This little bar is okay and has a fun, laid-back vibe. It could use a little cleaning and maybe a refresh on the smell, but that might just be part of the aesthetic with the dim lighting and little luau feel. The drinks were yummy and nothing too fancy, which fit the atmosphere well. We sat at the bar and were served immediately. The drinks were strong, and I don't recall seeing a food menu since we only had drinks. It felt like a dim tiki hut in the best way. I'd probably stop in again while bar hopping, but it wouldn't be my first thought for a destination visit.

    Cute glasses

Great little pop in spot for a tiki drink. Happy hour until 7p every day. Didn't try the food but maybe next time

My friends and I came here after work on friday to enjoy happy hour. They had really good deals from open - 7pm! We decided to sit outside and enjoy the sunlight/ fresh air. Our server greeted us within 5 minutes of us sitting down and our drinks arrived shortly after. We really enjoyed the coconut shrimp and wings. The coconut shrimp was our favorite!! I'm not a big rum person but the Missionary's Downfall was so tasty.

Dr. Funk had a super cute Galentine's/Lunar New Year theme when I went with pretty pink string lights and hanging hearts and lanterns. Their happy hour is great and lasts until 7 PM, chicken wings for $12, macho fries for $9, Shipwreck drink for $12. I got the Jaded Lover ($19), special LNY drink, and it had pandan and tasted very good. Would definitely like to return for their next seasonal event.

Grabbed dinner with a buddy and wanted to grab a couple drinks after. Dr Funks is a great place to grab a drink and just chill with some great tiki vibes. Both indoor and outdoor seating were wide open on a Tuesday night and the bartender had even recognized us (not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing ha.) will definitely keep coming back

So funny I've been to the bar next-door a handful of times and always wondered what this restaurant was! Lol my friend told me about this place and I had to come check out the specialty Halloween drinks!! They are so incredibly strong you can only have two per person! If you get there for a happy hour, it's a much better deal!! We are lucky it was a Friday night and we got there in time for happy hour and got a drink for a normal price! Lol inflation sucks! We both enjoyed our drinks along with the atmosphere and the french fries were hot and crispy! I will definitely go back again and get another holiday specialty drink. Apparently they do every celebration with specialty seasonal drinks!! This particular Tiki bar was doing a circus or clown themed Halloween! Also check out the karaoke bar next-door at old Flats, O'Flaherty's.

We had our double date night here last Sunday, and it was fun! I loved how they decorated for Halloween with the clowns decor. I was scared when I first walked into the place because of the clown animatronic, but quickly laughed afterwards. We sat in a booth, which was cute. My boyfriend and I got the Puka Punch, Shipwreck, Lychee Luau, and Nachos Fries. The drinks were strong. My favorite was the Shipwreck and Puka Punch The Nachos Fries were tasty, crunchy and flavorful. I'm glad that I got to finally visit this spot as I had it bookmarked for awhile. The staff is friendly and attentive. The bathroom was clean and shared with the next door establishment. We found parking on the street about two blocks away. I would definitely return again. :)

Definitely a cool spot to visit for the holidays! I first heard about Dr. Funk on a viral TikTok last year around Christmas time. I finally got around to visiting for their Halloween set up this past weekend. When we arrived it was nice to see the front of the Dr.Funk bar is covered in full colorful bright lights. Love it! It definitely stands out in a sea of dark restaurants + bars at night. lol. When we walked in we were greeted by the Killer Clowns! Yikes super creepy! But definitely cool Halloween vibes. lol. Their Halloween theme is the Killer Klowns from Outer space (apparently it's a movie from like the 80s or something but still spooky!) lol. The Halloween decorations are spooky Halloween clown vibes so it features life size scary clowns, giant popcorns, spider webs, circus stripes, and bright lights all over. Pretty cool. We wanted to check out the options on the Killer Klowns Halloween menu. We ordered the Cotton Candy Cocoon from the Halloween menu and the drink that goes on fire (I forget what it's called) as well as the Lychee Luau. The Cotton Candy Cocoon was interesting, but not very sweet at all tbh. lol. The only sweetness in the drink is the cotton candy on top. lol. The fire drink obviously looks the COOLEST but that was also my friend's favorite drink choice as far as taste goes! So I would definitely recommend that one. My favorite drink was the Lychee Luau because I'm a vodka + juice kinda girl so it was PERFECT for me. Yay! We had a lot of fun just trying different drinks and talking. I love how it's easy to talk here with chill vibes and they apparently have karaoke in the other room as well. I only learned this because we could hear the drunk singing party lol. Also I've never been here before but the lady told us that it is open seating and to pick any table we wanted. We grabbed a table in the middle but we would've liked a cute booth with the lights! but they were all filled up unfortunately. *sad face* No worries though we still had a fun time. :) This is definitely a fun holiday theme bar if you're looking for someplace spooky or even for when Christmas comes around to go be merry. :) Around last call they use a large LOUD bell to bang on to scare everyone which alarmed us so yeah that was NOT the vibe! lol. But I totally get it so whatever. lol.

Stumbled upon this spot looking to have some drinks before dinner reservations. A full tiki bar, it was good vibes when as soon as we walked in. There are some serious drinks on the menu. The number of Xs next to each cocktails provides the booze level. I ordered a couple of drinks but stared with the signature rum cocktail, the Funky Grog, it's XXX, deserving of that rating. Also enjoyed the Puka Pinch and Rum Barrell. Semi crowded around 6pm on a Friday that quickly packed out by 8pm. My coworkers and I had a blast. The staff folks are super cool, the decor is fitting and the atmosphere was social.

Stopped in for drinks on a Friday and we were able to grab a seat at the bar. Chaz was so helpful and friendly. I'm a vodka girlie and he was able to make the Zero's Hero with vodka for me. So good! Love the Christmas vibes that they have going on right now.

I am a huge sucker for tiki bars and Dr. Funk did not disappoint. I've been here a few times previously and I just love it every time. The drinks are typical for tiki bar drinks in this area, so be prepared to pay for a little bit more for some delicious, beautiful drinks. The fries and finger foods are delicious too! This time around, we shared the Puka Punch amongst 3 people, which was great. I love the little fire art show. I also love that they decorate up the shop during Halloween and Christmas time. One thing I'll note is that in the years since, it feels like they've gotten really short-staffed. This really is a problem for management and the owners, not the workers themselves. Despite this, the employees are always attentive and kind. Lastly, they do have happy hour! At least since May time, on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4-7 pm, exception for SAP nights. (WEBSITE as of 7/14/25 shows daily HH from open to 7 pm) Service: 4/5 Food/Drinks: 5/5 Price: 4/5 Atmosphere: 5/5

Review of Nightmare Before Christmas bar during Christmas time: My husband had an entire drink spilt on his lap and we weren't offered an apology. My husband and I came for date night, we wanted to grab a themed cocktail before walking around Christmas in the Park. Really unclear seating. The bar was full and when we asked to sit at one of the many open tables we were told to check with the host, which we didn't initially see. We got seated and ordered our drink, the worms wort and deadly night shade. Both drinks were honestly not very good and did not taste as described. When initially being brought our drinks the runner placed them on the table and pushed it towards my husband causing the entire cup to fall in his lap. The runner simply gave an oops and walked over to the bar to grab rags. My husband had to ask her for one to wipe himself up. We asked to move to another open table since there was a big puddle of alcohol on the floor and the table and chair was sticky. She said she didnt know and she would have to ask. She went back to the bar and came back a few minutes later to tell us we could move. Mind you my husband is still wet and standing next to his seat. We moved and he was brought a new drink, I asked the server for napkins because he was still wet and she said "didn't he already get one?" ??? Odd response. Anyway we were offered no apology and never got checked on. Date night was cut short. And my husband's Christmas sweater got stained. Overall really bad experience. The decor was cute but nothing crazy. Drinks are overpriced and service is not good.

    Cloud over Kona

First time at Dr. Funk and it was awesome! The vibes were great, the staff ( Alena and Kevin) amazing, personable and so friendly. Had a new menu drink called "cloud over Kona" holy hell, soooo good. I strongly recommend anyone local or traveling, if you're into great tiki drinks and good service, come here. You won't be disappointed.

This was a creamy Christmas drink I forgot what it's called

The staff is polite and courteous. They left a signed note on the table for my husband's birthday which was a sweet gesture. For the drinks, we started with the jean claude pandan, pandan being the my husband's current favorite ingredient in food and drinks. I had the drink with dill, which the server warned me about being centered around the flavor if pickles (which I am personally fond of). The pandan drink was a light and refreshing highball and I found the dill cocktail to be creamy and delicious, but didn't really leave me with a sour aftertaste. For food, we went with the drip trio platter which came with fresh pita bread pieces, and the drip trio of hummus with roe on top, chilled tzatziki, and muhammara. Then we moved on to the oysters which were fresh, will a dressing of an herb oil of some sort. They also had a complementary palette cleanser in between which was a shot of watermelon and orange juice. For maincourse, my husband went for the tagliatelle and I chose the ravioli, both choices were corroborated by our server to be the right ones to go for. The tagliatelle is expensive because of the lobster and caviar that it comes with. However, the pasta is delicious and comes in a decadent sauce. Not a lot of lobster pieces though. The ravioli had a robust mushroom flavor and came with a light sauce of mushrooms, crispy fried shallots, and pine nuts. We skipped dessert because we were pretty full already. Would definitely recommend this place for a cozy dinner out but it's quite expensive so might not be a place to go to frequently.

There was a good amount of seasoning and the breading texture was super crispy. The meat itself was a bit bland. Truffle fries were super crunchy and had a balanced truffle flavor. Burger was fine. I've definitely had and made better burgers before. It was a pretty standard burger. Cooked good. A bit overpriced for how mild of a burger it was though. Prime rib was a huge portion. I only had a couple bites from my friends but it seemed well-seasoned. Some parts were nice and tender but the red parts were very chewy. Overall, main dishes were OK in portion but lackluster in experience. Side portions are on the smaller end considering their price but generally delicious. Considering their extensive alcohol collection, I think this place is definitely known for its vibe and drinks rather than its food. Staff seem super friendly though! Especially the bartenders

OMG, I am truly impressed with the food here! Most restaurants have at least one so-so dish, but…read morenot Goodtime Bar. Went here on a Saturday night with a girlfriend and we ordered: Steak Fries, Bucatini Pasta, Clams, Tomato & Cheese Dip (AMAZING! ) In fact, every single dish was completely on point. The vibe inside is super fun--there's a tiny bar lit up by a spinning disco ball. However, the ordering process is pretty disconnected and chaotic. You normally have to order food and drinks at the bar, but because the entire interior was so packed with people waiting for tables and pre-dinner drinks, the host kindly offered to help us at our table. The catch? She could only take our food order and not the drinks. It's definitely a bit disorderly, but the incredible food almost makes up for the logistical mess!

The bar was pretty busy with groups at all the tables so we had to sit outside on stools at a fold up table. You walk inside to place an order then you get seated at a table. The staff were really nice and gave great recommendations for our group who were beginner wine drinkers. Super cool vibe inside, they even have a disco ball and cute decor. My expectations were already low as I'm not usually into tapas style (aka small portion but expensive and possibly mediocre food) but boy was I wrong. All of the food that we ordered was genuinely so good. I still think about the BUCATINI (tom yum butter, lime, garlic and basil) and would solely come back for that dish. The portion sizes were on the smaller side but it is tapas, we had a group of 8 hungry people so that was on our part lol Overall, would recommend and come back to try some of their other dishes and wine! super cute for date night
