Was craving Mediterranean food near Stanford mall and found this place for to go. Inside looks elevated but opted for to go. Entrees here are in the pricier side with a decent portion. Got the house combo plate that comes with lamb beef gyro, chicken kebab, and beef kebab. Colorful bowl with different flavors and texture. Kebabs were solid. Chicken was on the drier side. Ordered online and picked up quickly. Have had better kebabs but was expecting more for the price.

We came here for an anniversary lunch and we really love this place! Lovely drinks, friendly staff and amazing food! Their butter pita bread are out of this world! The Mediterranean Bowl is our favorite. Will definitely come back soon!

Obsessed with Hummus! The space feels super open and airy with really tall ceilings, lots of natural light flooding in and planty indoor jungle vibes. IIt's casual but also so cute and thoughtfully put together - perfect for a relaxed lunch or an easy dinner with friends. The hummus was honestly some of the best I've had in a while! It was so smooth and creamy and dreamy. They serve it with a delicious warm and fluffy pita. You can taste the freshness in every bite! Overall such a cute lil Mediterranean gem with a warm and inviting atmosphere, friendly service and healthy options. Adding this to our "must-return" list anytime we go to the Stanford Shopping Center :)

I'm absolutely in love with the ambiance here. The interior design is stunning. I've been many times but somehow always forgot to leave a review. Everything I've tried has been delicious. Having such a chic place nearby makes it so easy when I have guests -- I never have to wonder where to take them. That said, I think the lahmacun could be improved. In my opinion, the dough they use isn't quite suitable for traditional lahmacun. I've had better versions in Mountain View. Definitely room for refinement there. The baklava served with lavender cream is phenomenal. My daughter literally starts talking about the cream as soon as we mention going there. Also, don't skip the cocktails -- they have a large bar and truly talented bartenders.

We ordered from Hummus Mediterranean Kitchen in Mountain View for a team meal, and it was an excellent choice across the board. I personally ordered the grilled salmon with couscous and salad, and it was absolutely amazing. The salmon was perfectly cooked ,flavorful, fresh, well-seasoned and paired really well with the light, fluffy couscous and fresh salad. It felt wholesome yet very satisfying. Everyone else on the team had great things to say about their meals as well. Not a single complaint and positive feedback all around, which is always a good sign when ordering for a group. Great food quality, consistent flavors, and a solid option for team lunches or group orders. Definitely a place I'd recommend and order from again.

While shopping at Stanford Mall we were looking for a place to eat and saw this restaurant by chance. According to our waiter, it has been here for 3 years this year. The restaurant is open and airy, with modern decoration. The service was very efficient, they were friendly and kept their tabs on our table and everyone else's with ease. Our server Umut who is also the Manager was very good and made some amazing recommendations. He was attentive to everyone in the restaurant. Here is what we had: Appetizer Sampler: Hummus, sautéed eggplant, muhammara, baba ghanoush, tzatziki, dolmades and falafel. Served with pita - bread: this was so good. I love the variety it held for the price. The hummus and falafel are the best I have had since I was in Greece. Everything else was equally ahhmazing. Lahmacun Turkish Pizza - Thin crusted flat bread with minced lamb & beef, veggies, and herbs & spices: we wanted to try this and oh boy, it was worth it. Something different but it all went together well. I love the flavors, simply delish Manti Plate -Beef stuffed Turkish dumplings, garlic yogurt and manti sauce: this is so good, but three of us were so stuffed by the time we got this we couldn't finish it. The little star pastas are so cute and yummmm. Baklava - One piece of carrot sliced pistachio baklava, lavender cream: there is only one other place where I live the Baklava and this is now the second. The lavender cream is really good but you must have ice cream with it too. Their portions are big, the price is decent, the service is awesome, the food is the best I have had so far. I will definitely go back to try other things and I suggest you try it out too.

What a wonderful experience, more restaurants need to study Hummus's business model. I've been coming here since their opening, and it's exactly what Stanford was missing. The staff is extremely kind and accommodating, and everything I've tried on the menu tastes fresh and is well worth the trip. I'm especially partial to the lahmacun, lentil soup, and whipped feta, though honestly, everything has been delicious. Once, I was torn between two dishes, and without even asking, they brought me a small portion of the other one I had been considering along with my order. The ambience perfectly ties in with the experience, and I truly love Turkish hospitality.

A spacious welcoming vibe at the Stanford Shopping center, good for a casual evening. We went here on a weeknight and were seated right away. The service is prompt, even is the food is somewhat under seasoned. I guess they have attempted to lighten the punch of strong flavors and it is a bit underwhelming. We tried the spicy harissa hummus which was flavorful but not spicy (as had been mentioned) they serve it with bread, where I wished the bread portion was larger. We also got the Anatolian Meltdown Pide - this is like a thin crust multi - cheese pizza. I definitely needed to request for their spicy sauce to jazz up this one! The chicken kebab plate tasted a bit under seasoned and was served with tiny bits of chicken rather than the chicken breast cubes that were mentioned. This also benefited from the spicy sauce they served us upon request. The salad served with this plate was strangely, without any dressing - come on, at least serve some dressing on the side! Overall, a good place for a quick, meal if you're okay with slightly bland food.

My friend and I came here for dinner on a Tuesday evening. As it was a weekday, we were seated immediately upon arrival. The restaurant is also a decent size. Food & Drinks: I started the evening with an espresso martini. It was standard and delicious. For my meal, I started with the whipped feta. The whipped feta was delicious. It was a great portion size, perfect for sharing. My friend and I also shared the hummus flight. I would highly recommend this one. Each one was distinct and delicious. We also ordered some fries and falafel to share. Both were standard but very good. Service: Service was friendly and prompt. Our food came as it was ready from the kitchen. Our server was friendly. Admittedly, we didn't see them too often after we got all of our food, but it wasn't difficult to ask someone when we needed something or the check. TL;DR - Obvious from the nap, but get the hummus.

$65.02. Food, tax, & living wage fee (3%). 1 Dried Olive & Feta Crumble Hummus 1 Greek Salad 1 Moussaka w/Meat (ground beef) 1 n/a drink Formulaic Mediterranean restaurant group. Formula has been proven, it's good. Hummus was maybe 4oz spread thin, but it looks pretty. Not rich or creamy, made with less of an oil/tahini based and more water based. I'd pass next time. Greek Salad was fresh! All veggies were fresh cut and crisp. The feta was a medium grade but delicious. Would jump-back in on that one. Moussaka was fine. Enough to scratch an itch. My guess is it is precooked, refrigerated, then it is flash heated. Mine needed more time. The edges came out hot, but everything else was tepid at best. The restaurant is modern with clean lines and decor. We entered and were seated almost immediately. The server filled our water, and left the bottle. After we ordered the hummus arrived within 90 seconds. After another 3-4 minutes the salad. And then shortly after the moussaka. They run a tight ship and hence my judgement on formulaic. Staff was friendly. Servers will clear the table as you clear the plates. They will bring additional water bottles, but didn't top off glasses. This next part is not unique to this restaurant, but it is germane to this review. What I believe is a letdown in the "hospitality" industry, and something that never feels particularly hospitable, is when the bill arrives on a mobile terminal and the server waits while you complete the gratuity section. I understand that presenting the bill requires interrupting the conversation, but I've always felt that's where the interaction should end. Our server arrived. Reviewed the order, and then proceeded to the gratuity section on the program. At the the gratuity screen it's too late to review the itemization of the bill. While the server did verbally review the list of items ordered, it's not the same as having a moment to review it yourself. When additional fees such as a "living wage" or service fees are added, I'd like the opportunity to see clearly where and how those charges appear on the tab and confirm they've been added correctly. The same goes for gratuity calculations. It's not always clear whether suggested gratuities are calculated on the subtotal before fees, or on the total after additional charges. Having a moment to review this privately would help diners feel more confident everything is being processed correctly. While it doesn't bother me, the social pressure for some can feel uncomfortable. Some diners find it awkward to make a tipping decision while the server is standing there waiting. It can feel rushed or as though the decision is being observed or judged, even if that isn't the intent. It removes the sense of control and pace from the guest. Dining is meant to be relaxed. When payment is handled this way, it can make the end of the meal feel hurried rather than allowing guests to close out at their own pace and in a bit of privacy. A simple improvement would be to leave the terminal at the table for a moment so guests can review the bill and complete payment comfortably. I can say that all the fees were calculated correctly. All in all - good spot.

Lamb & Beef Gyro Plate

Very cute restaurant with really nice workers! We enjoyed their hummus appetizer that came with 4 types of hummus and pita. The pita was fluffy and delicious and we liked all the hummus! My Gyro Wrap was just okay. I thought the gyro meat itself was a little dry, but it had good flavoring, and the French fries that came with it were great. My friends had the gyro plate and enjoyed that.

Appetizer sampler

This was the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. The appetizer sampler was absolutely amazing and they had such a fluffy pita bread that goes along with all the sides. The combo plate was also amazing, each flavor of the meat was so good that I didn't need the sauces to be honest. But the sauces absolutely elevated the flavor of the dish. All the service was extremely friendly and made sure we were comfortable AND full. I will definitely be coming back again and this place is perfect for a nice date!

Love this location and rounding up from 4.5 stars. The San Mateo location is a reliable 3 stars. It is cozy and homey, but ingredients used seem more pedestrian and this location is full service and little touches like the stand out lemon forward dressing and watermelon radish on the side salad as well as more variety make this location a great eat in experience. The bar is lovely and seating options are great. My server Roger was phenomenal. I ordered the moussaka, which came with the beat side salad. My side of chicken gyro to- go for the protein eater at home was generous. I believe the prices are similar to the San Mateo location. This restaurant is not as great as my Mediterranean faves Mykonos in Burlingame or Elia in San Carlos in San Carlos, which are quite a bit pricier and mote special, but for basic American/ Greek food at a fair price point, this is as good as it gets!

We came in on a weekday for the lunch special and I was excited to see it was still on the menu. I ordered the vegan beef koobideh and added a vegan chicken koobideh for $5. The lunch special comes with half rice, half salad, plus a drink. I chose the iced tea and it was really refreshing. For an appetizer, I had my must-have mast-o-musir (shallot yogurt). They also bring out butter and half a raw onion, which I always thought was random until I asked my Persian coworker how you're actually supposed to eat it. Turns out the butter is meant to be mixed into the warm rice so it melts, and the onion is used as a palate cleanser. You peel off a small piece and take a bite between eating your rice and protein. Once you know, it totally makes sense. Between the two koobidehs, the vegan beef was the clear winner. It was flavorful and honestly didn't taste like fake meat at all. The vegan chicken was good, but you can slightly taste that Impossible-style meat flavor. Next time, I'll definitely just get two beef koobidehs. Overall, I'm really glad I came back. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the lamb chops were soft, succulent, and didn't taste gamey at all. You can really taste the charcoal flame on the meats, which added so much depth without overpowering the dishes. The flavors were subtle and balanced, with hints of saffron throughout, especially in the rice. They also have a good selection of vegan options, which is nice to see. Last night, we had dinner at Arya and it was the event of the day for my wife and me. From the moment we arrived, the entire team--from the receptionists to our server Serdar and the support staff--treated us as honored guests. Every interaction felt warm and genuine. The food was exceptional. We started with a mezze platter featuring delicious spreads, pastries, and felafel, followed by a mixed green salad that showcased some of the best burrata we've ever had, topped with tiny, sweet berries. Our main courses were equally memorable: a stunning Fesenjoon pomegranate-walnut chicken stew with a perfect balance of slightly sweet and tart, and a side of basmati rice studded with almonds, pistachios, berries, and orange peel. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, unique, and delicious. But what truly made the evening special was the service and genuine hospitality. Serdar, our server, was remarkably warm and attentive. We had fascinating conversations with him about his world travels, the uniqueness of Persian cuisine, and his recommendations for authentic Turkish breakfast and dinner spots (he's half Greek and half Turkish, which made his recommendations all the more authentic and personal). Mehdi introduced himself during the meal and checked in on us with a genuine interest in our experience, not just as a manager, but as someone who truly cares.
