If I'm not mistaken, I believe the San Ramon location may have been sold to someone else. I recently tried the buffet under the new ownership, and honestly, it still looks very similar to the old buffet and the food still tastes great. I really enjoyed it. The service is also really good. It gets extremely busy during lunchtime, which tells you how popular this place is, but the staff does a good job keeping everything moving. If you're looking for a good Indian lunch buffet with plenty of choices, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. Great food, good service, and a really enjoyable buffet!

I went inside to ask someone and they confirmed it was the same restaurant. My first impression: they are friendly and welcoming. The place is clean and area where you get the food is nicely set up, and I love their ceiling lighting. It's not too grand, but it gives the place a nice touch. Food: I have to say, everything I tried is quite good, but I have been to other buffet places that offers more dishes selections. I do have to say, this place cater to my taste buds, so I can picture myself coming back to this place real soon. I particularly love the Goat curry, butter chicken, Saag, Paneer, Chicken biryani and Tandori chicken. Their Chai tea compliments their meals and yummy desserts. Let's not forget the rice pudding like dessert at the end of the serving, buffet area. Overall, it's a complete meal. I'm definitely satisfied and we plan to go back. It really is an ideal place to go especially if you work around the area. I recommend you trying it for yourselves. You won't be disappointed.

Others have provided lots of positive comments on the excellent food. See some attached photos…read more I was, honestly, amazed at the service and the staff. We were way late for our dinner reservation but the manager, Aman(?!) was warm and welcoming. The bartender (name?) also doubled as a server. Very helpful with our cocktail orders. Extensive bar. After years, I was served my straight single malt in a chilled glass. Without having to ask! The server, William, is one of the best trained servers that I have come across. Ever. Thoughtful. Efficient. Attentive but not intrusive. (What's a guy like him doing in a place like this! ) The chef (name?) sent each dish out looking elegant. There were six of us, so we had three appetizers, four entrees and a dessert. Impressive plating! He visited us at the table to ensure everyone was happy. As you may know from my reviews, the experience is more important to me than the food. Given that this is a "mall restaurant!," I was blown away! My bride is an amazing Indian cook, and even she was pleased with the food. Above and beyond any expectations!

Returned after several years and unfortunately have to downgrade my rating. I'd give it 3.5 stars,…read morebut decided to round down. The food was fine overall, but not as good as I remembered. We started with hummus and a few other appetizers, which were good, and the hot naan-style bread was generously refilled when requested. They dont have an alcohol license after all these years so that was a disappointment that you cant enjoy a drink with your meal. The biggest issue was the service. There was only one server, and as the restaurant began to fill up, he seemed to have difficulty keeping up. One person in our party didn't receive their calzone until nearly 15 minutes after everyone else's food arrived--by then, everyone had finished eating. Getting takeout boxes and the check also took quite a while, and we eventually had to walk up to get his attention. A couple of other things detracted from the experience: the music was unnecessarily loud and not very relaxing, and an automatic 18% gratuity was added for our party of four. Given the overall service, the 18% tip felt high. There are several other Mediterranean restaurants in the area where we consistently have better service, so unfortunately, we're unlikely to return.

After returning with a party of five and experiencing the same issues, I felt it was worth sharing. Multiple glasses had a strong egg-like odor, and one had lipstick stains, so I opted for a canned soda. The CTM was overly sweet, the lamb shank too salty, the samosa doughy rather than crisp, the tandoori chicken lacked depth, and some of the biryani chicken was dry. Unfortunately, after two similar experiences, I won't be returning. Probably my least fav Indian restaurant and I've been to many.

Our food came out piping hot, and we ordered two dishes: the butter chicken and chicken biryani. The chicken was high-quality, tender, and moist with every bite.
