I sent a request via Yelp app and Marsha suggested I send an email. This was on a Sunday and the event was in 2 weeks ! When I didn't hear anything via email or a call I called the office and spoke to Ben who apologized for the lack of communication and he would respond via email, which he did a few hours later. After several emails from Ben we were able to settle on a menu in just a few days! We were looking for a Hawaiian fusion themed menu and Ben & his staffto came up with a great menu. W Some of our many items that was a huge hit with our guests were Vietnamese vegan rolls, miso glazed black code, a toss green salad with Edamame and Asian dressing, crab deviled eggs, scallops spoon, chimichuri steak crostini, short ribs skewers, Asian style lamb meatballs, and dessert of fruit cups and mini cupcakes were perfect. There was a few dishes that wasn't as successful but overall everyone enjoyed the food. We had pre arranged to have someone to meet the catering staff early for setup but due to unknown delays they did show up until an hour before the service started which also ment they were rushed to setup the food but they did a good job to get the hot and cold foods setup before the end of the service. Overall they did a good job and the food excellent but arriving late to the event and poor timing to replenish empty dishes was disappointing also dessert wasn't served until most guest departed. We enjoyed working with Ben and appreciated the communication once it was established.

Chef Mai and her team did an amazing job of catering our 90-person wedding…read more * Food: Chef Mai created a delicious, personalized, Asian fusion menu for us. Dinner was buffet-style, and so many people went up for seconds and told us how good the food was. * Execution: We had an extremely tight timeline, thanks to the fact that our venue, a museum, didn't close to the public until 5pm. Her team kept everything running smoothly and finished cleaning up well before we needed to be out. * Value: We interviewed 13 (!) wedding caterers. Chef Mai was the only one whose proposal came in under our budget. She went above and beyond to make it work, even arranging to pick up our rentals to save on the delivery cost. Finally, Chef Mai is just a lovely, considerate person. We were taking photos during all of cocktail hour, so we didn't expect to have a chance to try our appetizers, but we found samples of them waiting at our seats when we sat down for dinner. We saw her personally wheeling our wedding cake out to make sure it got to the cake cutting in good shape. And when we badly underestimated how much ice we needed for the bar, she handled it herself so we could enjoy our wedding and only let us know about it the next day. I'm so glad I reached out to Mai's Place Catering - I almost skipped over them because of the lack of a website. They're a hidden gem!

The best way to describe Christina at Le's Kitchen is that they're the greatest "Yes, and" caterer…read moreyou could ask for. For us, we were very set on having Chinese (or at least East Asian) cuisine for our wedding. Le's is one of the few catering options available in the Bay Area. Most caterers we talked to gave us limitations, said they couldn't customize things, but Le's was special. Christina made us feel truly special and carefully listened to us talk about the customizations that we wanted. She would add in her own suggestions and expertise into the discussion, and told us when something would have been too challenging. The final meal that we got was breathtaking, with many of our guests exclaiming that it was the best wedding meal they've ever eaten. In fact, some even said it was some of the best food they ever had. Everyone, from relatives from China to Americans born and raised in Ohio thought the meal was brilliant. But Christina was never afraid of any culinary challenge, and would work diligently on researching and perfecting new recipes to serve us. In terms of recipe development, Christina was nothing short of professional and a perfectionist. Two things stood out specifically. First, was that we also asked if Le's could cater boba for us as well. We already liked the Milk Tea that they demo'd at the initial tasting, but we asked for two very specific drinks in addition to the standard Milk tea. We requested an orange fruit tea, and a sesame milk drink. Christina iterated on both recipes, and came back to us with a tasting. My wife and I, as boba connoisseurs, had extremely nitpicky feedback to give, and she took all of it with grace. Every single of of the drinks were improved to exactly what we had imagined, by the time of our wedding, and the boba catering was genuinely perfect. The second thing that stood out is that we asked for a particularly experimental dish as an hors d'oeuvres, notably a youtiao + shrimp paste dish that was inspired by shrimp toast. Christina told us that this would be a challenge, especially as she would have to source the youtiao, and then actually develop the dish. During our second tasting, she came up with two completely different versions for us to sample. We chose one, but also gave some feedback about what we liked or disliked of each . What came out at the wedding was neither of the options, but something incredible and better than anything we had imagined possible. She had taken the dish back to the kitchen, and worked on the dish until perfection. If you get a chance to ask for a tasting, I implore you to ask for that appetizer. Overall, if you are looking for a Chinese or Vietnamese cuisine for your wedding, you honestly can't go wrong with Le's kitchen.

We didn't get a chance to chat as directly with the other staff, but heard they were so kind and lovely. We would 100% recommend booking LKC for your wedding.

This was my first time planning a party for 60 people, and I wanted to get it right. I researched a ton of different cuisines, but ultimately came back to City Smoke House because of their flawless track record. Honestly, I wish I hadn't wasted so much time exploring other options because City exceeded even my highest expectations. The party was at a nightclub in the Castro, and the delivery was perfectly on time. The customer service 1000%. They even provided custom cards for each dish so guests knew exactly what they were eating, a small but thoughtful touch that people really appreciated. We ordered brisket, pulled pork, chicken, smoked portobello mushrooms, barbecue sauces, mac & cheese, potato salad, and tossed salad. With an open bar, I didn't expect the food to steal the show, but it did. Friends and family were raving all night, , "Where is this food from?" The next day, my phone was blowing up with texts about the brisket, the mac & cheese, the works. (For the record: I'm extremely picky about mac & cheese, and City nailed it.) My cousin from the Midwest said that the portobello mushrooms were his favorite. The portions were so generous we had enough to host a next-day gathering to enjoy the leftovers, though the mac & cheese disappeared the night of the party so order extra! In a city like San Francisco, where great BBQ is rare, I only wish City Smoke House had a brick-and-mortar location I could frequent. This is a family-owned business that delivers in every possible way, and I'm beyond grateful to them for making my milestone celebration unforgettable. I hope they stay booked and busy. THANK YOU BRIAN and team City Smoke House.

I ended up going with the beef, and it immediately satisfied my craving for a quick and delicious grab-and-go lunch. The beef tasted fresh, and the flavors were bold and robust. I also added the Korean soy garlic fried chicken, and it paired surprisingly well with the kimbap. The fried chicken wasn't quite as crispy as I hoped, but the flavor definitely made up for it.
