Service 3 stars Meat 4 stars Sides. 1 star We came on a Monday at 6pm. Only 1 family was inside eating. Lady at the counter wasn't rude or friendly. The person delivering the food to the table was nice. We ordered ribs (3.5 stars) they were a little dry, not much smokey flavor, but the seasoning was good. We also got a brisket (4.5 stars) great flavor, super tender, to much fat marbling for me. Sides - a good BBQ need to have good sides. Mac-n-cheese (3 stars) it was very runny BBQ beans (3.5 stars) great flavor but served room temp Potato salad (3 stars) to much relish or pickle Corn bread (2 stars) no flavor No wet napkins - this is a must for eating bbq with your fingers

    Brisket. Coleslaw and baked potato

Everything was delicious. I had the brisket, baked potato and coleslaw. The staff was friendly and helpful. Reminded me of barbecue from Texas!

Had a craving for BBQ ribs one morning and decided to try out Wagon Wheel. The reviews looked promising, so I showed up at 10am ordering the rib meal. It should have occurred to me that lunch service wouldn't begin until later, but the owner was incredibly gracious and had my meal ready after 20min. The ribs were well cooked and falling apart, the mac and cheese was very flavorful, and the sauces were perfect. Would come back again!

Great food and service. Stopped by after work and heard a lot about this place so I had to check it out. Right off Moffet Blvd on 101 is where it's located with minimal parking. Got the regular tri tip meal with potato salad & Mac and cheese and cokes with corn bread. Trip tip was tender and juicy. Potato salad wasn't too bad but it was flavorful. Mac and cheese were really good. Not soggy or too much cheese at all. The cornbread was crispy on the edges and really buttery. Must try bbq place in Mountain View.

The service was very quick, I enjoyed their sides! They have a lot of seating! I got the two meat combo with Mac and cheese and potato salad.

Dinner- started to get busy 10 mins after ordering :)

Was in the area and decided BBQ was a good option for dinner. Wagon Wheel BBQ has been in my bookmarks for a while and decided to give it a try. Order at the counter, seat yourself and food brought out. Decided on the Two Meat Combos with 3 sides: :: Brisket and Burnt Ends Brisket was tender, not overly seasoned and delicious. Burnt ends were (IMO) not my thing - tough leathery, dry pieces smothered in bbq sauce - a meat left behind! 2.5/5 :: Brisket and Pork Ribs - both good options and would stick with that next time. Sides: Mac n cheese - creamy cheese and tasty, Cole slaw was enjoyed. Beans were a bit undercooked and sweet (like they used the bbq sauce), garlic bread or corn bread. Decent options Overall, 3.5 stars...recommend the ribs and brisket...avoid the burnt ends based on my experience tonight. Realized spot is the sister spot to Redwood City BBQ and South Winchester BBQ as they have the same recognizable menu items and bottled BBQ sauce. Small parking lot in front and right off Moffett Blvd from Highway 101 near NASA Ames Research Center. Average price/person with no drink: $32 with tax and tip

Got ton of takeout for 8 people. Ordering online was easy, with curbside pickup available. Food was ready on time, well-packed with butter and honey for the cornbread, and they were great asking whether we needed utensils and plates. MEATS 1 lb tri tip - stole the show, you can see how juicy it is Full rack ribs - falling off the bone tender, though wish there was more going on with the rub 2 lb brisket - we expected to be a crowd fave so I ordered extra but was actually a bit dry! Good strip of fat and crust though. Wonder if an off night. 1 lb pulled pork - appreciated the mix of textures here, though personally wish I had some Carolina Vinegar bbq sauce with this 1/2 chicken - just had a bite and it was moist, good lighter bbq option SIDES Beans - flavorful Mac n cheese - good texture and v cheesy Potato salad - more seasoned and less creamy than most (which I like) Cornbread - thin like literal slices of bread - cornmeal bread loaf? Not a big fan but significantly improved warmed with butter and honey Farmer's salad - should love this on paper but maybe I didn't like the dressing? Something was off today. I can see myself getting this with tri tip on top and another dressing in the future. Cobbler - simple but surprisingly good, not very sweet, perfect warmed in the oven and served with ice cream. Quite a sizable portion. Highly recommend! Almost everything (all the meats, rubs, sauce, sides except Mac and bread) are gluten free which is great. We had a whole container of meat and cornbread and half the sides leftover.

We got the 3 meat combo, and it came with 2 sides and cornbread. We got chicken, brisket, and pork ribs with potato salad and mac n cheese. We got the food super fast. The cornbread wasn't that special. They have 5 beers on tap and a variety of canned beers. I would definitely get the brisket if we come back. Service was good, and the place smells so good inside. A lot of tables available!

We ordered 4 Meat Meal (brisket, hot links, burnt ends and pork ribs). The meats are well-seasoned and prepared well. We love the burnt ends that a very strong sweet like caramel flavor with rich charcoal taste. Garlic toasts are good as well. Brisket with meat juice and pork ribs are fall off the bone tender and tasty. Hot links are spicy but we liked the kick. Will definitely come back for more. Support local business!

Brisket, burnt ends, Mac and cheese, chili, and corn bread!
    Terry T.

The locals and regulars are going to hate me for this, but this American BBQ spot tucked away in the corner of the city is such a gem. The brisket is honestly the best I've ever had and the burnt ends were just right. Not to mention the buttered cornbread is baked just right.

Located on a corner with easy parking. This place had quite a few tables full on a weekday with many people biking over so parking was plenty. We could immediately smell the smoky bbq when we got out of the car and were prepared for a delicious meal. The place is quite large with lots of tables and plenty of seating. The decor is nice too, but it totally bugged me that a couple of the ceiling fans didn't match with the rest. Also the bathroom I used had Italian pictures on the walls which was a little off for a bbq spot. They also have some merch like t-shits for sale. I got a brisket meal, and my fiancee went with tri tip. The food came out quickly which was great because we were both starving! The meat was very tasty, the sides were just ok. I love that they have a local soda on tap with many delicious flavors to choose from.

I always order the three-bone special and have never been disappointed. I'm also a fan of the Creamed Corn and my wife loves the Cilantro Peanut Slaw. This time we also ordered a rack of Pork Ribs and Brussel Sprouts. This was to eat in. Helen also ordered Juicy Brisket, Pork Ribs and a Beef Rib to take home for lunch throughout the week. They went in to order while I walked the dog across the front of the restaurant. Princess and I entered, sat down and within five minutes, our order was served, even before my wife and Helen came to the table with their drinks. Beef Rib - 5 - I was told to parcel out the beef so I showed off by grabbing the bone, lifting it slightly and shaking. Of course, the meat slid right off of the bone. We ate the rib from the end first. It had the most crust, was super meaty and fatty at the same time. Perfection! Pork Ribs - 5 - These ribs were super tender and meaty. I love eating ribs without adding sauce so I can taste the rub and the meat. Creamed Corn - 4 - This batch seemed to be a bit starchy. Getting later in the corn season. Cilantro Peanut Slaw - 5 - She ate nearly 1/2 of the large container at lunch. No need to say more. Brussel Sprouts - 2 - I haven't tried these yet but both women said that these were extremely salty. The woman who was overseeing the dining area is tops in our book. We've seen here before. She is excellent in trying to ensure that every guest has everything they need to enjoy their meal including plates, flatware, napkins and then lids and take-out containers for leftovers. Next time, I'll remember to get her name.

It's hard to even pick favorites because literally everything was so good, but if I had to choose, the mac and cheese, cornbread, and ribs definitely stood out. The ribs were suuuuper juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. I'm really picky about mac and cheese, but theirs was SO good -- creamy, flavorful, and with chunks of meat mixed in that made it even better. The cornbread was moist with the perfect amount of sweetness. And the BBQ sauces?? So dang good that I ended up buying two bottles to take home with me. I ordered one of their meal packages, plus some extras on the things we needed more of. the meal package was supposed to include 2 types of bbq sauce plus ranch for the wings. they didn't give us any of the bbq sauces or the ranch. considering they charge $5 each for sides of sauces, that's $15 they shorted me. so we had dry chicken wings with nothing to dip them in... which means nobody wanted to eat them. there's another $25 I was out. we ended up having to use the bottled sauces that I bought as a gift... another $20 gone. pulled pork was fine. the brisket was pretty tough. my dad usually loves leftovers and didn't want to keep any of it... so that said a lot about the meal all by itself. the positives (?): cornbread was pretty good. wolf turds were good (though crazy expensive for what they are - only 2 come in an order for over $10). mac and cheese was good, though it has far less meat than it used to. all in all, not a positive experience. seems like they've really gone downhill. if you order to go, check your order carefully before you leave. they had everything ready when I got there and had tied the bags shut (double knotted), so it would have been hard to get them open. do yourself a favor tho and take the time to open each bag. it sucks to get all the way home and find key items were left out.

The location that we went to is located next to Maggiano's Little Italy in Santana Row on Olin Ave. There is a free 2 hour parking structure across of the restaurant where my boyfriend and I parked at. We came during their Lunch Specials (until 4pm) and Happy Hour (from 3-5:30pm) which worked perfectly as we wanted something smaller in portion compared to the dinner portions. We started off with drinks. I got their Pig Ol' Bitties Blonde Ale, and my boyfriend got their Friday Beer & Shot special of This Little Piggy Went to [Mark]et with a 16 oz Dirty Little Pig IPA and a shot of Benchmark whiskey. My fault for having him get a whiskey shot on an empty stomach, though HAHA. He did like how smooth the whiskey was at least! We shared a 2-meat BBQ Lunch Combo Plate, and honestly, we should have gotten 3 meats because of how tender and delicious everything was! We got their Tri Tip and Sliced Brisket with their Garlic Mash and server recommended Sweet Potato Tots. Ahhh, everything was so good! Aside from the tender, flavorful meats, the two sides, especially the garlic mash, were sooooo good. We both loved everything! It was definitely a great choice coming during lunch as we were quite full after ordering one of their happy hour shareables of Chips & Queso (kind of pricey even for happy hour in my opinion for chips and cheese). Honestly wished we got their Chili Cheese Fries or their other fries which were the same price than just chips and dip LOL. But it was a good hold over food with us drinking a bit (at least for me). Shoutout to the only server who was working on a late Friday afternoon as she was doing her best to accommodate everyone + trying to clean up the previous tables. It was kind of sad seeing that the other workers didn't help bus the tables in my opinion. Overall, a great place to watch sports and have some good whiskey as this restaurant is known for their whiskey selections! The lunch BBQ exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely come back for another lunch special meal but probably with 3 meats this time!
