    Lobster grilled cheese

This restaurant has a lovely setting, very spacious and combined with Crema coffee shop. Street parking wasn't too difficult to find on a Sunday evening, and the place was fairly empty an hour before closing time. The second level seating was closed off, but there were plenty of open tables downstairs, so no problem. They have so many appetizing items on the menu, but it's not exactly accurate as to what they offer. For instance, they had lobster empanadas listed on the happy hour menu (all day Sunday), but the employee unapologetically informed us that they stopped making lobster empanadas months ago (well then why is it on your restaurant menu?!?). They were out of a couple other main seafood items as well. We ended up ordering half a dozen oysters, firecracker lobster roll, lobster grilled cheese, and lobster mac n cheese. It took 10 minutes for the oysters to be ready, and 15 minutes for everything else to be served at our table. The oysters were standard in quality and taste. The lobster roll was buttery with a nice kick, but not super spicy. The lobster mac and cheese was disappointing, though there was a nice layer of melted cheese and lobster chunks on top, beneath that was cheap looking macaroni shells in what tasted like frozen and reheated mac n cheese from the grocery store. The happy hour lobster grilled cheese sandwich looked like something off a kid's menu (but at least the taste was better than the mac n cheese). Not sure if we happened to come on a bad day, but our experience overall was just okay.

This is such a lovely and underrated place! I wasn't so sure about stopping into dinner after seeing some reviews. But, I'm so glad we did because we really enjoyed the food. There's ample parking on the side and plenty of tables inside while outside as well. There's ambiance of the place has a cool ocean vibe with accents of Vietnamese culture. The person took our order right away and was attentive when we were trying to decide. The food was really flavorful and I liked the different dynamics of the dish. Especially the slides, they were so delicious and juicy. The crab cakes were pretty fresh and tasted good with the ailoli sauce. While the fish and chips were a huge portion and pretty nicely fried. Definitely will be back for dinner!

Food was amazing! We had the seafood nachos, lobster taco, clam chowder in a bread bowl and sampler platers. It had calamari, deep fried oysters and fish. To drink we had michelada with shrimps and IPA.

Phenomenal lobster rolls and garlic fries that I tell everyone who listens about. I have been to this place a number of times, very consistent with flavor and quality every time.

    Firecracker lobster roll

June and Dina are not only adorable but serve up delicious food coupled with amazing customer service. We ordered a bit of everything but the favorite were the ceviche, firecracker lobster roll was hot and steamy and out of this world oysters. Everything came quickly but with enough time to finish what we already were devouring. Portions were generous and everything we had was so yummy. Give these sweet ladies a try-you will NOT be disappointed!

Found this place on Yelp searching for raw oysters. Didn't realize this place shared a building with Crema coffee. I was waiting at the register for a couple of minutes, and I looked in the kitchen to ask if they were open. The person said someone on the other side could help me. The other side meant at Crema. So I walked over and asked for help. Ordered the dozen mixed oysters on a half shell and the garlic noodles with lobster. The oysters came out first. Don't know what kind of oysters we got, but they were all good. One or two of the varieties were more on the briny side. Oysters were good & fresh. Oh! Oysters were also $2 each for happy hour (it was 2pm on a Sunday). Garlic noodles were very garlicky & tasty! There was a lot of lobster in it too. It's well worth the price at $17 in my opinion. I'd give a 3/5 for service since it was pretty slow. The staff was nice, but the oysters took about 15 minutes and the garlic noodles another 15 minutes. Also they didn't check on us after we got our food. Everyone was busy working on the Crema side. I think there was only one person in the Pier kitchen prepping and cooking.

I tried the coffee next door at Crema and it was good but they don't make their syrups fresh. They have a large selection of coffee styles. We are next door at pier 402 and I would come back for their HH. My tuna nicose salad had plenty of tuna and tasted fresh. The Paloma was fairly priced and was very effervescent. The only downfall was the ran out of bread bowl for their clam chowder and they served it with overly buttered sourdough slices. It was meh. It was a casual Saturday but enjoyed getting out and trying a new spot.

Vietnamese iced coffee + cream and crumb coffee cake + warm. :+)

From the moment we walked in, the restaurant struck the perfect balance of an energetic, vibrant atmosphere set against an elegant, earthy, warm backdrop. It manages to feel both incredibly lively and deeply welcoming all at once. The service here was impeccable. Cynthia and Lawrence provided seamless, white-glove service that was attentive without ever feeling stiff--they made our family feel like the most important table in the room. The true highlight of the evening, however, was Chef Nicko. We were able to meet him and benefit from hearing him describe the ingredients of our plates with a level of detail that almost makes each part of the recipe come alive. He also added the occasional history and inspiration behind a plate. Hearing the stories behind the food transformed an extraordinary menu into an unforgettable narrative experience. What made the night truly magical was how the food shifted the entire dynamic at the table. Our usual family dinner conversation completely dissolved, refocused entirely around each plate as it arrived. It felt like my family transformed instantly to a group of passionate foodies, analyzing textures, debating flavor profiles, and marveling at the presentation. With a meal this spectacular, it is nearly impossible to pick out a single "best" plate. Instead, if I were returning for a solo dinner and had to build my ultimate dream menu, here is exactly what I would order: To Start: the marinated olives, the pristine crudo, and the perfectly prepared octopus. The Main Event: A split pasta course of the rich tagliatelle and ravioli, followed by the filet mignon and the spectacular bone-in pork chop. The Finale: You cannot leave without ordering both the bright lemon pie and the classic, decadent tiramisu. If you are looking for more than just a meal, but a memory that will completely captivate your table, visit Eos & Nyx. We will be talking about this night for a very long time.

I think traditionally, you need reservations for Cielo, but their Winter Experience (ran through December and mid-January) is first-come, first-served. Overall, we are so happy we finally checked this place out, and that we were able to do so during the Winter Experience. We did find it overpriced (considering it's at Hotel Valencia... we weren't surprised) for what you get. I tried one cocktail (~$20) that tasted like a flavored soda, before switching to wine; my husband had 2 Old Fashioned, they were both made differently but both good. The food was good - small, shareable portions. We're happy to have finally stopped in, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come again. I always ordered the chicken dish, so when it came out this time, I was genuinely confused. The menu describes it as having a garlicky yogurt sauce, but there was none. I even checked their website afterward, and the dish I received looked nothing like the one advertised. I also looked through recent reviews and photos from other customers, and even those dishes looked very different from what we were served. If the recipe or sauce changed, I really think customers should be informed. When I asked the waitress, she explained that it now comes with a zhoug sauce instead, but that isn't mentioned anywhere on the menu. Oddly enough, the same sauce was also used on the Dorada fish dish. We also used to love the lamb, but they changed that dish too by removing the sauce and couscous base. I'm not sure why the changes were made, but it's just not the same anymore. Overall, it was really disappointing, especially since we chose to spend Mother's Day here. The food quality has definitely gone downhill. On top of that, the restaurant seemed extremely understaffed -- there appeared to be only about three servers working the entire floor all night.
