I followed up with another email on 5/13 with no response. UPDATE Dave called me back personally today-he explained that they've been swamped & he said sorry for not getting back to me sooner. He has the wine & I can pick it up tomorrow! I love that they are helping local businesses during this time, and really I'd give more stars if I could get someone to respond to my question. I'll defiantly order again, mistakes happen but it's great when they are fixed! Thanks Dave!

She laughed at and corrected me during our brief conversation, making me uncomfortable and quick to move on to another caterer. I am sure she had no ill intentions but as someone who has worked in customer service for seven years this was an unacceptable way to be treated. It came across as rude and thoughtless. I am giving this two stars instead of one because I hate to poorly effect this catering company's ratings because of a phone call, but I was very put off by this interaction.

Which made a huge difference in terms of the flow of the event! Sidney was so easy to work with and flexible as headcount and menu had to change constantly. He just catered our wedding in March and was fantastic from start to Finish! I first called him during Christmas season and he was extremely busy. I understood this fact and called him back after the new year. I didn't expect him to call me back as its my responsibility and my wedding. He was attentive and great from that moment on! He met us in San Francisco at our venue and worked through every logistical detail since we had to flip the layout twice to accommodate the number of people we had in a small venue. As for the food, I have yet to hear anything negative and have had so many comments about how it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. i have had two friends contact me for his info for their wedding already and do not think it will be the last. We had stuffed chicken breasts, pasta, salad, green beans, focaccia, and scallop potatoes. Not to mention 5 appetizers that our guests were raving about and said they just kept bringing more and more. Our venue did not have a kitchen so everything had to be precooked and i cant believe how well it kept up and how great it turned out. He is affordable and worth more than he charges! His staff was friendly and very helpful. Bartenders were energetic and poured great drinks. My advice, it's worth the effort to get a hold of him, so if you catch him at a busy time have a little patience and take responsibility and follow up with him yourself.

Both my wife and I can't help but rave about the quality of service and food that was provided. Skip and his staff are without a doubt the best in the business. From the beginning he sat us down to have a sampling of his dishes. We initially preferred particular items on the menu. After he reviewed our choices he suggested some pairings which may compliment our selections. Boy was he right. Misto salad and chilled asparagus. Absolut! Pesto fusili, the asiago potatos, salmon w/ mango salsa, and the California Cordon Blu. The attendee's of our wedding were critical foodies. Some who have spent the entire summer attending various weddings. They were all blown away saying the nothing came close to the food they had at our wedding. The staff was great attending to every detail. Skip's company was completely full service. From the linens (which he helped us choose in color), to the flatware, glasses, coffee, china, glasses. ALL OF IT! We can honestly say we will be repeat customers for a long time to come. Our daughter's 18th birthday and graduation party will be the next even we'll be calling Skip to do. Since the wedding two days ago, some of our guest have been inquiring where his restaurant Girasole in Pleasanton is located. Believe me we'll be paying him a visit soon. I saw California Cookie Company at The Box's Artisan Food Fair in January. There were a lot of…read morecookie vendors, but this one caught my eye. I got two cookies: the Boardwalk Bananza and the El Cap Crumbler. They were delicious! The Boardwalk Bananza had a really nice butterscotch flavor, along with brow butter notes, that paired well with the gentle banana flavor. It also had a banana chip that was a nice textural contrast as the cookie was soft. The El Cap Crumbler is a cookies and cream cookie, which had a lot of Oreos and white chocolate chips. This was my favorite one out of the two. It's reminiscent of dunking Oreos in milk, but in a complete cookie form. Though crumbly, the cookie also had a nice soft texture. The cookies are inspired by the natural and architectural beauty of California. For now, they're making rounds at various farmers markets and festivals around the Bay. Zesty Veggie Pasta Salad - olives, feta cheese, cherry tomatoes and a zesty dressing. It was okay - good if you are vegetarian. Lemon Grilled Chicken - The chicken itself was moist and the flavor was good but it tasted ore like tomato then lemon. 4 Cheese Ravioli in Marinara Sauce - By far the best dish in the tasting. Good ravioli and a nice filling, went well with the marinara sauce. Scotty's Smoked Salmon - I was the only one that tried this dish and i really wanted to like it but I am not a big fish person so this was just okay for me. Scotty seems like a nice guy and sounded like he really enjoys cooking and the catering business. He said that they have competitive pricing, him and his team can help you plan your event. Food and equipment delivery are included in his pricing. He delivered our tasting with paper plates and plastic forks and paper napkin. However he mentioned that if you wanted you could get table linens, napkins, china plates and cutlery at an additional charge ($5 per person for plate setting). Scotty's team brought in tables, chairs, tablecloths, chafing dishes, and everything else we needed. It felt like eating at a nice restaurant, even though we were on the sidelines of the softball field! He prepared delicious tri-tip, chicken parmesan, garlic mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables, salad, and bread. Everything was so scrumptious, but the highlight of the meal was definitely the garlic mashed potatoes! They were heavenly! I have been receiving compliments for the last month on how awesome our rehearsal dinner was, and that is in large part to Scotty's Catering. I can't wait to have another event so we can use him again. :)
