We visited during Super Bowl weekend after walking by it a few times before, so we were excited to finally check it out. This spot is really cute. From the outside, it looks like a small church, and inside it feels like a greenhouse. Unfortunately, the service was pretty disappointing. We were seated right away, but no one came by to take our order. After waiting for a while, my husband ended up going to the bar to order directly from the staff at the front. The wine itself was also just okay and was served fairly warm. Not sure if that was intentional, but it wasn't what we expected. Overall, it's cute, but between the lack of service and the underwhelming experience, it's probably not somewhere I'd go back to
I visited this past Sunday and though it was a cute outdoor space, unfortunately didn't have the best experience. We were seated almost immediately and ordered drinks, which were good. We wanted to order the cheesy pizza, but the waitress mistakenly brought out a charcuterie board instead. When we pointed it out, there wasn't really an offer to send it back or comp it, so we just decided to take it to go and ordered the pizza afterward. Since we were taking the charcuterie with us, we asked for a bag to carry everything. The waitress came back with gallon-sized Ziploc bags, which honestly felt a little weird and kind of summed up the experience. I'm from San Francisco and went out of my way to try this spot, so it was pretty disappointing overall.
Good selection of wine in a comfortable location. The food selections were reasonable and went well with the wines. We enjoyed the flights we tried. Service was a bit slow, but certainly friendly.
Came here and ordered one of their Pinot flights. The portions were fair, and each wine had a unique profile, ranging from lighter to bolder flavors. We were seated right away upon arrival, which was much appreciated. Even though the seating is outside, the heaters made it warm and cozy. I've been here multiple times before but kept forgetting to leave a review. The charcuterie plate is also very good and pairs well with whichever wine you choose. Overall, I've always had a great experience coming here.
Cute spot in the middle of Santana Row! Mainly outdoor seating but a cute vibe to sit with friends and talk! We shared a bottle of their riesling which we thought was a good deal for 3 people. It was very sweet and was an easy wine to drink. I would come again to get this wine and for the vibes!
Location, location, location. Vintage Wine Bar is smack-dab in the middle of the Row. It's beautifully lit up at night and even more whimsical during Christmas time. Depending on their menu selection, I usually go for either their sparkling flight or a bottle of bubbly. Their menu does alternate, as one time they had lambrusco! Knocking down a star due to slower service. Even when the place is empty, it still seems to take them a bit for turn around time, but it's not the worst thing in the world since the vibes are always vibing there.
This is one of my favorite spots in Santana Row. Ambiance is great, fabulous wine selection, and the snack selection has variety. The service, however, is very slow. I often find myself waiting much longer than I should for food+wine and even longer for the check. The bussers are kind but a bit inexperienced and unprofessional. I will be back but hoping for faster service.

Literally came before 8pm and we were sat down and took the server more than 10 minutes to get to us when the place wasn't even busy ... we had to wave her down to even get her attention and then she tells us when we are ordering that kitchen is close. CRAZY.. just unacceptable when they don't close until 9pm and it wasn't even 8pm yet And our last visit wasn't great either. Keep in mind this place isn't cheap either. But the food and wine are good but the service sucks ! I feel like it just gets even worse every single time. They really need to work on the service. And if they're closing at 9 PM, their kitchen should be open to 830 at least. And my recent visits have been in the last month I don't think I will be back for a while, even though I love this place ... We came on a Friday evening 5/30/25 and a Sunday evening 6/8/25

I stopped by this place while shopping with friends and it's a nice little spot in the middle of Santana Row. I got their Funday Cabby Funday flight and their burrata primavera. It was a bit pricey for everything but considering that it's in Santana Row it's not unexpected. The wine was okay but I wish our server could have pointed out which wine was what when she brought the flight out. Overall the service wasn't bad but it can get a bit slow when it gets busy so just a heads up.
This is a great place to come in for outside sitting and to try out new wines. Whether it is family or friends company, it will be great. They have great options for flights as well as bottles
Vintage wine bar is one of my favorite places in the South Bay! To be honest Desiree is the driving force behind this. Waiting for a dinner reservation, a casual girls night out, or if you just need a glass of wine and a good book this is the place. Come for the charcuterie and Riesling and all of your problems will vanish! Service is excellent and if you get a chance to meet Desiree or Taryn your night will be made! I can't recommend vintage wine bar enough!

My all time favorite place....we were there on 07/03/26 - to watch the FIFA and enjoyed their Red sangrias, perfectly made their burrata was not to the mark, the pesto didn't go well, prefer their burratas earlier and even the cheese board was a little off, especially the bread but overall the place has a good vibe and our server was super sweet too !! read more

Very convenient spot and vibes BUT the service is truly disappointing!! Sometimes all you need is is a good glass of wine and a refreshing space unfortunately they only have wine. Many other places around with better experiences for sure read more

I love this place to hang out and chat with friends and/or family. They have great wine selections. You can order by the bottles or by the glass. They have wine and whiskey flights too, if you would like to taste different ones. I like the French wine flight. Their selections changes from time to time, so we like to come by when we can to taste different wines. Service is mostly great... just sometimes they could be forgetful when they get busy, so we just needed to remind them what we needed. read more

Nice drinks, service and ambience as always. We shared a Rueben sandwich and devoured it before I could take a photo. We eat got a white and red flight and the wine + people watching are two of my favorite things to do. Sitting inside the bar was nice as well but we wanted some sunshine and it was perfect! read more

Cozy spot, but be mindful of the noise! It's a small and cozy place with both indoor and outdoor seating. Since it was raining, my friend and I chose to sit indoors. Initially, it was perfect -- quiet and relaxing. A couple of tables were occupied by two people, and everything seemed peaceful. Then four guys walked in, and it completely changed the atmosphere. It got incredibly loud to the point where I couldn't even hear myself talk. I had to raise my voice so my friend could hear me, which definitely ruined the cozy vibe we were hoping for. Tip: If you choose to sit inside, make sure the space isn't filled with loud groups. Other than that, the food was good, the wine was delicious, and the servers were very friendly and polite. Worth a visit, just be mindful of the noise level! read more

We loved everything about this sweet little find! It's right in the middle of Santana Row, so people are walking around shopping while you leisurely enjoy your meal. We got two wine flights and a light meal of baked brie and a sandwich. Our server was excellent at making some great recommendations for us. This is a place we would come visit regularly! read more

My boyfriend and I visited the Vintage Wine Bar on Sunday, 11/26/23, in the late afternoon. We decided to get the Sauvignon Wine Flight: -2020 Grgich Hills Sauvignon Blanc Fumé Blanc Napa Valley -2020 Château Lilian Ladouys St-Estèphe, France -2021 Post and Beam Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley The wines tasted amazing. We also ordered our own cup of Tomato Bisque soup with bread. The soup itself was so warm and flavorful. The bread was tasty as well. I loved the friendly and quick service from the staff. The outdoor ambiance was very lovely and beautiful. I recommend coming here. It's a great spot, especially for a nice date. read more
Vintage wine bar has been one of my go-to places at Santana Row for charcuterie and wine. The majority of their seating it outdoors, so if you love al fresco dining you'll love this place. The patio is also pup-friendly! When the weather is bad, you can visit their shop Vintage Wine Merchants across from the theater that provide a more casual indoor tasting experience. Service is hit or miss, but that's what I've come to expect from all the restaurants at Santana row. I always order the cheese and charcuterie plate, but they also have a small food menu if you're looking for something substantial. Personally, I always get one of their wine flights. Their pours are very generous, and I find it a better value compared to the individual glass pours. read more

In the heart of Santana Row, this unique building encompasses everything you would need a wine bar to have, plus more! This place not only carries wine, they carry whiskey and more! And from all areas of the world. You can sit and order 1oz tasters of each which I loved. They have a little outdoor area with heaters in the back whixh helps with the cold front that recently came in. Highly recommended for wine sipping and soaking in this vintage styled ambience! read more

My friends and I visited Vintage Wine Bar on a Friday evening and were seated right away with no reservation. We sat outside, and while the tables weren't the most comfortable, it was a great place for people watching on Santana Row. It's also pretty cute at night with all the string lights. I also have to mention that our server was very sweet to my dog and brought out a water bowl upon request. All three of us decided to try the wine flights - I got the Cabernet & Friends Flight and my friends chose the Wide World of Reds Flight and what I believe was called the Juicy Flight? I don't see it on their menu now, but I'm 80% sure that was the name. We genuinely enjoyed all the wines and the pours were quite reasonable. We also decided to get some snacks - my friend's Tomato-Pesto Grilled Cheese was good but ultimately nothing special (it's just a grilled cheese, after all). However, my other friend really enjoyed the Burrata Primavera and my Nuts for Brie was easily the star of the show. They import their Brie from France, and it tastes incredible - very generous portion size too, so I recommend sharing this one! Overall, I would happily return to Vintage Wine Bar. read more
I've been coming here for years, and I love that they have a nice selection of whiskey now! Wine: meh. Over half their wines are NOT good. Despite wine being their bread and butter, their selection is average or miss. Ask to get a small taste before ordering, and ask to mix and match if you get a flight. Because 1-2 of every 3 wines are not great. Food: the only thing that's worth getting (maybe) is the truffle chips. But after inflation the chips have half the truffle flavor LOL. Service is not bad though and it's a fun place to hang out with plenty of patio seating and heat lamps. read more
Love the atmosphere and large selection of wine flights! The space is intimate and sophisticated yet relaxed and earthy. If someone dropped you there without context you would have no idea you were in the middle of San Jose, not to mention one of the busiest centers in the city. I've only ordered wine here, but was surprised and happy to see that they also offer a couple cocktails and multiple different types of whiskies. Most wine bars I've been to are strictly wine and beer so it's nice to see one that offers something a little different. I love this place most for the ambiance. Vintage wine bar is an island booth structure smack down in the middle of Santana Row. It's always surrounded by lively crowds and great vibes. It's a great place to try wine, catch up with friends, or go on a date. I've almost always been able to get a seat here without a wait. I opt for the flights for variety and haven't been disappointed. There's also whisky and scotch flights and drinks. Portions are decent, especially for a flight per person. The outdoor seating is perfect and best to be enjoyed under the nighttime string lights. Lighting could be better in some parts of the seating area as it can be pretty dark. I'd recommend catching a meal at a nice restaurant and coming here to end the night! read more
