    Mediterranean Combo Kebab Plate
    Janessa M.

My first time trying this place and the food was pretty good! We decided to get a light lunch, so between 2 people, we shared their Mediterranean Combo Kebab Plate and an order of Baklava. The chicken in the combo plate was moist and their kafta was tasty. Ending the meal with their baklava was perfect! I'd definitely come back here again.

On a whim I strolled into MK to try their lamb and beef gyros. It had been many years since I had kebab and I was craving it. The only thing is that some of the kebab places in the Bay Area are a roll of the dice: either good or not good. Luck was in my favor and rolled a 7. The meat was tender and flavorful. I almost forgot how much I like lamb. The rice and salad was a good complement to the lamb and beef. The pita bread was also great and I could have eaten a double order of it (so carby good). Anyway, just a short one for MK. They are definitely on my Kebab List for the Peninsula. I'm not a pyro, but I rock the gyros. Now for the pic.

This place is quick and convenient for takeout, but I think there are better Mediterranean options around here. I got the beef & lamb plate to go. The meat was dry and not that flavorful. The rice was pretty plain as well. The pita bread was cold and not soft. The salad was a generous serving but there were so many tomatoes (hidden at the bottom). Unfortunately I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon.

First time trying this. Attended a party, so party trays are definitely in abundance and flavorful. Favorite dish is Baba Ghanoush.

(Brad Pitt voiceover) The vibe is fab restaurant right on Burlingame. Nothing says Cali more than dining al fresco! Chris warmly greeted me! Ran with the Alexander Kebab! Hearty! Empowering! Feel like I could jump over walls while leading an army. Two Turkish coffees. Afterall, one is none. And I now feel my engine rev like an F1. Thanks, Chris! Wouls order everything again! Woohoo!

I drove 40 minutes to eat at Mediterranean kebab and spent $60 for everything to be raw. This is completely unacceptable and extremely dangerous to be serving raw chicken!!!! I could have gotten salmonella

Wouldn't normally give 5 stars for a counter service restaurant (you order at the counter and they bring it to you), but this place is just excellent for its class. Super friendly owner, cook to order and the food is really great. Had the chicken kebab plate which was really luscious and juicy. Hummus was also juicy. Yummy.

Decided to stop in to Mediterranean Kebab with a friend after work. I ordered the lamb & beef gyros warp which comes on lavash bread with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and tahini sauce. The tahini sauce comes in a small container on the side; I could've used more sauce because the meat was a little dry and didn't have much flavor. Parking in downtown Burlingame can be hard because it can get crowded, but there are a few public lots available close by.

Great hole in the wall. Food is good, great portion and reasonable price. I ate everything as I was searching for proteins that evening. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for this kind of plate and proteins.

My family and I love this place and go there often. The food quality is excellent, and the service is top notch: friendly, efficient, and consistent. I always get some sort of kebab plate or gyro. This time I decided to order the tabbouleh salad and I added the seafood combo to it. Result: exxxxcellent!

    Menu

It was a warm summer night and I was walking my dog with a friend who HIGHLY recommended this place. I didn't expect much from the outside, BUT wow! The french fries? BEST on Burlingame Ave. The hummus? Extra flavorful with extra garlic. The sauté eggplant? Put that on everything- it's delicious. 5/5 If you want a perfectly crispy, lightly fried falafel and french fries? THIS is the spot. You're welcome. ;)

It was absolutely spectacular. It came with Pita's fresh salad and oh my God it was so good. I ordered a bunch of things to go to take home with me because I live a far distance from this place. I found it on Apple Maps but why I was driving asking for the closest Greek place and wow am I glad Apple Maps brought me here. I will definitely be back. And what's really amazing is I just found out I lost a friend and I was sitting at the table a little teary-eyed and a lovely server brought over some tea for me while I was waiting for to go order. And guess what they were open July 4. The food is absolutely spectacular. I'm looking at all the plates of meats and everything smell so fresh I wanna order the french fries just cause they look so delicious but I'm full. The place is quite pretty. We opted for a small table outside , which is much quieter. Our waiter was a bit stiff around the collar. I suspect he is an old timer, and clearly, we are not regulars. Regardless, the food is great, and the prices are reasonable. The Food: Zucchini Cake, $15 - 4.5 Stars Menu: crispy zucchini cakes with cucumber & mint-yogurt dressing These cakes are ball shaped, deep fried, and made a healthy veggie taste naughty type of good. Very yummy. Lol Tzatziki, $9 - 5 Stars Refreshing and delicious, the tzatziki is an excellent complement to the meal. Octopus, $19 - 5 Stars I really need to stop eating octopus, but when I am in a Greek or Spanish restaurant, I am weak. Grilled octopus legs are soooo good. Their version is grilled just right, not too much char, plus they smartly removed the hardened tips (common) before serving. See photo. Lamb Shank, $34 - 5 Stars Menu: aromatic braised lamb shank with orzo & myzithra cheese The lamb meat is tender and falls off the bone. It is cooked just right. Mykonos Souvlaki, $31 - 5 Stars Menu: herbs marinated tenderloin, shallot & rosemary skewers I enjoy a tasty protein and produce meal, and this dish is perfection with tender pieces of tenderloin over a pile of veggies. It is everything I want.

Entrees did take a little while longer to be served but I don't blame the workers for the crowd. Service was attentive (server, food runners, & bussers). My drink: Post & Beam Cabernet Sauvignon red wine - rich, full bodied, mildly sweet with a smooth, long finish. Complimented my entree very well (lamb shank). No clash in taste going from eating to drinking. Appetizers: Calamari: Not a huge fan of calamari personally but it was okay. Crispy and chewy squid inside as expected. Greek fries: Typical fries. Crispy and garnished with 2 sauces. One has a mild spice. Nothing super special but it was good as a choice of "sides" from the menu that turned into an appetizer. Had some leftover for my entree that paired well with it actually. Zucchini cakes: crispy shell on the outside but a mushy, hashbrown-like inside of a flavorful mix of vegetables. Really enjoyed this one. Would recommend it. Entrees: Mine: Lamb Shank: soft, tender, the meat melts right off the bone. The sauce is amazing. Tasteful down to the garnish. There was one end that was super fatty and slimy and then different side of the same end that was really chewy like bubblegum but other than that, still my favorite dish from everyone else's. Glad I chose this. Fisherman's Pasta : the presentation is immaculate, very proportional ratio of seafood to the pasta. l like the variety but honestly, this dish is bland. Good thing I got the lamb shank! Arnisia Paidakia (Lamb Chops): Didn't eat but the person who ate it said it tastes good but kind of dry. What he enjoyed about it was that the rice was made of wheat & savory as well. Lobster Risotto - wasn't my personal order but I got to try a bite. Had some flavor and and enough meat from the tail to eat with the savory rice. Free birthday Baklava desert: Never had it before but I got a bite and liked it. Ended up giving the rest to everyone else. This place is good for its variety of choices so I may come back for the good food and atmosphere.

We ordered takeout this time, and my Chicken Shawarma Plate was outstanding. The chicken was flavorful and generously portioned over perfectly cooked saffron rice.
