We ordered Chicken Fried Steak, Country Potatoes with Scrambled Eggs, Denver Omelette with Crispy Hash Browns, Scrambled Eggs with Country Potatoes and a Vegetarian Omelette with Steamed Vegetables and a side order Sausage Patties. The atmosphere in the restaurant is really nice. Love the decor. Service was adequate. The food was not great, ordered a club sandwich that was mostly just lettuce, tomato with a little bit of turkey and barely any bacon. The burger had an off taste to it. The cheese they serve taste like processed bulk cheese We ordered avocado and it was mostly brown. Overall it's not horrible, but it seems like they were trying to cut cost, and it affects the quality of the food. We didn't even finish our meals just wasn't appetizing. read more

Decided to try this spot bc I wanted a hearty breakfast with a side pancake. I was turned off by the old empty condiments. I ordered the Mr brick scramble which is ground beef onions and mushrooms no spinach w a side pancake and hashbrowns. I asked for crispy hashbrowns and they were crispy but tasted stale or been there for awhile On the grill. Scramble itself was ok no flavor. The decent item was the pancake. Didn't finish my food. Quieter than I expected for a Sunday morning. We'd planned to eat at Huckleberries but their doors were chained. Service seems to be fast today, server is super friendly and helpful. I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict. Huge amount of food (at least for me). Pretty tasty! Smoked salmon, red onions, tomato, capers. I ordered the country potatoes side. I've been meaning to leave a review. On the way back from my sisters house (who lives in San Leandro) we stopped at this spot for some breakfast. I was craving the chicken and waffles. My bf got the peanut butter and banana pancakes. Everything was delicious and freshly made. Presentation of food was immaculate. The servers were absolutely wonderful. I loved the way the inside of the cafe looked too. The only thing I would say is I wish the portion sizes were a bit bigger. Definitely would recommend this place for some yummy food! read more

I love this place! A great find on Yelp!! (1) Good food, reasonable prices, (2) friendly and prompt service; and a (3) nice, roomy and clean environment will keep me coming back! I'm not a big fan of American breakfasts as the food is typically heavy on the oil and butter, and almost always too salty. BUT NOT at 833 Brick Cafe!! We had a party of 2 and the DENVER Omelette came highly recommended. The server was quick and friendly, got us our water and coffee right away, then took our orders very quickly. Seamless great service! I ordered my omelette on the softer side and it came just that. The ingredients were fresh and tasty (seasoned just enough and not too salty; which is one of my biggest complaints of dining out). And the part that impressed me most is the hash brown--- browned perfectly with a slight crisp, and yet it is not greasy at all! What a delight! We stayed; enjoyed our cups of coffee (free refills!), and sat for a bit while dining... all relaxed in a nice in-rushed environment. Well...we tried. But won't be back. The place is cute, and our server is friendly. Unfortunately, though, you go to a restaurant mostly for the food and that failed. We were trying a new place, and left feeling disappointed. First off, the coffee was awful. This is such an easy thing to get right, and I was really looking forward to a good cafe cup of Joe. When I got it, it was so watered down that I could see the mixing stick all the way to the bottom of the mug. It tasted like hot water. Bad start. I had also ordered a water which I drank pretty quickly, and it sat there unfilled throughout our entire meal. I ordered the waffle with strawberries, no powdered sugar. When it came, I could immediately tell it needed a little longer in the waffle maker because the color was very light. It had okay flavor, but yes, needed longer to cook. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito. He was not impressed. He said there were so many tomatoes that he couldn't really taste anything else his first couple of bites. Then he got to the potato and said there were huge pieces of red potato, like almost an entire potato, not cut. There was also not very much bacon, and it came on a spinach tortilla which is just kind of odd for a breakfast burrito. All in all, cute place, nice staff, but won't be back unless we hear they've figured out the food side of things. read more

Haha We wanted to try a fee things so we got: Meat lovers omelette-- PACKED with meat! Def worth it! Breakfast burrito- had a spinach tortilla and was yummy! Kids egg breakfast- this was honestly a lot for a kids meal and definitely worth the price! Strawberry banana Bwaffle-- ordered with no whip and no butter (though I'm sure it'd be delicious with it!) Biscuits and gravy- these came cut in half and perfect for sharing Overall, we had such a great experience with delicious food! AND ITS SUPER AFFORDABLE! We have loved this place since the plandemic. Back then we were dining outside and it started raining and they invited us to come inside ("we aren't going to force our customers to sit in the rain"). The food is mostly very good (avoid the "soup"), portions are robust which makes the 2025 prices less of a sticker-shock. Service is great. Landon rocks! They get busy sometimes, but if you as a customer can cut them slack, the staff makes it worth the wait. Will continue to visit this place. read more

I really liked the vegetarian omelet it was very good, the "hashbrowns" not so much and the biscuit was old and hard. The day I was there it was quiet the server/host/bartender and all around hardworking guy was cool. But I can't get passed those soggy potatoes they called hashbrowns. Uninviting staff, not greeted by server. Coffee was hot, but not quality. OJ is not fresh squeezed ( they didn't advertise that, just my opinion that any good breakfast place serves fresh squeezed OJ). My meat lovers omelette was way too salty and hash browns were lukewarm. Server didn't bother to ask if we needed condiments or anything else when he dropped our food off, or ask how the food quality was until we were done. I ate 1/2 my plate as it wasn't enjoyable. Waiter did offer to remake or make something to go. It was too late for me. The service and food had left a bad taste in my mouth so I declined. Shame that I'm new to the area and this place is close by and it could have been my go to spot. Hope y'all have a better experience. read more

We lived in Livermore for a couple of years, but discovered this place only a couple of months before we moved. Which is a shame, because we love a good breakfast place, and 833 Brick Cafe is a *great* breakfast place. We were working in the Bay Area, and staying in Livermore, and there was no question we'd head there for breakfast this morning. A good egg cook is a treasure, and they have a treasure in the kitchen. Pancakes were fluffy, sausage wasn't dry, coffee was refilled without asking, portions were generous, and the service was, as always, friendly; they're glad you're there. I was excited to try this place. I wanted to go on my own, eat alone and really check out the place. I was seated next to a family with, well, a lot of babies, so at 60 yrs old, it was a little distracting but they were cute babies too look at, but very loud babies, LOL! The place was wide open so not sure why I was shoved in such a tight corner, then another family was sat maybe 14" inches from me, very invasive. The tables are set really crappy unless you get a booth for a little privacy. If I go again, and that is probably not likely, I would insist on a booth. The waiter flew over and gave me a menu, stood there while I read it very briefly refusing to leave saying, "you order now?". I replied, "uh yeah, sure, let me have the eggs benedict no tomatoes and a side of sausage". Well the food came out fast, but too fast sadly. The hashbrowns, were warm to cold, not browned at all so barely warm white looking hasbrowns was off putting at best. The egg benedict was ok, nothing special, at least the egg yolks were done right. The sausage was pre-cooked crappy sysco or jimmy dean, but it was cheap. It looked cheap and tasted even worse. Then I was charged $4.00 for a cup of coffee so I sat there until I had at least 3 full cups of coffee. I was shocked at the bill $30 bucks without tip, that is crazy stupid expensive. Save yourself a trip, go down to Livermore Casino where breakfast is $10/plate and at least it tastes good. I would never return back to this place. read more

First my two stars are in no way reflective of the level of service I got today. My waiter was quick, efficient and friendly. My two stars reflect the food. I ordered the traditional Benedict and it came quickly. First take I noticed that they really skimped on the hollandaise hardly seeing any. Second the muffin was chewy and had a bad consistency. The hash browns were unevenly cooked and not fresh. The egg was perfectly done but the ham was old and nasty. I won't be back but I gave my server a really good tip for his service level. read more

This place doesn't look like much from the outside and the inside is a crazy hodgepodge of random decor but when I tell you the food is amazing you forget everything else! It's a little overwhelming when you first walk in and when I went it was not busy at all. We were sat immediately and offered drinks. We both got mimosas which were ok, nothing special but the food more than made up for it. Their pancakes are the size of dinner plates and so fluffy! And their omelette was very tasty. Not so overly stuffed that the contents aren't cooked all the way through. Our server was really fun and helpful. Our coffee and water glasses never got below half. My sister, my mom, and I decided to try a new spot to have brunch this morning. We were hoping this place would be good, but it was mediocre. The food was okay. The service was okay. Our waiter was quite attentive at the beginning of our meal, but after we finished eating our meal our waiter was no longer making sure he was taking care of us. He dropped off the bill when we were still eating then we were waiting for him to come back afterwards to see if we needed anything else. We wanted a box to take our leftovers home, but he never came back until I placed my card in the slot to pay the check. It wasn't until then we finally got our box. First impressions are important.
