I haven't been to this Yardhouse in years and I must say, the vibes the same, the foods still decent, great beers, and the service is great and very accommodating. As a table we ended up just sharing appetizers since we're mainly there to enjoy the FIFA game and drinks. We ordered: Onion rings - 4/5. It was crispy which is a huge plus. The batter was fluffy and not thick or overly greasy. They paired it with a chipotle flavored (at least to me) dip and ranch. Sliders - 3/5. This came with fries and some pickles. The sliders were decent size how ever I felt like the meet was a little dry. Guac and chips - 4/5. It tasted super fresh. I wish the portion wasn't so small. I felt like it was good for just a few chips but the guac was good. Well seasoned. Poke nachos - 3/5. This was pretty mid. The seasoning was kind of bland. The name of the dish is called poke nachos but I don't feel like the poke stood out at all. A truffle fries - 5/5. I personally feel like at restaurants like this or in general, truffle fries are super basic to make so you really cannot mess up. The fries were very crispy and also the flavors were all there. Buffalo chicken wings - 2/5. This was probably my least favorite dish. The flavor tasted more sour than Buffalo and the texture was a bit soggy on the outside. We came here to watch the England vs Mexico game with a group of 9 people. The restaurant was packed and we loved the energy in the restaurant. Service was excellent despite it being such a busy evening. My favorite was the lemon pepper fried wings, the Margherita pizza, and the poke nachos. The fish and chips was also delicious because of the breading on the fish and the fish itself was perfect cooked. Yard house happy hour has to be one of my favorite places for happy hour. They have a good variety for cheap. Not only is the food good but it's a great place for any sporting event as they have TVs from every angle that there isn't one bad seat in the restaurant. For the happy hour I got the poke nachos and the mushroom pizza. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the pizza. The crust was super light and each bite was packed with flavor. The poke nachos were also a huge hit but I did notices some inconsistencies as some peoples poke nachos seemed to be alot more loaded than ours. The margarita pizza didn't look like the one on their menu - way too cheesy for my liking and lacking tomatoes. The crust was also so puffy in places that it just crusted away so half the pizza was inedible. The beef bowl was surprisingly super tasty - just too salty and lacked rice. We ordered lobster garlic noodles, which is my absolute favorite meal. There's a perfect amount of garlic so that the noodles don't feel creamy and oily. Such a fun happy hour experience! Half off apps were totally worth it. If there's one thing you HAVE to get it's the chicken nachos. This was MASSIVE and so delicious. Instead of alfredo, suggested the Twisted Alfredo and that was by far the best dish we ordered. Always need to get the poke nachos and tried the spicy beef noodles and crab stack roll. Poke nachos and crab stack combined was awesome per Tristan's suggestion too. I would say the table that was provided to us was slightly small. We were kinda squished together, would had been nice if they added another table. Our initial server attempted to take our order twice and with us being indecisive, we ended up being passed onto a different server. Sorry for needing more time than the norm in deciding but honestly, us getting passed on was the best thing that could have happened. In comes Ms. Sandra P!! When I tell you this woman is kind, attentive, and such a positive vibe- I ABSOLUTELY MEAN IT!! Our family was given a Gift Card for Christmas to the Yard House on Santana Row in San Jose, so we decided to pay a visit while our kids were still on holiday break. Our family decided to wait (plus it started raining harder outside). My family attacked that tower of onion rings and I was lucky to get an onion ring! Our family order consisted of the Crispy Korean Chicken, Birria Tacos, and Four Cheese Pizza. As for me, I'm a Jambalaya guy so if it's on the menu, chances are I will order it. I ordered the Spicy Jambalaya which had blackened shrimp, andouille sausage, crawfish, chicken, roasted poblano peppers, all in cajun cream sauce. There was a choice of linguini, brown rice or jasmine rice. I had it with the rice. It was delicious and spicy. I'd order it again! Overall the ambience was the usual for the type of establishment. Loud with music and TV screens showing sports games (we were seated in a booth by the bar). I shared with our waiter that it was my daughter's 15th birthday and he said, "don't worry, I'll take care of it." He brought her a brownie topped with vanilla ice cream with "Happy Birthday" stenciled in cocoa powder on the plate!
