Chicken Katsu with mac salad and rice (oddly tasted like instant rice)
    Monica W.

I tried the fish taco combo with salmon and Mahi Mahi on my latest visit. They were both prepared well and very tasty with lots of fish, fresh cabbage, carrot, mangoes and a slightly tangy cream sauce. It also included a very generous portion of their yummy seasoned fries. It was a delicious meal, and I'm looking forward to trying more items from their menu, like one of their Loco Moco options - thinking spam...

We found a different type of restaurant than our usual and we are super happy with the choice. They have a grill, so the seafood is cooked perfectly charred and smoky. Sides were great and the service was friendly. Highly recommend and will come back. I ordered the fish and chips and it hit the spot.

These guys are still amazing! Perfectly grilled salmon and very healthy too. Good service, clean environment, not too crowded.

Fish's wild is tucked at the corner of a huge shopping plaza. When you enter, there's ample indoor and outdoor season. You'll order at the front counter, and they'll bring the food out. I got the grilled barramundi (Asian sea bass) plate which was huge!! The fish was ginormous and the sides were also generous. It was filing and it felt like a healthy meal. The meal was homey, but honestly, it wasn't too special. Personally, I feel like I could make it at home, which is why I rate it a 4 and not a 5. Everything met standards, just nothing was too special! Great value though.

This place was delicious! Great seating and portions were bigger than expected! Love that it tasted fresh, and theres even beer and wine options! I got the chicken bbq and katsu combo, my boyfriend got the katsu curry plate. Both were way above expectations! Honestly, the mac salad tasted like it does on hawaii :) you can order by kiosk or register, and there's even booths to sit, which made it a much better experience inside! Also, they gave us metal forks and knives with a ceramic-like plates! Definitely a top pick for us!

Stoped in thinking I was going to order some type of fish as per the name but after seeing they sold Hawaiian food. Bringing from the islands I always gotta try so I went the safe route and got the bbq chicken. First impressions store is clean and quiet with some background radio music. Outside is a nice seating area of 3 tables. Food was quick and came out hot. As all food should be. The bbq chicken was cooked beautifully, still moist yet charred from the grill. Mandated in a lite sauce that brings out the flavor of the chicken thigh. But from here the side were not just disappointing but boarder line uneatable. The rice was dry and flavorless yet had some dark brown seasoning that did it no favors. The Mac was missing that sweet onion taste and had little to no, mayo and cider vinegar. The only reason we did not give 3 stars was the service was good and quick. I'll be back to try the fish plates but I'll be avoiding the side.

I honestly didn't know you could fine a fast food type fish restaurant with such fresh ingredients. My son and I went here for lunch and got fried clams and mahi mahi with veggies and rice. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The decor inside is clean and bright. It's not cheap but worth it for the quality of the food that is freshly prepared to order. Staff is super friendly.

Located in Cupertino, parking is plentiful and easy to find. The interior is super quiet. There's no music and the cooks don't make a lot of noise when preparing the food. Chicken katsu curry (4/5): quite spicy but sooo good. The chicken was tender and crispy. The portion was mighty sizable and the veggies were fresh. Tap to pay is accepted. Overall, Fish's wild is a great place for some delicious Asian fusion. The price is a bit high for what you get the quality of the food makes up for it.

We are ALWAYS so impressed with the yummy food (we always get 2lbs shrimp/2lbs crawfish combo in Medium Cap't Loui sauce with garlic noodles, garlic bread, and Cajun fries). Wifey and I are stuffed after this but will cleanse our palate with complimentary popsicles in the freezer by the entrance. So yes, the seafood boil and food is absolutely phenomenal. I usually go to Cajun Bistro for seafood boil, but I find the quality of the seafood there to be inconsistent, which made me want to try a new place. I got the 4lb combo with crawfish (frozen, fresh is $5 extra), shrimp, and clams, including corn, sausages, and potatoes. We also got garlic noodles and a calamari basket with cajun fries. For seafood boil sauce, we opted for the cajun instead of lemon pepper. I wasn't sure if I would finish everything, but it was INHALED. I really like the seafood quality here, but sauce-wise, I prefer Cajun Bistro for the garlic butter sauce. Cap't Loui does not offer that sauce, but it was still delicious overall. Service is timely and our food came fast, so thats a big plus. Only complaint I have here is that I wish there was more sauce in the bowl. The bowl had too much food, so I couldn't dip or soak my seafood in the flavor.

The steak taco had a slightly spicy chipotle-type sauce on it that gave it a nice flavor. The cod taco had a big piece of fish lightly breaded with a different kind of sauce that was also very good. I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed the side salad. I'm not much of a garden salad person, but the salad was extremely fresh with delicious edamame and miso dressing. I loved it. My friend also had the two taco platter, but she chose a sea bass taco with pineapple and a breaded shrimp taco with black beans and fries as sides. She enjoyed it. But when I saw that this far-from-ubiquitous chain had opened an outlet right near my home, I figured I'd try it. And I was pretty satisfied. First off, they have a lunch special, which is smaller than their regular combo. Second, you get two out of a choice of half a dozen shellfish: I picked clams, which are really easy to get the meat out from the shell, and crawfish, which aren't so difficult to extract the tail meat (the only edible part worth the trouble) from either. Comes with potato and/or corn. Third is that the food comes with not only a bib and a towelette, but clear plastic gloves. I put these on and felt no difficulty in eating off them, and they did keep my hands clean. I like that. Although there are two levels of spiciness below "mild," I found the mild to be not too spicy, and the Cajun seasoning was delicious, worth scooping up in my gloved hands after I'd finished the seafood. Not too large a meal - maybe next time I'll have a full combo - but tasty. Attentive service - someone was watching to see when I was done, and came over right afterwards.

They're good, but not the best I've had. With my combo 1, I got head-on shrimp and clams with the atomic sauce and mild spice. I heard the atomic was a combination aka Whole She-bang etc. which is what I normally get from seafood boil places. It was ok, nothing too special, very chunky sauce with lots of garlic. The mild spice, however, was really more like a medium spice as it only took a couple of shrimp to really feel it. For my head-on shrimp, most of the shrimp heads were already like detached from the body which defeats the entire purpose of it. They were also on the small side which I know it's by the pound but it's noticeable. It was very underwhelming in terms of that. The clams were good, not much to say about those other than they were absolutely drenched in the chunky sauce. Overall, this place is ok. Nothing really stood out to me compared to other seafood boil places.

Outside of the parking, the space inside is accommodating. There is lots of room for large parties. I will say service was a little scattered brained when we ate here though. They forgot one of our orders and we had to flag them down, a few times to get it to us. To add onto this we were the first two parties here so it maybe was just the staff warming up. It was actually the perfect group to test it. One of us had marinated crab in Boston and loved it, another tried it in Busan and wasn't a fan, and I was a complete first timer. We ordered the Soy Sauce Marinated Raw Crab, Beef Short Rib Soup, and the summer special Hwe Naengmyeon (Spicy Cold Raw Fish Mixed Noodle). The restaurant is spacious, and seeing that most of the customers were Korean definitely gave us high expectations. Service was friendly and our food came out in about 10-15 minutes. The raw crab came with a bowl of rice, quail egg, fish roe, roasted seaweed, seaweed salad, and pickled daikon. My friend mixed everything together for us like a pro. Soy marinade was well balanced, the crab had a soft, jelly-like texture and tasted really fresh, not gimmicky at all. My friend who didn't enjoy this dish in Korea actually ended up liking this version, and my other friend even said it was better than the one she had in Boston. As for me, I really enjoyed trying it for the first time. That said, it's definitely an acquired taste and probably not for everyone. If you're not ready to eat raw crab, I'd actually recommend trying the soy marinade with soft tofu or boiled eggs first because the sauce itself is delicious. The Beef Short Rib Soup came with tender meat, but the broth was just okay. Not bad, just not something I'd order again. The Hwe Naengmyeon, on the other hand, was really refreshing. It definitely had a spicy kick, the noodles were soft yet chewy, and the raw fish had such a unique texture that I honestly don't know how to describe it. Served cold with fresh veggies and half a boiled egg, it was perfect for a hot day. Also, banchan were delicious and free refill, our favorite was the Konjac noodle mayo salad and Gyeran Mari (Korean Egg Roll). Overall, I'm glad I finally got to try soy marinated raw crab, and I can definitely see myself ordering it again. Such a fun first experience, and I'll be back to explore more of the menu.
