Be careful coming here!!!!!!!!!!! This place added a 20% tip to my bill without telling me. That's not okay, a tip is supposed to be optional, not something they sneak in. It honestly feels dishonest. Check your receipt and your bank account because they clearly hope people won't notice. I won't be coming back.

This dive bar is down the street from work & we enjoyed the low key vibe on a Thursday afternoon. The bartender was great, service was amazing and I loved the divey feel. Definitely worth making a regular stop for drinks after a hard work day.

I walked in and stood waiting to be seated while an employee, who appeared to be the owner or manager, continued talking with her kids instead of acknowledging customers. I don't mind waiting, but a simple "We'll be right with you" would have made all the difference. I decided to give them another chance. On a later visit, I spent a few hours working there and ordered drinks. When a friend joined me, he sat down and was completely ignored. No one came over to greet him or ask if he'd like anything. We eventually had to flag someone down just so he could place an order. After that, our server mentioned that Tuesdays were buy one, get one free on wine. I ordered my second glass, but it never arrived. When I asked another server about it, I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing them. The irony is that I would have happily paid full price--I wasn't the one asking for a deal. They were the ones who brought up the promotion, then acted bothered when I politely asked about the wine that was never delivered. The final straw was our most recent visit. We were seated at a table by the staff, only to be told a few minutes later that we had to move because the tables were supposedly reserved for the party sitting behind us. We moved without making an issue of it, but no one ever ended up using those tables for the entire time we were there. It was frustrating to be relocated after being seated, especially when the explanation didn't match what actually happened. At this point, it's hard to view these experiences as isolated incidents. The common theme has been inattentive service and an attitude that makes customers feel like they're an inconvenience rather than guests. There are too many great wine bars that genuinely appreciate their customers for me to spend any more time or money here.

We brought our own cake and happily paid the $25 cake service fee, fully expecting that the staff would take care of presenting and serving it. When we arrived, we handed the cake over to the kitchen staff. However, when it was time for the cake cutting, it was simply brought back to our table still in its original box. We then had to remove it from the box ourselves, arrange and light the candles while our friend awkwardly waited, and afterward chase down staff to ask for plates and utensils so we could cut and serve the cake ourselves. We didn't mind paying the cake fee--we understood there would be a charge. What we didn't understand was what the fee actually covered. We weren't expecting an elaborate presentation, but we did expect the cake to be brought out ready for the celebration and with the basic serving items provided. For what should have been a special milestone moment, the experience felt awkward and underwhelming. It was disappointing, especially since our friend chose this venue to celebrate such an important occasion.

The cauliflower had a nice crunch, and the batter was well-seasoned and flavorful. Grilled Octopus was excellent as always, my favorite dishes here. Lamb Osso Bucco was served with orzo rice, peas, morels. Lamb was tender and well-seasoned. Tamarind Glazed Salmon served with kale and red quinoa. The salmon itself was good, but I don't think the quinoa was a good match with the dish. The flatbread was the most disliked item we had. It was a bit bland and too doughy. We enjoyed the Peyrassol Rosé (France 2025), which was not only nice to see but also nice to drink. Love the smooth texture and taste. Vanilla Crème Brûlée was enjoyable, the shortbread cookie was somewhat bland. Chocolate Date Cake was rich and quite sweet. Even we shared it among 3-4 people, we still couldn't finish it. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience.

Food was overall good but the server oversold everything. The taste and balance was decent but pricing was 100% unjustified. Review of our table's order - excluding the obvious lack of value and weird plating choices: - mezze dips: skip. rip off. - cauliflower: maybe the best dish of the meal - octopus: sauce was unnecessary and portion size was terrible - caesar salad: not good - lamb shank: tender but the sides were trash - branzino: parts tasted not fully cooked. - lamb chops: DRY. Hammered the protein and drenched in oil...? Do not get. - chicken: large portion and maybe the best bang for buck when feeding large parties. it was ok. No wonder they closed shortly after. I get the high rent given Santana Row pricing but do a little better when hiring service staff.

As a table we ended up just sharing appetizers since we're mainly there to enjoy the FIFA game and drinks. We ordered: Onion rings - 4/5. It was crispy which is a huge plus. The batter was fluffy and not thick or overly greasy. They paired it with a chipotle flavored (at least to me) dip and ranch. Sliders - 3/5. This came with fries and some pickles. The sliders were decent size how ever I felt like the meet was a little dry. Guac and chips - 4/5. It tasted super fresh. I wish the portion wasn't so small. I felt like it was good for just a few chips but the guac was good. Well seasoned. Poke nachos - 3/5. This was pretty mid. The seasoning was kind of bland. The name of the dish is called poke nachos but I don't feel like the poke stood out at all. A truffle fries - 5/5. I personally feel like at restaurants like this or in general, truffle fries are super basic to make so you really cannot mess up. The fries were very crispy and also the flavors were all there. Buffalo chicken wings - 2/5. This was probably my least favorite dish. The flavor tasted more sour than Buffalo and the texture was a bit soggy on the outside. Their drinks were good as well including the mocktails.

(However, people watching is so much fun when sitting outside!) Cosme was our fabulous server who shared the daily specials with us. I asked him which I should choose, the Ahi Tuna BLT, $26, or the Nicoise Salad, $31. He recommended the BLT! Two friends decided to share the Wester Ross Scottish Salmon, $36, and our other friend ordered her favorite Nicoise salad, $31. My Ahi Tuna BLT was a sight to behold! This sourdough sandwich was crunchy on the outside and multi-layered with sliced ahi tuna, bacon, avocado, tomato, butter lettuce and a horseradish aioli, on the inside, and served with a side of thin and crispy French fries! The portion size was so big that I could only eat half the sandwich! I really like bang-for-my-buck, and I definitely got it with this entree! The fries were perfection, salty and crispy! My friend who always ordered the Nicoise salad when she dines here, totally cleaned her plate. This salad was another showstopper. It was almost too pretty to eat! The two friends who shared the salmon entree were not as impressed. They both thought the salmon was a tad dry when Cosme explained it should be served medium. One friend thought the cauliflower puree base helped to compensate a little for the dryness of the salmon, but the other friend chose to share her displeasure with Cosme, who apologized, then relayed the message to the chef. Shortly after, Cosme offered to have another salmon cooked, which my friends agreed to. Then Left Bank's general manager, Jessica, came over to ask how we were enjoying our meal. Jessica kindly heard their comments regarding the salmon (and the price for a small serving...no bang-for-your-buck with the salmon...) and offered to have another salmon served up for them. (We told her that Cosme had already arranged for that.) She assured she would inspect the next serving before it was presented. It came out looking even more beautiful and enticing then the first plating, and happily the cook and texture was perfect the second time around! I was surprised with a birthday plate of ice cream decorated with raspberries, a chocolate leaf, and yummy crushed wafers, compliments of Jessica. Thank you, Jessica, Cosme, and your staff for your epic customer service. We will definitely return again soon! I also used my InKind app to pay for my meal. I was able to redeem my InKind reward to pay a portion of my lunch!
