You know when you host an event and don't have time to eat? Well, the food is so good (I promise your guests will be talking about it) it'll force you to take time to eat (and even grab seconds!). Passion for Catering was recommended by a friend and booked them for our baby shower of about 75 guests. I wasn't expecting anything more than good food and good service but what we received blew away expectations. The team was responsive throughout the booking process (a huge plus) and offered an eclectic and robust menu. That's all great to start but the real test came the day of our event. Their team was there on time to set up and food was ready by the time our first guests arrived. The food was delectable and truly made our time with friends and family memorable. Just as Passion for Catering was recommended to us by a friend, we'll be recommending them to all our friends on the market for a caterer. *kicking myself for not taking photos but will update for our next event! read more

I cannot say enough amazing things about Passion for Catering and its owner, Priscilla! I have hired her for so many different occasions (personal date-night exclusive event, to a graduation party, corporate breakfasts, and luncheons) and every single experience has been absolutely superb! Priscilla truly goes above and beyond with every event. The food is ALWAYS amazing, the presentation is beautiful, the decor and setup are impeccable, and the accommodations are next level. She has a gift for taking an idea and turning it into something better than I could have imagined. What I love most is that I can literally say, "I have an idea..." and Priscilla figures out how to make it happen. She is creative, attentive, professional, accommodating, and genuinely cares about making every event special. Whether you're planning an intimate celebration, a graduation, a corporate event, or anything in between, look no further than Passion for Catering. You will not be disappointed! Priscilla, thank you for consistently making every event memorable. You have definitely gained a lifelong client! 10/10 -- highly, highly recommend! read more

Passion for Catering handled the food for a celebration of life we hosted, and they exceeded every expectation. From the moment we booked with them, communication was clear and professional, and on the day itself, everything arrived and was set up right on schedule, one less thing to worry about during an already emotional day. The food itself was outstanding. We received so many compliments from our guests, several of whom asked where we'd gotten the catering from. The presentation and setup were beautiful and thoughtfully done, and it was clear the whole team took real pride in their work. Given the nature of the event, having a caterer we could fully trust to handle the details with care and professionalism meant so much to our family. Passion for Catering delivered on every front, and we are forever grateful for how they helped make the day special for everyone who came to celebrate with us. Highly recommend them for any event, especially one that calls for a personal touch. read more

By far the best catering service I have EVER used! Priscilla was professional, efficient and punctual. Everything went so smooth. From coming up with a menu to clean up, it was great. The food was delicious, fresh and visually placed perfectly. The decor was the finishing touch that made our celebration of life complete. Priscilla took care of it all. All we had to do was enjoy the day. All the stress of food was literally off our plate! Thanks passion for catering, we will be using you again! read more

Everything went well! From initial contact, menu review, changes, to final presentation. Passion for Catering is one of my top two caterers, especially when C-suite is at the site. I have relied on Priscilla and her team for over 3 years. And each time they have come forward with an amazing presentation of food, competitive pricing and just incredibly wonderful service. Recently, we had a 50th anniversary celebration, and again, Priscilla and her team outdid themselves from décor to food. I highly recommend passion for catering for corporate events. read more

Wow... Hosted an event with about ~115 people. While I was unfamiliar with ordering food for a large number of people, Priscilla helped recommend the amount of food for the requirements, "I don't want to run out of food during the event" and "we love desserts". Another side note: I was catering snacks rather than a meal. I ended up ordering - tri-tip - mashed potatoes - roasted veggies - assorted bread - lemon garlic salmon - veggie garlic pasta - Greek salad - dinner rolls - fresh fruit display - fresh fruit tarts - petit fours - gluten free mini cupcakes: red velvet, chocolate, vanilla, lemon I appreciate that Priscilla suggested to halve the salmon fillets to have double the number of salmon pieces for guests to have snack portions rather than meal portions. Although mini cupcakes were not listed on her menu, she was able to provide them. Also, you can ask her about gluten free desserts. You can have more than just macarons. Compliments I received... "Did you make the food? The salmon and tri-tip were so juicy." "This is better than most wedding food." 2 people inquired who I used to cater for the event. I received general praise that the food was good. I received explicit praise that the petit fours and fruit tarts were good. The mashed potatoes were thick but good. Passion for catering's setup and tear down went smoothly. It was maybe 20-30 minutes of setup and 10 minutes of tear down. I appreciate that they were able to provide decor for the food tables. They also provided some takeout containers for us to take leftover food. 10/10 would cater from them again. read more

I don't even know where to begin... Priscilla absolutely blew me away! My graduation party was a total surprise, planned by my brother, and the food was one of the biggest highlights of the day. Every single dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and clearly made with so much love and care. You can tell she puts her heart into her work. From the small details to the bold flavors, everything was thoughtful and intentional. Guests are still talking about how amazing the food was ...and trust me, we're a tough crowd to impress! Not only is she incredibly talented, but she's also kind, professional, and easy to work with. If you're looking for a caterer who brings soul to the table and takes pride in her craft, Passion for Catering is it! I'm so grateful to have experienced her work and will absolutely be recommending her to everyone I know. Thank you for making such a special day even more unforgettable. You truly outdid yourself! Priscilla was SO awesome!!!!! She worked with me for my budget, and the BBQ sliders I ordered for the Baby Shower I hosted was PERFECT! They didn't just taste amazing, they LOOKED incredible! And she packed the BBQ sauce separately so the sliders stayed crisp and didn't get soggy. That takes some foresight to think through! I can tell she was detail oriented. After working with her, I understand why her catering company is named passion, because you can clearly tell she cares so much about the work she does. I so appreciate her thoughtfulness, and I'm so excited I found a good caterer in the East Bay! Highly recommend! *Late Review* I had high expectations for this catering company. Unfortunately, I had reached out to Priscilla many times before and she pretty much ghosted me. Then my manager reached out and she literally worked with her to setup a catering venue for the same company and venue I had tried to scheduled for. The sad part was I had high expectations because of the great reviews. Not the case. Now for the food...the food was not good. It was as if it had sat out all night and delivered in the late morning. The display (flowers) were dried out and the food was also. I was embarrassed to present this to my Executives as well as all the employees. I really wanted to give her a chance but never again. read more

I reached out to Passion for Catering because I wanted to celebrate the completion of my pharmacy residency program. They were prompt in replying and asked me questions to clarify what I wanted in detail (e.g., amount of each food item, flavors for drinks, etc.). Frankly, I am grateful that they were able to accommodate my requests as I booked them last minute. With the turnaround that they had, I was surprised on how well the catering had turned out. The team notified me that the whole roasted pig (lechon) that I had requested may pose some issues; however, they kept me posted with updates and the team delivered the whole lechon as requested. My celebration was a success as my guests enjoyed the food and drinks. To-go containers were also provided, which my guests appreciated. I will be sure to book Passion for Catering again in the future. read more

Priscilla is the best catering company I have found by far in the East Bay! I've had her for my son's baby shower and also for my daughter's memorial. Her statement is to make her customers friends and that's exactly what it feels like. After I had my son, she brought me a charcuterie box of goodies. I was warmed by her thoughtfulness and kind gesture. She would invite us to pop ups which were a great opportunity for us to try her food before our big day and she never disappoints. Her smoked turkey is really good, her Chicken Florentine sauce is amazing and her tri tip is really delicious and tender. My husband raves about her lobster rolls and her seafood boil is awesome too! My family loves her meatballs; either flavor is a hit! Her fruits are always fresh and in season. Her charcuterie boards and tables are always so pretty and delicious - if I could, I'd only order this hehe. Her displays are always breathtaking -- you can tell she cares about the details. Her catering services come with the whole package; you don't really have to go anywhere else for your needs. For both events, my family has requested her number, her contact info, her IG page wondering if she would service outside of the east bay. She is highly coveted in my family. We try to create family gatherings just so we can book her haha. Even the biggest critics in my family love her work. What stands out the most, though, is Priscilla is really down to earth and accommodating. She is kind and patient through the process. You can tell she is a hard worker and makes her food with love. If you cook, you'll understand what I mean. She takes time to make sure everything is good. She cares about what's attached to her name. When I lost my daughter, I was looking around for a certain caterer because my husband wanted a certain kind of food. I ended up asking Priscilla because I trusted her and she replied back on short notice. It was even on her heart to throw in desserts (which everyone loved and left no crumbs) for me and she made sure we had plenty. Unfortunately, I moved out of the east bay, but I'd be willing to host events in the bay just to have her cater me I always tell my husband, I'd like to book Priscilla before she gets famous and out of reach for us common folk lol. But knowing Priscilla, she will probably stay in touch with those she has made friends with and cater when possible. She's that good! I pray God continues to bless her business and her abundance in these uncertain times. She's so kind to people, it's only right that it comes back to her ten-fold. read more

From beginning to end, Priscilla has been such a joy to work with! During our first call, we had a chat about what I was thinking for the party, then when I changed the menu a few weeks later, she was totally understanding. The ordering process and back and forth communication was seamless. The day of the event, our order was delivered on time and in bags that kept the meals warm and the salad chilled until our guests arrived. (We'll be returning the bags to them soon - I was just grateful that they were willing to lend them to us. I ordered various BBQ boxed meals for a birthday party at the park, and it was a major hit! Everyone loved the food! So much so that, turns out I had ordered way too many because of some no shows, BUT all of the boxes were gone at the end of the party! From the salads, to the kids meals, to the salmon BBQ, vegan BBQ, and meat BBQ boxes - ALL GONE! Everyone was excited to be able to bring some home. Thanks for a great catering experience, Priscilla and team! read more

Passion for Catering is PHENOMENAL! I had the honor of working with Priscilla to cater some charcuterie boxes I planned to hand out to guests at my drive by birthday celebration. She was incredibly prompt in her responses, listened to my preferences, was very patient, and had amazing ideas too. The boxes she prepared were gorgeous and I received so many compliments from my drive by guests. They felt spoiled because the boxes were so beautiful. Priscilla worked with me on pricing, which was very reasonable and I didn't have to sacrifice on food quality at all. She is so generous that she made me a few extra boxes at no additional cost and even made me a special birthday box and some mini cakes as a gift to me. So kind! Honestly, beyond the delicious food, the best thing about Passion for Catering is Priscilla. As soon as I started working with her, I immediately knew she was hard working and has a heart of gold. It has been a couple weeks since my celebration and I keep wishing I had another event to plan so I can work with her again. I'm so happy I found Passion for Catering and will be seeking Priscilla's services for future catering needs. read more

Priscilla was great and offers a variety of menu options and cuisines. She catered my New Orleans celebration in Danville with approprirate authenticity. Her servers were very diligent and kept a large party of 60 right on track. The food was great. Priscilla made numerous adjustments and tolerated my tendency to be "high maintenance". Her fruit plates are colorful, plentiful and got rave reviews. I am sorry I didn't order dessert from her. Highly reccomend her. read more

Covid unfortunately cancelled my Wedding in May 2020. I was a mess trying to replan and have a memorable and safe celebration. We were able to change our Plan A & B wedding to Plan C, which was a small and intimate backyard Air Bnb Wedding in Fremont in November 2020. I was so excited to meet Priscilla through my mom, who had met her at another event that Priscilla catered. Priscilla helped us plan everything for our menu, our wedding cake and was even able to help us rent tables, chairs and heat lamps for our outdoor wedding. Her food was amazing and she presented everything so beautifully for us. We were busy taking pictures with our wedding party and I walked inside to see such a breathtaking display. We are already trying to plan the next time Priscilla and her team can cater for our family. Thank you again for helping make our Fairytale Pandemic Wedding so memorable and special! read more
