Mediterranean Medley Boxed Salad (V)
Terica B.

One word! Amazing!!!! They take salad creation to another level! The location is about 10 minutes from San Jose Airport. From how they carefully packaged the food to the taste! Everything was fresh and delicious!!! I ordered the Mediterranean Medley with no feta. Since it's a drive up location, they brought my salad out to my car once it was ready. There's no seating on the inside but don't let that deter you. From my view, everything was spotless! Get more than one dressing because it's homemade! This place was one of the best salad locations I've been to in the US of A!

Pro-tip: store your extra dressings in a cup.

Vegetarian here ‍ so figured I should finally try this place out! Ordering was super easy, and there are plenty of different choices. Pick-up is even easier, just ring the bell and get your salad. Service was fine, nothing over the top and nothing bad. I like that you don't have to go inside and parking is so close. There are some patio tables outside, but it's pretty dark at night. As someone who makes really good salads and dressings from scratch, I think I just have high standards. That being said, the salad was good, but I was definitely expecting it to WOW me. Maybe I tried the wrong one? I ordered Mediterranean medley, added chickpeas and ordered an extra dressing lemon vinaigrette. So glad I did, because I actually preferred the lemon dressing, but they tasted good mixed too. The portions are not a problem, and for a $20 salad I'm so glad. You can definitely get 2 meals! Will maybe come back and try a different one. Definitely plenty of vegetarian options and pet friendly outside.

Good Salad is always my go-to place for salads because it's reasonably priced and the ingredients and flavors work so well together. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and the dressing is amazing and really ties the salad together without overpowering it. It's consistently satisfying and never feels boring, which is hard to find with salads. Highly recommend if you're looking for a reliable, fresh, and delicious option. It is kind of hard to find the store and it is take out only, so plan on taking it out to go elsewhere to eat. You have to place order ahead of time from your phone.

I come here at least 4 times a week and it's always consistently the best thing I've ever eaten. All the ingredients are so fresh!!! The staff is so sweet as well I love the ease of picking it up when I ring the doorbell. It's always ready when I order!! Also obsessed with the lentil soup!!! If you haven't had it, you need it!!! I get it every time now after trying it

Food: - Item: Blazing Bird Salad - The salad was pretty good, loved the crunchy onions - Came with a vinaigrette and chipotle ranch which was pretty good - I believe all the meats are halal here - Lettuce seemed fresh - Chicken was cooked and seasoned although I felt like the portion size for the chicken and avocado could've been better, didn't feel like I got enough for the price - 7/10 Service: - You're served out of a window so you just pull up and pick up your food - I recommend ordering off the app, which is what I did, you can choose when you want the food ready by - The utensils are compostable - 9/10 Ambiance: - Great place to just pick up and go - I believe you can scan a QR code and order that way as well - No wait time unless you order on the spot - Parking is decent - It's a bit hidden away but not too hard to find either - 8/10 Overall Rating: 8/10

After writing my initial review, the owner contacted me and invited me to give the place another shot, offering a free salad. With all the amazing reviews this establishment has, I figured I must have gone on a very off day--and boy, was I right! I wasn't sure what to expect, but the salad was incredible--a complete 180 from the first time I had it. This is definitely a salad I'll be craving. I highly recommend trying the Blazing Bird; it was fantastic! Thank you to the amazing staff for going out of their way to turn my experience into a positive one. I'll definitely be back! Also, look at how cute their merch is next time you go to the counter to pick up your salad!!! My pink hat is so cute.

Dont exactly remember what I got in the salad but this place is sooo good! I've had multiple salads from there now and it's always so filling and it makes me feel so healthy too. I've never seen so many options for a salad too, it made it kind of hard to choose ‍ If you're looking for a good salad I would deff try good salad lol the name speaks for itself!

Steak Supreme Salad with extra blue cheese and added Carmelized Pecans and Sweet Potato Chips

I didn't know what to expect when my bestie told me to pick her up so we can grab these salads. We pulled up to this building and saw the cute logo and radish signage, knowing we were in the right place. Then we walked up and rang the little doorbell, a window sung open, they asked us our name and handed us what turned out to be these glorious salads. Staff is very friendly and the food, extremely deliciousssss! I got the Steak Supreme and it was a perfect balance of sweet, salty, fresh and crunchy (cause I added sweet potato chips and carmelized nuts). The portion was generous and it was easy to mix in the box provided. While The Good Salad isn't a storefront there were these two picnic benches outside which was nice with the sun out. Will definitely be going back to try their other salads!

to go only spot for darn good salads. i had the cali ceezer salad modified by subbing chickpeas/garbanzo beans for chicken and adding pita chips. yum, yum, yum! so fresh and delicious. would come back to try more. there's two picnic tables out front and parking can be tricky on weekdays.

Didn't expect a team lunch order to lead me to the best dang salad I've ever had, but here we are. Absolutely love the Blazing Bird, swapped the chipotle ranch for the grape vinaigrette. Fresh, bold, greatly textured. This place delivers. Every. Single. Time.

Amazing salad! Crunchy and satisfying texture! Delicious flavor and the chicken was perfectly cooked! Its Halal too! The dressings were also on the side by default so you could easily adjust how much you wanted. Very limited seating and parking. Its definitely a to-go spot. Service was cheerful and friendly! Was very happy with my blazing bird salad and would get it again. I highly recommend this spot to all and will definitely be back.

Catherine N.

According to Yelp, this spot is surprisingly #8 Top Place to Eat in the nation, so we were eager to try it out. I really enjoyed the customization options - I got a steak supreme salad with parm instead of blue cheese and added edamame + crunchy onions. The steak was very tender and all the toppings made for a satisfying lunch. The ranch dressing was already zingy, so next time I would skip the glaze which took it over the top for me. But, that's kinda on me for not tasting before dumping it in. (Pro-Tip: it's very tart! Drizzle a bit and taste as you go!!) The spot lives up to the name - we had a good salad. I'm not sure if there's really even such thing as an extraordinary salad or a great salad even. But, this was very solid!

Cali Ceezer Salad
Mayra D.

I always order takeout from their Santa Clara location, but yhey always greet you with a smile and super nice! My go to salad is the Halal Chicken Ceezer Salad, ingredients are super fresh, romaine lettuce insanely crisp and the dressing is literally insanely amazing!

Hella yummy Palestinian food in the Bay!…read more I've heard of Holyland but finally had the chance to dine there for a weekend lunch. These days it's always at the front of my mind that food spots that call themselves "Middle Eastern" or "Mediterranean" truly divulge who is the owner and chefs are. I'm talking about only eating from restaurants that can name the country their food comes from be it Falasteen, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, the list goes on. Holyland is located in the industrial part of Santa Clara, and they boast lots of interior seating (great for large parties and group meals) and also run a catering service. So there's loads of parking and plenty of space. My friend and I were hungry, so I got the lamb kofta and he had the beef plates. We were SO happy. It comes with a light tangy salad, delicious hummus with a kick of spice, a bed of delicious yellow rice and slender pita bread. They also have serve-yourself hot cardamom tea which is so delicious and perfect. They also serve a bunch of other refrigerated drinks like Salaam Cola and kefir. The mezze plate with x4 different dips looks so yummy, I would get that next time with a large group to share. Will definitely head back with a larger group. We saw other diners from couples, to solo to large families eating. The interior could use some sprucing up, but the quality of the food, staff, and authenticity of the place is #1. Delicious. Freedom for the Holyland Five and liberation for all of Palestine!

Uyghur Home Now…read more Tarim Garden sits in a nondescript strip mall situated along the Foodie Highway and serves up one of the hardest cuisines to find: Chinese Uyghur (pronounced wee-goo'r). Because of its location in NW China, Uyghur cuisine is a natural fusion of Chinese, multiple "Stans" (e.g., Pakistan, Kazakhstan, etc.), and is predominantly Muslim in population. The food is 100% authentic, as the proprietor, Lei Han, is a third-generation chef from the Ili region. Their food has already captured the attention of Bay Area food critics and was featured by SF Eater and recently included in the local PBS Station's 2026 "What to Eat in the Bay Area"** list for the South Bay. The Good: * All meats are 100% Halal (حلال) * Large shared parking lot * Order via QR code * Friendly service * Very reasonable prices and giant portions. Even we had leftovers! :8) * Pan-fried Lamb and Onion Dumplings were a bit underseasoned for my liking, but the flavor and texture were delicious. * Stir-Fried Noodles was another winner, with delicious noodles and tender chicken. Please note that the menu doesn't reflect that it comes with meat, but it does. We didn't really care either way, but some people might. * The Laghman (a type of hand-pulled noodle) is the thing to get here, as the flavor and texture of them were phenomenal. You could lock me in a room with a bucket of them, and I'd be happy as a clam. The Meh: * No alcohol * You can order through the app but have to pay the old-fashioned way. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The Ugly: * Despite critical acclaim and being open for several years, it's a bit staggering how low the review count (67?!) is here on Yelp. It reminded me of Galbijjim, though a bit less tender. Still very good, and the doughy, garlic-infused hand-pulled noodles underneath were easily the best part of the whole meal. - Spicy Beef Noodles: Adding this on was a mistake. Ordered medium spice, but it wasn't spicy at all-just very heavy on the herbal flavor. The noodle bounciness was nice, but not enough to make me order it again. A disappointing second visit after an amazing first experience…read more Our experience at Meyhouse has been mixed, which is especially disappointing given how much we loved it the first time. We first visited about 1.5-2 years ago for dinner, and it was easily a 5/5 experience. The food, drinks, and dessert were all fantastic. We enjoyed it so much that we were excited to return. Unfortunately, our second visit in October 2026 was a completely different experience. We opted for the prix fixe menu and selected a seafood appetizer and yogurt dip. We were then informed that the seafood appetizer was unavailable, and our server offered hummus as a substitute. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst hummus dishes we've tasted. It had an unpleasant burnt, bitter flavor, with what appeared to be caramelized butter practically floating on top. We sent it back, and our server offered to replace it with a salad. That salad never arrived. The main courses took an exceptionally long time to arrive. At that point, we were just sitting there waiting for food, having had only one appetizer between the two of us. The chicken was decent, but the vegetable entrée was well below average. When it came to dessert, our server asked if we'd like it prepared, mentioning it would take about 10 minutes. We said yes, but it took over 20 minutes to arrive. To be fair, the dessert--semolina with ice cream--was delicious and one of the few highlights of the evening. Service was equally disappointing. At one point, our server accidentally spilled water while refilling a glass and assured us he'd have it cleaned up right away. That never happened. There was a consistent pattern of promising to take care of things and simply not following through. To top it all off, when the check arrived, we noticed an additional $4 charge for the hummus--the very dish that had been offered as a replacement for an unavailable appetizer and that we had sent back because it tasted terrible. What bothered us most wasn't just the food or the delays, but the overall lack of attentiveness and accountability. The service felt indifferent, almost as though our experience didn't matter. It's disappointing to see such a dramatic difference between two visits to the same restaurant. We know Meyhouse is capable of delivering an excellent dining experience because we've experienced it firsthand. Unfortunately, this visit fell far short of that standard. First visit: 5/5. Second visit: 2/5. I genuinely hope this was an off day, but it has certainly made us hesitant to return.

It's like a cross between a western style bbq joint and a middle eastern twist with its meats and food. Turns out, this place is mainly an Afghan restaurant! It's half eatery half a butcher shop for people to come and purchase fresh meats for some home cooking. In fact, I watched a lot of people coming in and ordering meats to go. I ordered their chili lamb kabob which was tender and juicy. It had lots of flavor from the spices but enough to where it wasn't overwhelming. I ordered it on top of a pillow of rice which was fluffy and buttery textured. It was delicious. There are sauce bottles to pair with the meats which is my favorite part. I really liked their white creamy yogurt sauce mixed with their red house chili sauce. It gave my lamb meat so much flavor and some heat. I loved my order and will definitely order two next time. I also want to try their steaks. They take their time grilling their meats so orders can take a short while. It's worth it for sure. No complaints here but I do wish they played some light music in the background for some ambiance. Things can be real quiet in here so it can be awkward dining in. Other than that, I really like this place and will be back for more.
