Wanted to try a new bento place in South Bay Area, saw some good reviews on Yelp and decided to give it a try. This place is what you'd expect from a typical Taiwanese bento place. Bento, snacks and bobas. The sliced pork garlic rice was pretty decent and tasty, the side dishes were fine as well, pretty standard and nothing particularly special, but they complemented the meal well enough. The winter melon tea was just okay. Overall, it was an alright meal, nothing that really stood out, but I didn't dislike it either. - sliced pork garlic sauce bento: 4/5 - winter melon tea with boba: 4/5

Food: 3.5/5 I got the pork cutlet but I think they didn't put any flavor in it. Thankfully there is spice on their counter table. The 3-cup chicken was really good tho. Definitely recommend that. Service: pretty self-serve. You order on QR code and they just bring you the food. We ended up paying at their counter too. But the staff are all very friendly and will help if you ask. Ambiance: tables inside and out. Love the space. Not too crowded and very cozy. Good place for family lunch.

Ordered bitter melon beef and minced pork rice for lunch and both were pretty decent. Beef was tender and flavorful. Rice was nicely flavored by the meat sauce. Price is a bit steep for the portion. Would recommend take out instead if possible.

The food was good but some dishes felt a little bland or not very rich in flavor. The minced pork rice was reallly good and the sausage was delicious. I also liked the cabbage with bacon, it didnt taste very heavy even though it had bacon. I think the beef noodle soup could have been richer and the meat chunks were a bit dry and hard. The fried platter was okay and I probably wouldnt get it again. Service was good. Its a very fast paced eatery vibes so they were attentive but also quite busy running around. The store is nice and looks clean. I felt like I got transported back to Taiwan for a second because of the food and the atmosphere inside.

Here is my scoring card for this restaurant: 1) Location: ( 5 Point ) - Great location for customer to see and find. Great parking for street parking and back side with parking lot parking. 2) Decoration : (2 Point) - They still have the original decoration. Clean and Neat 3) Price: ( 4 point)- The price is competitive but still a little bit pricey compare to other same stars and type food they serve 4) Quality and Taste : ( 3 point)- The quality is ok, food taste is good and portions are average . ( must be inflation ) 5) Type of cuisine standard : ( 4 point) - The style of Taiwanese food they serve is pretty close to the way it was prepare in Taiwan. Not bad! But some dishes did have slightly modify to cater the customer's need Overall it's not bad and I thinks it's great to give it a try and let me know what you think. I really hate leaving bad reviews. This is a cute café, serving a genre of Taiwanese food that I generally enjoy. Some of the problems were induced by me, but there was no solution by the restaurant. First off the food. After waiting for 40 minutes when we arrive just after opening and the restaurant less than half full, we finally got our food. The sides and rice would've been a three or four out of five because they were standard but not stand out. However, both of the main entrées were not only flavorless, but very, very small portions. The beef was slightly salty, and there were more onions, than actual beef. The shrimp tasted unsalted and had none of the savviness this dish should have. I'd also hoped that the Boba milk tea would be good, but it was extremely weak and tasted more like non-dairy creamer than tea. The bubble was cooked decently and there weren't any hard pieces so that was a plus, but the drink was completely lacking in any sort of flavor. Not factoring into the overall rating was that I ordered on the kiosk, not realizing it was only four to go orders. That was my bad because I failed to see the large sign directly above it clearly presented in the photo that said it was for takeout orders only. However, the sales on drinks with an entrée was only good for dining in and the shop refused to do anything about that. And I didn't factor that into my rating, but it made me less likely to return. There's so much good Taiwanese food in the area that is either cheaper or has more flavor or both. I was sad that this place was not good.

This is a good location to grab a meal then walk around the area! There's plentiful of parking in the lot as well or street parking near the park/library. Great for family friendly meals and outings. I tried the Beef Noodle Soup and Oyster Omelette with a side of rice. The Beef Noodle Soup broth was pretty light (flavor) and the beef was tender. The Oyster Omelette was filling with the rice and had a chewy/stretchy texture from the outer parts. You could definitely taste the oyster in it.

Across from the Cupertino library and located in a housing complex. We came here once in the beginning of covid and finally 5 years later returned. I actually come here to get drinks if I am thirsty taking my child to the library. We got hot pot, braised egg, fried pork chop, veggies, and honey green tea. Everything was really good and a pro plus is that our picky toddler ate well. She liked the rice, egg, pork chop, and the soup from the hot pot. Order on QR code. Food comes out quickly. Street parking. We plan to return to try their bento boxes. I saw someone order and it looks yummy.

My mom approves of this place. She says the beef and chicken were well marinated and tender. She is super picky and considers this place is her favorite Taiwanese restaurant. Here is our rating: - pork belly rice 4/5 - bitter melon beef 5/5 - shrimp fried rice 5/5 - oyster omelette 4/5 - cabbage with bacon 4/5 - spicy hot pot 3/5 - mackerel 4/5 - 3 cup chicken 5/5 Service was ok. They were really busy. Automatic tip for over 6 people. It was nice they let us split the bill 3 ways and gave us some refreshing watermelon.

Tried out JP Taiwan Bistro on Saturday for lunch- it was pretty busy. Everything was good, tasted home-made. Some of our favorites Taiwanese boneless pork chop rice plate, popcorn chicken, eggplant, seaweed soup. Service was good!

Chinese wine chicken bento with braised pork add on

HOLY CRAP. I've been going around the Bay trying Taiwanese spots, and this probably takes the one of the top, if not THE TOP, spots for me. Fried pork chops were delicious and had that classic popcorn chicken breading, and the Chinese wine chicken clay pot was basically perfect too. Chicken wasn't gamey at all, and the sauce balanced extremely well with the vegetables in the clay pot. The vegetable side dishes were also delicious (per my boyfriend, "Yeah this place is good, even the veggies are good" lol). We also got some of their house hot sauce that you find near the utensils by the cash register, and it was tangy, so it helped offset some greasiness. The braised pork I added onto my rice was great too--fatty, plump pieces of pork belly braised to oblivion.

Deep Fried Radish Cake

I came across a new Taiwanese restaurant that a fellow Yelper had reviewed, so I bookmarked it. Finally, I had the chance to visit with my partner for dinner on a Saturday evening. The restaurant is quite spacious, offering both indoor and outdoor seating at the front. Since the weather was beautiful, we decided to sit outside. Upon entering, the staff advised us to choose an open table. They use a QR code menu system, allowing you to start ordering when you're ready. To check out, you need to go to the register. The service was prompt, and the staff were friendly. Once we were seated, they brought us water and utensils. We also appreciated that the staff explained how to place our orders. FOOD * Cucumber salad * Deep fried radish cake * Fried Chop Bento * Braised Pork Rice Bowl + egg * Boba MT * Jade GMT All the food was delicious! The cucumber salad was refreshing and a perfect way to start our meal. The fried radish cake was also good, with a crispy exterior and a soft interior. While it didn't have much flavor on its own, the dipping sauce made up for it. Both of our entrees were tasty. The boneless fried chop had fantastic seasoning and a great batter. The three sides--Napa cabbage, tomato eggs, and broccoli--were plentiful. The braised minced pork and egg were also really good. Overall, everything was flavorful and comforting. The portion sizes were generous, providing great value for the price. The drinks were enjoyable as well.

Braised Pork Rice

Ordered for pickup via DoorDash. Braised Pork Rice - Nice balance of fatty and lean meat; texture, sauce, and flavor were great. Definitely one of the better Taiwanese braised pork rices. Wish it came with an egg but you could add it for some extra $. Fried Chicken Steak Bento - Reminds me a bit of places like O2 Valley without the egg, but I also like O2 Valley's breading and flavor of the batter more. The side dishes all tasted like it was marinaded with dashi. The kimchi (?) was a surprise in a Taiwanese bento box; it didn't taste like Korean kimchi but an umami-flavored kimchi and I enjoyed it honestly. Oyster Omelette - the description on DD indicated shrimp but there weren't any shrimp. There was a lot of the thick layer of starch (?) in the omelette which was extremely weird... It's not terrible but it was way too much compared to the size of the dish. Lots of veggies inside and some oyster, not fishy. Sauce that came with the fish seems to be ketchup-based. We weren't a fan of this dish mostly because of the starch and probably wouldn't get this again. Despite our dislike of 1/3 dishes, still giving a 5/5 because even if the flavor wasn't quite the best we've had, the price and quantity is very reasonable. Have yet to try their drinks but hope to do that next time and try some other dishes as well.

You never know what it is that day and it's like a game for us to see what we get. Our favorite is the tomato egg side but I am never disappointed by any of them. Our hands down favorite is the grilled chicken cutlet bento. I suppose grilled is a little misleading, it has a light crisp to it and it's marinated in some sort of tangy slightly spicy sauce. Sometimes I get an extra side of grilled chicken so baby bear can get extra protein. It's never too much; leftovers the next day go into waffles in the morning for a fusion-y brunch :) If we are feeling extra hungry, we'll add a garlic popcorn chicken side too. Dining in is also an easy casual option. You order directly through the QR code at the table and the food comes out pretty quickly. Surprisingly, the normal Dan Dan noodles ("special sesame dry noodle") were quite bad. The beef and tendon noodle soup is not bad, decent for when I was sick. There is a "beef and tendon noodle soup" as well as a "beef only noodle soup" on the menu - you might think the beef only one would be better value and have more meat, I ordered both to see the difference - even though the meat only one does have more meat, the meat is more tough and very hard to chew. So the beef with tendons soup has way better texture and more tender meat pieces

After placing our order, the food came out relatively quick. We ordered 2 beef noodle soups, the works, and 2 beef rolls. Starting off with the beef rolls, these came out cold. I heard that this is what this place was known for. The meat in our rolls wasn't even lukewarm and the pancakes came out super soggy almost like they didn't even try. Please tell me how the pancake look brown and crispy on the outside and still comes out cold and not crispy at all. My nephew even said they weren't crispy and he's 3. The lady told us that the sauce on the inside was salty and that's why they don't give extra and man was she right. 1/5* The beef noodles soup itself flavor wise was good and portion wise it was good for $21, but my noodles had no chew to them at all. I was attempting to pick them up with chopsticks and they would just break into pieces. They do give a decent amount of beef though in this. 2.5/5* for the flavor but don't expect much from the noodles. Same thing went for the works, it was a peanut buttery sauce that the lady claimed wasn't spicy, but my parents noticed that it had a kick to it even though they asked for it not to be spicy. The egg is a nice touch but not too sure if it's worth the price. Noodle consistency was the same as the beef noodle soup. 2.5/5*
