Weeknight. After a high school game. Glad they were still open late to accommodate us and gave us service with a smile. Nice western feeling inside. Lots of tables for big parties, small parties, and tall tables at the bar. Food arrived pretty timely. Our party of 10 got our plates roughly about the same time. I ordered the 1-meat combo with 4 ribs. Decent size for a solo eater that comes with 2 sides. Garlic mashed potatoes were tasty. The side salad was good and the dressing came on the side. The ribs were on the dry side and a little burnt to my liking. Needed a steak knife to cut the meat off the bone. Otherwise, it tasted good. Burger was moist and flavorful. I'd love to come back when I'm more hungry earlier in the evening. read more

Sauced BBQ & Spirits in Livermore was an okay experience overall. The surrounding area was fun, but the restaurant itself was very loud, making it difficult to relax or have a conversation. The staff was not very attentive during our visit, and the service could have been more consistent. The brisket nachos were the highlight and had good flavor, but the rest of the food was not especially memorable. I have had better barbecue at other restaurants and even at home, so the meal did not stand out enough to justify a return visit on its own. This seems like a better place to visit for happy hour, drinks, and a lively atmosphere than for the barbecue itself. Beyond happy hour, I probably would not make a special trip back. read more

PSA: They no longer serve potato salad (!) I was craving for some good ol' American potato salad (it was July 4th weekend) to go with my BBQ.. to my surprise, they took it off their menu! Other potato options were waffle fries or a whole baked potato - not the same as potato salad IMO. Brussel sprouts 5/5 - Glazy and crunchy. I definetly would recommend this as a starter. Chicken wings 5/5 - We ordered sauce on the side. They were good even without it. The chicken was so juicy, actual chicken juice and not oil. Ribs 4/5 - Tender, would order this again. Brisket 4/5 - Tender, would also order this again. Burnt ends 3/5 - Just meh. Could be just a personal preference though. Tri-tip 2/4 - It was dry and tough. I would skip this next time. Corn bread 4/5 - It was a good side to have to balance all the meatiness. Mac n cheese 4/5 - Very rich and cheesy. Service 5/5 - Our server was attentive and refilled our group's drinks plenty of times. read more

Here's a polished 5-star Yelp review that still sounds like you: Nakia and I had a great experience at Sauced BBQ in Livermore! We started with the fried pickles, and they were absolutely amazing--crispy, flavorful, and the perfect appetizer. For our meal, we shared the chopped tri-tip salad, and the staff was kind enough to split it for us, which we really appreciated. We also ordered the Bumpkins egg rolls, and I have to say... they are a must-try! They were absolutely delicious. For drinks, we tried the Sauced Favorite cocktail flight for $20. They were just okay, but we also had two shots of Crown Royal, which definitely hit the spot. Our total came to $109, which wasn't bad at all considering everything we ordered, including the drinks. The restaurant was clean, nice and cool inside, and the staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. We'll definitely be back the next time we're craving some good BBQ! read more

This place is huge inside and great seating outside. Service was totally awesome! So many choices on the menu and settled on the Boujee burger. The shaved tri tip was sliced to perfection! Alot of burger on this one. Going to try the brisket next time. read more

Sauced BBQ is a spacious restaurant with a menu featuring classic American barbecue and sides. The BBQ Combo Plate came with a half pound of each selected meat along with two sides, and we tried the smoky sliced brisket (which came with both lean and fatty slices) and the pulled pork, which had a milder flavor but acted as a good conduit for the sauces--my favorites were the Carolina Gold Mustard Sauce and the Hot Barbecue Sauce. For our sides, the Baked Beans were sickeningly sweet (to the point of being inedible), but the Chili Mac (mac & cheese topped with a spicy, tomatoey brisket chili) was a hit. We also got the Tri Tip Chopped Salad, which came with grilled and smoked tri tip (cooked to a juicy medium) served over greens topped with bacon, blue cheese crumbles, hard boiled egg, tomato, red onion, parsley, and ranch dressing, all served with a honey-glazed piece of cornbread on the side. Overall, the food here was decent, though some of the sides were overly decadent. The service was friendly but surprisingly slow for a barbecue restaurant, where most of the items are ready to be served. read more

Sauced used to be the SPOT! I haven't been in around a year but decided to come watch the warriors play today and enjoy some barbecue. I ordered a 3 meat combo and wasn't completely disappointed but noticed a decline in quality. The burnt ends felt rushed. Had a chewy dry texture. This is frustrating because it used to be the sole reason I'd stop by, rednexican nachos with burnt ends! The jalapeno cheddar sausage was ok but was missing that snap. However, The wings were stellar! Parking in downtown Livermore on a Friday night should be an Olympic sport. I'll be back as it is Still one of the better spots for barbecue out of the slime options in the area. read more

We had a really good time here. We were celebrating a birthday party and there was eleven of us. So a pretty decent sized group. Everybody got their food on time without any errors. Appetizers came out first with plenty of time allowed before the main dishes came out. Food was the right temperature which was great. The brisket was tender and juicy. The wings were a little dry but not so much it was annoying. The cauliflower bites were amazing! The drinks were pretty good. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was crowded but not too crowded. The bathrooms were clean as well. We would come back. read more

We love this as a go-to dinner place. We try to go on the weekdays because it does get pretty busy on the weekends. I have tried almost all the different types of bbq and so far my favorite are pork belly burnt ends, brisket, the jalapeno cheddar sausage, and the smoked wings. I also really like the corn bread, mashed potatoes, and the cauliflower appetizer with Korean style sauce. Oh, my favorite bbq sauce is the hot Kansas style. Perfectly spicy! The lemonades and beer on tap is also perfect. Highly recommend! read more

My wife and I have been here twice now and the food is amazing. We both do the two meat combo and helps us then be able to split 4 meats. I usually get the chicken and brisket burnt ends and they taste great and she gets the pork and sausage. The sides are great as well and the service is also fantastic. read more

We stopped by on a Friday evening around 6pm and parking was a bit rough! We managed to find parking in a parking garage a block and a half over. When we arrived around 6PM, the place was packed, but there were still tables available. We got a table outside, and fortunately their heaters were working because it was 50 degrees outside! We were seated and served quickly. The lady was awesome. We ordered a few things to share and the lady heard how excited we were about the corn bread and laughed. She later brought us an extra piece(so yes, we did tip her extra extra!). The food was good, but they were out of burnt brisket ends(not surprsing), so we got the burnt pork belly ends. Also very tasty. Albeit Sauced is not the cheapest place around. We had a good time, the food was good. The server was good. The parking is unfortunately difficult, but that's not their fault. read more

- went for lunch and they have a specific lunch menu with "smaller" portions -opted for the 4 meat lunch plate which was perfect to share between two people. Comes with your choice of 4 meats and 2 sides -jalapeño popper appetizer was delicious with the pulled pork stuffed inside and fried perfectly -brisket was just okay, many slices we got were fatty - pulled pork and ribs were the best meats we had on the plate - I enjoy most of their bbq sauces and they give many options for every palate read more

Came here to eat after waiting out an Altamont road closure! The place is warm & inviting with plenty of space for a bigger party. Large selection of food to choose from. Their cornbread is really good, salad ingredients are super fresh and the tri tip is nicely cooked. I only wish the tri tip had been chopped up to enjoy through the salad. They also have a great drink selection and are open decently late for a late night bite! I would definitely recommend trying this place if you're in the mood for a good burger or bbq. read more

Yes, it's a bit pricey, but the portions are generous and worth it. The meats were beautifully cooked, with the potato salad being the standout. It was well blended with hearty chunks of potato and hits of bacon that added a great crunch. They have a variety of BBQ sauces on the table to try; our favorite was the spicy one. The staff was friendly, and there was plenty of seating. Overall, it's a great, casual place to bring friends, enjoy a meal, and chat. I'd definitely come back to try more items on the menu. read more

This is a fun place to hang out, and it just happens to have some tasty food too. The place is rustic with a country vibe. But it also has a sports bar vibe, with TVs in every direction. If you prefer a quieter meal, the outdoor dining area is really nice. The menu is pretty big, with meats (of course), salads, sandwiches, soups, burgers, and desserts. They really pack on the smokey flavor, and I can taste it even in the beans. What we ordered: + 3 Meat Combo (comes with 2 sides) - Tri tip (3/5) - found this kinda dry, but had nice smokey flavor - Ribs (5/5) - meaty with nice smokey bbq flavor - Burnt ends (4/5) - nice chewiness, not dry, and smokey - Beans (5/5) - smokey - Coleslaw (4/5) - good but a little wet + Hella Cali salad with smoked chicken (5/5) - for $2 more you can add a meat to the salad, so go for it. I got smoked chicken and it was a lot. The bbq ranch dressing has a slight sweetness that I enjoyed. This is a nice place for food, fun, and can be enjoyed by the whole family. read more

I want to start off by saying that I have been coming to Sauced for probably a decade now. The service has always been great, the wait time and order to table time have never been bad. The ambience always is great, good music, good crowds, always something to watch for those who just want to kick it and have a drink. The reason for the three star review is that I cant help but notice that the quality and portioning of food has diminished from prior experiences i had here in the past years. To make it worse, prices have only gone up due to inflation. We had the rednexican nachos, burnt ends, sliced brisket ends and fried oreos. The nachos and the fried oreos were great as usual, but the entrees, not so much. The temps were off and the taste was not there, it has not been for the past two visits for us. Not sure if it's the product itself or the preparation of it, but it's just not the same quality i was used to. It's still a good spot to visit, but I wouldn't recommend it as a go to BBQ spot in the Livermore area. read more

Came here for the first time on a Monday after a work meeting. Was really excited to see what the fuss was all about. My party was seated immediately as the restaurant was not busy at all. The whole restaurant was clean and had a nice southern touch to it. I ordered the 4 meat combo; Brisket, Tri-Tip, Ribs and wings. Unfortunately everything but the brisket was super dry. The bbq sauce made it a bit better, but i didn't really enjoy it. If I ever come back hopefully the food won't be dry. read more

This was the first time I had been to Sauced BBQ & Spirits. It was just wonderful!!! I had the Beef Brisket, corn bread and BBQ beans. Everything was so incredibly delicious. I came on a tuesday around 6pm and it wasnt too crowded at all. I got pulled pork and brisket, with the sides of garlic mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. The pulled pork was really good and the brisket melted in your mouth. There isnt much flavour in the brisket which is why the bbq sauce goes with it. The mac and cheese was alright but the mashed potatoes were really good. It was around 23 dollars for the two meat plate which isnt too bad. Our food took forever to come tho which is why its not 4 stars. Its a nice place, reminds me of a bar/tavern. read more

The burger was normal, nothing special. The tri tip and pork ribs were disappointing. The meat tasted dry and felt like it had been sitting for a while instead of freshly cooked. The ribs lacked juiciness, and the tri tip was tough in some parts. Flavor was okay, but the texture made the meal less enjoyable. I hope the restaurant pays more attention to freshness and serving food hot and freshly prepared. The server who served our table was nice, and the person setting up the table was also polite. However, another server who was not serving our table had a bad attitude when telling our group to wait during the table setup, which made the experience feel less welcoming. read more

The first time we came here, I can't say that I was impressed but we decided to give this place another try and boy, were we glad we did! The biggest difference was that the first time we came, we came at an off hour in between lunch and dinner when there weren't many customers and also we ordered the dishes that weren't one of their primary dishes. This time, it was during one of the sporting events at dinner, so the place was packed, but service was fast and Colleen, our waitress was wonderful. There is no bad seat in the house since there are so many screens, which was fun. The meats were amazing!! Tender, juicy... the sausage could've been a bit less chewy with the skin, but the cornbread and nachos were so good as well. The cornbread is especially good with the cinnamon spread/butter and the nachos were hands down one of the best ones we've had recently in the area. Will be back next time and order the same combo again! read more

It's a Sauced, same as all the others (meaning overpriced BBQ; but a few good menu items). My main issue with this location is for whatever reason it's impossible to get cell service in the building. It's so bizarre, the cell signal just drops the minute you walk in the door, forcing you to connect to their Wifi (which while free is spotty). As I said, very strange. read more

I love Sauced. It's such a great staple of BBQ in the Bay Area. Honey is from Texas, and this is the closest place we've found to TX BBQ. We came on a Saturday afternoon before St. Patrick's Day, so a lot of people were bar crawling. The inside was packed. It was a nice day, so we sat on the patio. A few people had their dogs with them on the patio. On this trip, we went off script and didn't order BBQ. We always get the brussel sprouts. They add pork belly to them, making them super savory with a mild touch of sweetness (chef's kiss). I love their bumpkins, so I had to get those too. Since the last time we were here, they updated their menu. They brought back the sweet potato casserole, which Honey loves. They also added the jambalaya, which was good as a side dish but not great. It was a large portion, so I see how they could offer it as a main. Honey said it was on the spicier side, but I didn't feel it. Honey had the fried chicken sandwich. She got all the toppings on the side and added some of their BBQ sauce to make it her own. She said the chicken was good, and the flavor combination she created made it even better. The Big Sexy. This is not for the weak. It was packed with flavors but so delicious. The mac & cheese with pepper jack gives you that gooey cheese sensation, the Nashville chicken was a perfect blend of spice and crunch, and the bacon added a little smoky taste. The slaw cut through some of the savory flavors with a hint of sweetness. OMG, it was good. As soon as it got to the table, I had the server give me a to-go box for half. If I had eaten the whole thing, I would have been in a food coma for the rest of the day. Overall, Sauced is a great restaurant with something for everyone. I always recommend Sauced to anyone who wants BBQ. read more

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and was craving BBQ. My girlfriend suggested we check out Sauced, and I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty all the food was. We wanted to order enough for the both of us and to have some leftovers for later. We got the 3-meat combo with the two sides, a side cesar salad, and an order of 6 buffalo wings. The buffalo wings were the first bite I took, and these were really tasty! Great flavor, not heavy on the buffalo, and juicy wings. The cesar salad felt like a true steakhouse salad. Great flavors, plenty of cheese, really good. (makes me want to get the full salad with bbq next time). For the meats, we got the burnt ends, tri tip, and the jalapeno cheddar sausage. I was torn between the sausage and burnt ends as my favorite, but both were really tasty. The tri tip was room temp and on the drier side, so room for improvement there. For sides, we went with the mac salad and potato salad. Both were really done well. Although the mac and cheese was also room temperature, wish it came out hotter. All the food came out pretty quick, less than 10 minutes after we ordered. Since things are prepared ahead of time, I think coming around opening would be the way to get the meats as fresh as possible. Overall, enjoyed my experiences and the food at Sauced, and wouldn't hesitate to go back. It's a great spot to watch a sports game too! read more

I keep giving this place another chance because it's conveniently located near my work, but unfortunately, almost every visit leaves me disappointed with the service. Typically 10 minutes or more to get a hello at the bar. Maybe bad timing at about 3:20 Today's experience was the final straw. I stopped in for a quick lunch during my break . The young woman who helped me was friendly and provided great service. However, when my fries arrived, there was little to no chili on them. I politely mentioned it to her, and she apologized and brought me a side of chili, which I appreciated. As I was getting ready to leave, a young man working behind the bar brought me a second bill after I had already paid. I explained that the additional chili was only provided because my original order was missing it. Instead of acknowledging what I said or having a conversation about it, he silently continued processing the charge, handed me the bill, and walked away. It wasn't about the small charge it was the lack of communication and customer service. Experiences like this are why I keep regretting giving this place another chance. Sadly, this visit has convinced me that I won't be returning. Justifying the two stars for mediocre barbecue and terrible service. read more

I was in the mood for bbq so I figured on making a trip to good ol' Sauced bbq. I went on a Saturday evening and the place wasn't busy, even though where it's located it has a lot of foot traffic. Anyways, I got easily seated with no wait. I ordered the 2 meat combo, and a sweet tea. I got the Tri tip, jalapeno sausage, cornbread and Mac and cheese as my options. At first glance, I thought it wasn't much food but after having a few bites, I took back my words. It was enough lol The cornbread was my absolute favorite. They even used real corn! The sausage was a tasty meat. Probably the star on the plate. The Tri tip tasted room temperature was a little odd. hmm. Sadly, my Mac and cheese, seemed as there wasn't enough Mac and way too much cheese. It was more cheese with Mac lol The sauces on the table are awesome though! The candy one and the habanero ones are my fav and do give a twist to your bbq. The one downside is I started to not feel good after 4 hours... I should have stayed away from the Tri tip. read more

Checked out a BBQ spot recently and tried the ribs and BBQ chicken wings. The wings were really good and definitely a highlight. The ribs were good too, but not quite the "fall-off-the-bone" style I usually hope for with great BBQ. Still enjoyable, but I feel like they could be even better. I came with a friend for lunch and while the company was great, the service was awful. Our lunch meal for 2 was $61 and we had water. For the price, I would've expected top notch service. Our server never checked on us, not once. We flagged down other servers who were passing by for stuff we needed like an extra plate. A box. We could've used a refill on our waters. At one point, one of the servers didn't see our hand waves but a customer did who was walking by, and went to go get that server for us. Like what?? And I apologized to that server for asking her for stuff bc I knew she wasn't our server. We saw our server again at the end of the meal when she brought the bill. We weren't asked if we wanted anything else. She never came back so we could pay and we had to leave! After waiting patiently for a long time, I got up and went to the front counter and asked the girl if I could pay there. I also asked for a couple bags at this point for our food since she brought us boxes but no bag. Like how is my friend who she brought 2 boxes for supposed to just hold it all in his hands. She didn't anticipate our needs at all. Also, at the time of ordering my friend asked for his corn bread to go, so...he had a few items to take home. I didn't finish my nachos so I also got a box. Upon reading another review here, they have a lunch menu, which we were not given or offered to see. My nachos w/brisket were okay, 4/5. I liked the sauces available at the table. I would've liked to have asked my server for a little cup or something to compliment my meal but she wasn't anywhere to be found. My friend got a 2 meat combo with wings & Burnt ends. The wings he enjoyed, said the burnt ends had a good flavor but were tough to eat. Overall, the lunch experience could've been better had the service been good. read more
