I came on a Saturday around 12:45pm and their parking lot was full (not surprised whatsoever) and a handful of people waiting in queue outside. I really appreciate that they have the 2 spots reserved for pickup parking, especially since their lot is pretty small. My street wrap was just as tasty as I remembered it pre-renovation. I kept hearing how great this place was and how excited everyone was that it had reopened, so I had to give it a try. I ordered takeout for lunch, preordered online, and selected a pickup time. The process was super easy--the outdoor pickup window was convenient, and my order was ready right on time. I ordered the chicken and filet mignon kebabs, and I cleaned my plate! Everything was absolutely delicious. The only thing missing was more of that amazing garlic sauce next time I'm definitely ordering extra. If you're a garlic lover, that's my tip: get more sauce! oh my goodness, just go. I am so happy Mazra is open again. I went on Eid and it was so good. Literally ate too much, beyond what I could handle it was so good. Got the double kebab plate with lamb and filet mignon, side of fries, side of hummus, side of toum, red pepper sauce, falafel, and the banana date shake. My date got shawarma. How adorable was he. Mazra finally reopened after being closed for over 2 years! It's one of my bf's and I favorite restaurants, and I'm so glad another location is finally open. We decided to get the double kebab plate and the street wrap, which is our go to. We also love the babaganoush and fries on the side. We hadn't tried their drinks before, but we went for the banana date shake and mint lemonade and both were delicious. It can get pretty busy, but luckily we were seated right away. Back today after close to 2 years I believed of renovation.. The place is more cozy - you can order via scanning code or cashier- it was busy even after 130pm today- they are offering filet mignon beef now and this cauliflower we tried was really good. We ordered chicken shawarma wrap and added fries for +3, cheese rolls under mezza (soooo good) , double kebab plate- filet mignon and lamp with veggies and potatoes ( comes with rice already ) Asthetics was just good vibes, indoor and outdoor. Small parking lot in front and back. There is street parking, just be careful, the streets are narrow! Great time and they allow you to BYOB! Bring your own beer / wine. I've been coming to Mazra for years, and I was so excited when they finally reopened after their renovation. All I can say is... wow. The new space is absolutely stunning. It's modern, serene, spacious, and full of life at the same time. Honestly, it might be one of the most beautiful restaurants on the entire Peninsula. Even the music and overall atmosphere make the experience feel special. And of course, the food is just as amazing as ever. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. The portions are perfect and the prices are very fair for the quality you get. Another huge plus for me is that it's close to home, so I can come here often whenever I'm craving great Mediterranean food. First time coming back since it's reopening. Place looks absolutely gorgeous! They have two options to order (QR code on the table or speak with front hostesses), went with QR code. The place is basically set up for self service (water, tea, utensils, plates, to go containers) and the waiters are there just to bring the food and the busboys clean up quickly which is great. The hostesses circle back twice in the time we were there so we were definitely left to our conversations in peace. We definitely over ordered since we didn't discuss what the other person was ordering but we turned it into family style feast. I have to say the meats weren't as juicy as I remembered but the flavor is still good. The dips all seemed to taste roughly the same even though they are very different, not a fan of the excessive oil added in the dish after the dip was placed in cause we kept spilling it out of the dish when scooping. Very filling plates which you can turn into 2 meals (bonus)! The bummer was the desserts. I ordered the Baklava on a "to be requested to bring out" type of service, so we had to hunt someone down to make the request since no one really checks in. I have to say I LOVE the original and the Nutella versions best but I wish they would sell larger pieces since these were the size of a teenage girls middle finger at best. It started as the bright green can't miss it corner grocery store with a food counter, then the grocery store turned into a beloved, always-busy restaurant. It was voted One of Yelp's Top 10 restaurants in the US in 2024! After being closed for over two years, it's back and completely transformed--open kitchen, modern and clean design, with a larger, lively indoor and outdoor dining space (and upgraded restrooms too). It's a busy restaurant so do not go at peak hours. There could be 4 lines - to go orders, pick up orders, get a table line and wait for a table line. We went mid afternoon on a weekday and walked right in and got seated right away. When you sit down, you are given a two sided menu and a number. You can order by QR code at the table or at the cashier and a server will bring the food to you. Menu highlights include wood-fired meats, wraps, kebab plates, lamb chops, and lamb shanks. Service is casual but attentive--someone will check in on you from time to time. We ordered the roasted cauliflower (the bomb) and drinks to start with - mint lemonade and raspberry lemonade with a nice touch of fresh mint sprigs. Both were refreshing, but the mint lemonade was my favorite. For mains, I had the shrimp and lamb kebab combo plate over saffron rice with fries and baba ghanoush. My friend ordered the filet mignon kebab with tabbouleh. The standout was definitely the filet--so tender and full of flavor. The lamb was solid, and the shrimp had a nice kick. The baba ghanoush,was smooth, flavorful, and a must-order and even the saffron rice was perfectly prepared and balanced the meats. There is a jar with utensils and napkins on the table and two self-serve stations with water, glasses, utensils, napkins, small plates, takeout boxes and bags, plus complimentary cinnamon tea (such a nice treat). There's also an outside walk-up counter and a small parking lot in front and back. Parking is tricky as this is a residential neighborhood with narrow streets. Bonus: no corkage fee if you bring your own wine. It gets busy during prime hours--expect lines to order, pick up, and wait for a table--but the energy is great. It's no surprise prices are higher and portions a little smaller but that's common everywhere today. Lots of laughter, people enjoying good food, nice vibe and I always find myself looking around to see what everyone else ordered. Definitely worth the wait--I'll be back. read more

I'm not sure where to start with this review because this was the BEST way to start off our trip to San Francisco. Do be mindful that they are halal and an order from the table restaurant. - We ordered the BBQ Deluxe Kebab Pack, a small side of salad, and brought our own bottle of wine to enjoy since it's BYOB. We anticipated a bit of a wait since the restaurant was super busy, and we also ordered the largest meal on the menu for our table. We enjoyed the complimentary tea in the meanwhile, and the attentive staff also brought cups for our wine (they do not have wine glasses because they are a halal establishment, which was not a problem). The tea was wonderfully aromatic, and had a beautiful balance of spices. The meal took about 20 minutes to come out after ordering from the QR code at the table, which was very fast !! The presentation was great, tucked between two flatbreads was our shrimp, beef, kofta, chicken kebabs, and lamb chops. Along with sides of hummus and garlic potatoes was a large plate of hot, heavily seasoned, and aromatic saffron rice. The hummus had an olive oil drizzle with a couple whole chickpeas for garnish, and the garlic potatoes were crispy and delicious !! Now, back to the protein. The shrimp and chicken had an amazing char to them that elevated their spices/marinades, and the lamb chops were juicy and tender. The beef and kofta kebabs were well seasoned. I would recommend pairing with the white garlic sauce to enhance it a bit more but no complaints at ALL. Later into our meal we were given the opportunity to try their mint lemonade, cantaloupe lemonade, and raspberry lemonade. They were DELICIOUS!! and tasted SOOO FRESHH !! I could write a whole paragraph about these... although I could, I'd prefer to highlight the amazing service. Syre (I really hope I spelt that right) was the reason we tried the lemonades, and continued to recommend overwhelmingly tasty items. He continuously swung by the table to make sure we were enjoying our meal, made sure we had everything we needed, and led us to their dessert. Now... we thought we were stuffed from the drinks and meal... but after Syre recommended the milk cakes & baklava... we caved. After he dropped them off to the table they were GONE. The pistachio milk cake was nutty, creamy, and a perfect balance of not-soggy and not-dry. The real all-star was the caramel milk cake, it reminded me of a tres-leches and was the first to be cleared off the table. The lamb chops were flavorful and perfectly cooked, with four generous pieces. The potatoes were crispy We also tried the lamb chops à la carte, but interestingly, the plate version was much better--juicier and not dry like the standalone order. For dessert, the pistachio milk cake was delicious, though a bit pricey at $8 for a small slice. Nice touch: they offer self-service spiced house tea, which adds to the overall experience. I came in around 830 before as the person seated. I was not given plates nor water. When I finally got my food the order was wrong. I ordered fries and the guy shows up with 2 wraps and basically told me too bad the kitchens closed. The food is still good but this experience left a bitter taste in my mouth and makes me hesitant to come back. There's only one thing Mazra needs to work on, the meats need to be cooked less time. All other foods are excellent. No matter how many times I have ordered their beef & lamb kabobs medium rare, they always come well done. I will attempt to order rare next time. And the chicken kabobs way overcooked dry. Ask the food runner for a cup of ice for our coke he said "I got you" but didnt get the cup of ice and got to ask a different server for my request.
