My mother decided she wanted to celebrate Mother's Day a day early. She also decided she wanted Greek food and found this place. So, I looked it up on here and it seemed legit. This place is nestled in an industrial neighborhood and is probably really booming during the work week. We arrived around 1PM and there was a larger party of maybe 12 and another party of 4 and us...party of 9. There is patio seating and plenty of indoor seating. There was plenty of parking as they have a parking lot dedicated to their restaurant. Their menu is substantial. All the usual suspects of falafel, kufta, chicken and beef kabobs, humus & pita, etc. We ordered the following: 1. Sword fish plate: which was served with rice and vegetables. The fish was perfectly grilled and a great sized filet. 2. Falafel pita & falafel plate: the pita came with fries the plate came with veggies and rice. Both of the guests of our party that ordered these were quite happy with their order. 3. Beef kabob: these were large cubes of beef, that were seasoned well and grilled perfectly. You get a full skewer on a bed of rice and a side of vegetables. 4. Kufta kebob: which I ordered, and it was a large sized kabob that was bursting with flavor and juicy. On a bed of rice and a side of veggies. I wish they served basmati rice or a long grain rice and that the veggies were just grilled without the sauce. I felt the tomato sauce it was covered it overpowered the natural flavors of the array of veggies on the plate. 5. My mom ordered a 3pc lamb chops plate, and it typically comes over a bed of fries, but we substituted it for rice, and it came with the same side of veggies as the rest of ours. She said it was good and the size of the chops was decent. 6. I got there kind of late so the first half of our party ordered appetizers that we didn't get to try but I ordered an order of fried calamari and I must say my favorite part was what I think was a kalamata olive aioli. It was delicious! Will need to replicate at home. All in all, we were pleased and left satisfied and more importantly full. I'm sure we will be back! read more

Tried out this restaurant on a Friday, after a long week and not wanting to cook. For whatever reason, I did not have high expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Atmosphere is casual and inviting. Service was nice and warm. Food was simple but tasty- nothing fancy, and you feel good during and afterwards. We had a very nice dinner at Agape Grill. Be forewarned that they are closed each week day between 2:30 and 5:00, they not open for dinner on Saturdays, and are closed on Sundays. The service is prompt and friendly, and there is plenty of room inside, as well as outdoor seating. Their hummus is excellent, one of the best I have ever had, and the pita served with it was warm and soft. I ordered the babaganoush, which was good, side of veggies, which was very good, and a beef gyro, which came unconstructed with pita slices, tomato that yogurt sauce. The meat was like a ground beef cut in thin slices. It was pretty good. My husband had a kabab meal, which also had a form of ground beef, which came with rice, veggies, and a side salad with oil & vinegar dressing. He really liked his food. FOOD was delicious! Salad had yummy dressing. The steak was cooked perfectly and the kebab was not chewy. The baklava is made in house. The bill was around $62 total. SERVICE the server was good and no complaints there. INSIDE is big!! They must have banquets and celebrations here based on how big it is inside. My friend and I didn't have to make a reservation on a Thursday night because they have so much seating. PARKING was easy they have a small lot. They're located within the commercial area. The Chicken Souvlaki is solid, juicy and not overcooked. The Beef Souvlaki is ok, big chunks of meat and the cut probably makes it slightly hard to chew but it's still ok. Hummus is fresh. Rice Pilaf has less carrots shreds than other restaurants but not too bad. Food service came on time. Not a lot of veggie offering and can't go wrong with a fresh salad of mostly lettuce. read more

Agape Grill is on my lunch list. It's used to visit Athena Grill but that place has a ridiculous line now and a horrible parking situation with a fraction of the seating this place has. Everything else is the same. You get in line and order your food, pay, and find a place to sit. While waiting, the waiter will bring you a pitcher of water and some pita with hummus. In less than 10 mins, your food is brought out to you. I love their Gyro wrap which is the right portion for lunch. It's loaded with beef and comes with a nice heap of garlic fries on the side. My other go-to is the Biftekia appetizer. Now don't be misled. This "appetizer" is actually a full size portion. It comes with 4 patties of beef patties that's loaded with flavor. And it's super juicy and tender too. This also comes with a side of garlic fries for about $15. Since this place is huge there is never a wait for a seat. It's open seating so you can find a small intimate table or a large long one if you wanna bring your team. read more

I've been telling my fiance that I've been craving a falafel the last couple of days and he recommended we check this place out since he came here with some co-workers. A solid mediterranean restaurant! Food: I ordered the Kefta Kebab and my fiance ordered the Brizola. They also serve bread prior to your meal and so I ended up not ordering a falafel after all LOL. Both portions were perfect for lunch and dinner. The Kefta was nicely seasoned and the ratio between vegetable and kebab was lovely. The bread was made to order so it was also fresh and I liked mixing it with my kebab and vegetables. Service: Such nice, kind servers. Both the host and server greeted us and had a small conversation with us. We came for dinner and it wasn't too busy since peak hours are lunch for them. They took our order, refilled our waters, and gave us our check & to-go boxes promptly. We didn't feel rushed either, which was nice. Location: There is a parking lot in the back and outdoor and indoor seating. Plenty of seats, it was a large restaurant! Felt almost like the size of 2 restaurants. I saw Cherylynn N.'s review about Agape Grill a while back and realized that I still had not given them a try yet. I was really craving a gyro the other day so I figured better late than never and stopped by before going grocery shopping. The restaurant is located in between different office buildings and is in a little quiet area undisturbed by any other food related businesses. They have plenty of outdoor seating and a small parking lot. I had placed my order of their gyro plate over the phone and by the time I got there, it was ready to go, total costing a little over $18 before tip. The lady was so friendly and was handling 3 different customers at the same time but doing it with ease. My first impression when I opened the bag was everything smelled amazing AND the portions are insane. My gyro plate was loaded with pita, a ton of gyro slices, onions and tomatoes, fresh fries, and 2 different sauces (tzatziki and an olive based sauce I think). Then packaged separately was more fresh pita with a side of hummus and a small box of their fully loaded Greek salad (lettuce, feta, tomatoes, olives, onions, and dressing). I was so shocked because for the price, this is unheard of anywhere else in the Bay Area. The food was extremely impressive and made of great quality. No matter how much I ate or how fast I ate (and I was starving this day), there was still so much food left over. The gyro slices were thick, tender, and packed with flavor. It went well with the warm pita underneath and some of that fresh onion and tomato. I was alternating between the tzatziki sauce and olive sauce and they all tasted so good together. I didn't even get to eat the other side of pita and hummus or salad because I was so full, but I still had enough food leftover for a small meal the next day. I am blown away by my experience at Agape Grill and I know I will be back again soon and probably quite often. read more

My cognitive dissonance associating with the Valentine's Day made me believe the food I ate has to be scrumptious, but the truth is, after soaking in my taste memory on the Spanakopita. The food is indeed well below mediocrity. The phyllo crust was soggy, the contents inside were old, unfreshly-made, unrefined and odd-tasted. I believe they were pre-made (perhaps by days), but at least re-toast it and make it hot and crispy before sending it out to customer. The food I received was COLD and old. I pretend to like it because I self-deceive, hey it's the lovely Valentine's day so suck it up. But It's just bad! Yuck! My polite comment of "good food!" on the way out proves humans do "people pleasing." I don't like the food! How can you get it wrong as a Greek restaurant which specializes in Greek food? I made Phyllo anything much better than you guys and I am not even a Greek! The key is to make it fresh. Even if you pre- made, remember to toast it back nice and crispy. That should be a piece of cake - no pun intended. Salad has chunky cuts (I get it, to preserve their freshness through the day, but how about my eating pleasure?) of veggies on my plate and I didn't get the days-old stewed version from my husband's plate. Must be my lucky day? Service was a mixed bag. The ladies treated me better. The male server served me last and as usual I didn't like it. Why can't a woman get her food first when both dishes are served at the same time? Don't you guys respect your mother more? :) Totally my bad to recommend my date to take me to Agape as no care and/or attention was given to the food preparation/presentation. I wish I was closer to Agape Grill as I love their gyro plate. The only thing I didn't realize was now much garlic was in this plate and we all know....I'm garlic sensitive. But screw it! I popped a Pepsid and just suffered the consequences. And it was still delicious. Service is the same great service and we've never actually eaten in and always taken to-go. They have a tiny parking lot but it's okay we've never had issues finding parking. read more

Order first at the front, regardless of dine in or takeout. The interior at the front was just okay, but the aesthetic of the dine-in area is very nice. As the other reviews already mentioned, this place is very spacious inside. They have a banquet sitting area in the back. It seems like it'd be a great place to dine with a huge group of people. We came at 11:30am ish on a Saturday, but we were the only table there. The lady at the front was very nice and welcoming when she found out it was our first time there. She was helpful with the recommendations as well. She said a lot of people order their gyro plate because that's what most people are familiar with. She also recommended their lamb and kebabs, as well as the moussaka. Too bad I don't like eggplants, or else I would've tried that. They have great dine-in service. Usually, I expect no/mediocre service if we place orders at the front and choose our own table. However, everything else (the service) felt like it was a formal dine in service. They brought water pitcher to us, but they help us fill our initial cups. We got fresh pitas + dip, followed by individual plates of salad before receiving our entree. It's not just those small side salads, it was a full sized plate. They also check in on us periodically to make sure everything's good. I loved their salad. The seasoning was great. As for the entree, I ordered beef tender but I wasn't too impressed with the beef itself (too hard to chew/too chewy). I really liked the seasoned vegetable and rice it came with though. I used to come here a lot with a group of 6-8 co-workers, which they can accommodate well and even larger groups. Just make a reservation. They have a large indoor dining area and patio dining also at the front. I met an old coworker here--and it's been well over three years since I'd been here--and it was nice to see that the same employees are still there. They have a very extensive menu to accommodate all palates. They have a large plexiglass that hangs in front of the length of the cashier desk from top to bottom to continue to stay safe. I ordered off their white board menu behind the cashier that isn't on the regular menu but they offer fairly regularly. You get pita bread and hummus as a complimentary appetizer. I ordered the Pastitsio (a traditional pasta dish made with ground beef and bechamel sauce), served with vegetables, and opted for salad instead of soup. I forgot to ask to have the salad on a separate plate because they serve the entree, vegetables, and salad all on one plate; and since the vegetables are soupy (not steamed), it makes your salad soggy. The experience was excellent- they offered us warm pita with hummus, greek salad, and our entrees were very filling. I tried 3 meats- the chicken tender, beef kofta, and beef tender. Chicken was excellent, it had great taste, a lil grilled crunch, and was juicy. Likewise for the beef kofta. The beef tender was a little too chewy and missed the mark for me. My partner picked up lunch from here a few weeks back, and we were both pleasantly surprised. The portions are very generous, and I didn't know this place was so close by. I got the gyro plate, which was a large portion and really tasty. It has a good amount of sauce and lots of fries! The hummus was also delicious with the great amount of pita provided.
