Smoked Paprika Pecans: Great pungent kick to them! Wild Rosemary Almonds: Not too salty, not too dry, just right...! Indian Ajwain Cashews: Like butter baby! Coconut Chili Macadamias: Sweet and savory with a bit-o'-crunch! OMG!!! A great variety of aperitifs for that before-dinner/wine-bar gathering! As the other Yelpers have mentioned, Arnon's gourmet nuts are amazing and would be a great addition to a cocktail party or even just a snack. They are soooo yummy. I have had the pleasure of enjoying Arnon's catering and it's even better than his nuts (if you can image that). Oren's Kitchen only uses seasonal and fresh ingredients. Everything they make is delicious. I don't think there's one thing they've made that I haven't loved. Oren's Kitchen is TOP NOTCH. They catered our wedding in San Francisco for almost 200ppl and the event and food were flawless. Arnon is foremost an amazingly nice person, and of course a world class chef. I have spent almost 20 years in the restaurant industry all up and down the west coast, so needless to say I have a keen eye for attention to detail, quality ingredients and execution. We were offered event venue "walk-thrus" where we could sit down and personally speak with Arnon about the menu. He is VERY good with email communication and prompt telephone replies, which was of obvious importance to us in the planning stages for our special day. Our guests have commented numerous times of how stellar the food was at our wedding, and hoped that we would pass this on to Oren's kitchen and others alike! In short, on the day of our wedding we knew that we had NOTHING to think about except one thing: "When can we finally eat!" P.S. I contacted Oren's Kitchen to caterer a work event. We have a few people that have dietary restrictions, such as Kosher and vegetarian. Oren worked quickly, and he created a menu that would make all our employees feel welcome. On the day of, Oren's Kitchen arrived promptly, and handled everything. It was really nice to not worry about the food- A server passed around the food. I think every employee who attended the event commented on how great the food was- and I couldn't agree more. Oren's Kitchen caters three times a week for our small company, 23andMe. We have about 80 employees and Chef Arnon always checks in and makes sure all 80 of us are happy. The ingredients are fresh and organic and the menu is always changing to keep us interested! Oren's Kitchen catered a dinner party for 30 people at my home. In the time leading up to the event they were very helpful and visited my home to plan the event with me. On the day they arrived well ahead of time to arrange the tables and prep the food, bar and service. During the party, the team were a well oiled machine. They served drinks and served superb food. The team were quiet, respectful, courteous and well dressed. They made it an event my guests were able to relax and truly enjoy. The team cleaned up and left the place immaculate, leaving a few tasty left overs which I have enjoyed eating up the past few days. We were truly taken care of. Holy Good Lord Baby Jesus - Gourmet nuts: wild rosemary almonds & the indian ajwain cashews are tied for my faves. I am happy to see them at Roberts (both Woodside and Portola Valley locations) as well as Whole Foods. I haven't tried Oren's catering yet but based on his awesome nuts, I'm thinking he has some serious skill in the kitchen. :) read more

Our initial discussions regarding the menu and the overall event were timely and enjoyable. After meeting Arnon and his team and sampling some items we quickly realized this: you need to let these guys do what they do...meaning, give them the freedom to create something fantastic and you won't be disappointed. Oren's Kitchen is a wonderful catering service. I have done 2 parties with them. The first one was a large (30 people) birthday party with appetizers and food. The 2nd one was a party with coworkers with light food and drinks. The crew is very professional, service oriented and nice. They arrive on time, take control of the party area and make the event happen. They clean everything after the event and leave you with delicious leftovers. This service isn't cheap but the cost is negotiated upfront and there are no hidden fees. Highly recommended. read more

Oren's Kitchen has been my preferred source of healthy nuts ever since I first tried them. The pecans are excellent, with a very nuanced balance of smoked paprika. I have had a lot of flavored nuts from many places, and Oren's are the best I've had since they are not overly seasoned with salt! Just the right amount of spices allows the inherent flavor of the nuts, like the pecans, resonate with ones taste buds. The Coconut Chili Macadamias are excellent as well, since there is a fine balance of spice and honey, which have a complimentary effect as flavoring goes. High quality nuts on their own have great flavor, and all of the nuts I have tried from Oren's Kitchen have been of such remarkable quality . read more

My sister and I hired Oren's Kitchen to cater a birthday dinner celebration in Menlo Park for our mom who who is quite a foodie. We were thrilled with Arnon and his staff. They served delicious, elegant, yet simple un-fussy food. Our guests cannot stop talking about the meal! I have hosted and attended many catered events, and I am not sure I have ever been to one where every single dish was this incredible. Arnon and his staff are also just lovely and easy to have around. They were professional, friendly and prompt. They never let a guest go hungry or without something to drink. They were the most attentive caterers and servers I have ever experienced. And the menu was perfect. Further, at the end of the evening, the kitchen looked better than when we started. Oren's Kitchen catered our July 4th BBQ in Woodside for 50 adults and 6 children. We had no idea what to expect and the food and service exceeded our expectations. We called the party for 6PM and the chef and staff arrived at 2PM all set to prepare and get our space ready. They were the nicest group of cooks and servers. We were all impressed. Our guests were amazed at the choices of food and how professional the staff was. Before they left at the end of the evening all the leftover food was stored properly in the fridge and all the tables etc. were put away. We had nothing to do the next day. From the minute we met chef Arnon of Oren's Kitchen we had no doubt that the food at our son's bar mitzvah will be fabulous. Arnon suggested a menu that we loved and offered to bring us some of the items to taste. This tasting ended up being a delicious dinner by itself. My boys asked me "can Arnon cook for us every day?". At the day of the event Arnon and his team came a few hours early to set up the outdoor kitchen. The main dishes that included, among other things, flat iron steak with salsa verde sauce, and trout aioli were so flavorful and grilled to perfection, as were the asparagus and the potatoes. Before dinner was served, the crudités and dips that Arnon prepared were phenomenal. Our guests had a hard time leaving the crudités table and heading towards the dinner table. Arnon was very generous with the portions. He sent platters of food to the teenage boys' table, so that our guests could enjoy the buffet table without the boys crowding the area...and we even had leftovers for a full dinner for our extended family the next day. The dessert included a gorgeous raspberry chocolate cake and a dark chocolate fountain that were both big hits with the younger and older guests alike. Arnon's team was very professional and super nice. From the minute they arrived they took charge and made sure that all our guests were happy and satisfied. Also, Arnon recommended a wonderful decorator that helped us with all the rentals and flowers. We couldn't wish for a better culinary experience and I am looking forward to have Arnon cook for us in many future events. read more
