This was our first time coming here and we came here on a Friday night. It was moderately busy and we were sat right away. They had live music which I think might be a weekend thing but I'll need to confirm. Our server came over and welcomed us and took our drink order and let us know if we had any questions. We ordered an appetizer to start and it came out fairly quickly. The ambiance was very friendly and nice. One of ladies who I think was the owners tried to get me to dance with everyone but I'm very shy so I respectfully declined. Another table was there for a birthday and we're all dancing, it was a fun vibe! I found this place on Google Maps and was so excited to try it since I've been super into Persian kebabs lately. I came with my parents for lunch on a Sunday and we were seated immediately. We settled for the Mix Kebab Tehran since the portions are for 3 people. Mix Kebab Tehran - This dish came with Chicken Breast Kebab, Chicken Thigh Kebab, Beef Koobideh, and Filet Mignon Kebab. All of it was so delicious but my favorite one has to be the Beef Koobideh. It was juicy and fatty, perfect pairing with the acidity of the tomato and onions. The Chicken Breast kebab was also surprisingly juicy considering the leanness of the meat. This dish also came with a Persian yogurt sauce which my mom really loved. Ordered the Kashk Bademjoon appetizer to share and I enjoyed it more than my main dish. It was mashed well, creamy, and wasn't too salty or anything. The lavash was warm, soft, and paired well with the overall appetizer. For my main dish, I tried the Koobideh and chicken thigh combo to share. The Koobideh was tender and had a nice chew, the chicken thigh could've been a bit more tender/juicy, the roasted veggies gave the dish a nice crunch and the rice was prepared well. But, the overall dish felt like it was lacking seasoning/flavor and missing something maybe a sauce perhaps. I ended up putting some of the eggplant mixture on top of the Koobideh and chicken which gave it a bit more flavor since it was lacking. My husband ordered the bbq combo wrap which included both Koobideh and chicken along with onions and tomatoes. Same goes for the wrap, it was a solid wrap--but felt like it was missing something. I did enjoy the crispness of the wrap though. Would I come again? Probably not, as I've had better elsewhere. Loved the kashk bademjoon. Absolutely delicious. Tried the combination koobideh. Enjoyed the chicken more than the meat. Everything else was average. I'm still reeling from paying $11.99 for a small bowl of yogurt with chopped cucumber in it. The meal cost us upwards of $110 for two and this is not a fancy place. I think the sides are really expensive for what they are - especially the yogurt and the shirazi salad (Again just chopped cucumber and tomatoes in a small bowl) Tahdig with ghormeh sabzi came swimming in oil with barely 2 small pieces of meat in it and four kidney beans. I've been on a Middle Eastern food high for about a month now. I think it's my goal to try to find some of the best Middle Eastern, Persian, and Mediterranean eats in the South Bay area. I believe this was my second Persian place I tried on my pursuit of some of the best Persian/Middle Eastern eats. And boy am I glad I found this place. First of all this place I feel like is one of those hole in the wall places. It's kind of hidden to the side. Like a hidden gem. I also think that this place is also a really popular spot for receptions and catering. When I went on a Saturday afternoon it was nice and quiet, the host (I believe she is either the manager or owner) was super nice) I ordered koobidah and chicken combination because I wanted to try both proteins. I also ordered the lavaash bread also. I underestimated how large these portions were going to be. But besides the underestimation, the food was absolutely delicious here. I never combined lavaash with mint like that it's a whole new flavor profile I really came to appreciate with the sumac onions and grilled tomatoes on the side with the well seasoned and juicy meats was absolutely delicious. The saffron rice was a generous portion that could have probably feed two to three people. I needed to take leftovers home. But this place is worth checking out if you want to try Persian and Middle Eastern food I'm definitely coming back because it is my current favorite Middle Eastern spot. My mind is blown. Came here on a Saturday night at around 8 pm. The staff were all very kind. We used the QR code to look at the menu and the server came by to take our order. I absolutely loved everything we ordered here. The hummus was delicious. I couldn't stop eating it The shallot yogurt was one of a kind. The best yogurt I've ever tasted at any Persian restaurant . Lunch date with one of my besties after our late morning walk. I was craving Persian food, so we decided to try this place since it's conveniently located near Home Depot, which was our next stop for a quick errand. The restaurant was empty, probably because we came in for an early lunch. The host was very friendly and welcoming, although I did feel a little rushed to order since she checked in with us a few times to see if we were ready. I would totally understand if it had been busy, but we were the only customers there at the time. Since it was our first visit and the menu is accessed by QR code, we were still scrolling through everything and deciding what to get. We ended up ordering individual plates. I had the Chelo Kebab Koobideh, which is a ground beef kabob served with saffron rice, grilled tomato, and fresh onion slices. My bestie ordered the lamb chops with saffron rice and grilled peppers. While we were waiting, the host brought out complimentary flatbread, yogurt, and salad, which was such a nice surprise. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal. We got the family platter of 6 assorted kebabs ($109.99) and the sabzi stew ($20.99) and it was all amazing. Us 5 people maybe finished like 50% of the food with plenty to take home afterwards. Came here with friends on a Saturday night after seeing some positive reviews online, but unfortunately this place was a disappointment across the board. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty, which quickly made sense to us. We were asked to view the menu via QR code but not order through it, but just tell the server what we wanted, which felt unnecessarily awkward. Prices also felt very high for what was offered. I paid nearly $25 for my dish, and it was absolutely not worth it. Additionally, they had images of the dishes on the menu which did not look like what we received. Food took almost 30 minutes to arrive. We were given complimentary lavash with butter and mint, but both the bread and butter were cold, making it nearly impossible to spread, and the combination itself was unappealing. Water was self serve from a jug that was never refilled. There were also cleaning solution bottles left on every table, which felt strange. We didn't know if we were expected to clean the tables ourselves. I ordered the gormeh sabzi, a dish I've had many times elsewhere. This version was overly sour, very oily, and came with very little stew compared to a large portion of rice. Service wise, the staff were friendly, but there were notable issues. My friend ordered chicken and was served beef instead. The server simply removed it from the plate. That's especially concerning for anyone with dietary restrictions. None of us enjoyed our experience, and given the price, wait time, and food quality, this isn't a place I'd recommend. read more

The restaurant looks like old persian style in grand bazar. In farsi we say: چلوکبابی ( chelokababi) so its not a beautiful setup but its somehow nostalgia. All artificial flowers, red table cloths, red rose and...So its not a shic, high end restaurant...You get that familiar feeling that you are walking a restaurant in Tehran's downtown...But it was very clean which i like the most. Also just like a Persian restaurant, you can feel saffron and rice aroma from outside of restaurant. The TV was on and they were getting ready for the world cup. I wished we were able to dine in but we werent. We ordered chicken Tigh skewers. Dont forget to ask for lime and extra sumac. It was very juicy, delicious and balanced taste. Not too spicy or salty. At 4:30PM there was no food and told to wait maybe 5 mins. I got irritated because the music was blaring in the EMPTY restaurant that felt as hot as it was outside at 85 degrees. At 4:35PM, I was again told my food was NOT ready but they would give me a free baklava. Now I was very peeved b/c I could of gotten food by 4:10PM at many other places and be at home by 4:25PM. My kid was waiting in the car an extra 20 mins and there are only a few parking spots with minimal shade. The food finally came at 4:45PM AFTER I stated I would like a refund and forget the food. They gave us a Coke & Sprite which I gave to an unhoused person b/c we don't drink sodas BUT OF COURSE THE PROMISED BAKLAVA WAS NOT IN OUR BAG! Food was meh given we got charred bell peppers and lots of charred onions w/ the chicken. Cost was VERY expensive at $9.99 for Salad Shirazi that was 2/3 full in an 8 ounce container for tomato, cucumber, onion, mint, lemon with seasonings; Salad was mainly onions, which are the cheapest veggie. I say Persian Food in South Bay just sucks compare to places in DC. DC Persian/ Middle Eastern restaurants always offered kebabs with both meat and veggies marinated on the same stick. I wanted to share why I decided to leave your restaurant shortly after being seated. We were welcomed in by the gentleman at the front and seated at a four-person table. The restaurant was otherwise empty aside from your group and one employee. A woman from the kitchen then commented in Persian, twice, asking why two people were seated at a table for four. Unfortunately for the situation, I am fluent in Persian and understood everything being said. My wife asked what was said, and once I translated it, the atmosphere immediately became uncomfortable and unwelcoming. We stumbled across this restaurant while in the area. Friday evening a live musician who sang or played soft music for our dining experience was a nice touch. Greeted & sat down immediately as there were a few party's already enjoying the evening. No menus were given out but a handy QR code was available on the table and as we waited for our delicious food the restaurant had more traffic walk in for dine in or pick up orders. The ambiance isn't my favorite as it doesn't have a cozy feeling and feels a bit more like a supermarket turned restaurant, but it was very clean and organized inside which I appreciated. Service was a bit slow as it seemed there were only two people working but they were friendly and working hard to meet all of our needs as we were a larger party. The food was pretty good. The rice was a bit too oily but the meats and especially the kabob kubideh were very delicious. Their eggplant dip appetizer was also tasty. I would be open to coming back here and trying some other items. If you're in the area and looking for some good Persian food, I do think this restaurant is worth trying. read more

We opted for Barg kabob, chicken koobideh kabob and ghormeh Sabzi stew. The kabobs were juicy and tender and the presentation was beautiful. The ghormeh Sabzi was Ok and lacked the sour flavor that should have. Seems they do not add lemon or sour grape juice to it. Hope they change the recipe and do make it the way it is traditionally. We ordered the Beef Koubideh, and the Chicken Koubideh for main course. Both were tender and juicy. We also got the yoghurt with cucumber, which was also good. Not really qualified to judge Persian food, we thought the food was good for the most part with some misses. The Queen plate came with two koobideh (beef and chicken thigh) and pieces of chicken breast. The koobideh were our favorite, both were flavorful and moist. The chicken breast however was very dry, salty and tough which disappointed us. We liked the grilled tomatoes but wished there were more than one quarter of grilled onion, perhaps some peppers. My Daughters took me to this place telling me it had great reviews. We were happy to find a new place that we can go to as Iranian Americans, having been here for over 50 years, I know all the Persian food restaurants around here. Well, it was a terrible experience and on Mather's day to top it off! The décor was nice, it was setup ok, but the music was way too loud on the left side of the place. They acted like it was a fast food place, just showed us pointed to where out table was, there was No menu, they had QR Code only. No Veggie plate or Bread and Butter, which is customary in all Persian Restaurants as an appetizer, so we ordered the eggplant dish, came with two strands of mint and about maybe 10 tiny pieces of Lavash bread for 5 people. The Rude waitress with half bleached hair came and brought us a skinny pitcher of water and left it for usw to pour. Never came back to check on us or bring us more water. She came and asked what we wanted to order and disappeared. We waited for a very long time patiently. Finally she comes and bring the food, She brought me something completely different then what I had ordered, and I said, this not what i ordered, she said we ran out of the one you ordered and i brought you this instead. I said, you should have came and told me you didn't have what I ordered and gave me a choice, which she said rudely, so what do you want me to do? I said, I guess nothing and just pushed the plate back. Then another person came and said, what can i bring you, and offered another choice, which she said it was ready to bring now, and she will bring it out. Took my plate and left for about 15 minutes, while my family sat there waiting for their Mom's meal to come. I noticed my Son in law had ordered Ghormeh Sabzi, and Tahdig Appetizer which was very runny (watery) , the container had two small pieces of meat in it and that was it. One of my Daughter's had ordered Chicken Cabob, and her meat was not cooked enough. Also was very Salty. They had no salad dressing other then Italian, as we were told, so the other lady asked what would we like, and I said, lemon and Salt and pepper at least. My daughter wanted Persian Salad Dressing, but they had none. Then Finally my meal arrived, It was not what I expected still! They had thrown something together and brought it out. I had intentionally not ordered Beef, but their rice had tiny pieces of Beef in it. None of us really enjoyed our meal! But we were glad we were together. I believe these people have no people skills!! Also watch out for the bill! They tried to charge my daughter for two meals for me, and tried to charge a full meal for my Son In Law's Appetizer. They tried to make it better, but then tried to gouge my daughter by jacking up the bill. They left all the dished on the table in our way, and did not remove them until after the customers left the table. I was planning to meet some friends there this week for lunch, but changed location. First impression is important and they blew it. But, on my most recent visit, Persian Kebobs (resto side) was poppin'. Looks like the strategy is paying off! Persian Kebobs is open for takeout, delivery, indoor dining, and outdoor dining (dog-friendly). M E N U Persian salads, sandwiches, "burritos" (lavash wraps), kebabs (koobideh: chicken or beef, joojeh: chicken thigh, barg: filet mignon, shashlik: lamb chops, etc.) and stews (ghormeh sabzi: herb stew, gheimeh: beef/lamb pea stew, etc.).
