It included 10 pieces of assorted nigiri, 15 pieces of sashimi, tekka maki, a California roll, shrimp tempura roll, plus 2 chef's special rolls. Everything tasted super fresh, like you can tell the quality is there. My absolute favorites were the salmon rolls (I could've eaten those all day). We definitely overestimated ourselves and couldn't finish, so... to-go box it is Overall, such a great experience. I have been to Yoshi Sushi before and since I was in the area and had a hankering for sushi, I decided to go to this place again. I ordered the Shrimp Tempura Roll and Miso soup, both to go. The order was ready within 15 minutes and before I got there. I went there on a Sunday evening around 5pm and the place was not full. It is a bit confusign to find, it is on a small street behind Co-America Bank and situated in a strip mall, there is plenty of parking. They had a 2 for 1 specials and so I got 2 orders of the Shrimp Tempura Roll for the price fo one and I was shocked at how small the quantity was, you get 6 pieces with an order for $12.95, see attached photo. I was greeted when I walked in and was attended to immediately. The interior is welcoming and you walk into restaurant with the chefs preparing the sushi to the left and seating in front of them and several tables. There is no outside seating. Not only was the portion small but the shrimp part was tiny, it was mostly rice and not very tasty. The Miso Soup was hot and satisfying. It cost $2.99 You have to ask for utensils, they do not provide automatically and I appreciate that. I might give this another try if I am in the area but I would prefer to check out other sushi places and see how the quantity and prices compare. read more

We came around lunchtime. It was a little busy, but we were seated quickly. We appreciated that they played piano covers, so you can hear each other over the music much easier. You'll be seated, and order off of a QR code. We ordered the chawanmushi, lion king roll, rainbow roll, and 49ers roll. The chawanmushi came in a little hot stone cup. Absolutely delicious! The egg was very silky, the chicken, shrimp, and naruto added a nice contrast to the egg, and it was overall just flavorful enough without being overwhelming. Would definitely recommend grabbing one of these. The dragon roll was tasty, too. Yoshi Sushi has several locations in the Bay Area which all of them are so consistent with quality and customer service! I have been to the San Jose one and now I have decided to try the one in Los Altos. Parking was very easy as they have a spacious parking lot in front of the restaurant! Upon walking in, we were warmly greeted by the host and directed the QR code for ordering. I love the QR code ordering system because it includes all the pictures of the items! There was so many options on the menu and it was hard to choose since everything looked so good! We ended up ordering 3 rolls, 1 dream box, and a smoking salmon sashimi which was perfect for 3 friends to share! My favorite was the giants roll and dream box! The slices of fish in the dream box were huge and it also came with some uni too! After eating the huge buttery slices in the dream box, I will be surely having dreams about sushi in my sleep! We love Yoshi Sushi! Definitely recommend any of their teriyaki, the beef and salmon are great, as is the sushi and sashimi salad. We love dining outdoors here and also picking up dinner after enjoying music at First Fridays Los Altos. Dining in, the outdoor dining is clean and well lit and they are very dog friendly, even bringing out each of our dogs their own water bowl. My go to is the Mango Crunch Roll, which I usually get. Pieces are big and tasty, I'd give it an 8/10. The Lion King Roll is also always a good choice, can never go wrong with that. I've also had nigiri for delivery, and it's always fresh. This time, we tried the Tai Carpaccio, and it was really good! The fish was soft and tender, so I'd rate it an 8/10. The Dinosaur Roll is good too 9/10, it comes with soft shell crab, avocado, cucumber and some spicy mayo sauce. I also got the Sushi Regular, which comes with 8 pieces of assorted nigiri, California roll and Miso soup. It was fine, but I'm not a huge fan of albacore or shrimp (I prefer Amaebi), tho it wasn't bad. My boyfriend picked the Kurodai, Salmon Belly, and Scallop nigiri, which were all great choices. I decided to try this place again with a friend. At 12 noon, it was completely empty! Very surprising given the good reviews. I had the fried soft shell crab and miso soup to start. The soup was ok, kind of bland. The fried soft shell crab, I did not enjoy at all. There was a flavor to it that was off, maybe the oil they use?? Definitely would NOT order that again... I had the Yoshi Special Roll. It was very underwhelming. The shrimp tempura and crunch had the same off taste as the fried soft shell crab. And there was way too much of the crunch! The crab meat was not spicy at all and there was very little spicy mayo and absolutely no unagi sauce. The service is very good! And the lychee martini is so delicious (although I'm not sure there was actually any vodka in there)!?!? The ambience is very nice. Wagyu Nigiri was already great, maybe could have used some more wasabi on it but it's only available when you order in the restaurant.
