I've had food catered from Kitchen Woori twice, once as a guest and now as a host. Both times have been excellent! All the food was absolutely delicious and they had such a great choice of vegetarian options. I would recommend everything I ordered, and I want to try more of their offerings in the future. I really appreciated my communication with Mary, who worked with me to suggest options in my budget and also was flexible as our event date changed. The ordering process was done via email. Once I placed my order, I actually picked it up from the store across the street, Woori Market, since I had an evening event. They provided plates, utensils, and labels for the food as well. It all went smoothly and I'm very happy with how everything turned out! read more

Kitchen Woori is absolutely AMAZING!!!! I ordered a large order for 100+ employees at our hospital, and they were incredibly accommodating when it came to dietary restrictions and labelling the containers. Ordering and communicating was easy, and they even helped me load & push the cart up a ramp. Packaging was extremely organized AND their food was delicious and a huge hit. It's no wonder they are frequently booked out :) Definitely inquire ahead of time, especially for large orders. Highly recommend, thank you so much! read more

Kitchen Woori catered my backyard wedding in Millbrae last weekend. Everything about the experience was exceptional. Mary was incredibly kind, helpful, responsive and accomodating. Everything went seamless and they were prompt setting up and cleaned up well. Everyone said it was the best wedding food they've ever had. They provided plates, silverware, to-go boxes. I very highly recommend having them cater your next party. I know I'll be back! Thank you, Mary! read more

Kitchen Woori officially made me the hero of the party! I ordered their kalbi Korean BBQ to bring to a get-together, and WOW -- they absolutely delivered. They were so accommodating with my request, had everything ready right when I needed it, and the food was chef's kiss delicious. We're talking perfectly marinated, juicy kalbi that disappeared faster than I could put down the platter. One minute I walked in with the star of the show... the next minute, gone. Every single person asked where I got it from -- and I proudly said: Kitchen Woori! The staff were warm and friendly, and you can tell they really care about quality and customers. They communicated via email exceptionally well! Don't sleep on this spot... they might just turn you into the guest everyone wants to invite to future parties! Highly recommend -- five stars, two thumbs up, and all the happy food dance emojis. read more

I went to a catered lunch by Kitchen Woori and the food was SO GOOD. They offer tons of vegan options and everything is well labelled. I tried the vegan kimchi fried rice, cucumber salad, mung bean pancakes, and braised tofu. Everything was extremely flavorful, not a single bite I didn't enjoy. One of the best catered events I have ever been to. read more

This is one of our favorite catering businesses. They are amazingly responsive, delicious and always on time. I have received so many compliments from people whenever we cater from them. Not only they offer a wide variety of selection on the menu, they also bring little signs detailing ingredients of each dish including whether the dishes are vegan or not. The veggies are always seasoned perfectly, and meat options are always tasty. The menu doesn't include a price, so you fill out a form online and they will send you an invoice. You can then adjust from there. Highly recommended for catering! read more

We hired Mary and her team to cater our wedding and they went above and beyond in every way. From the start, Mary was incredibly responsive to emails and so helpful throughout the entire ordering process. I reached out to quite a few vendors throughout the wedding process and Mary was by far the easiest to work with. She made everything feel seamless and stress-free. And the food? Absolutely amazing. Our guests could not stop raving about it--especially the braised tofu, which multiple people specifically called out as their favorite. My sister-in-law was genuinely disappointed to learn they only did catering and weren't an actual restaurant she could visit regularly! Mary also added such a thoughtful touch by asking about our wedding aesthetic and tailoring her signage to match the look and feel of our day. Even the disposable serving materials were high-quality and looked so elegant--we really appreciated the attention to detail. We had barely any leftovers, which is always a good sign. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. If you're looking for a caterer who's professional, thoughtful, and serves absolutely delicious food--look no further. We feel so lucky to have had Mary as part of our wedding day! read more

I first learned about this catering service from another event I attended, and I decided to have them cater for own of my own events. I chose Kimchi, Seasoned Broccoli, Veggie Japchae, Seafood & Green Onion Pancakes, BBQ Short Rib, and Korean style Popcorn Chicken as our catering dishes. They were very accommodating when I wanted to add/remove certain items to fit the number of people and budget for my event. Once the order was finalized, picking up the food was also quite easy. (If you decide to deliver, there may be a delivery fee). Due to it being Halloween, we received some sauces in the form of syringes along with decorative spiders. The food was all delicious and wiped out quickly by our group. This is one of my favorite catering places and local businesses in SF! read more

Kitchen Woori is my dream caterer. They offered a consultation for my menu, which was excellent. The food was amazing, as was the set-up, down to the signs indicating ingredients and potential allergens for each item. They also had superior-quality vegan and vegetarian options compared to what is typical. The customer service is superlative. I found them and took a chance based on the positive Yelp reviews, which were spot on. I highly recommend them! read more

I have to admit, it made me a little sad when my husband said Kitchen Woori was some of the best Korean food he's ever had--especially since I cook for him all the time! But I suppose that's a good sign of how great the food really was. Kitchen Woori was incredibly communicative throughout the whole process, and as someone who just spent a month in Korea, I can confidently say the food was truly on par. The spread was beautiful, and I'll definitely be ordering from them again! read more

Woori has catered two of our events and will, decidedly, be catering all future events. They have an extensive menu that accommodates various food sensitivities and even provide labels that identify all the ingredients and possible food sensitivities. Mary & Kitchen Woori were incredible in helping us to host our 8th grade graduation dinner at our school for 130 parents and kids. We were looking for something unique and different from the standard sandwiches and salads for a meeting and Kitchen Woori did not disappoint! We had a positive experience catering food from Kitchen Woori for my daughter's first birthday in 2023, so we decided to cater from them again for my son's first birthday. However, this time our experience was quite disappointing compared to the first time. The popcorn chicken was hard and dry, the bulgogi had a gamy taste, and the japchae was soggy. We had so much leftover food after our party. The two stars are for Mary, who was helpful and easy to work with before our event. Sadly, we will not be catering from Kitchen Woori again. read more

Kitchen Woori did a wonderful job catering my birthday. I ordered 25 deluxe lunchboxes which comes with two mains, japchae, rice, and 6 side dishes. There are many options to choose from. I also ordered a tray of kimchi pancake and veggie gimbap. Everything was delicious! Everyone enjoyed the food. The portions are quite large on the deluxe lunchbox. It's such a good deal! Each lunchbox had a nice sleeve with the menu. The staff was super nice and patient with me through the ordering process. The delivery was very smooth too. The Food When my wife and I were looking for catering, we checked several options. Based on the presentation and food variety, we decided to go with Kitchen Woori, and we are very glad we did! We looked through their extensive menu, and selected the item we wanted. But we wanted to reach out to them to see if they had any recommendations. They were quite responsive and helpful, usually will get back within the day if not less. We finalized our order with - House Salad - Tri Color Rice Balls (Tuna, Beef, Spam) - Japchae - Fishcake Gimbap - Beef Bulgogi - Korean Popcorn Chicken (Spicy, Sweet and Sour) - Seafood and Green Onion Pancake - Garlic Butter Shrimp - Sliced Pork Shank (Jokbal) All the food was very delicious, and all our friends really enjoyed it! Their Tri Color Rice Balls were quite unique with the different taste of Tuna, Beef, and Spam. I also quite like their Popcorn Chicken and Garlic Butter Shrimp. But the favorite among friends was the Sliced Pork Shank. It was well flavored and tender. The Miscellaneous Kitchen Woori was very communicative in ensuring the catering order was well prepared. They also provide extra service such as Set Up & Food Runner, which we opted for. I think the service was well worth it. The staff and service was very professional and on time for the set up. After the service, they also will tear down the set up, and provide containers for the leftover food. They were also very helpful in reconfiguring the food arrangement when needed (we were very thankful for that)! We don't cater food much, but Kitchen Woori provided a very good experience with their food and service. We highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for catering in the future. read more

5/5 stars hands down and 0 complaints. The food was just divine and there were 0 complaints (my coworkers always have something to complain about with the catered food options). What a great experience working with Kitchen Woori. I emailed over the weekend asking for a quote for an upcoming event, and I received a prompt and courteous response from Mary. I had such a great experience ordering catering from Kitchen Woori! I had ordered several large trays for my daughter's birthday and the food was amazing. The trays were SO much bigger than expected-- so glad I bought take-out containers for everyone to bring extra food home lol. Communication via email was great and Mary was always very quick to answer any questions. They delivered to my event space in the Peninsula which did cost a fee, but really saved us the time to set up everything else. Mary called me when they arrived and they were in & out within 10 minutes! I had no idea they also provided tongs for serving, plates, and chopsticks. All of the food was also labeled very nicely and included the ingredients list for those with allergies. Will definitely order from here again in the future! read more

"You'll understand someday. You're my four seasons." - BTS What a wonderful Korean addition to the Fillmore. I mean I had mad cravings for Korean Soul food and wanted the real Seoul! Bangtan Boys to the rescue! So after my Judo class in Japantown, I decide to not go the Japanese route today, which is usually my lunch after Dōjō. That's when Korean cravings hit me. Not even sure the last time I had Korean but it still got me drooling. Once again, thanks to all the daring Yelpers who try new restaurants and on that *hot new businesses* list, pops Kitchen Woori! " If you push, I will fall. But be the one to help me up. " - BTS Kitchen Woori is within walking distance from the center of Japantown, so I walk on over. Located on busy Fillmore St., about a block from Geary. I enter and I'm warmly greeted. Not sure if it was my Suga's pink hair, or perhaps, my Jungkook's groomed eyebrows, but whatever the reason she was super nice. I pretty much knew I wanted the Beef Bulgogi Lunch Box, which includes Banchan (side dishes), Kimchee, and Steamed Rice. Prices are decent. There's an outdoor area to sit, but I decided to take-out and walk back to Japantown to eat. After a short wait my order is ready, packed nicely, and she even tossed in some extra Korean goodies for me. Hey, she wink at me? Like I said I think it was my pink hair. Aw, just so sweet of her. I head to the pavilion. After a few pics I dig in, face first into the marinated beef... oh my so moist and flavorful! Rice fluffy and the homemade Kimchee awakens the Seoul! "You're the one who's going to turn my history into memory." - BTS In the end, I highly recommend Kitchen Woori. A legit Korean cafe, that's hipper than the older sister kind. A tiny section if you're into buying Kimchee in a jar or other Korean goodies. That said, I was only there for Bulgogi and girly-man grooming tips;) "I've never seen the end of me, but I'd like to think you'd be there. In the early '00s, when our kids were going to Claire Lillienthal Korean Immersion School, Woori-Chip across the street was the choice of contrarian parents who preferred the kimchi to that at First Korean Market, our usual go-to spot. I was interested when they opened a restaurant but the menu didn't inspire me to forsake my usual (Brothers'). But with the takeout lunch combos, and streetwise tables to enjoy them, Kitchen Woori has found their sweet spot. My spicy pork was hot, generous and well flavored and came with 4 panchan, rice and a bonus portion of japjae plus a package of kim (dried seaweed for snacking). Really hit the spot on a perfect spring day and the japjae will become my dinner. Service is friendly and efficient and you can also buy prepackaged dishes from the cooler next to the cashier where you order. I was sorely tempted by a tub of marinated raw crab, but I'm getting on a plane in the morning and feared my seat mates might not appreciate it. read more

Riddle. How do you try food from a restaurant without walking in for takeout or ordering a delivery? Walk across the street to their sister store, look at their cooked food section, grab a box, and go! My bento box (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=KVu26lQb1yjlpL_YzbCwlA&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) became my dinner since I had already bought lunch prior to coming here; loved that there was a variety of foods (5) with the stir fried Kim Chee being my favorite. Don't expect a Japanese cuisine bento as this is a kitchen making Korean food. The Donkatsu was okay as the meat seemed premade or prepackaged. The fish cakes were my least favorite. The label (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=cCFJpzlnUxeJRb8hKaFUVQ&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) is very thorough in describing the food and ingredients. They have a menu posted outside next to the front door so you can study before deciding what to buy. This is a take and go spot as there are no tables or eating areas inside or outside of this store. Might consider getting a doonbu, Korean tofu soup, to go my next visit here. read more

We've been regulars at Woori Market (across the street) for some time now. And we've had some of their to go food options, which are made here. This was our first time going directly to Kitchen Woori. We tried the Japchae with tofu and the Beef Bimbimbop. The japchae was tasty, with glass noodles, mushrooms, red peppers, and some other veggies tossed in. The tofu had been marinated in some savory sauce and had a lightly crisp/firm texture. It was a huge portion and hit the spot for me. The bimbimbop had marinated beef that was a little sweeter than we'd like. Other than that, the veggies included were fresh and included a nice variety. They also threw in some banchan with our dishes, our favorites were the kimchi and spicy fishcakes. And a free kimchi pancake was included, which was a bit soggy but it was a nice gesture from the restaurant. Other things to note about Woori Kitchen- their hours are 10-3, so mostly a to go lunch place. There's 1 table inside but that's the only seating here. We took our food up to Alta Plaza park, which is just 5 or so blocks north. Oh and if you happen to be nearby and they are closed, you might be able to find some premade food from here at the grocery store across the street (but it won't be as fresh as if you got it here, of course). Overall, we feel this is the best Korean fast food/to go in the neighborhood. We're looking forward to coming back and trying more things (lots of great vegetarian options!). read more
