Chilaquiles
Whitney T.

Put my name down for Sunday brunch for 2. Waited about 40 mins to be seated around 12:50pm, but it wasn't too bad because there was the farmers market and coffee shop nearby. Got the chilaquiles with sunny side eggs on top, paige's french toast, and the leige waffle! The chilaquiles was amazing! It was a huge portion, full of flavor, and the chips that werent drenched in the sauce were still crunchy when it came out! I enjoyed this dish! My bf got the french toast and waffles, both were also amazing. He really liked the waffle. It was fluffy and bready and had a sugary crunch to it. Paige's french toast was delicious with nutella and banana filling in it. The food came it within 10 minutes, which wasn't too bad! The server was very friendly! Props to the workers for juggling so many tables at a time when it's super busy! I think this is a great place for Sunday brunch! I didn't try the coffee flight but would love to try it next time!

Espresso Martini Flight
Jessica J.

Came here to say for a Sunday brunch and was so happy I found this place. My veggie scramble was delicious exactly what I needed and paired with the espresso martini flight I was going strong to start my day. The biscuits and gravy had great flavor but unfortunately got cold pretty quickly. Cute outside area to enjoy the beautiful weather but it looked like that had some good indoor seating as well. Our server was so nice and welcoming I giving us ideas on the menu and I was so happy she told me about the flight (this is going to be my new go to) I will definitely be back here with the girls over and over again.

Chick Magnet

Came here with a bestie at his request. The service was decently fast, there was no wait, and it was very nice! It was in a day that it was pouring rain and we ate outside but the umbrellas they have did wonders! I ordered water and the chick magnet sandwich. I almost got the hot chicken sandwich but wasn't feeling spicy that day. the one I got was actually really good! They just opened a brand new parking garage literally right behind this restaurant so you don't have to keep circling the downtown street over and over again anymore lol. Cute place, kinda modern, worth going to.

Chilaquiles (~$20)

We went here for Father's Day and overall weren't that impressed with the meal. Staff were super friendly though a little slow since we were seated in the back. I wouldn't make an effort to come back though. PASS: + Chilaquiles (~$20) were nicely crunchy and came with chorizo! I did like how the eggs were cooked. Just not a fan of the green salsa they use as it was too tangy to enjoy

Philly Omlette

Table for 4 on a Sunday afternoon with no reservation and luckily the wait was only about 20 mins. We were seated outside in their front patio, overall space is pretty big as I noticed later on that they even have seating in the back and inside too. After having been seated, it took quite some time to get our food. Staff nonetheless were nice but a little slow to bring over requests (ie napkins). I ordered a Bloody Mary - 2/5. Tall cup but I felt like there was very little inside. Overall taste was nothing out of this world, very bland as was the garnish. For food I ordered the Philly Omlette - 2/5. The meat was so dry and lacked any seasoning! Disappointing - salsa was the only thing that saved it and ketchup for my potatoes. Of which, the potatoes were OK. Portion is huge, I definitely could have shared with 1 other person. Overall my experience was OK. Not to be my first choice for a future brunch spot in the area.

Joe's Omelette (spinach/onions/tomatoes/mushrooms) county potatoes and toast

Omg! I've been having breakfasts in Livermore for a long time and how did I miss this place?!!! Super cute place with multiple seating areas, out front, indoors and back area with a BAR!!!!! The back area is so spacious to accommodate large parties! Let me tell you about the food!!! I got Ohana Pancakes, it comes with pineapple, coconut and Mac nut syrup. I got mine without pineapple and it was drooling delish!! The two pancakes were light and airy, not dense like some pancakes. Sprinkled with coconut and a heaping serving is their delicious Mac nut syrup!! I wish there was more mac nuts...but all good, still delish. My sister ordered Joe's omelette (scramble listed on the menu). It comes with ground beef, spinach, onions, mushrooms, and cheese. Comes with a side of toast and country potatoes. Again, a large portion of deliciousness! We also ordered Aloha mimosas- made with bubbles, vodka, passion, and guava. I couldn't finish it cuz they made it so good the alcohol was getting to my head This place is going to be a repeat place cuz I want to try everything on the menu! Everything we had was very tasty! Oh and of course one of our fav servers works there now. He didn't serve us but glad I got to see him. Pepe- we'll seat where you serve next time!!! See you again! I was so preoccupied by the cute place I forgot our server's name, which also provided excellent service!!! Thanks everyone! We'll be coming back again. And for those early birds like me, this place is open 6am-3pm only. So good to know I have somewhere to go that early in the am.

We came on a Saturday morning and we got sat immediately. They have a front patio and back patio along with inside seating. They had a variety of drinks and food to choose from. We got the cookies and cream cold brew and the tiramisu latte and both were good! For food we got the chicken fried steak and the french dip with provolone cheese and both were very good.

Kid and dog friendly brunch spot. Came by at 11am on a Saturday with my mom and infant and grabbed a shaded table on their front patio. Their front patio overlooks main Street and is a great spot to people watch on the weekend. Our server was friendly, efficient and gave recommendations when asked. I ordered the sunrise sandwich with country potatoes and a latte and everything was yummy and thoughtfully prepared. Servings are quite generous too! I will definitely return and especially recommend for anyone dining out with your fur ptr human baby!

Cute outdoor patio dining.

I came here to Mornings on First on a Friday morning and we opted for outdoor seating since we brought our dogs. Such a cute and comfortable dining space on a beautiful February morning. Service was swift and friendly from beginning to end. The menu was not overly large, but you are bound to find a couple of items that intrigue you. My friend and I decided to share as we normally do two dishes - the Mushroom Market toast and the Dad's French toast. Prices are average for the area, but definitely breakfast prices are climbing anywhere you go in the Tri-Valley. Our food came out not long after we placed our order. Our server continued to be very helpful with all of our requests including getting side dishes and additional condiments. Flavors were good, however, the bread for the mushroom toast seemed a bit stale. Other than that, the ambiance truly won me over. This is definitely worth a try!

Well, what did I say about this place. I was in the area and was hungry. My daughter and I were looking for places to eat breakfast. We stumbled upon this little gem. Is small. It's cute and it has a vibe that matches downtown Livermore. If you're hungry and have time definitely check this place out you won't be disappointed. I am pretty sure this place gets super busy on the weekends and parking is a little tough.

The staff here is incredible !!!! working like a well-oiled machine all day long. I've seen assembly lines with less efficient processes than this crew. There was never a moment of huddling or bustling around confused; they turned over so many dishes and tables while I was there, and still had time to check in on you with a genuine smile. My only issue was with the female owner. When she stepped in, she seemed to throw off the rhythm the staff had going. During my meal at the counter, I watched her talk down to and directly order around three employees right in front of customers. A little "please," or pulling someone aside privately, would go a long way for both employee morale and the customer experience. Now for the food: it was great, if a little light on salt (though that might just be my own preference). The tacos had good flavor and just the right amount of sauce. I'd recommend the crispy potatoes, and the French toast is a hands-down guilty pleasure. The latte was solid and came out fast. Overall, I'd absolutely stop by again.

All American Breakfast
Nicki P.

First time visiting Mornings On First for a belated Mother's Day breakfast. We were promptly seated and offered either indoor or outdoor dining. We opted for outdoors since it was a nice day. I got the All American Breakfast with egg whites and bacon and cold brew to drink. My son got the French toast breakfast. Order came out in about 20 minutes. Everything was delicious but the bacon was a standout as it was extra crispy and amazing!!! Generous portions so I was stuffed when finished. I saw a lot more on the menu that I want to try so I'll be back!

Stew's special
Hannah K.

Mornings on First wouldn't be my first brunch spot in Downtown Livermore, but they ended up having no wait on a Sunday mid morning so we decided to try it! We ordered the Stew's Special (French toast, 2 eggs, and choice of meat) along with biscuits and gravy. The order took longer than expected to come out. Our favorite part of the order was the pork sausages, but I wouldn't come for the French toast as there are other spots nearby that do it better. Overall the service and experience were good but I still stand by my statement that this wouldn't be my first choice for brunch in the area. Their outdoor seating out front looked cute though if you are looking for a patio brunch experience!

Yelp helped me find Denica's Real Food Kitchen and it was a delightful experience. From Liliana's recommendation of the Chorizo Breakfast Tostadas which were DELICIOUS and exactly the sort of unique item for which I was looking, to Server Wilmer rapidly delivering the superb food outside to me, who was also gracious enough to bring me out some water and additional salsa, which I didn't realize were available inside as "self-serve," yet he didn't bat an eye. He was great to follow up a few times as well. The chow had fresh sliced avocado, and tomatoes with perfectly cooked eggs on top of crispy tostada-style & chorizo with excellent flavor. Well done!

I almost forgot we had to order first before sitting down lol. I have been on a French Toast kick recently, looking for the best French Toast in the bay. This Ube Stuffed French Toast might have a spot in the top 5. I scarfed this down in like... 10 minutes but it was so good. Ube custard wasn't overwhelming. None of this was overwhelmingly sweet even though it presents itself like a dessert. I have a sweet tooth tho so take that with a grain of salt lol. I only used a little bit of syrup but could've easily went without it. The banana in the middle was perfectly ripe and gave a nice relief of sweet freshness. Toast was thick brioche toast so not the lil flimsy slices of bread. Because this was $22 + tax and tip... I will try to recreate this at home. Their napkins had a nice message on it! Didn't remember seeing that the last time I was at a Denica's. They also have what looks like a kid area with toys? Kid table? Idk I saw it in the corner of my eye but I thought that was cool too. I had a bite of the kalua pork hash and * chefs kiss I would've been happy to order that. My lady really enjoyed the cookie butter latte as well. Will happily come back soon.

A Fun Breakfast Stop Before Hitting the Road!…read more Stopped by Denica's Real Food Kitchen to meet up with friends for breakfast before driving up to Davis to see my daughter! This cute, diner-style restaurant has a casual, welcoming vibe where you order at the counter first, then find a seat and wait for your food to be brought out. I ordered the "This and That" with buttermilk pancakes, bacon, and eggs cooked my way, hubby got the chorizo breakfast burrito, and our friends went with the pink guava pancakes and veggie omelette. The place was BUSY, filled with lively conversations, clinking dishes, and the mouthwatering aromas of breakfast being served! Service was quick and friendly despite the crowd. They also have an impressive display of pastries, cookies, pies, and tarts that looked almost too good to pass up. Everything we tried was delicious, and there's even a small play area in the back to keep the little ones entertained. Great food, generous breakfast options, and a fun, bustling atmosphere make this a spot worth visiting. Definitely a great way to fuel up before a road trip!

My daughter had the chorizo burrito and it was also good-sized and filled with a healthy amount of chorizo, eggs, and potatoes. The fruit cup for my granddaughter was much appreciated with its berries and chunks of pineapple.
