Lucky was one of the best servers I've had in a while. From the moment we sat down, he was super welcoming and just had a really good energy about him. He made us feel comfortable right away, checked in at the perfect times, and never made us feel rushed. What stood out the most was how attentive and genuine he was. You can tell he actually cares about the people he's serving, not just doing his job. He was patient, helpful with recommendations, and made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. We had a very good server and overall had a good service experience, but the food unfortunately was kinda meh. - Jamon croquettas - 4 out of 5 stars, pretty good, though small bites only - Beef empanadas - 2.5 out of 5 stars, flat flavor overall, needed more seasoning and would have benefitted from more of an acidic sauce like a chimichurri - Shrimp with garlic - 2.5 out of 5 stars, overall the dish was bland! Needed flavor or at a minimum more salt. It didn't help it was served on top of basic mashed potatoes. The grilled bread also wasn't toasted or seasoned, so more bland on top of bland. The shrimp was cooked well, but sad it lacked flavor. What a shame! - Mixed ceviche - 4.5 out of 5 stars. Definitely the best thing we had all night. A beautiful plate of mixed ceviche with great flavor, bracing acid and a nice little kick. Definitely also get the taro chips on the side to pair with the ceviche. We had their signature cocktails and it's the perfect kinda cocktail that pairs well with a rainy ambiance and a sunny day and we look forward to coming back on a sunny day to enjoy outside! And as Jazz said their cocktail menu pairs well with their food items. We had their tomato bisque perfect for a rainsy night), charcuterie board with jamon iberico and queso manchego (accompanied with fruits and a perfectly paired made-in-house jam) and had the paella de mariscos (the shrimp was my favorite, the hubby preferred the mussels and we both liked the squids texture) To top us off, we had a two glasses of their pinot noir and flan for dessert. Ambiance is very nice, and the back connects to a bar/speakeasy-type place! Paella: large enough to share with 2, but we had 3 peckish people and still had some left over. The physical dish is wide, but it's not deep. The sauce is definitely one of the highlights! Ceviche Mixto: recommended by the server, this was amazing! However, Rocoto pepper is a nightshade related to berries, and we had a berry allergy in our group. The server and manager were both extremely kind in remedying the situation, and even checked with their chef about all the ingredients. I appreciate their effort! It was alright but not as flavorful as I would expect out a good seafood based paella. Also I asked for a more burnt base but it came out still a little too soggy and without the crusty bottom I was expecting. The patatas bravas has a nice crunch to it but the aioli brava drizzles over the potatoes was incredibly little and sparing that we had to ask them to bring out more sauce on the side. Cerviche was fresh and good. I ordered their off menu, mezcal cocktail which has a little stronger tequila concentration than the ones I had in other places. Nice ambiance with modern setup. Santana Row has A LOT of new restaurants and we haven't been to any of them. Well, we knocked off 3 (yes, 3!) in one evening: Suspiro, Augustine, and Zazil. First, Suspiro. They have a "secret" bar, but unfortunately, it was closed for a private event. But the restaurant was so pretty and lively, and the hostess was so nice, that we decided to sit at the regular bar. Suspiro is Peruvian, which meant we had to order the Pisco Sour. We also got the Pitahaya, which had gin, dragon fruit, orange juice, egg white, and a Tempronillo red wine float. Since it was 87 degrees, ceviche sounded good, so we got that to snack on. We agreed that the Pisco Sour at Cascal's is still the best, but Suspiro had the most potential out of the 3 restaurants that we tried tonight. I loved the vibe! The restaurant was just so well designed, we really did feel like we were transported to Spain on a hot, sultry night! The service was good and the ceviche was fresh and a surprisingly large portion. We came here with a big party of 15 people. My biggest compliment is the service. From the woman at the front door taking people to their tables to the waiters to the team cleaning the table the service was the BEST. I never had to raise my hand for anything. If you start looking around for someone they will come right away to get you what you need. Sometimes the service alone will get me to comeback to the restaurant. However that was not the only bright spot. The Paella's were very very delicious. I am setting it apart to say the seafood items got me hooked. The seafood paella and the ceviche are so so delicious and a must try. Tucked away by Cinemark and the NetApp office is Suspiro, an aesthetically pleasing, Instagram-worthy Spanish and Peruvian tapas place. I wasn't sure what to expect, but their food was excellent. We ordered the empanadas de vegetales, croquetas de jamon, lomo saltado, papas bravas, squid ink paella, and cocktails: Poncho and an espresso martini. Everything came out super fast, and the empanadas and croquetas were to die for. I would've ordered more of the croquetas had I still had room for it. Overall, this was a bit of a mixed experience for me - some positives, but also a few things that made it hard to justify the price point (at least based on the lunch menu). First, service was very kind. The heater wasn't working inside while we were there, but they offered to bring me a blanket, which actually helped a lot. Food-wise, it was more mixed. The Ensalada Barcelona was actually quite good - fresh, well-balanced, and probably my favorite thing we ordered. The mocktails were also good, though on the sweeter side. If you like a sweeter drink, you'll probably enjoy them, but I personally would have preferred a little more balance. Unfortunately, the carpaccio de ternera was a miss for me. I rarely leave food unfinished, but I couldn't finish this one. It just tasted bad. The pan con tomate also surprised me - it was essentially a light tomato sauce on toasted bread, which felt a bit underwhelming for the price point. At the end of the day, for the price, I was hoping for a bit more depth. To be fair, I've only tried the lunch menu, so dinner may be a different experience. And I gotta say, I'm so obsessed with their Patatas Bravas, it's indeed too early to say this is the best potato dish I have had in 2026 but I believe it's true! Our server was friendly and sweet, he check-in on our table from time to time, and when we asked him which Paella size should we order for 3 people, he recommended the small size instead of upsell us for large, love that. Started our meal with cocktails: I got Lola with Vodka base and my girl got La Mar, Lola lowkey tastes like Sangria for me but the Lamar was very fruity. Beside the Patatas Bravas, we also ordered Croquetas de Pollo (6 pieces), Empanada de Carne, and Paella de Carne (Medium). For plating presentation, the Empanada definitely need a little more work to create the visually appealing experience, also the taste was okay, I'm not really feeling it. But the rest of the food we got was amazing and beautifully presented, the Croquetas was creamy and smooth, Paella was cooked to perfection and flavorful, I usually go with Mariscos for Paella but the Carne option at Suspiro definitely a hit!! Tried Suspiro for the first time celebrating a good friend's birthday. Didn't realize it's so close to the parking structure, the place is modern, with great atmosphere and ambiance. We were seated by the window, our waiter Jess (?) was very attentive and helpful. We ordered a bit more than needed for the three of us and had a wonderful time. They offer Spanish and Peruvian cuisine both authentic in flavor and elevated and presentation. Everything is portioned to share and we loved almost all of our choices. Most of the dishes came very quickly (almost too quickly) after we ordered, only the Paella took a little while. The standout dish of our tapas was the Mixto Ceviche, ($31) generous portions of very fresh seafood perfectly marinated in a tangy/spicy sauce. The added taro chip ($4) however was a bit oily not all crispy, wished we had the regular ones. The anchovy olives were tasty, we had to order a second helping ($5). Ensalada de Burrata ($23) was well received, definitely plenty to share. Also shared the Croquetas de Jamon ($15) and Bikini Trufado ($18), both delicious and rich but can be filling. We all loved the seafood Paella ($64), the 2 person portion can feed 4 if you also get some tapas, large prawns and mussels on top of tasty rice mixed with squid, one of the best Paella we had recently. The Lomo Saltado ($45) was the only miss, it was very salty to the point we all stopped after eating one piece. Mentioned to the manager, he was very polite and pleasant about our comments, we were later informed that they took the item off the bill. Our birthday friend also received a complimentary dessert, needless to say we appreciated the excellent customer service. The ambiance of this establishment is great for a date night or GNO; however, I feel like the food was just ok. The highlight was probably the truffle Jamon empanada because it was a grilled cheese. Pretty hard to mess up, but we enjoyed it LOL. Ceviche was good but I thought it was interesting to charge for chips. Wow! We snagged a last minute reservation for Sunday night for the main dining room and were very pleasantly surprised by the experience. The vibe is so hip and chic. My one complaint was the I was seated on a long bench that spanned multiple tables so that when one person moved, the whole row could feel it. However the food and service more than made up for this. Pan con Tomate - would have been excellent except they forgot to add salt, and then when they came back they just added regular salt instead of the flaky sea salt. Still, the bread was toasted to perfection and the tomato (even in winter) was fresh and generously piled on, without being soggy. Patatas Bravas - one of our favorite dishes, the potatoes seemed to not be previously frozen and were a delicious golden brown. Wish there was more of the brava sauce because it was sooo good. We got the aioli on the side to be vegan friendly, but it was also a huge flavor bang. Butternut squash soup - nuanced, flavorful, and comforting. Brilliant move to add some crunch with raw red onion, pumpkin seeds, and toasted ciabatta. Definitely not a one-note dish. Paella Vegetariana - the rice was cooked to the perfect bite with a lot of flavor. The veggies were also delicious on top, especially the mushrooms. I would have expected a more aesthetic placement of the veggies as they seemed tossed on top, and definitely wished for more mushrooms (especially at this price point). Also, menu stated broccolini and we got broccoli, though that's not too big of a deal. Tarta Chocolate - incredible and not too rich. High quality chocolate and a smooth velvety texture. The star of the show for me was the Polla A La Brasa. The chicken was done very well and maintained the juiciness. The salad was good, but those Fritas complimented the chicken well. The Tiradito De Pulpo was fine. The octopus was very soft, but the seasoning overshadow d the octopus and didn't allow for it to shine. Note, pick up the chips, it helps balance the texture. And we ordered an appetizer (the name escapes me) that had conflicting flavors. Further, the hot, from the shrimp, and the cold, from everything else, didn't work very well to me. Nothing really jumped out, but since we were there specifically for brunch, I still wanted to give it a try. We started with the Bikini Trufado, which ended up being the highlight of the entire meal. It was listed under the empanadas section, the truffle flavor was strong in a good way, and it was genuinely delicious. I would absolutely get it again. I ordered the Huevas Rotos con Jamón. The description sounded great on the menu, but when it arrived, I honestly wondered what I was looking at. The whole dish was very dry--expected to some degree because of the ingredients, but even with the sunny-side-up egg, it was still dry. The jamón was dry as well, and the whole dish was basically the egg buried under really crispy shoestring potatoes and pieces of jamón. That was the entire plate, and it was $26. We also tried the Huevas y Carne Asada, and the flat iron steak was dry too. The seafood omelette was good at least. Overall, brunch just wasn't for me here. We ordered the empanadas, paella, beef carpaccio, octopus, ceviche, and cocktails. We were underwhelmed by the octopus and were not the biggest fan of the olive taste. Everything else was good. Afterwards, we went to the speakeasy located behind the restaurant which offers a completely different vibe for more cocktails. We enjoyed our dinner and time here. Went here for a birthday dinner and got to say, it did not disappoint! I have had Spanish food from Telefronic Barcelona, but it was too salty for my preference. I came in here with that same fear and expectation. We got seated pretty quickly and it was a low lit interior. We got seated in a small booth with a chair for our 4th person. I definitely would have preferred a table that could seated us all properly. For our appetizer, we got the patatas bravas. It was very crispy with a soft interior. I thought the sauce was nice and not too creamy. My personal favorite appetizer was the chicken croquette. It in a sense tasted like a crispy croquette with a chicken salad type stuffing inside. Finally, we got the ceviche clasico. It was refreshing with the lime and raw onions. Wished it came with chips but was understandable. For the main entree, we got the paella. We were debating on getting the medium or large but opted in for the medium. I personally liked the chicken because it was nice and juicy without being dry. The dots of crema gave it a much needed sweet/creamy taste to balance the saltiness of the dish. My only compliment is that it needed to be crispier for the rice. I personally didn't mind the mushy-ish rice texture because I like that texture of rice, similar to risotto. Recently visited here for a special birthday surprise dinner. Really nice decor inside with outside access. Our staff was super patient and accommodating throughout dinner service. These are important aspects of any sit-down experience and should be highlighted frequently. Before I get into the food aspect, I want to comment about the restaurants phone and reachability. Someone needs to man that phone. Calling in to get reservations updates, adjusted, and to plan for a special evening was difficult. We had flower sent to the restaurant but was not sure if the staff received the message. In addition, we were running late and needed to inform the restaurant of our delay, but no one picked up the phone after prior to our reservations. This was 3-4 hours before. I almost dropped a star from their rating because of this event. Please addressed this issue! On to the dishes. Food here is delicious. We love the variety and choices that Spanish tapas have to offer. The sharing aspect is something I always enjoyed and Suspiro have plenty of combination option to build and select from. Croquetas de Pollo is amazing! You may need to get two of these. Ceviche is also a must. Believe we go the Micro version which had white fish, shrimp, scallops, and octopus. The food is always so delicious. We were craving Spanish tapas and Suspiro never disappoints. Our server this time around was named Lucky and I'm going to be cliche and say how lucky we were to have him serve us. We came here for our anniversary lunch while we were shopping at Srow, and had a pleasant experience. I walked over first with our dog as my husband was finishing checking out, and we got seated early. They were super accommodating and welcoming. I ordered the Paella Negra (Squid Ink Paella) first as it indicated on the menu that it'll take 25-35 mins to make, then when my husband arrived, we ordered the traditional sliced octopus and a mocktail for myself. The Maracuya mocktail (passion fruit, mandarin soda , lime and mint) was delicious. It's sweet & tart. The traditional octopus was good, with lots of pickled olives flavor so if you're not a fan of olives, this isn't for you. Lastly, the paella was also good. We ordered the size for 2 people, and it was larger than we expected. The rice was cooked perfectly but it lacked the crispy edge that we love so much from paella. However, the flavor was there.
