This is a restaurant located in a strip mall. I went there around 6pm on Friday night and was the only person there. The service was quick and friendly. I ordered the fish, oysters and chips. I got the tartar sauce, cocktail sauce and ketchup. I can hear the cook make my food after ordering so I know it's made fresh. Oysters - crispy and hot with juice coming out when I bite into it. It tasted fresh and delicious. Fish - not too much breading, just the way I like it but wish little bit more flavor. When I asked for clarification, the staff member taking my order gave me a white‑eyed look that felt dismissive and honestly pretty rude. It seemed like she was frustrated that I didn't understand their system, and I was frustrated because nothing was explained. Not exactly a welcoming first impression. I ended up ordering chips, a soda, and coleslaw across my three items. The coleslaw was extremely sour--so sour it made my teeth hurt. Definitely not something I'd order again. I still left a generous tip, but the service didn't come close to earning it. I think it'd be great to add them and make it a spot to catch the local sports teams' games. The woman working the counter was friendly and the menu on the display was easy to navigate. I went for the #2 combo which came with two pieces of fish and crinkle-cut fries as chips. I picked tartar sauce and malted vinegar as my condiments. I received the food within a reasonable amount of time and it was cooked to order. The fish was cooked just right (tender and moist) and was perfectly battered and crispy on the outside. The fries were also excellent and I ate them all even though I was full. Overall, this was a positive experience. The restaurant had a variety of other fried seafood on the menu. Went there for lunch and the place was empty on a Thursday, I think most people take out instead of eating in. I ordered a 2 piece for $14, and eat in because I wanted them hot and crispy. The order was made to order and they came out quite hot and crispy both fish and chips. They're so good, no fishy smell, the fish was so white and tasty with vinegar and tartar sauce. Enjoy every bite just like fish and chips in London. The only thing that fell short is the chips. They're crispy but not as rich and tasty as real fresh potato fries. It is located at the corner in a small shopping center off ECR close to Hollenbeck Ave. The interior is spacious and dim. I ordered and paid at the counter and my food was swiftly brought to my table My clams and chips came with tubs of cocktail sauce and malt vinegar, tartar sauce is available. The doughy breading was a golden brown enclosing sweet tender strips of clam. The fries were good. You can get fried fish, calamari, fries and other seafood. Service is quick and you walk up to counter and order. You sit at table and they bring out your order within minutes. I've had fish and chips at a lot of places. I found the fish to be good, however a bit on the oily side and lots of batter. This place is good for going to grab a quick lunch, not spend a lot of money and quick service. Not a bad spot to eat, and food was a good size amount. It's probably tough with the seafood prices today so I think that explains the cost is towards $15 basically. I did get the 2 fish meal and a scallop for the wife. Went here today for some fish and chips. Being Lent could not find another place in the area. We'll, a woman came back with her order because they got a wrong. I had a feeling we would get the food that was returned and sure enough we did The fries were very cold and stale tasting. The dish wasn't any hotter. Not much of a fish eater to begin with. So to eat it cold wàs horrible. Harbor fish and chip in San Jose, is a lot better and for sure fresher. Don't waste your time. Meanwhile the cook was complaining in Chinese language and seem very upset. I think it was because the lady was returning the food she bought. Fish- Feel like the portion is bout the same as other spots...possibly slightly smaller due to the width but the length is larger. It was perfectly fried as well. The fish was very tender. Think I enjoyed it more than the scallops. Fries- Judging from the pics, i thought the fries would taste like shit. But they were surprisingly well done as well. Prob still frozen, but at least they werent burnt or overcooked or old. Overall, its a lil pricey but i feel all fish and chip joints kinda are. The fish is all cooked directly to order, and the pieces are always thick and moist. I find that two pieces makes a good meal. There's a slight tinge of Chinese style to the breading, but it's not the heavy breading of traditional Chinese-American fried food, but much lighter. Food comes in a basket, and they bring you a plastic fork and a selection of sauce bottles (including malt vinegar, soy sauce, etc.) with the order.
