Had the Gyro Plate, Beef Kabab Plate, and Falafel. My friend had the Cheeseburger. Gyro came with sliced of well seasoned gyro, pita bread, hummus, small salad and basmati rice. The gyro meat was soft and tasty but on the salty side. The Hummus was good especially topped with the chili sauce and pita. Chili sauce tasted like chili and salsa mixed together; added a little spice and slight sweetness. Pita was soft, fluffy inside and toasty grilled outside. The salad has a vinaigrette dressing which had sweet citrus flavor; complemented the other items on the plate. The Basmati rice was yummy, with butter flavor. The Falafel was soft almost fluffy inside vs dense. The outer fried layer had a nutty taste with cumin with slight spicy flavor. The Beek Kabab was ok. A bit tough but good seasoning. Also a bit expensive for $21 with only about 5 pieces of beef chunks. The Cheeseburger was ok. They had the self serve water cooler by the window so it doesn't really stay cold because it's directly hit by the sun. Good place to get food to go. You order using the kiosk tablet. Stopped by Falafel Flare in Sunnyvale since I recently started working in the area. It's located in a strip mall off Mathilda Ave, next to Lucky's and Starbucks. There's indoor seating and a few tables outside. I ordered at the self-service kiosk, and my food came out in a reasonable amount of time. They offer burgers and wraps too but I went with the falafel plate and it was actually better than expected. The falafels were crispy, and there was plenty of hummus and pita to go with it. Food is 3 stars but taking off one star as they didn't give us pitas. I usually go to dish n dash near by so wanted to see if this place is as good as the reviews say but wasn't up to 4.5 stars. we got combo platter(chicken & gryro) & gyro platter for takeout. Ordering was easy with kiosk and food was ready after 10 mins. We confirmed we have sauce, napkins and utensil and drove back home. But when we opened the box, we realized they didn't give us any pitas.. food was just enough to fill me up (80% without pitas) but meat was too salty. The sauce they gave us was yum yum sauce which only makes it more salty.. I thought they usually give spicy chillies& yogurt sauce? Mango lassi tasted good but a bit small portion. The person who brought us food was nice so overall I would give 3.5 stars but taking off 1 as they forgot to give us pitas for both of our meals. read more

I ordered the Chicken Platter. It had hummus, pita, chicken, and some salad. I chose to get it mildly spicy. It was spicy for me. I'm not good with spice so I recommend non-spice lovers to get spicy. I enjoyed it. The chicken was marinated well and not too salty and sweet. The hummus tasted great with the pita. The salad helped to balance out the meal. My meal came out quickly. There's a lot of parking outside. I came in on a Sunday afternoon. My friend and I were the only ones there. Definitely a great place to meet friends, family, or go on a date! read more

My friend and I shared their the flame platter, which is a combination of the gyro, chicken, and falafel on top of rice with pita and hummus. We also ordered a side of fries. Once ordering, there is quite a bit of a wait, so I wouldn't come here if you're in a big rush. Lunch on the weekdays seem to be pretty filled but clear out around 1 PM. The gyro, falafel, pita and hummus were definitely standouts for me. The falafel has a thinner, crisp exterior, which I actually prefer because I feel like you can actually taste the falafel. I think they butter their pitas too, which makes it have better flavor. On the other hand, I did feel like the chicken was pretty dry, the rice was a little under seasoned (works when you bite everything but tastes a little bland on its own), and the fries could use a couple more minutes in the fryer. Overall, pretty solid place. I can see why people would come here during lunch. I'd probably just get the gyro lunch platter with a side of falafel next time but am glad I got to try a bunch of things read more

Very poor customer service. The employee behind the counter (glasses, light beard) had a rude attitude from the start. Our order was incomplete, and when we asked about the missing items, he insisted that was all we ordered. After we showed him the receipt, he abruptly told us to "wait five minutes." He also handed the fries over the counter instead of bringing them to our table. The restaurant wasn't even busy--we were the only customers--so there was no excuse for the confusion or the attitude. Our 19th hole was here after a round of golf at nearby Sunnyvale Golf Course. The eight of us sat outdoors at one of two picnic tables. Ordering process - either with the cashier at the counter or at the self kiosk. If you order at the counter you're given a number. Later our order was brought to us. Hubby and I took an quick look at one of several laminated menus on the counter. He went with the grilled chicken salad and I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap. The orders were very similar. It's a very unassuming restaurant. I thought I was in the wrong place at first because I was confused by the vibe of the place. Without reading the reviews, I would've thought it was an overpriced, fast-food type of place. You order by yourself via the kiosk (no one was at the cashier counter when we arrived). Then, choose your own table and sit down. Since we were quoted a 15 min-ish wait, my bf and I decided to make a quick run to Lucky's first. When we came back, we just chose a random table to sit down. The lady working there took notice and brought us our plates & utensils. Everything else is pretty much self-serve. I love that they have to-go boxes on the side. It made it easy for me to do portion control (by reminding me that I can just take leftover home). I thought that the entrees were a bit pricey though (~$18). The portion and quality of the entrees were not bad, but I've had better shawarma platters. read more

We were looking for good gyros nearby and my daughter found this place. We got there super early to pick up dinner and was greeted promptly as we entered. They have a kiosk in the front, which made the ordering quite easy. We were able to order and leave to pick up some other items in the same complex since they would text us when our order was ready. We ordered: - Falafel Wrap - Gyro Wrap - free baklava with yelp check in The owner was super friendly when we picked up the food to go. Falafel flame is in my top 3 go-to restaurants for dinner on a weekday. The food is so delicious and consistent every time. It's decent if you get it delivered, but nothing beats eating it there, hot and fresh! I have tried both the burgers and the plates, can't go wrong with either. For the burger I'd recommend the Texan burger that has BBQ sauce because the sauce is very well done, it has the right tang and flavor for BBQ sauce and the meat is cooked very well. I love the grilled onion and pepper mixture they put in it as well, complements the bbq sauce perfectly. If you get fries on the side the best part is you can dip them in the bbq sauce drippings from the burger, now that's a pro tip! I'd also highly recommend the chicken plate. Everything on the plate is well thought out and delicious. The salad has a nice light honey mustard dressing, the basmati rice is seasoned and cooked to perfection, the pita it comes with is warm and every so slightly crisp and the chicken is beautifully cooked and drizzled with a special white garlic sauce. They also give you a hot sauce and yogurt sauce on the side which is great to dip each bite in (if they don't give you these sauces make sure to ask for them on the side!) Service: I always get helped right away and they are very accommodating with requests like extra sauce and sometimes I even order ahead for dine in! Like I basically call in saying I'll be there in 15 mins and I want to eat there and then when I get there the food is ready and served asap :) Pricing is average, you're going to spend about $20-$25 for a solid meal here and they don't skimp so it's worth it. Ingredients are also a cut above so that's nice. As for ambiance, it's not the prettiest spot, but the seating is comfortable and they always have a table available. They could benefit from a proper central air heating/cooling system and the floors should probably be changed at some point, but they do decent job keeping the place generally clean though. With so many positives, you must wonder...why the 3 stars then? The reason for the 1 star deduction is the price. Considering the fact that it's a self-order and self-serve place, the prices are definitely on the higher side. After 17 minutes I finally received the text alert saying my food was ready. I waited at the counter a few more minutes for someone to acknowledge me. Once I got their attention I asked for my order and they said 10 more minutes. I showed them the text alert and the guy shrugged and walked away. Can't speak for the food, but 30-minutes for the order and no explanation plus little acknowledgement or concern for customer service is a non-starter for me. Place was empty, they had a few takeout orders, a dirty table that had been like that since I arrived. Came her looking for some good chicken shawarma and I was so happy I did. It was pretty empty on a Monday night around 6:45PM but the overall experience was pretty great. We ordered a chicken wrap and a falafel wrap and they told us it'd be about 5 mins. We sat down and they brought us our wraps with a side of tahini and chili sauce for each. Additionally, the smooth hummus and warm, pillowy nann were delicious together. The dish felt perfectly balanced because of the tangy vinaigrette on the salad which brought a lightness to the dish. The Gyro wrap is elite. I'm sure the plate version is as well. I've ordered it twice recently and loved it. While this is a 5 star for me since it's by far and away better than the other highly-rated Mediterranean places in the area, it's not without it's flaws. Finally tried Falafel Flame for dinner, and it was pretty good. I ordered over the phone for pick up, and my partner had no issues picking up at the quoted time. I My partner and I tried the flame burger, bad ma'ash fries, gyro platter, and chicken wings. The flame burger was not bad. We didn't know what was on the bad ma'ash fries, and since it was gyro meat, I don't recommend getting a gyro platter as well! The fries were probably my favorite of the meal. The gyro platter was fairly large. We asked for the sauce on the side for the wings, and they stayed crispy. Prices are pretty high here though, hence the 3 star rating. I had sticker shock upon paying. Would be back if I want something quick nearby but it's not my go-to with the prices unfortunately. read more

I was working in the area and decided to try out this place during lunch. I ordered at the counter, got my drink, and found a table to sit at. While I was waiting for my food. I noticed a few customers who came in after me had ordered, waited, and got their meal before i did. So, after waiting 20-25 minutes, and no food. I decided to walk back up and ask about my order. The guy who i ordered originally from was busy talking to another guy, so i patiently waited from them to finish or pause. The guy who took my order was not the one to stop and ask, "Can i help you?", but the new person did. When I said I hadn't gotten my order yet, and i've waited over 25 minutes. The guy who took my order said, "he forgot," inferring that the cook forgot and would make it. But it wasn't like he was apologetic or sorry. Though the other guy there only said my order would be quickly up. He offered me a choice to pick any Turkish Delight while I waited for them to finish my order. Chicken Wrap: marinated chicken slices topped with tzatziki sauce, house garlic white sauce, and veggies wrapped in a soft pita bread. It's a bit pricey for the portion and size. It was not anything special. I doused it with hot sauce and more garlic white sauce. Turkish Delight: Pomegranate and pistachio. Not overly sweet, but delicate and very enjoyable. SO much like my endless quest for the best burger, great falafel has been an elusive target at least here in the SF Bay Area. However, thanks to my son who is on a Mediterranean'ish food kick, we decided to give Falafel Flame a try. WOW! we came away impressed. This review encompasses two separate trips. First off the customer service is fantastic. The owner is friendly and personable, the establishment is clean, and the food comes out quick but complete which in these takeout days is a huge plus! The food: Philly Wrap: SO good! look at my age nothing says "The Buyers Remorse" like a Phillycheese. I love them but my system cannot handle taking one down anymore. But since my son wanted one we gave it a shot. OMG was it good. Sub in the gyro meat for the sketchy beef other places use, plus cheese, onions and peppers and it was the perfect bite. The richness of the cheese and the super tasty meat, plus the other furnishing made it perfect. The pita held up to the juicy onslaught as well. Falafel Platter: Again awesome!. Perfectly fried falafel with plenty of parsley, just the right amount of cumin. And when I say perfectly fried, they were crunchy on the inside and moist but properly done on the inside. The hummus again had that perfect consistency as well a again just the right amount of cumin. Combo Platter: Tender lamb properly spiced and perfectly cooked chicken. Not much to add to this. Rice: Its usually an afterthought but the batsmati rice was cooked in what I describe as Persian style (lose and not sticky) with some turmeric seasoned grains scattered about. The spicy sauce had just the right amount of heat and had a thick consistency. The white sauce was yogurt based and did a great job of cutting the richness of the proteins. I really love mediterranean food and I consider myself a fan, so I had to try this place out after seeing the reviews. Honestly, the ambience is a little bit offsetting. Feels like casual american fare. The menu reflects it with some questionable options for a mediterranean eatery, like burgers and fries. But oh man, I was surprised when I ordered the chicken chili kabob and took my first bite. It literally blew me away- it had a perfect combo of spices and tenderness, and a great chicken taste. Possibly one of the best things I've had at a mediterranean restauraunt. The naan is soft and the hummus pairs well with it. Without a doubt I will come again! read more
