Celebrated graduating from grad school with sushi, and it was a great choice! The rolls were super fresh, the poke chips were so flavorful & unique, & every dish was plated so beautifully. The service was also incredible too.

Great sushi for the price and convenient location near the hotel I was staying at. Super easy to pick up to go and it was packed well. I couldn't help but try their mochi donuts which were okay and the edamame was overly spicy, but the sushi was fresh which is the most important. I'll definitely be back when I'm in town for business.

Service was poor on a Saturday night, they might be understaffed since it took us forever to place our order and even longer to get the check. They also did not check back on us, it seems like the other comments also remark on the service quality. It's a handheld machine, so there was no need to even print out our receipt. I missed my Caltrain station because of this. My friend was looking and signaling for 20 minutes, give or take. We got the tonkatsu ramen and one order of salmon nigiri. It was okay! Fish to rice ratio was solid, and the ramen order was authentic and hearty.

I came here about 2 years ago, and I have to say the quality of the fish has definitely improved. My first visit, I was a little disappointed because the fish was a bit tough and poor quality, but this time it was much better. I ordered the Get In My Belly Set, which comes with negitoro, sake, toro, maguro, and salmon belly ($32). So good! The negitoro could've been better tho. The Hokkaido scallop carpaccio was delicious and I loved the buttery texture with the yuzu koshu and truffle oil ($20). Definitely a must order. My bf got the unagi don, which was pretty filling, and we also ordered kurodai nigiri and amaebi (not shown in the pic), and both were really good. There's plenty of parking in the lot, it's not too busy, and the interior is nice and clean. Our server was friendly too.

Still very delicious for the UberEats deal of the garlic tonkotsu and free chicken karaage. Not for the get in my belly set. All the items costed about $78 total after TT. The get in my belly set was $36 for 4 pieces of nigiri and salmon maki. The rolls were wrapped poorly, somewhat fell apart in transit which was fine.

The food here is great and so is the service! I particularly enjoyed the Furikake fries and the miso salmon kama. The restaurant and clean and modern.

A Must-Visit Japanese Gem! The sashimi is incredibly fresh, with each slice melting in your mouth. Their sushi rolls are equally impressive--rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and very satisfying. Another standout dish is the grilled fish collar (Hamachi Kama); it is perfectly charred on the outside while remaining tender and juicy on the inside. What makes this restaurant even more special is the warm and welcoming service from the owners. Sue and Alex's passion and hospitality make you feel right at home. I highly recommend everyone to come and give this Japanese restaurant a try!

Hidden gem for sure. Drive by this place all the time when I'm headed to Whole Foods and finally tried it out. It's in the plaza next to the Walmart and across the street from the Target on Showers. Couple of coworkers recommended the place and it didn't disappoint. The place is surprisingly small but very busy. Went on a Sunday evening and they were packed, but the wait wasn't too long. You have the option to reserve a table( highly recommend) . What I Ordered Bento Box: Short ribs & carrage comes with side of rice, macaroni salad and whole peeps orange which looks really cool. Ribs were amazing and seasoned well. Carrage is always delicious. Carne asada rolls: That's right carne asada didn't seem like it would pair well as a sushi roll, but it was my favorite dish. Overall really great food and the atmosphere is great. Only reason it wasn't 5 stars because we had to ask several times for refills of water, but this place is a must try if you're in the Mountain View area.

Tonkotsu ramen! Not too dark, not too light. Perfected soup base! Ingredients are tasty as well. Gotta try!

Best Ramen for sushi restaurant and Chicken teriyaki sashimi combination bento! Owner Alex and his team are very friendly, welcoming and provided the freshest fish quality and kitchen food! Ambience is cozy and modern, family and friends oriented. Very clean place!

I highly recommend getting their premium rolls! The execution was amazing, each roll was we thought out. Skip the happy hour menu. Pay attention to the monthly rolls, I only noticed it at the end, but the description looked fire. Premium rolls: - Eighty-Eight Roll was packed and topped with so much fish! I loved the wasbi tobiko on top. The tuna was extremely fresh. Texture was soft. The roll was amazing. Sauce was really good very light and not over powering was savory and a hint of citrus. Highly recommend. - The Phoenix Roll was also amazing. The tobiko flavor was very interesting. It had a smoky taste to it similar to hondashi from their sauce, which was similar to a soy reduction with bonito. I the tobiko may have absorbed some of the sauce flavor (?). The avocado was nice and buttery. The unagi top was really savory. Love the portion size of the fish. Sauce seems like a soy reduction with some hondashi or bonito, very delicious.Hamachi had a nice firmer texture. Love the combination of ingredients. Happy hour: - Takoyaki batter is nice and crispy and a big chunk of tender octopus inside. Lightly dressed which doesn't over power everything. - California roll crab salad was a bit saucy, a bit heavy on the mayo side. - Spicy tuna was good. Minced nicely that there is still texture to the bite rather than all mush. Not too spicy, tasted very fresh. I like that all the rolls were packed. And light on the rice. The speciality rolls were well thought out with amazing execution. All the individual flavors fit perfectly and complimented each other. I would skip the happy hour rolls and re place it with the monthly roll. Didn't get a chance to try it but the description looked really good. Service was good very attentive, they paid attention to the water level and asked if we need more. Our rolls came out pretty fast too.

Premium Eighty-Eight Roll, Dragon Roll & California Roll

We came for lunch at 1:30 on Friday. It wasn't very busy. It was clean. Parking was easy to find. Ambience just perfect. Great place to enjoy a fresh can of Diet Coke over ice. We started with the Tiger Don for the three of us as an appetizer. It was awesome! The unagi & seared salmon was so fresh and it had a splat of seaweed salad with bits of pickled relish. After the toppings and some rice was eaten, the remaining rice with seasoning wasn't as exciting. My son's going to fry an egg over easy and throw it on top for a snack later. The premium 88 roll was interesting. It had crab, unagi, salmon, avocado, tuna, spicy tuna, cucumber, tobiko, and pine nuts. It was good not great. The dragon roll & California roll were also good. Kids would not order the baked roll only because it was kind of boring compared to the others. Oil was turned off so we didn't order dessert. Overall food was good. I don't think the unagi was consistently good on each roll. We will come back again to try the other rolls.

They have gluten free soy sauce you can ask for! Got the sashimi combo which I found to be a good value. 9 pieces of fish and a side of rice for $31. Love how big the cuts are, my favorite from the sashimi combo is the salmon. They also make this dish gluten free by omitting the ponzu sauce added to one of the sashimi pieces

    Sashimi lunch $22.
    Jessi B.

Went here for lunch with a friend and it was not busy at all. The vibe is very clean and trendy. I ordered the sashimi lunch for $22 and a spider roll for $12. All the food came out super quick. The spider roll was crispy and yummy! And the sashimi lunch was great portions and super fresh! We also ordered hot tea, and it was also really good quality green tea. Will come again when I am in the area!

Our waiter who was genuinely lovely the entire time told us not to worry and said we could just keep it. Our kids started eating it, and then a few minutes later he came back looking embarrassed because the manager told him he had to take it back. After the kids had already eaten some of it. Super awkward and honestly not the waiter's fault at all. Then later the same manager came over to tell us we couldn't drink an outside beverage at the table. Totally understand restaurants having policies, but the way everything was handled just felt cold and uncomfortable. The food itself was decent, and the waiter did his best, but overall the experience was bizarre because of the management. With so many other great spots around with better hospitality, I don't think we'd come back.

The server was super patient and nice, and the food comes out very quickly. There's a large variety of items on the menu, from udons (brothy, creamy, cold) to bento boxes to rice bowls. Everything looked and sounded delicious, making it hard to pick! I ended up ordering the mentai cream sauce udon, and boy was I happy with my choice! The bowl comes with cod roe, parmesan cheese, tempura bits, and seaweed flakes. The cream sauce was super savory and umami, subtle seafood flavor without tasting fishy. If you can't picture it, it's alfredo-adjacent but seafood style and much better. The udon was chewy and al dente, perfectly coated by the sauce in each bite. Super comforting meal, and I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!

The restaurant wasn't too busy when we went for lunch, and I appreciate that they let us stay quite a bit longer to hang out even though we were too full to order more food. If you like larger portions, definitely go for the large. They mentioned it's 50% larger than their regular size, and generally only a few more dollars for each dish. The two of us who had the Nebeyaki Udon really enjoyed it. My only wish is that they would put the tempura shrimp on the side so that it doesn't get too soggy. One of us had the Niku Bukkake Udon and really enjoyed that as well, especially since it was a warm day outside. The restaurant itself is nice and clean, and the seating is spacious, allowing for a feeling of some privacy. I appreciate they don't pack everyone in together.

The beef here is decent, the vegetables are quite fresh, and the sauce station has all of the essentials. In terms of soup, I think the best one has to be the classic bone soup. You have the option to choose your spice level from 1-10 (not for all soups though). I've been told that I have a high spice tolerance and I usually get 7 here and it isn't really spicy at all. My friends who self proclaim that they have low to very low spice tolerance will at max get level 3, and they say that that is spicy. Service here is pretty minimal since you just grab everything yourself. Once you enter, you are given a table number so pay attention! After you get to the register, you'll weigh your bowl, choose your soup, and be given a bracelet with a number on it. You will be given the bill after you finish eating. It definitely gets busy during dinner time so plan ahead and/or join the waitlist in advance.
