Chicken 10 Party Wings
Calvin T.

During those long classroom sessions at Mission College, Halal Fried Chicken quickly became the spot I had my eye on. It was close and convenient, and people have been raving about it. I gave it a shot, and honestly, it really delivered on its promise to serve bold, flavorful fried chicken. I got myself the Bouncer ($15) and an 8 pc. Party Wings ($10) with Mango Habanero sauce. Bouncer (5/5) This chicken burger has more going for it than you'd expect at first glance. I've never had a chicken burger with melted cheese before, but if you are hesitant to try it, let me be the first to tell you that it works. Cheese and fried chicken is a known Pakistani combination. The special spread blends well with the cheese to provide that creaminess that ties everything together. Oh, and that chicken's got crunch to it. Very tender and memorable. Can't go wrong with the fries. Party Wings (4/5) You get a whole chicken fried and served. Enjoyable! The wings have a good crunch to them, and the ratio between batter and meat is right. There's no excess oil dripping, but your fingers will be oily after you're finished. There are plenty of sauces to choose from, and I chose the mango habanero sauce which has a sweet kick. Coat those wings well. If you ever run out, the service will provide you extra. On my first visit, I met the owner, Waqar, who personally served my food. He is kind, friendly, and passionate about his business as any good owner should be. I would like to support his business more with time. Halal Fried Chicken is worth checking out. I know I'll be back for more.

First off, shout out to this place for being a chicken place that's open past 8pm. I don't know why, but most in the area closed early and sometimes you have that Chicken Craving. Anyways, came on a Tuesday late night around 8:30pm and placed an order for a Chicken Wrap (Sixer) since this is all I've been craving. So I waited about 10 minutes and my order was ready. The shop was pretty empty since most people were just ordering online and picking up. I got the store to myself and was able to have a nice plate full of fries and the wraps themselves. Really glad they cook the fries to order and it's not sitting around waiting to be hopefully picked up. Reminded me of McDonalds fries but better. As for the wrap, I wish they would've kept the wrap whole instead of cut in half as there were little shards of aluminum stuck in my wrap which worried me about eating. Which resulted in me picking off some before I continued eating. Besides all that, very saucy, very moist and tender, and the wrap was very fluffy and flaky. They really knocked it out of the park with this one. My only gripe, is I wish they would've made this a combo with a drink as the price was a lil higher than I would've thought for just fries and the wraps themselves. Regardless will be back when I'm in the area again!

A bit disappointing about the fried chickens. I didn't taste any spice nor feel special about the chickens. The sauce also not tastes very good. My taste bud give me a bad vibe. I tried to add the pasta salad and mix with the fried chickens. It doesn't helping too much, nor improve the taste. The chicken skin is too dry , sorry.

THIS FRIED CHICKEN PLACE IS AMAZING! Food comes out extremely fast and fried chicken is so crispy, juicy, and flavorful. There are various combo deals to choose from. Mine came with a tender, a burger, cajun fries, and a drink. The chicken is better than all the other fried chicken places I've tried. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The portions are hefty and you will be full after. The staff is so nice as well!

The flavor of the Korean chicken was delicious. The crunchiness of the wings were also good. Some of our chicken pieces were a pink in the middle so we were unable to fully enjoy our chicken. The waffle was a little greasy as it was on top of a bed of soggy fries. Service at the store was prompt and polite. No one was in the store when we ordered so we decided to opt for take out. It was also a little warm inside so it was a little uncomfortable to dine in. Would come again for the flavor of the food.

I've ordered in a couple of times from this place, and had mixed experiences. I thought the chicken was breaded really well and tender the first time, and I got a side of fries with my Yorker burger. The second time, I ordered an extra side of their Cajun fries along with my bouncer burger. I was expecting to get two fries (one with the burger itself) but got only the Cajun fries. I was also not as fond of the chicken itself, and thought that the fries/burger were a tad messy. Maybe it had something to do with me doing delivery. I'll try dine in next time. Averaging out my two reviews (4, 2) to 3 stars for now. I'll give them another try, in person.

Tried this on way home from SF with teenager son. All I can say is wow and go now. Possible the best fried chicken sandwich ever. Huge portions, super nice owner. Located in a really old strip mall in Sunnyvale but don't let that scare you away. Try it, you'll LOVE it!

Chicken Tenders w/Fries

I decided to stop by HFC for lunch after my class with my friend, and it was totally worth it! We ordered the 5-piece fried chicken with medium spice it was crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. They even gave us a complimentary side of fries, which was a nice surprise! Great and quick service and delicious halal fried chicken. Definitely coming back again.

If you're looking for a fried chicken spot with a different flair, this place is worth checking out. Definitely more of a "dry crunch" place, but with a more curry-esque flavor profile that distinguishes it from most other spots that are more Nashville style. My brother and I liked them enough that after a take out order we basically went right back for more in person! Ready parking in the sizable lot, even on Saturdays at peak hours, so an even better reason to give these guys a try. Service staff in person were also very polite and friendly; it's more of a fast casual place so our interactions were limited, but nothing unusual about the place. If you're here, I'm the fried chicken is definitely where it's at, but I do like their sandwiches and basically come in classic (bouncer), classic + double patty (beamer) and classic + salami (yorker). Spiciness at a medium was rather... not spicy at all (I could barely feel it) so the scale is skewed lower here, so order up a level or two for your spicy tolerance. They also have a number of deals that are pretty good value and I noticed a few seasonal specials around the shop front. ==Chicken Sandwiches 5/5 Overall, it's a wonderfully balanced sandwich and caters more to a South-Asian palate. The textures are a bit more crunchy focused than a moist crunch as the patties were definitely thinly cut than other spots. The cheese, slaw, and sauce definitely makes for a rich combo with more notes of cumin/cinnamon than celery (I swear their sauce tastes of tamarind?). Bread could've used a bit more to compliment it as a whole (like a bit more toasting), but is otherwise a nice fresh roll. The salami adds a really nice kick of flavor with each bite and I'm quite fond of the yorker myself. ==Fries - 3/5 These guys were average (in sizing and quality), but if you get the Cajun iterant they're pretty well seasoned with plenty of spice. Just crisp enough if you get them fresh, but nothing too special otherwise.

It has been open for about 2 years now and I have been going ever since, so as you can tell this review has been long overdue. The chicken consistency and taste has always been really good. I love me some fried chicken sandwich! It's juicy and my go to spot in Sunnyvale. The people at the counter are always nice as well.

Social media strikes again…read more.. I came across a reel on IG featuring Iraklis. The food looked intriguing and scrumptious...in other words FIRE! I would not have known about this place if it wasn't for the reel. I'm also not familiar with Syrian and Lebanese cuisine. Thought I'd give it a shot. Not the biggest of venues, it a bit small on the inside, they have few benches and tables outside. Parking wasn't an issue, plenty of spaces in the parking lot. The staff was very helpful and informative. This is a fast casual spot with table service. They do bring the food to you, but you can help yourself to everything else afterwards, is: water, sauces, napkins etc. #SyrianEats: WRAP: ~ SHAWARMA: Damascus style CHICKEN - 5/5 Absolutely DELISH!! Love the garlic spread that came on the side. The wrap was already tasty enough, but somehow it was even tastier with the Garlic spread. Even the fries that came with it were spectacular! That drizzle pomegranate molasses... just DELISH!! This was one of the best wraps I had Stateside. Actually the best! PLATE: ~ MANSAF - 5/5 The Lamb shank was excellent as well! Tender fall of the bone with flavor galore, and the butter sauce was amazing as well...delish! The rice that came with the Lamb shank was OK. It was probably good, but the flavor profile didn't stand up to the rest of the food. I thought it could use more flavor, but that just me nitpicking... 4.5 ***** rounded up to 5***** for me This food here is amazing. I'll be back...

Alot of people have said that the Syrian version is the best I know I needed to try it. Behold Iraklis ended up being only five minutes from my house. I remember that this place used to be so many other restaurants, and now has been replaced by this great place. You know the food is going to be good when the owner or manager comes out to ask you how the food is to each costumer. I felt that warmth for sure. As for the food it was very delicious the stand out was of course was rmthe shawarma I got chicken which came with the pomegranate molasses, which was good, but maybe next time I can ask for a little less because I do want to also try the chicken flavor itself, which is why I also for the chicken kakbab on the side to which was very well seasoned and delicious. The pickles and hummus on the side for both plates are a very nice touch they help cut some of the richness down. The fries are the underrated gem also. The way they are fried and cooked here, I think they do fresh batches every time, that is the vibe I get with this place. The hibiscus juice was also really refreshing to drink. It's a small place but most of the tables were all seated by people, and people were coming in and ordering to go, so you know it's good! Definitely give this place a try!

My boyfriend and I ended up here after attempting to go to Treehouse nearby (which had an hour wait--unsurprising given the concept). This restaurant was a short walk away, which actually worked out well given how congested the area was, and we walked in optimistic. The space itself is very large, but nearly empty for a weekday evening. It felt family-owned and casual, which I usually love--many of my favorite restaurants fall into that category. Unfortunately, the experience didn't reflect that warmth. We were given a different menu than other diners, which immediately felt odd. Service wasn't overtly rude, but it was noticeably unwelcoming--almost a "why are you here?" tone rather than hospitality. We ordered hummus and feta, both of which were surprisingly expensive for the portion and quality. We were told bread would arrive automatically with the hummus, but it didn't--despite asking multiple times. When it finally arrived, it was poorly cooked and no longer served any purpose, as we were already well into the meal. Despite the restaurant being far from busy, our mains took about 30 minutes. One dish--a kebab--was fine but very forgettable for a $30+ price point. My dish, dumplings in a yogurt-based sauce, was honestly inedible. I left it untouched and mentioned that it didn't taste good. The response was simply, "Oh, so you don't want a box?" No attempt to fix the issue or even acknowledge it. What sealed it for me was the overall condition of the place. Dirty cutlery, a generally rundown interior, and a lack of attention to cleanliness made it uncomfortable to eat there. I'm not picky about ambiance when the food and service deliver--but here, nothing quite worked together. The whole experience felt very turn-and-burn, as if the restaurant relies on proximity to a popular area rather than repeat customers. I left feeling like unless you're part of a specific in-crowd, this isn't a place that's trying very hard to win you over. Personally, I wouldn't return, and I wouldn't recommend it--especially given the pricing and the many better options nearby.

They have interesting dishes with paneer and chicken as well. We ordered two dishes- Leela lasun keema - This dish was intriguing, with cheese, grated egg, and a rich, spicy gravy. The portion size was generous; a single person won't be able to finish it with just three breads. It was very filling, we took back home the leftover and enjoyed it later with some rotis. They have another version of this- "kachu" with runny eggs instead of grated eggs.. well thought option! Volcano egg biryani- The dish is as interesting as its name suggests. The base is an omelette, and the rice is flavorful with bell peppers, finely chopped veggies, and aromatic spices. The center is with a tomato-based curry. The cheese on the side was amazing, and I loved it. The spicy guava drink is super refreshing with a playful mix of spice, salt, sourness, and the sweetness of guava. I really enjoyed it!
