We hired Henry for a birthday party for a group of family and friends (around 70 people, including…read morekids), at the park this weekend, and he did a fantastic job! It was so convenient to have someone else take care of all the shopping, prepping, and cooking. Our guests loved the food. Many took home business cards. Henry was so easy to work with, my wife and I were wondering if we missed any important planning steps. Haha. It took just a few emails to get a quote, secure the date, and finalize the menu. Henry and his son showed up at the park exactly when he said he'd be there, and the food was cooked on premise, exactly on time. Henry sources all the ingredients from Costco and buys everything needed the day before. I'm a huge fan of all things Kirkland. Always solid quality and value. I've been pretty lazy about writing Yelp reviews lately. Figured I'd write one for Grillaxin since many of the other reviews are years old, and the website seems to be defunct. I think they're more active on Instagram now.

There were not one but various major issues with the service. 1. The amount of food being served was limited and all the guests had to wait for long periods of time between the servings. Many of the food items like roti and paratha were not even served. 2. We witnessed a lot of rudeness from the staff while interacting with family and friends, which is very unexpected since one doesn't expect this from someone in service industry, let alone basic human manners. 3. Coming to major part, we had 2 main desserts that we primarily had in the menu while they added 1 more complimentary dessert to the menu. However on the day, I could only see 1 complimentary dessert being served, that too when we asked where the desserts are. Me, being the bride, never saw the other 2 desserts, that I was so much looking forward to. This was way more disappointing that things promised were not delivered. As a host and bride, I was very disappointed with the management as things were slow and everyone in the staff looking clueless on what to be served next, clearly showing lack of management and service. Honestly, for me, they don't even deserve single star review, as instead of acting on the feedback that we were giving them on the day, they chose to be even more rude to us, which shows the most unprofessional service company. Overall, realistically, I would rate 0 stars and would recommend others to run away from this company if you want to enjoy your party/celebration.

Extremely Disappointed…read more People reading this review, take this seriously if you are looking for a decent service. I hired them for an event and review I am adding here is based on the feedback from the guests. What went well: easy to connect with them and get the quotes, responsiveness and decor. What was disappointing: Drinks: Though they claim they create their own syrups, I was disappointed with majority of the drinks they served except Golden era. We had 5 drink options from them and all of them were mid Service: poor, from not providing enough food, to filling water, cold food, not able to move heaters when asked, picking up broken glass on the floor . My event was 60 people with 6 people serving and still basics were hard for this team. Food and Desert quality poor: They call themselves a premium catering company, unfortunately its not correct. From serving extremely salty tikkis, to very basic entrees, to burnt jalebis, cold food (even though we had chef onsite) , it was an overall very disappointing experience for host and guest.

They looked organized, but they had to go find my order and I had to show them my email receipts because they didn't have my order on file...took a little longer but that was fine. They also gave out flowers for Mother's Day which was super nice! When we arrived home I unpacked & cleaned everything, and noticed I didn't get a Chardonnay, so I emailed Cabana Dave's right away to check to see what to do. I followed up with another email on 5/13 with no response. UPDATE Dave called me back personally today-he explained that they've been swamped & he said sorry for not getting back to me sooner. He has the wine & I can pick it up tomorrow! I love that they are helping local businesses during this time, and really I'd give more stars if I could get someone to respond to my question. I'll defiantly order again, mistakes happen but it's great when they are fixed! Thanks Dave!

She laughed at and corrected me during our brief conversation, making me uncomfortable and quick to move on to another caterer. I am sure she had no ill intentions but as someone who has worked in customer service for seven years this was an unacceptable way to be treated. It came across as rude and thoughtless. I am giving this two stars instead of one because I hate to poorly effect this catering company's ratings because of a phone call, but I was very put off by this interaction.

I called Ivy telling her what happened and she was extremely understanding, sweet and professional. She delivered the stuff she'd already made. And made sure she didn't charge me for the rest of the stuff. It was very last minute and my apologies to her for the cancellation. I really wish I could go ahead with the party cuz my guests would've definitely enjoyed the variety of food she'd made. I could only take pictures of few of the items, but everything was very delicious, it was a lot of food of course but we could freeze some of them. As much as I've been disappointed about my party that I planned for months being canceled, I thought I should write this review cuz I owe it to Ivy for being so wonderful with the whole process. She deserves appreciation. I definitely recommend her for all your catering needs. I will be using her services for my other parties as well.

I must have gotten there a bit early because when I arrived, only one of the half dozen or so trucks was set up and ready to vend. I ended up with a gyro and a strawberry lemonade from the Mediterranean Touch truck. The lemonade was great! The gyro was... different. The ingredients were arranged differently than any gryo I've previously had, making it a bit difficult to eat. The meat was also a little dry and just a bit too salty. Also, as messy as it was, I didn't see any napkins on the truck (thank goodness I keep hand sanitizer wipes in my purse). Since there were all kinds of cuisines and culinary offerings present (burgers, Indian, Mexican, Boba Tea etc.), I'd probably come and check them out again.

One thing I couldn't wait after my shift, the 2nd year, (this year) I couldn't wait to eat the food she had. The guy in front of me in line, took the last turkey Caprese. She actually solved the issue, by letting me know that she would add the turkey onto the veggie Caprese. Problem solved, exactly! That made me happy so quickly, I loved her truck & HER even more.
