When I first discovered Shawarmaji, I was ride or die. As of late, I think it's just ok. It is good for when you're in a pinch and need to satisfy the craving for shawarma. The beef and lamb arabi style wrap portion is pretty big. I got seasoned fries for the side and we were given a lot. I'm a big fan of the double fried fries or the so-called psoriasis fries. There was a good balance of crispy and mushy fries. Tastes really good with the toum and the tahini sauce. The wrap is a bit dry but the flavors are still good. I think I do prefer the chicken over the beef/lamb mainly for the tahini sauce. The service is kind of just ok. I didn't know you were supposed to grab the sides from the fridge and they didn't tell me until I had to go back and ask. The whole interaction just felt a bit awkward but I'm sure they were also just tired. The place could be a bit tidier and cleaner. There's also no public restroom for those wondering but they have hand sanitizer stations set up which is nice. Parking is not too difficult but I haven't been when it's peak hours.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! For as long as I can remember, my dad's been on the hunt for a place that can make chicken shawarma that tastes like what he remembers from living in Saudi Arabia. And Shawarmaji has been just that. Everything is so perfect and so flavorful. The portions are great (wraps are huge and a mini can easily fulfill me). The chicken shawarma fries are to die for. Food never takes too long no matter how busy it is. Decor is great to peruse at while waiting for the food and there is ample seating to enjoy your food once you get it. Parking can be tough, especially on the weekends, but there are surrounding streets where you can snag a spot for free (as long as you're willing to look). Been here a couple times now and each time is so good. Shawarmaji, you have my heart (and by that, I mean my stomach)!
I ordered online from here through a third party delivery app and everything was packed perfectly. I chose the Arbi chicken 12 inch wrap with extra meat that came with pickles on the side, extra toum and tahini salad. I should have gone with the fries on the side but maybe next time. I requested the wrap to be cut in half but my request wasn't honored and it was sliced into pieces. The filling was falling off on every bite which is why I requested the wrap to be cut in half. The chicken was scanty tbh. Not a lot of chicken even after paying for extra meat but the wrap was delicious. The pickles were my most favorite accompaniment with the wrap. The toum was garlicky and delicious! The tahini salad is cucumbers and tomatoes chopped up and mixed with tahini. I wish I had ordered a different side. I also ordered 6 falafels and they were delicious! I would love to try their shawarma wrap next time. The food delivery costed a lot throught the third party delivery app which as a note to self, I'll drive there myself to pick up the order or dine in next time. Delicious wrap!
Entertainingly large shawarma wraps with delish sauces -- the chipotle toum is my favorite!! I got a salad with chicken and pita crisps and it was a good cava stopgap. The portions are generous, with fresh ingredients and crispy pita chips being the perfect toppings to the salad. The shop itself is decently sized with room for groups of up to about 6! The service is super friendly and quick. You order at the counter and seat yourself. They also sell their sauces by the jar as well as a few other pieces of merchandise. Next time I will absolutely try a shawarma wrap!
Little spot off the main road, casual dining and a couple tables and chairs outside. Water station and laminated menus available, along with help yourself cooler of different types of drinks I hadn't seen before- which is fun. Sauces were very tasty, a white mild sauce and a chipotle sauce accompanied my rolled chicken:)

I always ask for extra. Their chicken shawarma fries are excellent as well. Same toppings as the wrap, but you swap out the flat bread for a generous portion of crispy, almost battered, fries. They're also available as a stand alone side and are worth getting, but the toppings really take it to the next level.
Food is freaking bomb here. I ordered fries, a chicken wrap, and a lemon mint drink. The fries were made to order so they were extra hot and crispy. The wrap was amazing. Dripping with their house sauce and big chunks of chicken with crispy pickles. The lemon mint was strong and refreshing. Perfect for a hot summer day. Will definitely be back to try the other menu options!
We found this place while searching for best shawarma in the Bay Area. It was a nice sit down place, with plenty of tables. You order at the counter and your name is called when food is ready. We order chicken shawarma wrap and the sauces on the side. First few bites in to the sandwich it was really good, but then I felt the chicken was not fully done and felt weird. I had a bad aftertaste after having the sandwich. I will try it one more time before I decide for this one to be a keeper or not!
Went with the lamb/beef wrap, beef shawarma fries, and three Freez Mix carbonated beverages. The lamb/beef wrap was disappointing since the protein itself was dry. The beef on the shawarma fries was also dry, but I enjoyed the fries themselves, which were nicely cooked with a good texture. The pomegranate, lychee and apple and grape drinks were okay and tasted like standard fruit sodas. Customer service was good, place was clean, and there is street parking available along with designated parking stalls close by.

The photos of the middle east showed people enjoying their life. The plaques of the different countries that make up Africa and Asia was educational. The server was very happy to accommodate us. In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger, "I'll be back."
I came back again late on a Thursday night. I ordered mostly the same stuff, but this time I actually got the side of pickles and two desserts. I was able to see the interior this and it's a pretty cozy place to grab a bite. There were a decent amount of people eating there. The pickles were REALLY good. Nice strong vinegar taste and super crunchy. They really elevated the wraps in my opinion. I liked that there was a nice variety and I think I'd come back just for these lol. When I picked up the food, I decided to buy both of the desserts. The rice pudding is on the drier side, which is different to me, but I still really enjoyed it. It's also not overly street, has a light floral taste, and paired nicely with the pistachios. The layali ammani was okay to me, but I think it's because it had a strong flavor I was not used to. The texture was nice and I liked the pistachio toppings, but it almost had an alcohol like taste at the end. Overall, I really like this place and I'm glad I came back!
Horrible if I'm gonna be quite honest with you , the price and value of the food doesn't justify the platters / wraps due to lack of quality and love imbued into the dishes . Sadly looks a lot better than it tastes . Falafels and tahini were the only saving grace in my opinion , chicken was overtly dry and under seasoned. The wraps had little to no filling , and the French fries were extremely limp and cold upon arrival. This was a place I spent 85 plus dollars on and the amount of food was a pity, in addition to this location not being easy to park and get food from this was a pure waste of time and I've gone to places where wraps aren't the specialty and they don't show off in your face about their food and those places are 100x better, I'm not a harsh dude but this place won't be receiving my business again . If they are the shawarma experts than I can take you to the moon because this wasn't it and quite frankly I hope they can actually Serve quality going forward. It was quite embarrassing to eat this and have no pride for the cuisine being of Jordanian / Arab descent myself , if you want something close to Americanized / middle eastern / Jordanian cuisine that tastes better,I'd recommend the dish dash restaurant chain instead or my own cooking / Arab families house for a more authentic experience. And from the words of my mother her self who is full blooded Jordanian ,"they don't deserve such a beautiful business name , they've disgraced it and aren't worthy of it" shawarmaji means master / expert @ shawarma making ,and sorry ; but what once might have been the standard is now a thing of the past and in a state of current delusion to keep pushing forward . An up to date reflection of what is really going on is genuinely needed.This will be my last impression and I no longer look eager to eating at this establishment ever again. Btw they forgot my side salad (tabouleh ) another cherry on top if you will .
Food is great and clean, they serve halal meat if that's what your looking for and for us regular meat lovers, we can also enjoy their food just fine. Service is a service counter type, they are helpful in anyway you need and can, quick and fast food deliverance after order. The ambience, clean and uncluttered counters are easy seatable and good furniture.
Shawarmaji had been on my hit list for years with friends and friends of friends swearing by the restaurant. Went for a weeknight dinner around 6PM and there was no line. Food did take a little bit to come out though, so I'd guess that if it's more crowded, you should be prepared to wait. Parking is a bit of a pain as they only have street parking and there's only enough seating for ~20-ish people at a time. The menu is pretty small, but pricing isn't bad as the wraps are pretty big. I will say everyone who LOVES this place said I missed out by skipping the fries, so that might've been the missing star. Chicken Wrap (Rabieh Style): Wrap was nicely toasted and the chicken is perfectly seasoned with a nice bit of caramelization. The garlic toum is sharp and the cheese added the perfect amount of salt. White sauce with the hot sauce add both creaminess and a bunch, all in all it's a good shawarma wrap. I don't know if I'd travel out of my way to try this, but if I was local, I could see being a regular. read more

Genuinely disappointed with myself for not having tried Shawarmaji sooner. The chicken wrap is just perfection. I almost got the mini but I'm so glad I treated myself to the regular size. The staff is friendly right when you walk in and they recommended the chicken. No notes at all. The chicken is cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and juicy. I love the structure of the wrap, crisp outside + it being thin and long makes it easy to eat and ensures you get all the flavors and textures in each bite. Slightly sweet, savory, and spicy. The garlic and chipotle toum sauces are just *chefs kiss*.. literally had a Ratatouille moment like that scene when Remy had the berry and cheese combo. I'm still thinking about the sauces and just thinking about the next time I'll get to come back here !! Excellent food and great value. Parking can be tricky with the lot but we didn't have any trouble finding street parking. A beautiful gem of a restaurant in Santa Clara. read more
Small place with maybe 10 tables in total. Great spot to grab lunch in at noon. Shawarma came with a variety of sauces, each one with differing flavor palates. They also gave extra when asked for no charge which is deeply appreciated. Off to the food review!!! 4.1/5 - Chicken Shawarma Wrap - I like this better than the lamb/beef one. Its tender and didn't taste dry at all. Quite flavorful and filled with a crunchy wrap and peppers/onions in it as well. 3.8/5 - Lamb/Beef Shawarma Wrap - I usually get lamb in a most middle eastern or shawarma places, but this one didn't hit the spot. It felt a bin grainy in texture, and the game-y flavor is still prominent which i can take, but i know certain people aren't a fan. The outer layer is quite crunchy. Inside was meat, peppers and onions. Definitely eat it with the sauces it helps cut down the fat a bit. 3.3/5 - Chicken Shawarma Fries - This was a disappointment of the meal. It definitely looks the part, but didn't feel like a well put together combination. Just feels like fries with toppings and needed a lot of additional sauce to make up for it. It has pickled onions, jalapenos, and onions, just need a better sauce maybe than the regular ones. read more

The fries here are amazing. Will come back for that crispy crunchy goodness. Even though they were cold they were still crunchy. They also gave us a drink on the house. Quick service even though we came in at closing, and the pickled veggies are also great. read more

Flavor (5/5): If you haven't had Jordanian food before be prepared for a flavor roller coaster! Just sauces alone there are so many combos for unique bites here. They don't skimp on their food here, everything felt so hearty and filling! The rocket along was almost 2 feet long! Instagram Worthy (4/5): Cute restaurant decorated with notes from the culture that started this restaurant in the first place. Lots of seating and very open! Service (5/5): Friendly staff, quick for food to come out! Takeaways: Always open to trying new cuisines and this one was a hit! I've been looking for a good shawarma spot & Shawarmaji has definitely become my go to in South Bay. Their wraps are so good & their service is always super quick. The outside of the store is a little unassuming but they have a decent amount of street parking nearby & a good amount of seating indoors. We've tried their lamb, chicken, and falafel wraps which we all enjoyed but my favorite was the lamb. Their shawarma fries are also great & I love their also have pickled veggies / toum. They have a variety of drinks - my favs are the Jordanian coffee & Lemon Mint drink. read more

They have two different locations including one in Oakland. This one has parking right outside and it can get busy during peak hours. My favorite are the shawarma fries here that's loaded with beef and lamb protein, the garlic sauce is also what I dream about everyday. Food is fresh and delish, you can taste the quality. Service is also amazing they do a great job of taking care of the customer. I really enjoyed my experience here. read more

I was craving a wrap and this place did not disappoint!!! got the chicken wrap with extra chicken and it was so flavorful. also got the salad next to the drinks and it was very refreshing, on the citrusy side. They had plant or sauces to try and each one was delicious. walking in, pretty spacious and there's some seating outside which is nice. The service was also great, the girl helped with the questions I had and overall such a great experience. would definitely come back read more
Falafel wrap, panini option: I thought it was pretty good, minus that I didn't like the lemon inside since I thought the lemon was overpowering and unpleasant. The pickles and tomatoes made it more sour. Falafel wrap, with pomegranate molasses added, and removing lemon: I liked it much better when I came back a second time and made these modifications, as it resulted in more of a sweet and sour flavor profile. The molasses are definitely quite sweet. 8 falafels by the piece: They're crispy on outside and softer inside. If you eat the sauce first, though, in my opinion, it really drowns out the falafel flavor. I opted for extra garlic sauce (toum), that and the tahini were really good. They gave me 2 extra falafels which was kind of them. Rose tamarind drink: It's very sour, can't really make out the rose in my opinion. The cup was smaller than I expected, but compostable. They had two outdoor tables but one is very close to the door, and no bathroom offered at the time that I went. Parking was for up to 1 hour up through 6pm, but 2 hrs is allowed after 6pm. My order didn't come with utensils by default so I went in go get some. Overall I would say the food is quite good and their spices are excellent. I am grateful that they always have vegetarian options. read more

I love the size of the wrap; it makes it very easy to eat and very portable. The sauces provided also add to the experience. I enjoyed my beef / lamb wrap. The only thing I don't like is the parking situation in this area. Super stressful and you get boxed in by the delivery drivers. Unfortunately, this isn't something that the location can easily fix. read more

I got this delivered through Foodie Earth for dinner and it hit the spot! I got the chicken wrap arabi style with fries ( those were forgotten with my order), lamb beef wrap, and 3 falafels. From what I've seen on the reviews, the chicken wrap is everyone's favorite, but for me the lamb wrap was my favorite!! Loved the meat and there was a good amount of it. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and Foodie Earth made it so easy so I didn't have to leave my apartment and deal with the parking, I've driven past this place and parking seems to be limited. read more

Really disappointed with their recent customer service. It's left a really bad taste in my mouth and I'm good off spending money there from now on. My friend came in to place a pick up order and it was 11:40am, waited about 25 minutes with other peoples orders being called out and given to them, and then he went up to ask where his order was and then Muska was like "OMG I forgot to print your order out". No apology. The order came out, she didn't offer any extra sauces like how she was offering everyone else, and it had no utensils or napkins. Work on your customer service training because this was really off putting. read more

Can't believe I haven't written a review for Shawarmaji yet! You truly cannot go wrong ordering anything off the menu here, because everything here is fantastic. From the shawarma and falafels to the fries and all the wonderful sides, everything is jam packed with flavor, cooked to perfection, and served up in portions that will leave you full. Favorites here are the Chicken wrap served arabi style - so you can enjoy the pickles, fries with toum, and the falafels. I've gotten both the toum and the tahini from their grab and go fridge to enjoy at home, sadly they don't sell the tahini like that anymore, it seriously was/is the best tahini I've ever had. Service is always very warm and friendly. This spot is pretty casual but they do a good job of bringing the Jordanian culture in with loads of pictures on the wall. They have a handful of tables and some high top bar/ledge seating. Parking in the area can be tough as most of the side streets are for residents only, but you can usually circle around or find something a little further down the block. read more
One of the best shawarmas I have had. It was incredibly filling and the sauces were fantastic especially the garlic one. It was so delicious I had to go back for seconds before leaving. The staff were really friendly, provinding great suggestions and the food came out really quick. The atmosphere was really pleasant the only downside was there weren't any restrooms inside but that doesn't alter the experience at all. I would absolutely go back! read more

This is the best place I've been to in a while. I've been thinking about it ever since I got it the last time and have been dying to come back. I got the chicken arabi style plate. The chicken is so flavorful and the pomegranate molasses pairs so well with the toum and pickles. The iced Jordanian coffee was sweet and tasted like cardamom which is my favorite.
