Pomegranate Chicken (GF, HL)
Racquel E.

You can customize your order--choosing from pita, falafel, shawarma, salad bowl, rice bowl, freekeh bowl or couscous bowl. I had the pomegranate chicken salad bowl topped with pickled cucumbers, cabbage slaw, diced beets, avocado, feta cheese, and tahini sauce. My hubby ordered the SAJJ Wrap with chicken shawarma. Our food was fresh, well-seasoned, and delicious. We'd definitely come back if we're in the area again.

Steak shawarma, pita chips, and hummus

The steak shawarma was good except for the steak. It had a gamey and livery taste that I wasn't a fan of, as I was expecting a grilled flavor. The fries were crispy, but just okay. The pita chips, on the other hand, were crunchy and paired well with the hummus.

I ordered to go at this place because I heard it was similar to cava. The interior was cute; I would've ate here if I didn't get take out. I would say it did satisfy my cava craving. I got the chicken shwarma with cucumber tomato, red peppers and tzaziki sauce. The ingredients tasted really fresh and yummy! The chicken had good seasoning and was pretty tender. It lasts me two meals because of the great portioning. It has pretty good value and I'd definitely come back here for a healthy feeling meal.

Quick and easy Mediterranean place. Build your own bowl, wraps, etc. Food tastes fresh and lots of sauce to your liking. Friendly and welcoming staff! I got the steak shawarma bowl with turmeric rice. The steak seasoned well and was soft but didn't have that rotisserie char. The eggplant and cauliflower were tasty. The cold toppings tasted fresh. Hot peri peri sauce had a small kick. The pita chips seasoned well and were fried perfectly. It was crispy and wasn't too hard. Hummus was average. The Dubai chocolate was too sweet for me but had good pistachio flavor in between. Meal also comes with a cup of lentil soup which was hot and full of lentil flavor. Would come back here for quick and easy Mediterranean food. Plenty of parking

This is one of my favorite spots for lunch when shopping in the area. My toddler loves the kids meal and thats a big win for me. My husband and I like the build you're own bowl style restaurants. The service is great. We'll be back for lunch soon.

i decided to stop by here because i was told it is similar to cava. i'm normally the type to order online because being met with so many options is overwhelming for me in person, but i decided to just order in person here since it was my first time. the lady that prepared my order was very sweet and did a great job of explaining the establishment and recommending me options. i got the chicken shawarma bowl and the toppings were, in fact, a bit overwhelming because there were so many options. they are unlimited, so i just decided to get a little bit of everything LOL. your order comes with a side of lentil soup. i also got their homemade strawberry lemonade. my total was $20.18! the bowls are very filling and fresh. i'd say you can split it into 2-3 meals. honestly, i haven't had cava in a fat minute but i'd recommend sajj to anyone who asks.

Friendly service, clean restaurant and yummy food. Lots of choices on how to fill your bowl and the complimentary soup cup is a nice way to start or add to the meal. I also was able to try the viral Dubai Chocolate I've been hearing about. Expensive for the amount you get but cheaper than buying a bar! It was too sweet for my taste and I would have preferred more pistachio flavor but now I know what people are talking about!

No Cava grill in the bay so this is the closest thing to it! I like the concept of the Mediterranean build a bowl with high quality ingredients. They've got a plethora of items to add to your bowl which is nice. The combinations work well for the most part, but I will say the sauces can get a little greasy so don't get too many of them. It's also a thoughtful gesture to include the complimentary soup!

dubai chocolate- I do not recommend buying it. It doesn't taste like dubai chocolate.

The food is standard SAJJ, as you would expect. The reason I am giving 3 stars is because of the service. I picked up an online order and it took 15 minutes longer than the scheduled pick up time. 15 minutes is not a long time, but I noticed they were fulfilling orders that came after mine. When I asked about my order the 2nd time, it ended up being the bowls of food that were by the register, but they didn't finish packing it. I guess they forgot about it. Also, I got the dubai chocolate and it was not good. I've had Dubai chocolate from Dubai, and the one at SAJJ does not taste good and was no where close to the taste of dubai chocolate.

It's my first time to try SAJJ and I'm glad that I did. I'd say this is the Mediterranean version of poke bowl for me. It's a build your own style. You line up, tell them what you want for your bowl, and then bring it to your table. Set up is perfect if you're busy and on-the-go. The chicken shawarma bowl is tasty and satisfying, with the garlic sauce and eggplant. Adding extra feta as topping surely elevates the Mediterranean taste even more. The bowl size is big. I also added the lentil soup and it's a nice warm side on a chilly day. It's the right amount of consistency for me. This meal is around $25. I guess that's the new average meal cost everywhere if you want a good food plus drinks and sides. Glad I now have an added option if I'm craving Mediterranean food.

Had a craving for Mediterranean style fast food and found this place nearby which was on point! Here you can build your own whether it's a wrap or a variety of bowls or have it built for you too. I chose my own rice bowl and the base is fluffy, turmeric rice (I asked for extra!) the. got the marinated chicken shawarma. They have six proteins including gluten free options. For spread I got the garlic sauce and tzatziki. You can add as little or do the nearly full meal deal which I did and included garbanzo beans, mixed greens, tomato cucumber salad, cherry peppers, pickled cukes, cabbage slaw, olives, avocados, and pickled turnips. Topped it with tahini sauce, balsamic vinaigrette and hot peri peri sauce. I got a side of warm pita bread. The manager also offered me a cup of split pea soup! Service was great and the interior was modern and very clean.

The food was enjoyable, but the service left much to be desired. The staff needs to be more attentive to customer preferences when fulfilling orders. My server was rushed, inattentive, and seemed disinterested in listening, which led to me receiving and eating items I hadn't ordered or wanted. This lack of care significantly impacted the overall dining experience. Have been going to this place a lot but now I do not know . Disappointed.

Service: excellent Food quality: great Portion size: smaller than expected Parking: ample, it is located in a plaza Overall great customer service. I placed my order online and it was ready by the time I got there. The workers were also welcoming and friendly. I ordered the family meal for $68 (paid extra +$5 for chicken kebab) and the protein portion seemed smaller than expected for the price. I used the $5 off for my first online order but honestly I probably won't order the family meal again because it looks like if you make individual orders the protein portion is larger. It tasted healthy but the description it says that it can feed 4 people, but that was barely the case.

If you do stop by for lunch, I recommend arriving with some times to spare as this place can get quite busy. That said, there's always seating and I recommend eating your food while it's still fresh. The thing about shawarmaji is that it's simple but everything is perfect. The chicken is tender, well-seasoned, and generously portioned in all of their items. Their pickles are homemade, have a little variety, and a satisfying amount of crunch. Their toum and chili sauce are also made in-house and are the perfect complement to their food. I always ask for extra. Their chicken shawarma fries are excellent as well. Same toppings as the wrap, but you swap out the flat bread for a generous portion of crispy, almost battered, fries. They're also available as a stand alone side and are worth getting, but the toppings really take it to the next level.

We ordered a chicken shawarma and were surprised that there was a large selection of sauces. I don't normally encounter that at shawarma places. He gave us a variety of sauces including different spicy sauces since we mentioned we love spicy food. I was really excited to try it! Once we got back, we got to eat our meal and it was really good! I loved all the sauces that they provided us. They had varying levels of spice and had wonderful flavors. I had so much fun trying out the different sauces and combinations. The chicken shawarma was also delicious. I loved the crunch in the shawarma from the cucumber and other things inside of it. I think my only note would be that the tortilla tasted a bit stale and that was the only thing I didn't like. Other than that, I really enjoyed my meal and would come back!

It definitely could have used the coleslaw and pickles promised by the menu but they weren't in evidence. That was the problem with the falafel wrap, too: the menu promised hummus, cabbage & tomatoes salad, and pickled turnips, but those ingredients weren't anywhere to be seen. There was some lettuce instead, but lettuce is a poor substitute as it just becomes immediately soggy and adds no flavor. If you've ever had falafel in Israel, you will be disappointed by the falafel here, unfortunately. (Israeli falafel shops each make at least a dozen toppings from family recipes, so you put as many veggies and sauces in as you can to create a flavor party in your mouth.)

I always ordered the chicken dish, so when it came out this time, I was genuinely confused. The menu describes it as having a garlicky yogurt sauce, but there was none. I even checked their website afterward, and the dish I received looked nothing like the one advertised. I also looked through recent reviews and photos from other customers, and even those dishes looked very different from what we were served. If the recipe or sauce changed, I really think customers should be informed. When I asked the waitress, she explained that it now comes with a zhoug sauce instead, but that isn't mentioned anywhere on the menu. Oddly enough, the same sauce was also used on the Dorada fish dish. We also used to love the lamb, but they changed that dish too by removing the sauce and couscous base. I'm not sure why the changes were made, but it's just not the same anymore. Overall, it was really disappointing, especially since we chose to spend Mother's Day here. The food quality has definitely gone downhill. On top of that, the restaurant seemed extremely understaffed -- there appeared to be only about three servers working the entire floor all night. The ambiance was still decent, but the overall experience just didn't feel like the Meso we used to love. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place anymore.
