My pita had a good amount of hummus and falafel in it, but the vegetables were like a hint of garnish; not packed in to add lots of flavor as you would get in Israel. There are only a few tables outside, so don't go at a busy time if you want outdoor dining. We like the falafel in pita sandwich from here better than a few other local places we tried recently. We recommend you add as many of the following to your pita as you can: Babaganoush Hummus Tahini sauce the spicy sauce Seasoned waffle fries can help stretch the meal. We wouldn't get again: -Achilles sauce: it just tastes like yogurt mixed with garlic. -The falafel plate. It doesn't come with pita, so I ordered pitas and extra falafel so we could make up our own sandwiches the next day. But the plate isn't as generous as I was expecting, given it costs more than the sandwich (yet doesn't include pita). We received a spoonful of babaganoush, maybe 1/4 cup of Achilles sauce and hummus, four falafel, mixed lettuce and some of the pickles, chopped tomato & cucumber, plus turmeric rice. This was my second time at this particular, Achilles Restaurant. I went to the one in Santa Cruz a couple times before. I'm so glad there's closer one to me on the side of the hill! The portion they served are huge so if you get a plate, go with a friend and you can definitely share one. Unless you want extra or leftovers for yourself. Lol. Surface was quick and the menu is easy to read with a lot of different options! Don't get too overwhelmed by the amount of sauces you could add or just get the Works and pick off other things you don't like. I always forget they put jalapeños that are pickled on the Works. Pretty frickin good bro. Big fan of the gyro beef wrap the works way. Highly recommend getting everything on whatever you get, there's really no reason not to. It's been a while since I've had Achilles. There were no other customers when we arrived. I order the Achilles chicken, with every spread and sauce added on + extra spicy. The chicken was very dry, even more dry than the usual chicken breasts I've had. Perhaps it's due to the lack of moving customers + the chicken was precooked and sitting there for a while. Hummus and the other spreads tasted pretty good though. For good sauce, but dry meat, and non seasoned lettuce, they get a 3.5 rounded to a 4. But they should consider making their meat more fresh, maybe adding pita to all meals, and seasoning their rice/lettuce more (instead of just throwing it on top). They have a kind of simple menu in that you choose your "meat" - gyro, chicken gyro, their Achilles chicken, or falafel, and then choose if you want it on a plate or in a pita.
