I've had the rice pudding at Mediterranean Kebab before which is an absolute must-try if you haven't had it but this was my first time ordering an actual meal, and it did not disappoint. At first glance, it might not look like a huge portion, but it's deceptive and very filling. The chicken was wonderfully moist with a beautiful char, and the rice was hit spot-on light and fluffy, neither mushy nor undercooked. The side salad with red cabbage was super fresh and crisp. My only wish is that it came with a grilled jalapeño on the side! To top it off, their hot sauce packs a really nice kick and has fantastic flavor. Definitely worth coming back for. read more

On a whim I strolled into MK to try their lamb and beef gyros. It had been many years since I had kebab and I was craving it. The only thing is that some of the kebab places in the Bay Area are a roll of the dice: either good or not good. Luck was in my favor and rolled a 7. The meat was tender and flavorful. I almost forgot how much I like lamb. The rice and salad was a good complement to the lamb and beef. The pita bread was also great and I could have eaten a double order of it (so carby good). Comes with pita bread and I ordered an additional pita which was not needed and their portion is a good size. The side of falafel has four pieces in it was good as well. Place order online. Request to have more rice less salad plus to put both salad and dressing in separate containers. When we went to pick up our order, the order was all wrong. Waited 5 minutes for them to fix their mistakes only to be told that they would not ! On top of that we gave them a tip on the to go order. On Saturday evening, my wife and I came to Mediterranean Kebab for dinner. She was craving their food and so we made the trek out to Burlingame. While parking isn't great (is it ever?) the restaurant had plenty of seating and the staff helped us immediately. The menu is wide but not too confusing. I went with the chicken kebab plate and a couple of appetizer's consisting of hummus and the cigarette pastry. The name is confusing but this is a must have! It comes with (4) pastry rolls filled with feta cheese & parsley. These are delicious and best eaten when warm. Our pita bread was refilled once and so was my diet coke. The service on the refills was quick, which I appreciated. This is a great spot to grab food quickly and inexpensively. While Burlingame Ave has many good places to eat, Mediterranean Kebab offers a different category and vibe. I'll be back! read more

After he placed his order, he went to pick a table while I gave the young woman with dark hair my order. I paid and started to turn around to sit down when I heard her quite loudly in a strong accent refer to me in a unkind way saying the word "China". All the cooks stopped and looked at me and so did her fellow server (another shorter young woman who seemed embarrassed by her comment). This woman at the counter then turned around surprised that I heard her. She said nothing and neither did I. We had a short amount of time before going back to work, I didn't have the energy to deal with this BUT that was not okay. Disappointed and heart-broken being a regular customer to feel so unwelcome and encounter this mean-spirited attitude.
