Henry was so easy to work with, my wife and I were wondering if we missed any important planning steps. Haha. It took just a few emails to get a quote, secure the date, and finalize the menu. Henry and his son showed up at the park exactly when he said he'd be there, and the food was cooked on premise, exactly on time. Henry sources all the ingredients from Costco and buys everything needed the day before. I'm a huge fan of all things Kirkland. Always solid quality and value. We had a party for 50 people and had Grillaxin provide catering. The process for our reservation and creating the menu was great! The problem came down to the service the day of our event. We paid for the grill to be brought in and all the cooking to be done on site with meat and two veggies for sides. We asked for corn on the cob and asparagus. Our total was $800. Ok, fine. Also, tip is expected on top of that. When the person showed up on the day of the event (not the owner, someone else, which we weren't told it was going to be someone else until the day before) they had two bunches of asparagus and 12 ears of corn for 50 people!!! The veggies are the cheap part! Don't scrimp there! Come on!!! The meat was great, no problem with the setup, but it was definitely not enough food. At the last minute we had to scramble and call a local BBQ place to get additional veggies and sides because Grillaxin didn't plan correctly. I also realized we could have ordered meat platters of ribs, brisket, etc for WAY less than Grillaxin charged. Also, Grillaxin provided no serving dishes. The person said we could "buy" serving trays they just so happened to have with them at a way inflated cost, but if I'm paying a premium for a BBQ service, throw in the tin foil pans. At the end of the day, the food they brought was fine, but it was way over-priced for what it was, and there wasn't even close to enough of it. Won't be using them again. read more

Originally I contacted Henry for a wedding rehearsal dinner. Covid changed numerous wedding plans but Henry was able to work with every one of those changes. When he says you get to relax, he means it. The wedding day was hectic but all I had to do was show him the prep and cook area and he handled the rest. We used Grillaxin for our sons 1st birthday. Peter our grill master was awesome and on time. He set up and cleaned up within the time frame. He was very friendly and bbq'd our menu on point. This review is based on a couple things. We had asked for chicken breast but chicken thighs were brought instead and condiments for our hot dogs were forgotten. Only reason why it was an issue is some people that were in attendance didnt eat dark meat or red meats. Communication was not very good as I had to keep emailing to confirm and finalize. I understand a business can get busy but I think responding in a timely manner shows professionalism. Henry the owner did personally give me a call and settled our problem and apologize. As for food review I give 4 stars. Bbq corn dogs were a huge hit and the kids and adults ate them all up. The tri tip was probably the best tri tip we ever had. Juicy and tender and flavorful. We narrowed it down based on reviews and then decided to ultimately go with grillaxin for numerous reasons. The price was very similar to some competitors if not a little less and they bbq for you on site bringing their own grill so food is hot and ready and having someone grilling right there definitely adds to the atmosphere.
