The place is small but nice, and they had the World Cup games playing, which immediately made the vibe better. The tacos, rice, and beans definitely hit the spot. I ordered a carne asada super burrito and a mini burrito through the restaurant's website. When I got home and opened my order, I realized the mini burrito had no meat in it. I called the restaurant to confirm my order, and the person who answered told me that mini burritos do not come with meat. The problem is that the website does not clearly state this! When placing an online order, you are required to select a type of meat, so naturally, I expected the mini burrito to come with the meat I selected. There should be a clear disclaimer if mini burritos do not include meat, especially when customers are ordering online. Other than that, the super burrito was good, and the salsa was okay. This place just popped out to me with its Red logo. Don't know why that was the standout to make me want to try this place, but indeed I decided to try it. The place is small, but it seems like a place where people pick up to go more than stay and eat kind of place which is also a good indicator of good food. I decided to go with my safest bet of whenever I go to a Mexican restaurant a super quesadilla with carne asada. Then I don't know why but I also had the urge to have a fish taco, the best fish tacos I ever had were in Ensenada many many years ago. I like the place, the fish taco was surprising really big. I did not have expect their tacos to be that big. They stuff their taco with guac, pico de gallo, lettuce fried fish and melted queso. It was good I really enjoyed it with the squeeze of lemon and their green and red house made salsas or was quite delicious. Was in the area, checked reviews on Yelp on this place and figured I'd give it a try. Lopez Taqueria sits in a medium size business complex with plenty of parking out front. Lopez Taqueria 3 is displayed prominently in front of the building. Walking inside you will see some call to order pictures on the front window, once inside they have nice call to order foodie pictures displayed on the walls. Their digital screen menu is nice because it's easy to read and all the items on the menu include descriptions of what's in the food item. I ordered the super burrito with 1/2 carnitas & 1/2 El Pastor "no extra charge!" :-D And a horchata. "Light ice" The burrito comes with rice, beans, avocado, sour cream, pico de gallo, and a meat of your choice "or in my case meats of my choice" They offer free chips and salsa with your order unfortunately the salsa was meh and the chips were cold. They give you red and green sauce for you burrito "I really liked the green sauce " the "huge Mission style"burrito itself was absolutely delicious and slid down easy. The horchata was also very good. The inside was a little messy with some paper towels on the floor, and the floors looked a little kept. I did takeout here a few times & different hours of the day. Tacos have been pretty consistent. Carnitas taco is my favorite here just the regular one. I've never been a fan of all the add ones so I usually don't get the super taco. The carnitas taco is crispy pieces on the outside & soft tender on the inside go perfectly with the soft corn tortilla. On this visit I also tried the al pastor taco regular. A bit of tang with the crispy edges, would probably be my second go too moving forward. That's if I dont fall in love with the buche (pork stomach) or tripas (cow intestines) first, which will be my next order. ;) Stay tuned.... My new favorite. Used to go to Tacos El Paisa.com up in Oakland but I can't justify driving 1 hr up to my old stomping grounds to get buche tacos when we have fire MX food down south. Thankfully my partner found this place and the rest is history, when you get onions extra you really get a TON of extra onions, too much. Otherwise delicious. Lopez Taqueria is a small Mexican restaurant that deserves more recognition. Coming from SoCal, my expectations for good Mexican food were low in NorCal, but Lopez Taqueria proved me wrong. Customer service was great, helpful, and fast. The restaurant itself is welcoming and feels homey. Prices are reasonable and I noticed they offered a lot of vegetarian options which is nice for those who don't eat meat. In SoCal, vegetarian options are very limited when it comes to Mexican restaurants so it was nice to see. I ordered the California Burrito with a Mexican Sprite. The burrito itself is big and they offer sauces (red and green). The burrito was so good that I forgot I even had the sauces until I was halfway through. The avocado were actual slices instead of the typical mashed up version, which was nice because it tasted more fresh and had more flavor. The meat was tender, moist, and packed with flavor. The fries were even seasoned and were soft in the inside. What stood out the most were the fries and I truly wish I could've gotten the carne asada fries just to eat the fries themselves. Tortilla was warmed and tasted fresh as well as being light. The tortilla actually held everything together and there were no "leaks". The sauces caught my attention as well because they weren't your typical red and green sauces. These ones tasted homemade and had a different flavor than most. The red tasted more of a Smokey Chipotle which was my favorite and the green was more of a zesty lime almost. Both were not too hot and complimented the burrito very nicely. The Mexican sprite was good too :) Overall, not even lying but this has to be the best burrito I have had so far. They blew my expectations out of the water and my partner had the same reaction. There's something about the casual, laid back atmosphere of this place that immediately feels like you're at home. It's like so many other classic Mexican joints, but where it stands out is the execution. Everything is just really done well. My wife had a steak burrito. The burrito was smoky and delicious, everything you want in a burrito. She couldn't stop eating, it's the very definition of craveable. I can see her wanting this at 11pm now that she's had it for the first time. I had the chicken fajitas and again, the smoky flavor came through in the chicken and the fajita vegetables. The chicken was shredded and marinated, then crisped up on the grill. The result is chicken with incredible flavor and texture- this isn't just cubed up chicken breast or chopped up thigh that's been thrown on a grill. This chicken took time. This restaurant is located a door down from the Karthikeya Supermarket and there is no shopping cart "parking" for it. People randomly put their carts in the parking lot which means it can easily get blown away. I'm not sure of the situation but while I was eating inside the restaurant, some dumb person or the wind, decided to push the cart in between my car and another car - scraping the side of my car!! I'm so mad. Anyways PARK WITH CAUTION - away from the supermarket. Aside from the horrible parking lot, this location is small but the staff are friendly. While I was scrolling through Yelp for a place to eat, I noticed this taqueria with multiple locations (must mean it's good!) and came to this since it was closest to me. I ordered 4 tacos (carnitas, carne asada, al pastor) and the guy offered me chips & salsa. The salsa was spicy but so good! The tacos came with double tortilla and it was perfectly crispy when fresh, and the portions and toppings were quite generous. My favorite was the carnitas and al pastor. The carnitas were semi-crispy but good enough to satisfy my cravings. The al pastor had a subtle sweetness to it but still good. The carne asada was ok to me, as the meat seemed a little dried out for me. The fridge next to the cashier is self-serve when ordering, so you can find bottled soda or beer. Anyways, ordering was very easy and my order came out in less than 5 minutes. More importantly, it was a generously sized burrito that was good tasting. 2 types of salsas and 2 limes were provided. I usually order for my workplace, providing food for meetings or treating the staff, and every time the food has been a hit. It's become a workplace favorite! When I walk in to pick up, I'm always greeted warmly by multiple staff members. The team here is upbeat, professional, and provides excellent hospitality. One gentleman, in particular, has always been especially kind, making sure I have everything I need--extras included--and ensuring my order is ready to go. As someone grabbing food between a busy workday, that efficiency is a big plus. Most importantly, the food is delicious. I've been to a few Lopez Taqueria locations, and I've never been disappointed. I frequent the one near my home more often, but now that I've discovered this Sunnyvale location near my job, my coworkers are hooked. They've already requested that we keep ordering burritos from here! My boss is also a huge fan. She always requests a custom order--extra cilantro and cilantro on the side--and Lopez Taqueria 3 always gets it right. On top of that, the jamaica is fresh and flavorful. I was looking for a burrito for dinner and for some odd reason the trucks that I go to are closed. So looking up Yelp I found Lopez which happen to be close to where I was at the time. The reviews indicate a good place to get a burrito. The restaurant was very small and not busy at all. Most of the patrons have made to go orders. Anyway looking at the burrito menu I noticed that the super burrito was in just under $12. That is a great price. So I ordered on with carne asada and no beans. My order took about 8 minutes to show up and service was very prompt and professional. The burrito did not come with any nachos and I was slightly disappointed. Perhaps they might consider that option in the near future. Included was two small containers of a red and green salsa which tasted pretty good and spicy. The burrito seemed about the size of a regular burrito at other restaurants but it was stuffed very nicely. The ratio of meat to other ingredients was substantially high. In fact the first 60% of the burrito was mostly meat with just a little of the other ingredients. With a super burrito the sour cream and guacamole tend to make the whole thing a little mushy. But this burrito was not as mushy as I expected it to be In the end I rate this place 4.5 stars for the food and service. I will come back again next time I get a hankering. read more

It wasn't what I expected as I am used to having nachos with grilled chicken and not the pulled stewed chicken. But it was really a super nachos with an abundance of cheese and jalapeño and other ingredients. The nachos were homemade and not store bought corn chips. It was tasty nonetheless. One of the best tacos in the South Bay. Please go out of your way to come this particular Lopez Taqueria location. The others are just not as good. The al pastor marinade was unique from other taco spots and had depth. The lengua tacos here are my favorite in the South Bay. It had a unique sauce it was stewed in and the texture is perfect. I like my lengua with a little chew and this was right up my alley. The chile verde was tender (and not the dry kind of tender). It was slow cooked and moist while the other location felt like it was boiled hard. Carnitas tasted good, it's standard, not the best I've ever had. Avoid the fish tacos - it's just bunch of dry fish sticks on a tortilla, not a big piece of juicy fish like most people expect. I like how they have chili oil on the tables. It adds a nice smokey touch. I wish they had orange sauce like the other taco spots in SJ (Spartans, La Vics, etc). The service here is extremely friendly. OMG - a little hidden gem! Wanted to try to their fish tacos as right now I get my fish taco fix in San Mateo area and wanted to try someplace local. Am so glad we came here. First off - this place is CLEAN - nice and airy. The cashier was friendly and I love as she enters the order you can see it on the screen below where you pay to confirm. Their fish taco was delicious - squeeze that lime on top and you get the crispy fish, fresh veggies and that creamy PIECE of avocado in the traditional two layers of corn tortillas. Definitely would come back for this and they are local - so that's a huge plus. The only light negative was they fish was cut a bit "thin" compared to the other place but they give you several pieces so you get a lot of crunch. So a bit different. Since we were there and saw they offered lengua - we went for burritos as well. I got the "Super with lengua" and hubby got the "Regular with lengua" and to me - their burrito was the true star!! CHUNKS of tender delicious lengua with white creamy beans - and not just guacamole but CHUNKS of avocado (for the Super). Rice was not dry - very flavorful and the big thing as well was the THIN tortillas! OH MY. That makes SUCH a difference. You really get to enjoy the fixens and don't have this heavy tortilla - it's light and thin - it was SO GOOD!! I sometimes throw away the ends of the burritos because of the ends - but this one I gobbled it all up and I had the fillings in EVERY BITE! OH and of course I had to get their chips and guacamole for a side - for only $4 - why not. I think it's fresh chips. It was so tasty. I eat regularly at the original location and I've never been treated as badly as I have been here. My usual order is an El Pastor super burrito and usually pay in cash since it just makes things easier and they offer a discount for cash anyways. I came around 1 so towards the tail end of lunch rush so lots of people inside but no line when I got there, which is perfect. The lady behind the counter already didn't look happy to see me when I walked in to order but people have bad days so I didn't let it bother me. After placing my order, I tried paying with a $100 bill since that's all I had on me and she told me I need to give something smaller with some attitude. I don't have anything else so I need to use card now. I walked next door to the grocery store while waiting for my order but wasn't gone for more than a few mins and when I stepped back in, my order number was call, perfect timing. I get there and confirm my order number and order and the lady pulled the bag back and asked to see the ticket number. I give her the ticket so she can confirm my order number and give me my food. I then ask for some more red sauce since I prefer it to green sauce and she says she doesn't have any, as she is filling up containers of it right there. I then ask her what about one of those on the counter she's filling up, she then proceeds to pull them back and says no. How do you blatantly lie like that. If you want to charge for it, say so and I'd pay for it. I'm not the kind of person that causes problems so I didn't say anything but I'll never come to this location ever again and I'm not even sure I'll ever come to the chain it.
