. I go and tell the girl in the front to find us another table and she says once someone is seated they can't move them and if we want another table we have to wait in the queue AGAIN, apparently that's their policy. So I ask to speak to the manager, she brings me over this girl named Denise and I explained to her situation. Denise seems understanding and gets us seated inside right away. Now comes the wait! Half hour turns into 45 min, inside we had to find our waitress so we can get cold ice water from the heat outside, we are still waiting when a couple with kids he were waiting same time as us gets seated. They order right away and whilst waiting Denise comes and tells us our first next, when in fact it wasn't. The family next to us got their food, which they had kids and I was glad they tended to then but the adults food came as well. My hubby just ordered a veggie omelet and I had ordered the simple, 2 eggs scrambled, with toast and potatoes. It's been an hour and every one had their food except for us. One hour to the exact time our waitress gets us our food. My hubbys omelet was missing the cheese and my food was cold. After the waitress comes to ask how everything is I tell her he's missing the cheese and to ensure we are not charged for it. After we get the bill, the charge is on there and we tell her so she goes to get it fixed. She comes back and the bills still not fixed and she goes back again, and this time I can see Denise the manager fixing it. We get the correct bill and pay and we get no apology or anything, the couple next to us got an apology and discount and a smile. Worst experience ever!!! If they are telling people the kitchen is backed up and longer wait for food then why the hell are they taking in more and more customers and putting them on the wait list and making them wait to get seated and told to wait again for their food for an hour! Absolutely horrible customer service! Only highlight was the Hispanic worker cleaning tables and who joked and put a smile on peoples faces! read more

On a Saturday morning, we came for brunch. 10 minutes since we were seated, no one came to take our order. We had to haul a waiter to force them to take our order. 45 minutes go by, no food. When we asked, someone said now they are making it and confirming if this is what we really wanted. She is rude & short and sends the owner. The owner instead of apologizing says oh we only had the order for 25 minutes. The receipt says order was at 10.32 we didnt get the food till 11.25. Never knew 25 minutes were this long ! Horrid service. We wanted a table outside and they had a bunch of available ones. They said because we had a baby we couldn't sit outside. Then we go inside and they take us to this cramped table in the back and when I asked them if we could sit at the table next to it because it had more room they said no this is a 5 person table. This is at a time there were so many tables empty and there was no rush of customers. The server girl who walked us inside was very rude about it all too. When I asked her how she would fit a high chair in the cramp table that she had taken us she literally shoved it next to me instead of answering my question or being even mildly considerate to explain what she was going to do. We left and will not be going back. There are so many nice and accommodating places in Livermore that value their customers and don't discriminate because they have babies. Every time has been great, so I figured it was time to review. We arrived on Saturday, just before 9. There was seating available inside and out, but we chose to sit at the bar. We were quickly greeted by our server, Julie. She was friendly and helpful with recommendations, as I was on the fence about what to order. I ended up getting the mushroom toast and it was fantastic! I didn't realize it came with a salad, but was pleasantly surprised with what a compliment it was to the mushroom toast. The mushroom toast also included avocado, so I didn't regret not having the Avocado Toast. It was so good, I've been thinking about it every morning since. My hubs got the Chiliquiles. I stole a bite and they were delicious too! On other visits, I've had the Breakfast Tacos and Eggs Benedict. All were delicious and I'm looking forward to going back! read more

Tried this new spot for a late morning brunch on Sunday. It was only 2 of us but we were told there was a 20 min wait. We went toward the farmer's market then came back. I'm glad we did because another couple had just walked up and he offered them to sit at the bar for an immediate seat. When he returned, I asked him why he didn't offer us a seat at the bar... he didn't have a response. Thankfully, a table had just opened up. Once seated, we were promptly greeted by our server. The friendly servers were the saving grace for this spot. I ordered the Farmer's Omelette with egg whites. It was brought to the table originally with regular eggs. They took it back and quickly brought the correct omelette out. It was simply okay. Low quality ingredients and the potatoes looked like the kind you get from the frozen section of the grocery store. My boyfriend's breakfast burrito was smaller than he anticipated and it tasted okay. Nothing to get excited about. The plate presentations could use some love. A sprig of something green and a couple orange slices could go a long way in making things look more appealing. Came by at 8am and asked to sit outside as it was still cool out. We got a hot latte and an iced latte w/ cold foam added as I was curious what it was. Tasted like foamier whipped cream, would get it again. Ordered the farmhouse omelette and belgian waffle breakfast. Portions were very generous and they definitely did not skimp on adding ingredients to the omelette. Everything was tasty but the potatoes were my favorite by far. They're lightly fried and tossed with bell peppers and onions and just seasoned deliciously. Only negative is that there were flies buzzing around everywhere which is a risk of sitting outside. It seemed like they even had a fix for that as they were adding little side fans to the tables to deter them from landing. Would come back if I was craving a big breakfast. read more

My fam and I had the opportunity to have brunch here 2x recently, usually they are fully booked even with the back patio open where wait time can be anywhere from 30-45mins during peak hours say 11:30am-12:30pm on weekends; it was special today since we took the day off to make up celebrating my daughter's bday which was yesterday so there were plenty of seats! The 1st and 2nd time there we ordered the same items lol except for the biscuits and gravy since the portions are very generous! We ordered the following with all homemade potatoes: 1x Eggs Benedict (the hollandaise sauce is just right; not too sour and/or bitter tasting that comes with Canadian bacon) 2x Western Omelette (very nice and hearty with chopped slices of smoked honey ham, green bell peppers and onions made just right without all the oil and grease underlying) 1x All American Breakfast with Ham Steak (comes with 2 eggs, 2 enormous buttermilk pancakes and 1 incredible smoked honey ham steak made extra large that needs to be placed on a separate plate LOL) 2x Lattes (you can add flavors to it like Hazelnut, Caramel and/or Vanilla) 1x London Fog Latte (this is now my GO TO for when I'm feeling like having a fusion of tea and latte; best of both worlds) 1x Steam Milk (kids temp as much as possible so that it's not too hot and if it is, they are really nice about if you request for a little bit of cold milk to even it out) I want to give a very special shoutout to our 1st waiter Antonio AKA Ant, he is super cool and filled with positive energy vibes! Ant made sure we were taken cared of even though it was a full house, he works very hard and moves fast to keep his customers happy especially for my daughter today where he treated her a grand Belgium waffle dessert topped with slices of strawberry/banana and whipped cream in mid then coated with a light chocolate drizzle. All wonderful experiences and lasting impressions with fair prices and even super swag Hot Wheels for kids (gotten an Aston Martin and Batmobile). Once you have eaten here, you probably would not want to go anywhere else. We've been to other brunch places (I mean you name it, there's a handful of established ones NOT WORTH all the rave) and we have stopped going to them since nothing stood out and one of them has gotten so bad that they lowered the quality of their food AND how dare they come out of the kitchen with burnt food masked in the omelette, it is a disgrace. So yeah, if you have the time and are not in a rush then you most definitely need to have brunch here; I'll try their burgers/sandwiches one day lol. Parking can be a hassle since there's very limited one slots sectioned by funky stationary trees, there's more public parking around the premises where you may need to walk a few blocks and one open spaced lot during construction around the gas station where it can be easily missed lol.
