This place is amazing!! Possibly some of the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. Our group loved everything that we had. - whole cauliflower: 10/10, AMAZING. Tender, but still snappy with ana amazing tahini sauce - fried olives: so unique, the fried batter brings down the pickled flavor of the olives so it's easy to eat - kabob plates: super flavorful kabobs, our favorite was the kofta - rotisserie chicken: flavorful and juicy! - all the sides we got were really good, my favorite was the beet dip and the rice is super flavorful Everything is self serve here - you order through a QR code and grab your own water/hot tea and togo containers. The people who work here are super friendly and will come by often to check up on you too. Overall, loved it!

I have long heard tell of the legendary Mazra and finally managed to venture down and give them a try last weekend. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Mazra offers up Mediterranean foods in a welcoming and beautiful restaurant that has both indoor and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Upon arrival, you can quickly take advantage of their free tea offering. It doesn't seem like they do reservations, so be prepared for a slight wait if you show during peak hours. Once seated, you are prompted to order by QR code where you can glance at the menu and make your choices. I ended up going with the two meat plate (chicken and lamb). These plates come with rice and two sides. I ended up going with two dips to accompany my rice and pita. The flavor of the lamb and chicken were both on point. The meat was fresh and moist (I was definitely craving more by the time I was finished). I washed everything down with a tasty banana/oat milk/ date shake that was creamy and satisfying. My friends ordered the fried halloumi cheese for the table as well. The cheese was crispy, salty, and delicious. It's also served with a small side of honey which makes for a nice drizzle. I also ordered a side of falafel for the table which was unfortunately the most disappointing offering (too dry). Otherwise, all the food was excellent! You check in to put your name on the waitlist, parking is tough in the area due to the tight streets. At the table, server takes your order and they bring it the food out. Paying is also simple in that you can pay on the phone that you ordered from. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced, especially for the quality and amount of food you get. Love all the hummus and different dips you get, highly recommend getting lots of different ones if you are with friends so you can all try as many different ones as possible. We got the whole cauliflower to share, it was roasted well with lots of seasoning and cheese, it was flavorful and heavy and well worth the calories. I got the double kebab plate with shrimp and ground kofta. Both kebabs were seasoned wonderfully and paired nicely with the sides and rice.
This review is for their takeout. It was easy to order online and the food was ready on time. Pickup up was easy and fast since they have a dedicated pickup window. The chicken shawarma was flavorful and you get to pick two different sides. I enjoyed the muhammara and beet dip. I also liked the sauces it came with. Great meal, I would definitely come back .
A friend recommended this place after a good experience at their Redwood City location, so we decided to try this one on a Wednesday. The restaurant is spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor patio has plenty of shaded tables, making it a comfortable spot to dine. Ordering is done through a QR code, and food is brought to the table. They also offer self-service cold water and hot tea stations inside and outside, which is a nice touch. Overall, the atmosphere is relaxed and casual. We ordered the Double Kebab Plate with filet mignon and lamb kebab (filet mignon add $2), along with French fries and garlic potatoes. We also tried the Falafel Mezza Sampler, which came with six falafel, six dips (hummus, tzatziki, baba ghanoush, roasted beet, muhammara, and cucumber yogurt), and three pita breads. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. Both the filet mignon and lamb kebab were dry and overcooked, and the portion of meat was quite small for the price. The rice was overly soft and lacked texture, as if it had absorbed too much water or been sitting for a while. We only took a small bite before leaving the rest untouched. The falafel was also overcooked and dry, and the size was small compared with another place. The highlight of the meal was the dips, especially the muhammara and cucumber yogurt, which were flavorful, while the rest were just okay. The space itself is clean, spacious, and pleasant, but the food did not live up to expectations. I really wanted to like it, but the quality was inconsistent and underwhelming for the price. Damn... can I say, the food here is AMAZING! The only way to do it to try everything is FAMILY STYLE. The cantaloupe pineapple juice is out of the world. We can around an hour before they closed. They quoted a 30-40 minute wait, but it ended up being only 10 mins. Everything is self serve, and the employees just bring the food to you. They are quick to buss your tables. There are a lot of FOH employees just talking with each other. Besides that, their system is very thought out and efficient.
In the 2 months I've been here 4 plus times and all times I've been delighted by the food, service and hospitality of this restaurant. We tried several different dishes and all have been delicious and amazing, hence the reason we return, and wait up to 45 minutes for a table! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like their decor. It is so tasteful and warm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff have been extremely helpful and courteous. The falafel mezza sampler was perfect for our first time here. Came in a star shape with beautiful colors. My favorite was the Muhammara due to the walnut flavor and texture. The tzatziki was also solid. Falafel was crispy and soft inside. The double kebab plate I had came with ground kofta and filet mignon. Both had a great grill/bbq flavor. Seasoned well and the spicy sauce made it even better with the rice. Loved the whole grilled onion on it. Parking is bad here and you'd have to find parking in the neighborhood streets but would come back here to try more of their stuff.
Very nice place with excellent food! I came here on a Sunday evening for a table for two and waited about 15 min to be seated. It was my first time here and I was surprised by how filling the meals were and how quick the service was. I appreciate the self-serve water/tea and ordering system, allowing you to place your order on your phone or at the outside window whenever you are ready. I got the dip trio with cucumber and yogurt, tzatziki and baba ghanoush. I wasn't the biggest fan of the baba ghanoush but I loved the tzatziki. It came with three large pita breads. The chicken shawarma plate was also packed with flavor. With so much pita in me already I could only eat half and was able to take home leftovers. My partner had the steak street wrap and the meat was very tender and flavorful. I would order both again but would love to try other menu items. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great ambiance for a nice dinner and amazing food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking is the only difficulty, but we were able to find a spot in the residential area a block away.
Worth the wait. Was starving and came here on a Saturday night to find out the wait was an hour. Definitely come early or just be prepared to wait a little. We were seated and the wait staff were so friendly. Our table enjoyed cracking jokes with our waiter. We ordered with a QR code and they delivered the food to our table. There's a self serve station for utensils, napkins, take away boxes etc. food was on point. The most surprising dish was the cauliflower. So flavorful. The bbq deluxe pack (family size) was enough to feed 5 adults. Super good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outdoor seating does have overhead space heaters though installed for when it gets chilly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I came here on weekend evening for dinner. We ordered various items to try and they were all delicious. We ordered the chicken shawarma plate, lamb chop plate, double kebab plate, and a side of fries. For the plates they come with rice, pita, house pickles and your choice of two sides. Since we had three entrees, we tried a variety of sides they had available. For sides we got: hummus, babaganoush, muhammara, roasted red beet dip, tabbouleh salad and arabi salad. All the sides were delicious. For the plates, the chicken shawarma plate came with a large portion of chicken that was thinly sliced. Very good flavor and went nicely with their garlic toum. The lamb chop was a bit overcooked for us but had a very nice flavor. For the kebab plate, we got the lamb kebab and the kofta kebab, both were fine but the lamb was overcooked. Overall, this restaurant has nice decor, and will definitely be back again. read more

Mind blown. First experience. We were there before 6 and got an outside table without a wait. It's BYOB and there is a liquor store next door. The food is amazing. They have it all. Hummus, toom, hot sauce, pita, olives, pickles, steak, chicken, veggies, rice, HOT sauce! It's a no pressure place as far as service. You order from your phone with QR code. You get your own water and to go boxes. It's a banger. Reluctant to share the secrets of this place versus keep it for my own. But the owners have made an amazing restaurant. I'm so glad this place is open again! It had been a couple of years since my last visit and I'm happy to say that the food quality and service are still just as exceptional as I remembered. The restaurant was busy, which is to be expected. Mazra is incredibly popular and for good reason. My family of 4 waited about 30-ish minutes to be seated at around 6:30pm. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating but I also noticed a steady stream of takeout orders, which is probably the way to go since the restaurant can get pretty lively and loud. My family shared the BBQ deluxe kebab pack and the dip trio appetizer, which were more than enough food for us with leftovers to take home! Everything was fantastic. Meats were perfectly cooked, tender, and nicely seasoned. Lamb was the standout! Every dip in the trio was delicious, especially the roasted beet. The garlic potatoes side were just as addictive as ever and remain one of my favorite sides here. If I have to note one thing, it's that the parking lot is tiny so you'll probably have a better shot parking in the street/neighborhood. Otherwise, everything from the food to the service was amazing and I'll happily keep coming back to my all-time favorite Mediterranean restaurant. read more
Amazing service The people guiding you t your table is so accommodating I first sat in the outside but I decided I would like to dine indoors and they helped me switch! I had the steak shawarma wrap lavash wrap it was delicious! I think they have hummus in it too? With garlic sauce and hot sauce I added fries which was a fantastic add I ordered a mint lemonade to go since everyone was raving about it I don't think it's for me, a bit too sweet and concentrated Next time I might do raspberry lemonade to try and have a cup of water ext to me The spice tea they have for self serve is good! I loved it The ambiance is really nice laid back but more date like setting with the fairy lights outside and it's kind of like you're on a vineyard dining background outside read more

Tried the double kebab plate with chicken and filet mignon. I didn't expect that to be served in a takeout container. The chicken was nice and juicy, but the filet mignon was surprisingly gamey. For the two sides that came with a plate I chose the baba ghannoush and my husband chose the garlic potatoes. One plate was a decent portion for two. For dessert we got the pistachio milk cake, which was sweet but paired well with the self serve hot tea. read more

A young man named Sire waited on us tonight & don't get me wrong the food here, is INCREDIBLE ! Never been disappointed, but this young man's energy makes the experience 1,000/10! He is just so sweet & pure & kind. He waited on us once before & was an absolute angel then too! I just wanted to leave a review so management knew how incredible this employee was & how he's helping make experiences here heart felt. He truly made our night! The food can be great but bland service can ruin the taste of anything & I swear his service makes the meal THAT much more delightful! He also recommended we don't skip on desert, we ordered the Bak Lava & milk cakes per his advice & they are TO DIE FOR! You MUST get the Bak Lava! It's the best I've ever had!! I've been meaning to come to this place for the last 6 months or so but for one reason or another I was never able to make it until now and wow- it was 100 percent worth the wait. When you keep hearing buzz about a place and everyone you ask who's been to that place has nothing but good things to say, naturally your expectations are going to be very high, and even with high expectations Mazra still impressed me. The amount of food you get is more than generous, they have a self-serve water and tea station, the service is great, ambiance is beautiful, and the most important thing of course: the food was excellent. I like the format of the restaurant since it reminds me of Nandos. Kinda fancy but not really. The kebabs were fresh and juicy. The dibs were tasty. Only negative comment is that they should really sell a smaller portion for the cauliflower. read more

Mazra absolutely knocked our socks off! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the beautiful decor and welcoming atmosphere. The scan-to-order menu from your phone was incredibly easy and convenient, and the service was impressively fast. Most importantly, the food was outstanding. We had been wanting to come here for the longest time but couldn't get down to San Bruno. Once we finally did, we realized we should have made the journey so much earlier. The service throughout the meal was great and everyone just made you feel welcome. The decor and ambiance also make it feel like you're on vacation, with small touches that transport you. Plus the smells of the delicious food don't hurt either. We started with the Halloumi Cheese Roll which was a nice switch-up on texture. It could have used a bit more flavor but the crunch mixed with the cheese was a very good start. We also had the Tzatziki, the hummus, the tabbouleh salad, house pickles and the garlic potatoes as our various sides all which was very good. Everything packs a punch of flavor and goes super well with the warm soft pita. Also a super star for me personally was the mushroom skweres. Id never had that before but was a huge fan. My friend ordered us takeout and I got the chicken shwarma wrap and added the hummus dip! It was really good! I just wished they added more of the pickle inside. It also came with some spicy sauce and white sauce. And I used all of the sauces include the hummus. If you like more flavor, I would suggest to order an extra drip on the side. It was very filling. I'm giving a 4 star instead of a 5 because it was very oily. The oil dripped through the box and onto the counter. If you're eating this on your lap, the oil may drip through onto you as well. Perfection. You can't fault anything. I've been waiting for them to reopen and it was definitely worth the wait! The new remodel is stunning - it felt like Scottsdale vibes I tried the Halloumi Cheese Roll appetizer and loved. My go to order is the Chicken Shawarma Plate that comes with your choice of two sides and pita bread. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and grilled. The delightful smell of the grill that you smell when you are walking in? You can actually taste it in the meat!! The rice is amazing and I can never get enough of the garlic toum and hot sauce that it comes with. The problem is picking the sides! I love the Arabic salad, tabbouleh, which both add such a refreshing taste to the plate but I also love the hummus for the pita that it comes with and the tzatziki is a must. The fries are also so crispy and good!! The price is so decent for the amount you get - one plate usually equals 2-3 meals for me. Their system is genius. You can order through a QR code when you get to your table and they have everything you need on the side (water, complimentary tea, utensils and take-out supplies) but they also have servers walking around checking in and taking your plates so it doesn't feel like a completely self-serve experience. I really like the cleanliness and atmosphere of the restaurant. It's definitely a nicer looking establishment. I came on a Wednesday night around 7 pm and there was about a 30 minute wait for a table of two. They provide warm tea while you wait, which is nice because it's usually cold and windy in San Bruno. You place your order with a QR code and they have several areas where you can get water and utensils yourself. It's a bit hard to flag someone down but not impossible. Mazra is a go to, it is a must! The food is fresh, it's delicious it's flavorful and the service is pretty quick despite the long line to get in definitely worth the way, I recommend the cauliflower the Fatoush salad with falafel. Man, what a journey! I found about Mazra 5 years ago, Specifically their first location, from a friend who's mother knew the owner. Fresh out of Highschool, we would get the the Sharma and fries and the rest was history. 5 years later, I've put my whole family and all of my friends on to this place and they love it, and I'm still going. This time, I finally got the Kebab platter, I usually get the roasted chicken but we wanted to switch it up. The Lamb kebabs specifically won a place in my heart, tender, flavorful, and juicy. The Falafel Mezza Platter comes with all these dips such as Hummus, Tzatiki, Muhammara, Roasted Beet dip, and a refreshing Roasted Beet dip. All of which looks so pretty with a flavor to match [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant looks beautiful with the middle eastern and Mediterranean themes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is always good with the folks at mazra always making sure we get what we need.
