New bar in town Nicely designed and very large space. It was a Sunday night so the place was pretty empty. But their server and their host are awesome and friendly. The drinks were fun. These drinks aren't that stiff so I was able to enjoy a couple different ones. There is a karaoke room which is fun for a small group. But there is a large stage, which I hope they turn one of the nights into a Karaoke nights

Such a cute seasonal theme bar that is located upstairs! I love how the menu and theme changes seasonally. They had a Lunar New Year theme when I went earlier this month. All the workers were really nice and friendly. Lots of good cocktails to choose from and they were yummy & strong!

I came in here on a whim on 408 SJ Day! I was able to meet the owner, he was unbelievably friendly and accommodating. This place opened up 4 months ago and I couldn't believe how inviting the place is. The ambience is very pleasant and homey. I liked how appreciative he was of us stopping by. He even let us sample our drinks prior to choosing. I got a semi dessert wine which was super yummy. If you're ever in the area I recommend stopping by. I also got the pork belly musubi, which was fire!! Can't wait to come back. :)

Really nice environment, and friendly staff. They had live music when I went. Drinks were solid but honestly I'm excited to try the alleged Christmas menu I've seen online. They had some food options but weren't my thing. Will be going back during the holidays

We came here during the soft opening and loved the vibes! They currently have a Sippin' Santa Pop Up with their fun, tiki bar drink. There was a good mix of music playing, which was great for a Friday night. For drinks, I got the pineapple upside down cask, which reminded me of a Mai Tai drink from Hawaii. For the group, we got the punch bowl drink to share, and it was delicious as well. All the mugs that the drinks came in were super cute, and they are also available for purchase. The silent "nightcap" was also really good, but it does contain espresso. You also get to take home the souvenir cup, which is perfect for the holidays. The servers and bartenders were all very nice and attentive. Our glasses were frequently refilled with water, with the occasional question of whether we needed another drink. The theme of the bar will be rotated with the seasons, so now is a good time to check out the holiday offerings. We'll be back soon!

Opening day 11/28/2025. They are located in the old Agenda Lounge location on the second floor above Petiscos. They are hosting the Sippin' Santa popup menu. Here's what I sampled: 4.7/5: Holiday on Ice: very boozy coffee cocktail. You can get it with vodka or bourbon. Go with Bourbon. 4.6: Sippin' Santa cocktail: Amaro and rum. It's naturally sparkly. 4.6: Jingle Bird. Very good variation on the Jungle Bird. Amped up with allspice and cranberry. 4.0: Sugar Plum Mai Tai. OK rum drink but not enough character or funk.

Ryan and Marvyn, Courage's resident mixologists put their heads together and came up with a drink that perfectly matched my tastes. Based off the bare-minimum description of my preferences they were able to determine exactly what would make me happy. The service here is immaculate.

A new bar in downtown San Jose. A great list of rotating, seasonal cocktails and excellent decor. Definitely will be coming back!

Super bowl weekend was pretty busy but we stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. I had heard that they had a Christmas take over but we didn't get a chance to make it. They had some super bowl specials that were pretty good. I got pinapple one that I enjoyed. Service was great, we would definitely come back for a quick drink. They also have music to late night.

This cocktail bar was the perfect bar to start the night. The vibes were great, customer service was excellent, and the entire place was heavily decorated for the holidays. I came here with a large group of people and hung around a booth. However, some of us were standing, which we were totally okay with. A staff then voluntarily pulled a table and chairs for us so that everyone can sit together. This was a very nice gesture and we truly appreciated it! As for the drinks, I ordered the Frost Bite - which was one of their very few holiday drinks that was not rum. Their holiday drinks are so cute and come with their own unique cup. The Frost Bite was a tequila cocktail with sweet and fruity flavor. I'm glad that the place wasn't crowded at all, but still had enough people + a DJ to keep the night alive!

The newest bar in downtown San Jose! I found this place and yelp and knew I had to check it out for the holidays. It was perfectly decorated with lights. The atmosphere was similar to 55 South (also similar holiday drinks), but with so much more space. Definitely recommending adding this to your holiday bar crawl!

Tucked upstairs and off the beaten path next to the Ritz venue, this brand-new cocktail bar feels like a secret you're lucky enough to be in on. From the moment you step inside, there's a buzz equal parts intimate, electric, and effortlessly cool. Courage Anyone isn't just about the drinks. The space is built for vibes. Live music nights bring the room to life, karaoke turns strangers into instant friends, and the layout is perfect for private events that actually feel special, not cookie-cutter.

Super cute new Asian spot in DTSJ! Loved the ambiance in here and I can totally imagine this place getting real packed in this new year. They only recently opened at the end of 2025 so we're looking forward to coming back to see all the new additions to their menu. Booths are spacious and their stage for live music is set to debut tonight (2/3/2026) per Kenton, who was super gracious and informative. There's also a karaoke room in the corner we'd love to check out in the near future!

The music was really loud and I couldn't hear the conversation of the person with me so the Asian bartender helped us turn down the music a little. It wasn't until mid evening that I realized there was another bar in the back. The bartender told us the cocktails at Alter Ego were more fancy. Definitely instagramworthy! Tried two of the cocktails at Alter Ego. Overall, both have different vibes. Alter Ego is good for a more intimate dark setting date vibe. Service was pretty good at Still OG! The Asian bartender checked in several times and was really nice as well as provided some recommendations on which happy hour specials were most popular which helps since I'm indecisive. The back does seem like a more classy environment and I'd choose this setting over a dive bar any day. The music at still OG that they were playing at the time wasn't my cup of tea, but I'm sure they mix it up from time to time. I would love to hear some oldies!

All cocktails are on tap, which actually ended up being great because I was between a few of them and the bartender was able to give me samples of them. We also ended up getting an order of the Chicken skewers, which were super tender and juicy. We were too late on our visit, but they do have a daily happy hour that includes some of the skewers and fries, as well as some drinks and shots. Service was super friendly and vibes and music were great! Cocktails, weren't the best since they were on tap, but still good enough! I would absolutely come back here for a drink and snack though!

Unfortunately, that was the one disappointment. The meat was pretty tough and not nearly as tender as I would have expected, especially considering the overall quality of the restaurant. The cocktails, however, are amazing! The ambience is beautiful and the service has been wonderful both times I've visited. Overall, I really enjoyed both experiences and would definitely come back. We quickly learned that it's actually closer to $40 since you need to buy a $14-17 mocktail/cocktail. I'll be honest, I don't drink that much so I can't tell you if that's expensive but it does feel like a bit of a bait and switch. We ordered truffle fries, koji wings, the classic burger and two prime rib dinners. All of the food arrived at different times so some of it was already cold before we started eating. I know we could start eating whatever comes out first but let's be honest. Dining with friends is a very social event and it's somewhat standard for dishes to arrive together. I also ordered subbed truffle fries, was charged the sub, but ended up getting regular fries Food-wise, the koji wings were pretty good. There was a good amount of seasoning and the breading texture was super crispy. The meat itself was a bit bland. Truffle fries were super crunchy and had a balanced truffle flavor. Burger was fine. I've definitely had and made better burgers before. It was a pretty standard burger. Cooked good. A bit overpriced for how mild of a burger it was though. Prime rib was a huge portion. I only had a couple bites from my friends but it seemed well-seasoned. Some parts were nice and tender but the red parts were very chewy. Overall, main dishes were OK in portion but lackluster in experience. Side portions are on the smaller end considering their price but generally delicious. Considering their extensive alcohol collection, I think this place is definitely known for its vibe and drinks rather than its food. Staff seem super friendly though! Especially the bartenders
