[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place always treats me right and they're dog friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great beer selection, amazingly friendly staff and the outdoor patio is built for all weather.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]As an English person missing a pub, this fills a lot of that void which is an amazing compliment for a US establishment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]this place is fine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] drinks leave much to be desired. [[HIGHLIGHT]]could see it being a good place to watch a game, but not our top choice even for that.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Stopped by here to watch the women's usa game before catching a flight. This is an Arsenal and an Outlaws bar. 3 stars on the food. The fries were ok and the pizza was tasty but not phenomenal. The game atmosphere though? 5/5 stars! Street parking nearby was easy and service was good. Come here to sit outside and watch the game with some buddies but maybe get food beforehand.

Jack's is somewhat divey on the inside, but their back patio is excellent - lots of seating, plenty of TVs, and propane heaters for when it's cold out. They also have a separate patio bar, but unfortunately that was closed the last time I visited (I think they're a bit understaffed). Dogs are allowed on the patio, but only until 9PM which is oddly specific. I visited for the second time with my friends on Thursday, and there were plenty of open tables. Everyone else was there to watch the football game, but it didn't get too loud at all. The downside with Jack's is that there's basically no information on their website - just an outdated beer list. I had no idea that they also serve food and have craft cocktails, but they do! I ended up just going with a dry cider, but will probably branch out next time. Prices are very reasonable too!

Jack's is a great bar. It has a very welcoming atmosphere and a great place to meet up with friends. Parking: There is no parking lot. You have to find street parking, but it is free. Drinks: Pricing-wise, their drinks are pretty cheap. A well-drink can cost between $5-$6. My go-to is a pomelo and it's around $11. They have a full bar service, so they can make any drink. Food: I have yet to try their new menu but they do offer food from jtownpizza. Service: The bartenders are always so helpful and sweet. If you do not know what you want, they make great recommendations. Atmosphere: Their outdoor area is really nice. They have space heaters for old evenings and really nice outdoor lighting. The crowd is usually between the ages of late 20s-60s. Everyone that goes to this bar is super friendly. I would highly recommend this bar to anyone that is looking for more of a chill night. It is also one of the last standing dive bars in the area.

The music was really loud and I couldn't hear the conversation of the person with me so the Asian bartender helped us turn down the music a little. It wasn't until mid evening that I realized there was another bar in the back. The bartender told us the cocktails at Alter Ego were more fancy. Definitely instagramworthy! Tried two of the cocktails at Alter Ego. Overall, both have different vibes. Alter Ego is good for a more intimate dark setting date vibe. Service was pretty good at Still OG! The Asian bartender checked in several times and was really nice as well as provided some recommendations on which happy hour specials were most popular which helps since I'm indecisive. The back does seem like a more classy environment and I'd choose this setting over a dive bar any day. The music at still OG that they were playing at the time wasn't my cup of tea, but I'm sure they mix it up from time to time. I would love to hear some oldies!

We also ended up getting an order of the Chicken skewers, which were super tender and juicy. We were too late on our visit, but they do have a daily happy hour that includes some of the skewers and fries, as well as some drinks and shots. Service was super friendly and vibes and music were great! Cocktails, weren't the best since they were on tap, but still good enough! I would absolutely come back here for a drink and snack though!

Unfortunately, that was the one disappointment. The meat was pretty tough and not nearly as tender as I would have expected, especially considering the overall quality of the restaurant. The cocktails, however, are amazing! The ambience is beautiful and the service has been wonderful both times I've visited. Overall, I really enjoyed both experiences and would definitely come back. We quickly learned that it's actually closer to $40 since you need to buy a $14-17 mocktail/cocktail. I'll be honest, I don't drink that much so I can't tell you if that's expensive but it does feel like a bit of a bait and switch. We ordered truffle fries, koji wings, the classic burger and two prime rib dinners. All of the food arrived at different times so some of it was already cold before we started eating. I know we could start eating whatever comes out first but let's be honest. Dining with friends is a very social event and it's somewhat standard for dishes to arrive together. I also ordered subbed truffle fries, was charged the sub, but ended up getting regular fries Food-wise, the koji wings were pretty good. There was a good amount of seasoning and the breading texture was super crispy. The meat itself was a bit bland. Truffle fries were super crunchy and had a balanced truffle flavor. Burger was fine. I've definitely had and made better burgers before. It was a pretty standard burger. Cooked good. A bit overpriced for how mild of a burger it was though. Prime rib was a huge portion. I only had a couple bites from my friends but it seemed well-seasoned. Some parts were nice and tender but the red parts were very chewy. Overall, main dishes were OK in portion but lackluster in experience. Side portions are on the smaller end considering their price but generally delicious. Considering their extensive alcohol collection, I think this place is definitely known for its vibe and drinks rather than its food. Staff seem super friendly though! Especially the bartenders
