We ordered their Taco platter with 3 meats: Chicken, Carne Asada, & Shrimp. They showed up early, setup their food table, grill, drinks and were ready when guests showed up. Everyone, including my family loved their Tacos and appetizers. We would highly recommend this company & will use them again for our next major party event !

We had a great experience with the whole Michi's Life team while looking for our wedding caterer…read more Everyone was incredibly professional, responsive, and generous throughout the whole process, and the food was both delicious and beautifully presented. What stood out most were all the thoughtful personal touches. They made an exception to host all four of us for the tasting (when normally they just allow 2) and even prepared a special yuzu salmon for us as those were our favorites. You can really tell how much care and creativity Raphael, Mike, Michi, and the whole family put into what they do. We ultimately went with another caterer that was a closer fit for the specific dinner experience we had in mind, but we came away extremely impressed with Michi's Life and were treated like family. Would absolutely recommend them and would happily consider them for another event in the future!

Absolutley perfect wedding food, amazing catering experience from Michi! They made us welcome since…read morewe first did our tasting, having a cute sign drawn for us. As soon as we ate the food, we knew exactly that we had to hire them! The food was amazing, they made us feel like we were eating at home with them. Yes, they were expensive, but they do ALOT and provide alot and during+after the wedding, we had so many people telling us it was the absolute best food they have ever eaten at a wedding. - They helped coordinate linens and rentals and helped us when we wanted to do a second meeting to confirm our selections. - They gracefully answered questions throughout when finalizing our menu, and the 2nd tasting was just as delicious as the first. Their service and warmth did not diminish one bit after we signed. - During the wedding day, mr Michi himself handed us a handroll right after the ceremony, and that honestly was one of the moments I remember vividly. - The late night snacks were much appreciated by people, and after dancing, people appreciated the extra fuel. - They even helped clean up afterwards! Even for things that werent part of dinner. Honeslty made our wedding the event of a lifetime and it wouldn't have been the same without the amazing Michi family catering us.

We had a mediocre experience with The Market catering…read more We struggled to get in touch with them to place our initial order for a small event. We sent multiple messages and voicemails that went unreturned for several days. Just as we were getting ready to change plans and look for a different vendor, we heard back (they had been out on vacation). We decided to still give them a try. (Note: the owner response below suggests that they responded within 24 hours, but that doesn't match our experience - I think this misunderstanding is due to the fact that two of us coordinating the event had reached out to the Market . My initial inquiry submitted on their website went unanswered, and so a couple days later my colleague tried to call and left a voicemail. Eventually my colleague was able to connect with them to place an order. I actually never received any response by phone or email.) The food arrived on time, but the delivery team forgot part of our order. We tried calling both of numbers on the invoice associated with the Market, but they both went right to voicemail. We eventually got a hold of the delivery team and received our missing item halfway through our event. The portions we received were very small compared to the description. For example, "32 tea sandwiches" seems like 4-5 normal sandwiches sliced into 6ths - wild to pay $2.25 for each tiny sandwich slice. The quality of the ingredients seemed mediocre for the price (e.g. the bread seemed like basic bagged sandwich bread, sliced into uneven rectangles). The chicken skewers - the most expensive item we got - were surprisingly small. "Watermelon feta skewers bites" were about a third green olives (not listed in the description) which our guests found unappetizing - we would not have ordered this item if that ingredient had been disclosed. Salad was 99% plain mixed greens (the amount we received runs about $6.99 retail for organic mix at a specialty store). On the whole, most things seemed like we could have gotten similar-or-better quality items for a quarter of the price through Whole Foods. The plating for items was nothing special - again, supermarket take-away platters look about the same. It's really hard to justify the price we paid for the items we received. All in all, we found the service, food quality, and presentation to be unimpressive and overpriced, and the communication/delivery snafus made our event prep more stressful. Perhaps we caught them on an off day, but we were expecting more given the glowing Yelp reviews. Based on the experience we had, we'd recommend working with a different caterer.

Then came the day of the event and absolutely delivered! Everything we discussed and everything I envisioned was brought to life and honestly, it turned out even better than I expected. The DIY Vietnamese Noodle Bar was a huge hit. Everyone kept raving about how delicious the food was, and it was so rewarding to see people enjoying something I had envisioned for the event. To top it all off, the catering team was incredibly kind, accommodating, and professional. As we all know, great food and great service go hand in hand, and D-D Delight nailed both. The food was exceptionally well executed. The beef was perfectly seasoned and tender (not chewy at all!!) and had that wonderful smoky flavor from the char. The chicken was also beautifully seasoned with a nice lemongrass flavor that really came through. I heard so many great things about the grilled shrimp as well. I initially thought the tofu might be bland but I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful and delicious it turned out. Not to mention, they also had a vegan version of the Nuoc Cham for our vegetarian guests! Every component was thoughtfully prepared, and the entire experience, from planning to execution, was fantastic. Kudos to Chef Dui and the entire D-D Delight team! They answered all my questions and were very patient. They were able to adjust and customize to suit my needs and were easy to work with. I chose a meat, a seafood, and a vegetarian for my entrees but I'd never worked with them so I was unsure of their quality. I asked if I could do a tasting and they were more than happy to accommodate. They allowed me to pick a couple entrees and some sides to try out and I picked it up and brought it home to test. After all that, they kept in close communication to discuss my needs for things like rentals of chafing dishes, tables, etc. On the day of the event, they arrived 90 mins prior and set everything up. Since it was a "drop off" catering, they had everything sealed with plastic wrap, lit all the sternos, then left it for us to unwrap when ready. We chose the chicken teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, and the eggplant green curry (vegetarian and G/F). I was worried about the salmon since it tends to overcook, but i was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Not overcooked at all and super tasty! We also ordered sushi and other sides. None of it disappointed!!! After the event, they came and picked up everything. Really great tea to work with. Will definitely work with them again in the future.

Day of the event: A different caterer arrived the day of. Not exactly her fault but she arrived half an hour late and this added some stress for me (since the event would start 30 minutes after). In addition, a couple of the dishes that were put in the stove to be reheated were burnt and caused the fire alarm in our home to go off. When I saw the trays pulled out of the stove (I didn't look too closely) I noticed that half of each tray was charred/burned. I didn't talk about it with them that night due to wanting to just try to enjoy the evening as best as possible but this made me worried that there wasn't enough food to eat. Honestly, I ended up just not eating much and telling my husband to do the same. 3. The items that the caterers brought had to be carried in and out by my husband and our friends. 4.
