Stopped in and it's giving off some old timey vibes, which can be fun! The bar was wide open so we picked a seat and were immediately helped. I ordered a Lady Mercy, it was pretty tasty. Tart and not sweet! Check it out!

    Monday Jazz Night 9:30p-12a

I've been to this particular bar a handful of times on a Monday night and every time it's always the same great relaxing crowd at least two bartenders on hand and all the patrons seem very relaxed!! Bartenders are rather quick at making the drinks so there's not a long wait time and everything was very clean. I love how they have the jazz night set up where anybody can actually go and sing or play an instrument. The only odd thing I would say is that the water is on the inside of where the jazz players are improvising and playing their beautiful music. So you have to walk around the little entrance of the flat stage to get to the water. Maybe it's set up like that so the jazz players can get to the water easily, but as a member of the audience, I felt like I was walking into their bubble. Lol. I will definitely be back for another jazz night. If you go on a Saturday, they play more hip-hop music! It's a very different vibe! Lol.

Welcome to Derry, Bill's Gonna Kill Me, The Dancing Clown

I came here for Halloween and it was so cool! I loved the decorations and It theme they had, especially all the little details. It was very crowded but we were able to order in a decent amount of time and find a table to sit at. All of us unfortunately didn't like the Bill's Gonna Kill Me drink (the tan one, it was way too strong), but the other 2 were good! Definitely will be coming back.

I was here for a private event and had a nice experience. LOCATION This bar is conveniently located near San Pedro's square (SPS). You can park in the SPS parking lot which provides 90 minutes of parking for free and only $1 for each additional 15 minutes. It's a short 5 minutes walk from the parking lot to the bar. AMBIANCE I like the spaciousness and warm decorated vibes that this place gives. Noise level is reasonable. Their restrooms are also clean and tidy. SERVICES Our server was attentive and made me one of the best Amaretto Sour drinks. Overall, I enjoy this place. Though I haven't tried any of their food item yet, I heard good things about them from my friends who've been here before. I'll definitely consider Five Points next time.

Never been to Five Points before BUT this year they gave Miniboss some completion with Halloween themed drinks and because they are IT themed, I had to make my first visit! My friend and I came in after 7pm on a Wednesday and were able to find a table no problem. It is a bit small though so I imagine it's get packed on weekends. They have a daily special, Wednesday is whisky Wednesday however I was there for the IT drinks. The decor for IT was cute, I feel like they could have down way more as it's mostly red light up everywhere to give it that red glow and "Missing" posters of the members of the losers club and Pennywise cutouts. The drink had was the "You'll float too" and the menu said it tastes like banana bread. It did not in fact taste like banana bread but it was tasty just the same, super strong though and a bit more banana flavor would have been 100% welcome. The service was great so I would definitely come back again during "normal" time to try their drinks.

Five Points could be a Five Star Joint, but sadly, they fall just short. I've never eaten here, but before a game, I always manage to end up here for one last libation before the walk to the barn. This spot has so much going for it--rad backyard space, very clean bathrooms, good music and movies on, friendly and helpful service. My gripe is a real sticking point though--it just doesn't jive with me that they refer to themselves as "Downtown San Jose's Premier Cocktail Bar" when the specialty cocktails are batch made! I used to haunt this TINY cocktail bar in Corvallis, OR and not only did they make their own house infusions with local fruits, they made every last cocktail to order and would make any substitutions to the best of their abilities. My request wasn't even a hard to fulfill one--just to swap the vodka for gin--but it wasn't doable. And no shade to that bartender, but you can definitely taste the difference when you're a gin-drinker, despite his claim. Will it stop me from coming back? No way. Just might stick to basic drinks to get something more to my taste rather than the seasonal drinks.

Came in on a Saturday late afternoon. Was shocked that it wasn't that busy! The space itself is nice, but I will say it is quite dark in there! However, it did help the bar stand out and the bar is quite nice! The espresso martinis were delicious! The fish n chips were pretty good as well, but $23 for 2 pieces of fish is a bit pricey in my opinion. We had one server/bartender who was great and then had it switched over to another server, and they did not do as well.. we maybe only saw them once and didn't see them much more after that. Also had a tab open, and they were unable to find the tab for a minute.. Overall okay, but definitely was expecting better.

This bar is great on a Wednesday if you like to start tasting a variety of whiskeys. Some pretty good prices on half off Whiskey Wednesday! Come before 7 to take advantage of the happy hour menu. I recommend the chicken wings! Decent sized bar with a good amount of seating. Come early if you want to grab a table and street parking. Around the corner from San Pedro. Great staff. Our waitress was checking in frequently to make sure we were okay. Everybody was pretty chill here and friendly. I'd come back for Whiskey Wednesdays again! They also offer half off some drinks and select wine.

    Cucumber mule and old Rasputin
    Niko N.

Stopped by Five Points near San Pedro Square and it definitely leans into the saloon/Wild West vibe -- dark wood, vintage accents, and that rugged charm that makes you feel like you're stepping into a modern-day cowboy lounge. The crowd? Mostly men. It's very much a masculine energy kind of bar, which makes it great for a group of guy friends or couples looking for something low-key and cool. Wouldn't recommend it for a group of fems, though -- the vibe isn't exactly balanced or inclusive. They were playing a lot of Spanish music, which added a fun and unexpected twist to the Western theme -- honestly made the space feel a little more alive. We had an Old Rasputin (super creamy, rich, and intense) and a cucumber mule, which was refreshing with just the right touch of sweetness -- a perfect warm night cocktail. The beer was $10 and the cocktail was $16, which felt fair for the area. We walked over, but if you're driving, there's a parking garage just down the street, so it's pretty accessible. Overall: a chill, masculine-leaning spot with solid drinks and a unique theme. Worth checking out if you're nearby and want something a little different.

I went to San Jose for the weekend my cousin and I wanted a good drink . I like a good craft cocktail and this is definitely the place for that . They have an amazing craft cocktail menu to choose from. We came on a Friday night so they had a dj playing so it felt more of a dive bar / 1920 bar . The ambience was on point. They have a big outside patio out back but since it was cold everyone was inside that day. All the mixologist were super friendly and attentive. I got a gin drink with egg white so delicious called Green Ray I also ordered the Bees Knees which was not on the menu but she knew exactly what drink I was talking about. My cousin ordered a Paloma all the drinks were 10/10 . They have a cool theme in the bathrooms also a little dark history lol it was entertaining reading about it . Overall this was a fun Friday night for us .

The food took a while also. Not once did she come back to check on us to see if we wanted another drink while we were waiting. Keep Calm and Crab On is their version of Crab Benedict. Everything about this Benedict is special and unique. Instead of the traditional lemony hollandaise sauce, it had a brown butter hollandaise. The brown butter's nutty and slight sweetness complemented the crab flavor that you can still taste the crab instead of getting overpowered by the sauce. They use loose real crab meat; not the crab patty type so no fillers. Really good amount of minced crab meat that it's nicely proportioned with the biscuit. Instead of English muffin, they use a big scallion biscuit. The biscuit was toasty on the bottom and the rest was moist with little pockets of honey. The poached egg's yolk was a bit more cooked than the traditional jelly or runny yolk but it did not make this dish any less yummy. Crispy hashbrown on disk shaped. Every part was great. 5/5 stars. The best Crab Benedict I've had and I've had quite a few. The waffle in the Chicken and Waffle was very crispy but at the same time almost flaky. It was not the dense fluffy type but it was easy to eat. It's like a cross between a croissant and waffle. The syrup was lighter than the thick pancake syrup. The waffle is 5/5 stars. The Chicken part of this dish is basically like a Taiwanese popcorn chicken that you can get from a boba place. Bite sized dark meat chicken battered and fried. Served with Sriracha mayo type sauce and syrup. 3/4 stars. The Stuffed French Toast tasted like lemon meringue pie. Sweet lemony filling. The French Toast itself was fluffy but at the same time nicely soaked in custard. Slight cinnamon flavor. It came with a thick slice of bacon which is more like a slice of grilled pork belly that was buttery and umami. 4/5 stars. The Pipikaula Ribs plate had 3 slices of bone in short ribs, kimchee fried rice and two over medium eggs. The short ribs were grilled and looked like the sweet Korean BBQ short ribs but it's more savory with peppery flavor rather than sweet. Tender meat. The genorously portioned Kimchee rice was mostly spicy. 3.5/5 stars because the Kimchee was too spicy to fully enjoy the dish. The Flatbread appetizer had a good amount of mozzarella cheese melted on top soft fluffy flatbread with salty prosciutto slice in between. Topped with perfectly poached egg. Wish they offer fountain soda vs bottled ones. Each dish was eye so pleasing that couldn't wait to dig into it as soon as they landed on the table. Staff, Anna Lisa, was very pleasant and just made us felt comfortable; which was important because it's our first time dining here. Nice comfortable dining room with high ceiling and big windows. Great food with quality ingredients and thoughtfully put together menu, welcoming staff, relaxed ambiance. Will definitely return.

He is an espresso drinker and love the flavor profile -Like A Virgin, this is on the sweeter side but the prosecco side car really balances it out -So Fresh, So Clean: normally comes with tequila but I swapped for vodka and it was very refreshing -Davis In My Bones, partner loved this This place turns into a club at 9:30, so there are plenty of options depending on your mood! Come check it out!

This is definitely not a happy hour or "let's grab a drink" place. It opens at 6pm, and on a…read moreThursday at 6pm on the dot, I was offered only a bar seat without having a reservation. No big deal, as I wanted the bar anyway, but something others should keep in mind. The cocktail list is plentiful and intriguing. I tend to avoid tequila, so that eliminated a good chunk of the options. I went with Rose Colored Lenses, which was fantastic, and decently sized. Presentation was beautiful. My friend had All a Dream, also very good. The wine offerings are minimal, this is very much a cocktail or champagne type of place, with caviar being the primary food service. Speaking of service, the bartender was excellent, both in his mixology and demeanor. It took awhile to get the drinks, but I assume that was due to the complexity of the cocktails, paired with having just opened the doors a few min earlier. Two notes: 1. The barstools were a little too low, imo. I don't normally pay much attention to that detail, but these were uncomfortably low for me, even with my long torso, I was hyper aware of my posture. So maybe that's actually a good thing 2. Other patrons were rolling in shortly behind me, so there is probably an early crowd when they first open, then a late night group that appreciates the 2am closing time. Interior is beautiful, and you can use the steps up to the 2nd floor either from N Santa Cruz or the rear parking lot off W Main. More substantial food options are a mere few steps across the hall at Heritage.
