The food and the ambiance were amazing. I mean the butter chicken was breathtaking but our server wasn't attentive and kind of ruined the experience.

I just reviewed this restaurant days ago.. but it was so good I HAD to return and try more things on the menu. My new "must order" is the tandoori mushroom. It's such a unique cheesy mushroom dish that was so rich and large in portion but I could not get enough of it. Thank you to our server who recommended this- I probably wouldn't have tried it otherwise. During this visit, I brought a new friend who mentioned he loved the interior design as much as the food! I'm definitely bringing more friends soon!

Khaki offers a refined take on Indian cuisine with a diverse menu of creative dishes from all over the subcontinent. Given the range of the menu, this is a restaurant worth multiple visits! We were started with a complimentary appetizer of cocktail samosas, crunchy turnovers with a filling of spiced peas and potatoes, topped with a drizzle of tamarind chutney. For our mains, the Achari Gobi Musallam was a head of charred cauliflower marinated with achari (Indian pickle) spices and served over a tomato-based sauce; and the Champaran Handi Mutton was a delicious stew of tender, meaty chunks of baby goat and whole garlic cloves in an intensely-spiced onion gravy, which had been slow-cooked in a clay handi. The Meen Pollichathu was a whole, bone-in branzino stuffed with masala and cooked in a banana leaf, served with coconut rice and a coconut-kokum-tomato relish on the side. While the South Indian flavors were delicious, the fish itself was small and boney and not worth the price. But my favorite dish of all was the Paneer Pinwheel, made of a sheet of paneer rolled with spiced dried fruits and nuts. The pinwheel was cooked in a tandoor (giving it a caramelized exterior), sliced, and served over a delectable, creamy tomato gravy (similar to butter chicken sauce). The nutty, caramelized paneer pinwheel and tomato sauce went perfectly with the flatbreads we ordered, including Tandoori Roti and a flaky, layered Laccha Paratha. Overall, the food here was delicious and beautifully-presented, and the friendly service was attentive and on-point!

Loved the ambiance and convenient location inside the mall. Its huge and gorgeous. You can use the escalators near William Sonoma or the steps up if you want to be healthy! As i opened the wide doors, i was greeted by friendly staff and my nerves relaxed instantly :) The seating is comfortable, clean and multiple restrooms segregated in a corner and great food!! I loved the little details that our server took care of - water, welcome snack (3 samosas complimentary - super generous) and small cups katoris for dal :) In $62, we got: - Rajasthani dal - 5/5 - huge bowl of piping hot dal which is a mix of 5 lentils and so amazing - bullet cheese naan - 5/5 - my favorite bread here with green chili - butter naan - 4/5 - for the kid. Good thing it was not dripping with butter but was soft - chicken noorani kebab - 5/5 - steamed chicken topped up with flavorful chutneys - chai - 3/5 - beautiful cup and saucer and decent masala chai We were so full that we didn't have room for dessert, but will definitely visit again!

    Micro portions for 70 dollars

Flavor is decent but the portion sizes are eplicly very very very very very small and prices are very high, there were also two paper thin pieces of nann as well that came with this (which you also have to pay for) but 70 dollars for this is down right disrespectful, currently face palming while ordering food from some where else.

Tried this place for lunch and overall food was good. The service was not the best, and it looked like the restaurant was understaffed. We tried the pani puri, jackfruit cutlet, chicken starter, sweet potato and pata chaat, bagara baigan and pudina parantha. Appetizers were really good, main course we tried was ok.

We were at the Khaki to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was a great evening and we enjoyed the food here. Everything we tried was delicious, even the chutnies with Papad platter were good. Jackfruit cutlets, Paneer Pineheels were my most favorite from the evening. Gobhi Musallam was good too. I tried saffron lemon drop and it was okay. I couldn't get any saffron other than the color. Server explained that it's saffron infused vodka but it didn't come through. Overall drinks were okay, not as good as the food for sure. Definitely a place I will come back for sure though.

Had such a great experience at Khaki in San Ramon. The first thing that stood out was the ambiance -- warm lighting, stylish interiors, and a very inviting vibe that instantly feels a bit special without being over the top. It's a perfect place for a relaxed date night, a girls' night out, or even a celebratory dinner. The food was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. We really enjoyed the Sweet Potato & Patta Chaat, Samosa, Parsi Chicken Keema, Meen Polichathu, and the Zucchini Ricotta Kofta -- great balance of flavors and plenty of excellent vegetarian options. The cocktails were just as impressive, especially the Matcha Mule and Mango Mojito. We ended with the Gulab Jamun Crème Brûlée, which was a fun and delicious twist on a classic.

Bright modern ecclectic space with a few intimate benches and booths. Khaki hits different as an Indian joint with a noteably distinctive vibe. Seating is flexible to accommpdate larger groups as well. We were greeted with complimentary Amuse-Bouche Mini Samosas by the chef - nice welcome! The service was impeccable, highly attentive and thoughtful throughout our meal. Although not a white tablecloth venue our server elegantly scraped the crumbs and smudges off the table at the end of our main course - nice touch. We were pleasantly surprised by the bright flavors and the portions of each of our dishes: Malai Mushroom Chicken Noorani Kabob Parsi Chicken Keema Butter Chicjen Chili Cheese Naan The Butter Chicken in particular was a true standout with the wonderfully savory char flavors of the chicken in the abundantly portioned and decadent sauce. The handcrafted Gymkhana Gin & Tonics were very refreshing and not too sweet, an excellent accompaniment to the meal experience. (Side note to management: Perhaps best not to play with the lighting during the meal service. It was a little distracting, albeit brief).

Really enjoyed Khaki. The food was bold, rich, and well-executed, with the Lamb Shank Biriyani stealing the show. The Chicken Kheema Pav and Mutton Curry were also excellent, and the naan and butter chicken rounded out the meal perfectly. A little pricier than casual Indian spots, but worth it for the quality & elite service.

Loved the food. Parsian keema pav is delicious. Chicken malai tandoori was just wow. The service was quick however the server missed my to-go order which shows a lack of experience and communication. The ambiance was great.

Chose this restaurant for the jazz concert in the center. Although we were seated near the stage, we could only hear the music. The food was delicious and the service was attentive. Our waiter made several suggestions, and all of them were a hit. The jackfruit appetizer was fried but did not taste oily. The lamb shank was a bit overcooked, but the flavors from the spices were great. The chicken was perfectly cooked. The sauce really made the dish. We will return.

Shalimar, Dublin: 2026 July 12 (5 of 5)…read more Let's Meet for Lunch When a handful of friends reunite, time seems to disappear. This get-together is at Shalimar Restaurant in Dublin. Shalimar serves authentic Pakistani and Indian food. The atmosphere here is casual and unassuming. It's an open eatery with community tables and chairs on both sides of the tables. There are also booths and benches for those who need some privacy. This canteen-style eatery focuses on food. You order and pay at the counter. They get your name, and your order is served fresh and piping hot. Everyone ordered something different: Tandoori Chicken, Fresh Baked Naan, Goat Biryani, Fish, Okra, Goat Karahi, Biryani Rice, and several other dishes. The dishes were placed in the middle of the long table and we all got to taste everyone's food. Every dish was flavourful and the seasoning on each dish was on-point. Their naan is baked daily - and you can taste the freshness of the bread. The vibe was strong because it's been an absolute age since we last met up. All nine of us picked up where we left off. As we filled our plates with delicious eats, conversation flowed while we joked and ate. The short reunion came to an end when Shalimar breaks for two hours before it opens again for dinner. We bade goodbye as we went our separate ways. Until the next chapter...

Once again let a friend pick this spot for food, and guess what the best chicken kofta in gravy,…read moretheir chicken baryani was the best. Don't judge the place, if you are a foodie. The garlic naan which was made slightly different than regular naan tasted so good with chicken kofta. Raita was delicious too. They have sauces, onions, and seasonings to go with food. Also cha is complimentary. One of best smelling and tasting food.
