On a whim I strolled into MK to try their lamb and beef gyros. It had been many years since I had kebab and I was craving it. The only thing is that some of the kebab places in the Bay Area are a roll of the dice: either good or not good. Luck was in my favor and rolled a 7. The meat was tender and flavorful. I almost forgot how much I like lamb. The rice and salad was a good complement to the lamb and beef. The pita bread was also great and I could have eaten a double order of it (so carby good). This place is quick and convenient for takeout, but I think there are better Mediterranean options around here. I got the beef & lamb plate to go. The meat was dry and not that flavorful. The rice was pretty plain as well. The pita bread was cold and not soft. The salad was a generous serving but there were so many tomatoes (hidden at the bottom). Great service, but, if you order the lamb kebab, DON'T. There's enough salt in the marinade to last you a lifetime. Food is good but concerned about salad being served with a gloved hand. I don't understand why a spoon or tongs were not used. This increases the risk of food borne illness and cross contamination. 10/10 for food, my husband and I come here at least 2-3x a month, it's truly the best Mediterranean food in the area (and there are lots!) I've always found restaurants like Mediterranean Kebab to be very satisfying. The portions are large, the food is fresh and tasty, the service is quick and the pricing is fair. On Saturday evening, my wife and I came to Mediterranean Kebab for dinner. She was craving their food and so we made the trek out to Burlingame. While parking isn't great (is it ever?) the restaurant had plenty of seating and the staff helped us immediately. The menu is wide but not too confusing. I went with the chicken kebab plate and a couple of appetizer's consisting of hummus and the cigarette pastry. The name is confusing but this is a must have! It comes with (4) pastry rolls filled with feta cheese & parsley. These are delicious and best eaten when warm. Our pita bread was refilled once and so was my diet coke. The service on the refills was quick, which I appreciated. This is a great spot to grab food quickly and inexpensively. While Burlingame Ave has many good places to eat, Mediterranean Kebab offers a different category and vibe. I'll be back! read more

I ordered the hummus #1 appetizer which was delicious. Super flavorful and the right texture. Comes with pita bread and I ordered an additional pita which was not needed and their portion is a good size. The side of falafel has four pieces in it was good as well. They come with a good dipping sauce. The other item I got was the beef kebab a la cart. This was so flavorful and well cooked. Juice delicious flavors with every bite. There are a few other Mediterranean options nearby but this one is in our rotation. During our last visit, my husband and I decided to go for a quick weekday lunch. After he placed his order, he went to pick a table while I gave the young woman with dark hair my order. I paid and started to turn around to sit down when I heard her quite loudly in a strong accent refer to me in a unkind way saying the word "China". All the cooks stopped and looked at me and so did her fellow server (another shorter young woman who seemed embarrassed by her comment). This woman at the counter then turned around surprised that I heard her. She said nothing and neither did I. We had a short amount of time before going back to work, I didn't have the energy to deal with this BUT that was not okay. Disappointed and heart-broken being a regular customer to feel so unwelcome and encounter this mean-spirited attitude. I was very impressed. Customer service was great as I was greeted with a smile. Fantastic quality food for a reasonable price. The quantity was almost more than I could eat. I ordered the hummus appetizer and the amount of pita matched the hummus proportion. The falafel wrap I could have split with my wife. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. I discovered this restaurant when researching where I could get Kazan Dibi, a Turkish milk pudding. Tempted by my friend's photos in Turkey of kazandibi, this was the only local restaurant I could find in 2018 that offered this dessert. Kazan Dibi looked more exciting than it tasted. It was dusted in cinnamon and crushed pistachio nuts. I am happy to have found it though! During my most recent visit, we enjoyed dining outdoors. I was surprised by how much I loved the CHICKEN KEBAB PLATE. A beautifully presented, well balanced meal with salad and delicious, moist rice, which may be buttered. Large pieces of tender chicken.
