Had the Moroccan Chicken and Salmon. Moroccan chicken came with basmati rice and toast. The sauce had cumin flavor, like peppery cilantro mix. The salmon was good and well seasoned. Not fishy at all. Also came with basmati rice, and broccoli florets. The broccoli had slight sweetness to it. Flourless cake for dessert which was quite chocolatey. It's like eating a more crumbly brownie. Food came out quickly. They have soda fountain with sodas that use cane sugar and supposedly natural flavorings.

Cute place, easy to order. Met a colleague for lunch, easy there's a parking garage across the street. Plenty of options to choose from and so easy to order from the table. Prices are as expected. I ordered the salad but the lettuce should have been checked, some pieces have seen better days. And that's the reason they get only 3 stars. Check your ingredients for $22 of a salad I don't want to get half dead pieces of lettuce I will say the seared tuna salad as good and a nice portion too

TLDR - 5/5 for the ribs only, 3/5 for the steak. Shockingly good ribs... had to commend them. My girlfriend asked me to take her to urban plates and I was rolling my eyes because I've had it in college in San Diego where it is basically upscale quick service food, not quite sit down not quite fast food. But let me tell you how shocked I was when I tried their bbq ribs. I literally had my jaw drop when I tried pulling apart the first rib and the entire bone almost came clean off. The meat was juicy, tender, and had the right amount of fat and seasoning. hot take but I swear these ribs were better than some places I've been that specialized in bbq.. I enjoyed my ribs so much I went into flow state and ignored my girlfriend who offered me some of her food. I eventually tried some of her chimichurri steak and yeah... it was mid just like I remember in college. Not bad, serviceable.

I really enjoyed this place and it was on a whim that we stopped by to check it out. We spent the day in Santana Row shopping and my kids wanted something to eat. My daughters chose this place after visiting the other restaurants nearby and peeping menus. This one appealed to them so we went inside. We waited in line to order and then took our number to find a booth to sit at. Service was quick and our food arrived shortly after. The salad was so good with a mixture golden and red beets. My son finished his whole bowl of the chicken tortilla soup. Both my daughters devoured their bacon cheeseburgers with fries. My husband sipped on the cantaloupe mango drink and said it was refreshing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside it was comfy with booths and tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean atmosphere and nice servers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will come back again!

Service was fast - we ordered, found a table, and the food came within 10 minutes. The sides were flavorful and well-made but the proteins were a bit disappointing. The steak I ordered took a while to chew through and the chili glazed tofu (vegetarian) my mom ordered was just a firm block that might not have been marinated for long enough. I'd probably just get a sides plate next time or try the beef braise soup.

    Grassfed steak with sides.

4.5 rounded to 5 [[HIGHLIGHT]]For a casual place located on Santana Row, Urban Plates actually exceeded my expectations, which were influenced by my previous experiences of Santana Row.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can order at the front counter near the entrance or use the QR code on the table (or the website) to do so. I chose to order from the table since I was waiting for the rest of the party. The website is straightforward and easy to use, and note there is a subscription available for frequent diners to purchase that enables them to order menu items with a noticeable discount. We tried the grassfed steak (with fries and caesar salad (extra $1 for that option) and the pork ribs (half rack). The steak was ok but I felt it needed some additional seasoning (chimichurri is $1 extra, and can be ordered either as an add-on or through the separate menu option of chimichurri grassfed steak). Keep in mind that grassfed beef will usually taste different from beef raised or finished on grains. I don't think I would order the steak again. The pork ribs though earned a high rating for the restaurant. Note that this is listed as a seasonal item but I hope they make it a permanent part of the menu, as I would return for it. The meat is very tender, you can say it falls off the bone. The sauce is all right and rather sweet; I actually think the ribs didn't need as much sauce on them, and the sauce on the side was more than enough. The two sides a friend ordered for his pork ribs plate were brussel sprouts w/balsamic dressing and carrots and beets, and he liked both. The pork ribs can be ordered by themselves as a protein side; if you order the pork ribs plate with an extra side of ribs, that's about a full rack and comparable to a full rack plate that you would get at the bbq places around here, and the ribs at Urban Plates are comparable in taste, if not better. A friend's ice tea order was a bit late but eventually brought to the table, but only after we had already asked the young lady who brought our food the table about it and she had brought one to the table for us. Great customer service and attentiveness from her. (The staff taking orders at the front counter take care of drink orders.) [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are three bathrooms; the one I used was ok though the toilet could have been cleaned. I don't know how often the bathrooms are serviced. The faucet can be tricky as the sensor is located on the wall and you may need to wave your hand in front of it at a closer distance than you would think necessary.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is a good, (more) economical dining option at Santana Row. (Though fountain beverages will be at Santana Row prices.) It is a nice casual place for eating and hanging out with friends if it's not too busy, but keep in mind that parking at Santana Row is free for only the first two hours.

Grilled Steak Salad as it came from the restaurant.

Had a grilled steak salad delivered for lunch. In the picture of the salad on the DoorDash menu, the steak looks nicely cooked medium rare. When I received my salad, most of the pieces were well-done with a few medium. It was disappointing. There is an option to select well-done when ordering, but I didn't select it. The salad itself was pretty unexciting, too, with just mixed greens and coconut roasted cashews. That was partly my fault because I had them hold the mango salsa and jicama. I added red onions and avocado from my own kitchen and that helped liven it up. I also discovered if I dipped the steak in the salad dressing it tasted better. The salad dressing was honey Dijon, but it tasted more like thousand island. That's okay, I like thousand island. The best part of the salad was the coconut roasted cashews. Wow, they were delicious. I don't think I'll order that again for delivery. If I have it again, it will be in person so I can send it back if the steak is well-done. DoorDash gave me a partial refund this time.

My lunch: Seared Wild Ahi Tuna (well done)

This was my first time at this particular urban plates at Santana Road. I've been to the one in Sunnyvale a handful of time. All I really wanted was hummingbird cake and some coffee but I knew I needed something more substantial for lunch. Lol so I got the Aji seared tuna and had it well done. I got a side of mushrooms and country potatoes. To my surprise the country Potatoes had blue as well as Yukon gold and regular potatoes in the mixture! Wow! I was very impressed!! The server was incredibly polite with us since my girlfriend and I were meeting up after not hanging out for two years and we couldn't figure out what we wanted! Once we got our food, everything tasted delicious and my girlfriends like their salad and sandwich sandwiches. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience was very open and friendly. Everything was clean and very well organized![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I wouldn't mind coming back here again for lunch. I definitely loved the hummingbird cake as well as the giant slice they gave me!! Needless to say I ate the whole hummingbird cake and took my lunch to go. Lol.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is spacious with many tables. There are seating outside the restaurant as well[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Came here for a late lunch with a friend. There was no line, however, the two workers at the front just ignored us while they were busy working behind the counter. We waited for about 10 mins before someone acknowledged us and asked if we were ready to order. Not good customer service to begin with. We ordered the Grilled Chicken plate (with chimichurrii sauce) and the Roasted Barramundi Seabass plate. The grilled chicken is moist and the chimichurri sauce is very good. For the harrisa lime cauliflower, it's a bit too salty and too much lime. The roasted brussel sprouts with balsamic glaze is pretty good. My friend said the roasted barramundi seabass is good but the rainbow carrots and golden beets side dish is greasy. It's pretty pricey for the portion size. For adding a side of protein to a salad (that doesn't come with any protein) such as grilled chicken, it's another $10 that is expensive. The price you pay is like eating at a full service restaurant.

    Amanda V.

Very slow service to order, even when other people were not ahead of me and I visited in between peak lunch and dinner hours. That said, the kitchen was quick to bring our food out once we sat down. Menu had a great variety of items. Everything we ate tasted fresh and well seasoned. I would come back!

The steaks are yummy but portions are small, don't forget to get chimichurri because it's adds a lot of flavors to the steaks. Healthy plates!

Came with friends on a Wednesday around 7:30pm and we were able to place our orders right away at the front. Urban Plates is located in Santana Row among many other food spots, and parking was easy to find in one of the nearby garages. Despite how lively Santana Row usually is, Urban Plates felt quiet and chill as soon as we walked in. The space was clean, spacious, and warmly lit, which made it a comfortable place to dine. The menu offers a wide variety of options, including soups and salads, American-style plates and bowls, and sandwiches. There's also a cute display of desserts at the front. I ordered: the Grilled Grass-Fed Steak Sandwich: steak was cooked nicely, well-seasoned, and served with perfectly toasted bread and chips on the side. Nothing fancy, but clean, good, and simple. Overall, Urban Plates is a solid spot for a relaxed, no-frills meal at Santana Row.

Tried Urban Plates take-out when planning a movie night, glad to find a new solid option! * Location: Indoor & outdoor seating, order at cashier firsr or place your mobile order. Restaurant is in Santana Row, pick parking garage of your choice for easy access. * Online order was easy, pick-up was super fast & efficient. Food was packaged very practically (ex: fries in a sealed box to keep them crispy). We tried the tomato soup, portobello mushroom sandwich, & chicken tenders. All fresh-tasting (nothing too heavy or greasy), good flavors, & solid meals without tasting like fast food. Looking forward to trying more dishes next time!

Because. Every time I get there I just cannot not order one of these. That loaded burrito is the best bar none breakfast burrito I have ever eaten. So on a scale of deliciousness, this is an epic winner. I switch between the pistachio and coconut late because it is, again, delicious. Not too sweet (I don't like too sweet), and with plenty of that flavor. So many times have I ordered a coconut latte at other places to only have the slightest hint of coconut. Not here, no sir, these Lattes are truly flavored and flavored well. Easy parking. Open early, so I don't have to wait till nearly noon for breakfast, is just the icing on this cake. What a fantastic sandwich shop and drinks bar. I honestly thought I had written a review, so was surprised that I had not, so here it is. The place is clean. Large windows in the front for natural light. Quiet and calm. The seating is convenient and easy, although, and it's probably just me, but, my knees struggle for comfortable sitting since the table legs are in the middle of the table, so I tend to have to sit sideways, but, that's really not an issue since I'm not sitting there for hours. Customers usually come in, grab what they need, pay, and head out, which keeps things moving smoothly. One of the best things about this bakery is the incredible variety of pastries and breads. We walked into a cozy, compact space with shelves filled with freshly baked breads, pastries, and prepared foods, all arranged in a way that makes you want to browse slowly even though the shop is small. The atmosphere has that simple, welcoming feel reminiscent of the small bakeries you find throughout Japan, focusing more on quality and variety than on a large café setup. Seating is limited, so it is better suited for grabbing something to go rather than spending a long time inside. The biggest draw here is the combination of Japanese baked goods and savory items. The bakery selection offers a great mix of sweet and savory options, with classics like melon pan standing out for its crisp sugary topping and soft interior that stays light without being dry. The curry bread and croquette bread are also popular choices, both feeling comforting and freshly made rather than overly sweet or greasy. The bakery items are reasonably priced, which makes it easy to pick up multiple things without feeling like you are spending too much, and the variety means there is always something new to try. The onigiri selection is what really makes Clover stand out compared to a typical bakery. They offer a variety of rice balls with fillings like spicy tuna, tuna mayo, and unagi, making it a great option for a quick breakfast or light meal. The rice is well balanced and the fillings give each onigiri a different personality. The spicy tuna has a nice kick that comes through without overpowering the rice, while the unagi adds a sweeter, more savory flavor that works especially well with the slightly salty rice. The onigiri are a practical, satisfying choice for anyone looking for something more substantial than a pastry. Beyond the baked goods and onigiri, Clover also has drinks, sandwiches, and desserts including cakes and other pastries. The strawberry cake is a nice lighter dessert option, and the overall menu gives plenty of reasons to visit whether you are looking for breakfast, a snack, or something to bring home. The offerings feel thoughtfully selected, with enough variety to cover different cravings without making the menu feel scattered. Service is friendly and efficient, and the small size of the shop adds to the charm. Since it has become a popular local spot, some items can sell out during busy hours, so arriving earlier gives you the best selection. Parking can also be a little challenging during peak times, but the quick grab-and-go style makes the visit easy to manage. Clover Bakery & Cafe is a great stop for anyone who enjoys Japanese bakeries. The combination of fresh breads, affordable prices, and unique savory options like onigiri makes it feel different from a standard bakery. It is the type of place where it is worth picking up a few items and trying a mix of everything, leaving you with the sense that you have found a little neighborhood gem that delivers on both quality and variety.

The cool part is that they have a pretty large list of free condiments. I tried the sweet chili aoili, charred jalapeno aioli, and the Meyer lemon aioli. Both were great as extra sauces in the chicken bowl. Overall, pretty solid spot and they got a decent selection of beers with their inhouse beers only goin for 7 bux! Will def be back for another burger
