    1) Butter Chicken Shawarma On Fries

I wished I had this place closer to me because it was so yummy! We shared a plate of the butter chicken fries, and it filled us both up. Service was quick, and we will definitely be back to try their other items.

Friendly service, amazing food!! I literally said omg MMMM when I took my first bite, I loved it!! They also have daily specials that is super worth it! This is their Wednesday special which is a half and half with gyro and it's so delicious and the portion sizes are amazing too! I'll definitely get it again

I didn't plan to come here yesterday but it was unplanned and surprisingly the food was too good. The restaurant was not over crowded but there were a lot of takeouts, being a single serving person he was very fast talking the orders as well as preparing the food and also with the billing. The restaurant was also pretty clean. I was not aware of the food here so I randomly ordered a platter of chicken kabab and 6 pieces of falafel separately for takeout. To my surprise the food was delicious, the quantity was enough for two people having good apatite. I really enjoyed being here and will continue coming here for sure.

I come here for the Shaq Fries with butter chicken frequently because I live nearby. It's one of my current comfort food obsessions. The portion is huge and they currently have a special for butter chicken fries every Friday, making it just $13ish with a drink. Such a steal in this economy!! The shawarma is also delicious and I always ask for extra sauce. Call ahead for takeout to avoid those doordash fees.

We came here for lunch on a Tuesday and were not disappointed! It is right on El Camino Real and there is a small parking lot. It is clean and the staff are friendly and there's ample seating inside. We ordered the: Chicken/Butter Chicken Platter with half fries and half rice. It came with a fluffy/hot/fresh pita bread, hummus, and a nice serving of salad. The butter chicken was really tasty as well as the chicken Shawarma. Everything was so flavorful and fresh! We will definitely be back-- and will try the daily specials.

I only ever come here for the ShaQ fries. They are soooo good!! I've tried their chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, lamb & beef gyro, and butter chicken meat options for their ShaQ fries and they are all delicious. My personal favorite is the gyro. The fries are perfectly saucy. I'm craving some as I write this! I keep meaning to try their rice plates, but I just keep gravitating towards these fries!!

We were craving some Mediterranean food, and we found it. I had never noticed this restaurant, and it's right across from two places we frequent: pharmacy and pho. It's a small restaurant, but it seems popular based on all the to go orders that were picked up within the hour that we stayed to eat. The place looked clean and the trash was clean nor filled (good sign of routines) We ordered: Two platters One with lamb chops One with chicken kabob The food tasted well. Thoroughly cooked and hot. the platter came with rice, hummus, fresh salad, and pita bread. We ordered a mango shake and an order of baklava. The staff were friendly. We received both a greeting and a farewell at departure. I recommend this place if you're looking for something to take home for dinner that's simple, filling, and delicious. If you're in the area for lunch, I recommend ordering ahead so you can Enjoy your lunch time.

Was craving Mediterranean food and wanted to try a new spot. Upon entering, it was super clean and lots of tables. There were so many choices, but I was craving salad and I was so impressed with the portion size. Everything was delicious from the pita bread to the hummus. Definitely will come back.

ShaQ (no relation to the man) is like a hybrid Mediterranean and Indian quick takeout place with some sit-down tables and booths and monthly discounted specials. Even without discounts, the prices are pretty affordable, and they're generous with portions! They are located right across a huge car wash that's fun to watch if you're waiting for your food, and have their own convenient parking lot and cute patio tables in front. - Combo Lamb/Beef The lamb and beef shawarma was surprisingly plump and tender! It was doused in half yogurt sauce and half creamy tomato curry. - Combo Chicken/Butter Chicken The chicken shawarma was a little harder in texture than expected, but still good with the tangy and creamy yogurt sauce - they were like slightly hardened cut up chicken breast pieces. The butter chicken was very tender and more enjoyable than the shawarma. Both of these platters came with delicious yellow rice, salad, hummus, a random piece of potato, and pita bread that was delightfully chewy and dense. The hummus had a very thin and runny consistency but was flavored well, and the salad was my least favorite item of the platters because the seasoning was too sweet and did not mix well - it tasted like an Italian vinaigrette. I understand the hype with ShaQ in terms of a convenient, quick, and value meal. For my personal preference, there is too much sauce for me to enjoy their main staple items fully, but everything was cooked well and had good flavor.

I drive past ShaQ all the time, but haven't tried it! Finally decided to order takeout and I really enjoyed the food! We ordered online and the food was ready in about 15 minutes. The beef shawarma half and half came with rice and fries and drizzled with sauce on top. The chicken tikka masala was solid too, with large chunks of chicken breast. It came with hummus and a cucumber salad. Both plates tasted delicious and satisfied our craving. I'm sometimes skeptical of ordering takeout since the food isn't as fresh as eating there, but I definitely will be ordering take out here again.

This is one of my go to spots and I always get the half and half special platter because you can do half rice and half fries and I usually get it with butter chicken which is so flavorful and comforting every time. The service is great and the staff is always super welcoming. I do think the ambiance could be improved by modernizing it a bit or making it feel more cozy but honestly I still keep coming back because the food is just that good.

The indoor/outdoor seating is enjoyable, and they offer average prices for this type of food, though it is an order at the counter place. My meal was a bit of a mixed bag. The falafel was good, though a little dry and needed sauce to balance it out. My gyro was super messy, overly smothered, and ultimately lacked a flavorful punch. The pita chips were, let's say, robust and not at all delicate and crinkly. And I was disappointed by the mango lassi, as it was simply store-bought rather than freshly made. But if you are looking for a classic spot with a historic vibe and nice outdoor seating, it is worth trying, but the food didn't quite live up to the hype for me.

The gyro meat was soft and tasty but on the salty side. The Hummus was good especially topped with the chili sauce and pita. The salad has a vinaigrette dressing which had sweet citrus flavor; complemented the other items on the plate. The Basmati rice was yummy, with butter flavor. The Falafel was soft almost fluffy inside vs dense. The outer fried layer had a nutty taste with cumin with slight spicy flavor. The Beek Kabab was ok. A bit tough but good seasoning. Also a bit expensive for $21 with only about 5 pieces of beef chunks. The Cheeseburger was ok. We got: - dolmades mezes starter: it was warm and had beef in it which was unexpected -- I'm almost certain we had a different version of these before that did not have meat and were served cold, I have never really loved these lol but my partner has really enjoyed the cold version before because he found it really refreshing. The warm one was interesting, still enjoyable to him but not as much as before - beef souvlaki plate with fries instead of salad: I loved this! I asked for no lettuce, and the server said I could switch out the salad for fries instead. The beef was so tender and flavored well, super savory, and I absolutely LOVE the olive dip that comes with this dish. The fries were okay! I enjoyed dipping them into the olive dip. - swordfish souvlaki wrap no lettuce with fruit: option to get fries instead, but we got fruit. My mom liked it! I tried some of the swordfish and it had a nice light flavor, quite tender and very nice. I've also gotten the grilled branzini before, which is a whole entire fish. Warning that you may need to use your hands to eat this directly lol I really enjoyed this dish too! When we arrived, they mentioned we could sit anywhere we wanted. There was both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outdoors so it was a tad warm but they provide shade. There is a tent as well with a plastic surrounding but as for any restaurant with these plastic surroundings, I always find the plastic smell so strong and offputting, so we sat at the tables instead where they have umbrellas providing a lot of shade. We sat next to a bougainvillea bush which also provides us shade and some entertainment as little birds hopped back and forth inside the bush and then out of it to nearby tables, looking for food. So cute! Parking can be found in the lot behind the restaurant, but the entrance is still found around the other side of the building, on the side of the outdoor seating. You can also park on the side of the street in front of the restaurant, but there's less shade. We arrived at a 3pm on a Friday with almost no one else there, so once our whole party was present we got service immediately. The food takes some time to cook but as mentioned, it's delicious. Overall a really cute restaurant!

There was a good balance of crispy and mushy fries. Tastes really good with the toum and the tahini sauce. The wrap is a bit dry but the flavors are still good.
