    Chicken kebab over rice
    Shruti Y.

Came here for a quick weekend lunch. Nice clean space, not super busy. The people behind the counter were pleasant. Parking is plenty, no issues there. The minced chicken kebab was moist and melt in your mouth good! The plate comes with 2 skewers of chicken, with rice and salad. While I loved their matcha chicken, the rice was a lot lacking in flavor. They offer 3 different kinds of sauces to go with the food and they were all delicious. I'll be back next time, maybe try their fish or lamb next time.

Got the chicken mix and it's so good! Better than Halal Guys. The chicken and rice are flavorful. Comes with a small salad and piece of bread. Would recommend.

Ordered the family set - Plenty of meat and rice - Salad portion is generous - Sauce is good - Price is very reasonable, the party tray portion could feed more than 7 people and price is below $14 per person!!! - Place is a bit small but plenty of table - Ambience is decent, when i went there is only one other customer overall experience is good

If you're looking for incredible Mediterranean food, this spot is a must-try! The chicken kabab and lamb kofta are absolutely amazing--juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The taste is easily 5/5. Prices are reasonable for the quality, so I'd give it a 4.5/5 on that front. The interior is pretty basic--nothing fancy--but it seems more like a quick pickup kind of place rather than a dine-in experience. That said, the service is outstanding (5/5)--friendly, fast, and welcoming. If you care more about great food than ambience, this place won't disappoint! Will definitely be coming back.

Family bundle for 3-4 plus extra 2 orders of meat and falafel.

Price - 5 stars. Value for money. Portion is huge. I ordered the party bundle. Food - 4 stars. Meat is well cooked - no charred or burnt! Kofta is the best - very moist. Falafel is a little dry. Spicy sauce is very very good. But I think they should also come out with a green- sauce for visual and taste effect. I saw them preparing the skewers. Everything is made from scratch. Location - very strategic. Near big Tasman intersection and has ample parking. Staff - Good service. Hardly smile because they are very hard at work. I called to order my food instead of doing it online.

I ordered chicken combo and falafal combo. Both the plates were amazing. The food is very tasty, fresh and authentic. Best part is the red and white sauce. The servers are also very kind and generous. They gave us extra sauce.

This is my favorite Mediterranean restaurant near to my apartment and I've ordered multiple times from this place on DoorDash. But recently, the restaurant name seems to have changed to Benjys kosher in DoorDash (see in the attached picture)

I love this place. Their portions are huge, their prices are fair, their service is extremely quick! It took probably less than 5 mins for them to bring my food out. I got the One Lamb Tikka and One Chicken Tikka Combo which I recommend. The combo comes with lamb, chicken, rice, a side of salad, and a piece of bread, as well as some sauces. I do think their meat can be a bit juicier, but overall the meal is super delicious and filling. Ask for extra white sauce, but their sauce changes each bite significantly! This restaurant has plenty of seating and is decently sized, so there's room to dine in. They also offer complimentary tea which I thought was very nice! This is my go-to spot when I'm craving halal, so I'd definitely recommend checking them out!

It's been a hard time for me to find excellent kebabs in San Jose, and I'm so happy I found this place. Very good kebabs! I loved the white sauce and my husband loves the red sauce.

my work has ordered from halal gyro express a few times and i usually opt for the lamb and chicken rice or over salad. the portion is a good size for lunch. there is a good amount of meat and it is well seasoned. it also comes with some vegetables: onions, cucumbers, etc. the rice is a little oily hence why i opted for the salad version this time. i recommend using the sauces they provide to make it even more flavorful.

It's refreshing to see a different cuisine in San Jose. I was excited to try afghan food here. I should have known something was going to be off based off the menu having burgers The staff was very friendly. Had no issues there The rice is very, very oily and lacked flavor. The chicken and lamb were dry. My partner got the lamb over rice and the protein looked great. It was cut up, didnt look dry, and was also tossed with cut up bell peppers. Its not pictured but we also got the spicy french fries, which is $1 more than regular french fries. The spicy sauce is literally white sauce and frank's red hot. Not worth it At the end if the meal, I felt very sluggish. Thats how much oil was in the meal especially in the rice

We decided to give this place a try and man we were not disappointed at all. It is located in a rather small business complex with other restaurants around. Parking can be a little tight during peak hours, but it is so worth it. It is a walk-up to order type of place where they bring your food out to you. The menu is clear to see, however they have a ton of options. One of the questions we had was what was the difference between a gyro and a souvlaki. The best way to think about it is, a gyro has shaved meat, while a souvlaki has skewered chunked meat. We ordered the dolmades, chicken gyro combo (comes with fries), and a beef souvlaki. The beef souvlaki was seasoned well and the red onions, French fries and other ingredients provides the perfect well-balanced flavor. The chicken gyro was also a well seasoned and balanced gyro in soft pita bread. The highlight for us,however, was the dolmades. If you think you have good ones throughout San Jose, I can guarantee, you will not see this one coming. It came out warm, slightly acidic, but also well balanced. It has meat in it,which I think might be veal or beef, I scarfed it down so fast I completely forgot to ask what type of meat they use. I cannot wait to go back and visit again. Those dolmades are calling me!

Their protein options are Falafel, chicken shawarma, steak shawarma, doner kebob, or pomegranate chicken. Doner kebab is a combination of beef and lamb, similar to gyro meat, cut up into small pieces , wish spices. I added hummus, tzatziki, tomato cucumber salad, sumac onions, pickled turnips, pickles, and Kalamata olives. I picked tahini for my sauce. I also got a bottle of water. I came into the restaurant asking how long my order would take, she said 10 minutes. Although there were chairs and tables under an eave, I chose to go to the car. Faviola brought the food to me and it was sprinkling outside! She even came back and gave us extra utensils when she realized there were two of us. All the while smiling:) I ordered via yelp because we were starving and easily this restaurant has their menu in organized and visually appealing. Their descriptions and the variety of selections and customizations on point. My husband said he wasn't hungry but then saw the food and we scarfed it all down. He gave it 8.5 and said would come back. I ordered pickled vegetables which I thought was going to be onions but I think it's actually cabbage. Not my preference so I will take that home to the parents. Did order yogurt dip- husband was a fan. The chicken thigh and filet were so tender. I had put a note on the order for medium rare. I wouldn't call that medium rare but it was tender nonetheless. I'm sad I had to pay extra for a half of a Roma tomato, salad and lavash- the lavash I saw it in the add-ons menu so I assumed it wasn't in there. Ended up with so much lavash. No need to buy extra. The entire thing came up to $63-ish. The food was 4/5 but service was 5/5! I know this economy has everyone struggling. This was probably the most I have spent on Mediterranean food.
