He was knowledgeable about the menu items, friendly and approachable and he was very attentive. We started off with a drink and steamed edamame. My husband had a watermelon mule and I had my usual Shark fin. Both really good! If you like a cocktail with a little bit of sweetness to it, Either one is great. I believe the watermelon mule is a summer seasonal drink. The edamame may be a simple appetizer, however it is perfectly steamed and a great addition to a cocktail. I ordered the house salad which I really enjoy. It not your ordinary house salad. It has shiitake mushrooms, tomatoes, edamame, sprouts, miso dressing over greens. So god and well placed together. I also ordered the grilled salmon chowder and what an amazing mixture of flavors. So delicious! My husband ordered the Verlasso Salmon with Thai Brussells sprouts and creamy mashed potatoes. He really enjoyed the combination of flavors. We followed our meal with their signature coffee and we split a Crispy Dulce de Leche (banana cheesecake) spring roll with a scoop of vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce. Came here for lunch today with a friend. It was the first time I'd been here in person, although I'd DoorDashed the lobster roll a couple times from the Campbell location. My friend made reservations, and we were seated quickly in a nice booth. The menu is a bit small, but the choices are excellent. I had the two taco platter with one steak taco and one breaded cod taco with chips and salsa and a side salad. It was completely scrumptious. The steak taco had a slightly spicy chipotle-type sauce on it that gave it a nice flavor. The cod taco had a big piece of fish lightly breaded with a different kind of sauce that was also very good. I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed the side salad. I'm not much of a garden salad person, but the salad was extremely fresh with delicious edamame and miso dressing. I loved it. My friend also had the two taco platter, but she chose a sea bass taco with pineapple and a breaded shrimp taco with black beans and fries as sides. She enjoyed it. The waiter explained to us it was his first day and was attentive and polite. One dish came out incorrect, and he apologized profusely and took it back to the kitchen immediately to be fixed. This is not our usual location that we visit. Decided to try this location as it was closer to where we were. They had a few new menu items so I decided to try it. I had the red curry noodles with shrimp, tofu and broccoli. Our waiter said that it was spicy but unfortunately it wasn't at all. This dish disappointed me - the noodles were overcooked, the red curry was very watered down and had a tart taste. Not at all a Thai red curry. The shrimps were grilled and the tofu was silken. The broccoli seemed out of place in this dish. I did not finish my meal at all. Our waiter was really nice and offered me another entrees to try. Especially at that the price point. The food was decent. Flavor was ok, not great. But what did it in for me was the service or lack thereof. Again, it wasn't that busy but I had to wave down any waiter/waitress for everything: a drink refill, extra napkins, etc. I even had to call on a bus boy for wasabi. We came for dinner on Sunday evening. Since it was Father's Day, it was busy with a lot of 'fathers' celebrating with their families. Linda was our server and she was very polite. My husband ordered the 'Barramundi Sea Bass', I ordered a smaller meal with two black corn tacos, which is less than half of the price of my husband's order. The sea bass was not to our expectation - it was overcooked, the fish meat was hard, the edges were difficult to cut. It was a wrong way to cook this delicate fish!! My husband told me later that there was no mango in the avocado salad as described in the menu. We came to Pacific Catch about a month ago. About half of the baby asparagus were tough and not chewable, and we had to leave them on the plate. They gave us some discount after we complained to them, but it was not a happy meal experience. The 'Barramundi Sea Bass' cost $32, We don't think it was worth the money. I will still come here for the convenient location and relaxing ambience, but I will be careful with what to order. Came here on a Saturday evening for a company dinner. We got plenty of different dishes and a few appetizers for sharing. Worth noting, the manila clam chowder wasn't exactly creamy, it was more soupy, and I hardly noticed any bacon or potato in the dish at all, so it didn't seem to reflect what was described on the menu. But it was still delicious. Definitely overpriced though, especially with the scarce ingredients and small portion size. In fact a lot of the starters we got were minimal in size for the price paid. The east coast lobster roll was such a treat, with warm butter and herb aioli, a unique and delicious combination, and it comes with a little container of warm clarified butter on the side for guests to pour over their sandwich (or dip) themselves. Now that's what i'm talkin bout... it was sooo gooood! The regular fries on the side were average, but I would easily return just for that lobster roll, one of the best I've ever had. The different fish dishes that our party ordered were quite tasty as well, and they offer a whole other menu to meet special dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, etc.), so they were able to accommodate and please everyone in our group. Bar opens until midnight. Their entire service staff have been good as well! Patio seating is a plus on nice days or warm evenings. Inside, the multiple types of seating should match whatever party count you have and still feels spacious. Natural light from large windows was welcoming and the bright decor prevented darkness in the evening. Getting here is a trek, however, since it is not really close to any freeway. I have to say that based on our experience here, we were surprised by the high Yelp 4 star ratings. We have been to this Pacific Catch many times - one of our favorite places to eat. We went tonight about 1.5 hrs to closing. We were seated quickly inside. Not too many customers. We noticed it had been awhile that no one was coming to take our order. We didn't see anyone in our area although there were several workers near the entrance to the kitchen. Finally the bartender Melvin, who noticed we were looking around for someone, came to help take our order. Our food came in good time but they had forgotten my beverage hot tea - so we flagged a worker to remind them. Melvin delivered it and asked if everything was good. We said yes thank you. We noticed no one came by after that to ask. We also didn't get water for the table. These things we noticed because we go there a lot. The ambiance was perfect for unwinding, with the option to sit outside and enjoy the pleasant weather. First time at pacific catch on a date night with my wife. We made a reservation for 9pm and got seated quick inside. We got the guac-poke, i got the 3 taco platter, wife got the surf and turf. Sadly, the only good thing was the guac-poke. My tacos had small bits of steak (5 pieces) and 2 small pacific cod pieces on the other two. The tortillas were stale and seemed like 3 day old pieces with cardboard feel (basically felt like if you leave a tortilla out in the open for 3 days, and it begins to break apart from simply bending it and even after warming it up, it still is stale). My Wifes surf and turf got a small 3 pieces of skirt steak, with a very charred lobster tail that was beyond overcooked to the point that the tail was black and ashy to the touch, mashed potatoes were oily and lack luster. For the price paid, 117.00 total (10.00 tip since it wasn't the servers fault the food was terrible), you'd expect much better quality and better preparation on the food. Personally, we won't come back. A seafood place that cant make proper fish tacos, let alone lobster isnt worth the price at all. I remember going here a few years ago with my family and the menu has changed quite a bit. My favorite thing I got back then was the poke trio, but I noticed that it wasn't on the menu anymore. The batter for the fish was good and I thought the slaw was refreshing to eat between bites. Sushi "Taco" Trio: I ordered one Seared Ahi and two Spicy Salmon. The flavor for the Ahi was good, but the texture was a little bit too chewy. I think the way it was seared messed with the texture, but it was still a decent piece of fish. The spicy salmon on the other hand was really good. The sriracha aioli paired perfectly with the salmon and the piece of fish had a good ratio of fat/fish. I like how big the pieces of fish are for each "taco" and three of these can definitely fill you up a bit. read more
