Good food, good vibes. Gonna try the next one with a bit more spice but loved the food. Picked up the food quickly

This place is a gem, and the owners are so sweet. Showed up at just before kitchen closing time with 2 toddlers, they were very hungry and a bit fussy. The man was incredibly kind and allowed us to order food still, ordered it To Go and sat outside. I have a bell pepper allergy and my friend is vegan which he accommodated easily. He ended up serving us outside "for here" so my kids could eat quicker. They had cute little kid tray plates, forks and spoons and everything. Food was some of the best Thai food i've had, large portion sizes. My husband, 2 kids and i were able to share the pumpkin curry, pad thai and lamb sticks. My friend got the pad siew and struggled to finish it. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. We would 1000% go back there again. Also the matcha sticky rice and ice cream was hands down the best sticky rice i ever ate. My kids and i devoured it and I'll probably dream of it. I'm a bit confused by the negative comments on here of the pricing. They seem on par with average pricing in the area, and we were sooooo happy with the food and service that i would pay it again every time, knowing the food and services would be great. Instead of supporting big businesses, why wouldn't we want to support small family owned places who deliver amazing fresh meals and kind service. Also, we're teachers so not like we have a big bank account! Wish i had pics, ate it all too quickly because it was that yummy. Thank you so much for taking care of my family! read more

I came here on a Wednesday night with a friend. We were surprised with a rock band playing outside and come to found out is a summer series with music playing live every Wed night. Pretty cool! We wanted to sit outside near the band to hear the music. My friend picked this place. We enjoyed the food and also live band playing. What can you ask for more. The food was ok. We enjoyed the music playing. The summer series will run every Wed night. If you come on a Wednesday night and sit outside at this restaurant, you have a wonderful view. Many folks bring their own chair as well. read more

I don't go to Murphy Street often because parking can be difficult, Siam Taste definitely makes it worth it! This was our first time coming here. They have seating inside and outside, we chose to sit inside. Surprisingly not too many diners on this weeknight. We ordered the chicken pad see ew, lemongrass chicken, and mango sticky rice. They have a pretty big menu. My partner usually is okay about Thai food but not his favorite, but he really enjoyed his meal here! I loved the flavors of each dish and everything was perfectly seasoned. Nothing was too sweet or too salty, it was just right. Everything came out quickly and the mango sticky rice came out at a perfect time. We'll have to try the other offerings on their menu next time! read more

A quick stop in Sunnyvale, I had time for a quick bite and found myself at Siam Taste. I had a craving for Thai Fried Rice, and I chose the tofu option. The rice was nicely cooked and seasoned, and there were plenty of fresh veggies, but only four cubes of tofu. Regardless, it tasted good, exactly what I wanted and needed for my time on the road. If you're near Murphy Street, Siam Taste is a great place to stop for Thai flavor. read more

Came here by chance as our intended spot doesn't open until 5pm on Mondays. And, come to find out, a few other restaurants on Murphy Street are closed on Mondays. There was only a few other people here right in the heart of lunchtime. If you like really spicy food, this place is for you. They rank spiciness from 1-5. I went with 3 and it did have a nice kick. I ordered pad Thai with chicken. I was expecting wide noodles wirh a thick peanut sauce. I did not taste much peanut. There were some chopped peanuts as part of the garnish. The noodles were more like spaghetti. Flavor was ok over all, just not what I was craving. read more

Wow, I was surprised to see the low rating for this restaurant that has clearly stood the test of time. We dropped in a couple of weeks ago for Saturday lunch and had a pretty good meal. The service was quick and the outdoor seating was comfortable. We were with another family who ordered only vegetarian dishes, and they were happy too. We tried the Veggie appetizer platter, the Roti Prata, the Crab Fried Rice, and the Pad Kee Mao. The roti prata was a minor disappointment since it tasted more like the frozen kind than something made fresh, but everything else was tasty and served hot. The crab fried rice was excellent. There are plenty of good Thai places in the South Bay now, but if you are in the historic Sunnyvale downtown area, this one is worth a shot. read more

I was in the mood for Thai food, so I looked for a spot that wasn't too crowded in the afternoon and decided to give this place a try. Since the weather was nice, a lot of people were enjoying their meals on the patio. The menu had not only traditional Thai dishes but also some fusion options. Depending on the dish, you could choose the spice level and type of protein, which I thought was great. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. For drinks, we ordered Iced Thai Tea and Pink Milk. Both were on the sweet side and paired well with the spicy food. The Thai tea tasted more like juice than tea to me, but overall they were enjoyable. read more

I'm surprised this place has a relatively low rating considering the experience and (siam) taste we got! We visited on a Monday evening around 6 pm, one of the few restaurants that were open on Murphy ave on a Monday. Generally pretty good ambiance, as we sat outside and not very many people were around. I saw (on Gemini) that they had a soy satay, which I've never had before and found to be pretty unique! I'm glad I asked because there was no indication on the menu - or maybe I missed it because I remember that I thought it was another Gemini hallucination. The peanut sauce it came with was very delicious and I found the satay to be very filling. Texture was similar to chicken satay according to my dinner friend who eats meat. We also got the Thai basil fried rice with tofu and spring rolls. The fried spring rolls were pretty par for the course, and came with a nice spring roll sauce. The basil fried rice looked to be very saucy but I actually found the flavor profile itself to be a bit lacking even though the rice looked like it was *glistening*. It was definitely on the spicy side (and we asked for medium spice) so if you really want a kick, you could go even spicier! read more

Service was efficient and always accommodating. Then again we practically had the place to ourselves ( Monday @630pm). It's older vibe in historical downtown Sunnyvale. Food was excellent: Ordered the Tom Ga ( soup with coconut milk), Roti, Pad Thai, Fish wrapped on banana leaves, Red Curry, and white and brown rice ( which looked more like forbidden rice). It was all flavorful, spicy ( based on our palate) and comforting. Mango with sticky rice was perfect dessert to wrap up our dinner! read more

Had a good lunch at Siam Taste the other day. I don't recall if there was a lunch special menu but the two of us ended up getting three dishes ala carte. Spring rolls with shrimp as appetizers. Man these were plump and big! Comes with six pieces and dipping sauce. Pretty good, especially if you like fresh mint leaves flavor. Next dish was Penang curry I believe. Or some kind of curry anyway. Tasty sauce but could have used a bit more chicken. Also a little thick for me. And it wasn't served hot enough (temperature, not spice). Final dish was broccoli and beef. This was a unique one for me as I'm used to the Chinese version and this definitely had a different type of sauce/flavor. Again very thick sauce and was kind of lukewarm temperature. The service was good. The place was old but clean. Pleasant. They service food on nice dishware. Three dishes plus tax and tip was pretty expensive over $70 for a weekday lunch with only water to drink. This kind of drove my star rating. read more

One of my favorite Thai spots. The food is always so good, and the service is just as great. The server is super sweet and always remembers us, which makes every visit feel personal. My favorites are the lamb curry, papaya salad, and the fried banana with ice cream -- I could honestly come here just for that dessert! Other dishes we enjoyed: * Roti with chicken * Chicken and lamb skewers * Pineapple fried rice * Spring rolls * Pad see ew * Brown rice * Mango sticky rice Everything is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and amazing service -- what more could you ask for? Highly recommend! read more

I can't believe this place is still open. The food is horrible! i ordered Penang curry and it was tasteless and the color was not like other Penang curries. It was a forest green color. The pad see ew was soggy and totally tasteless. It's no wonder why there wasn't anyone there at dinner time. read more

My SO and I stopped by Siam Taste for lunch during the week while running errands. Service There was only one person taking care of the place as they weren't too busy for lunch. There was one other dine in customer. FOOD * Khao Soi Noodle Soup * Panang Curry Both entrees offered a delightful burst of flavor, making for a satisfying meal. The portions were generous, which allowed me to take my noodle soup home as leftovers. I particularly enjoyed the addition of red onions and mustard greens in the soup, as they complemented the dish nicely. The curry broth was well-seasoned, and the egg noodles were a great choice, enhancing the overall experience. Overall, a pleasant and quaint dine in experience. read more

After a long walk downtown at the farmers market and event they had, my girlfriend and I decided to give this place a try. When we arrive, the lady up front did not acknowledge us. She just point to a table to sit. No water given, no acknowledgement. Long story short, did not get to eat the food because service is just bad. We walked out and left. Never to come back again. The end. read more

Horrible customer service. The lady who attended to us and was serving us was extremely rude. She almost seemed irritated that we went to their restaurant! After placing the order she pretty much snatched the menus out of our hands. Oh, and the food was almost cold! I wrote a big fat 0.00 for tip on the receipt. read more

Lunch for two...$90.00. No alcohol. I just don't see it. On the steep side for very strange tasting food. Small Pad Thai, 4 chicken skewers and two beef tacos. I wouldn't order any of those dishes again. The chicken had an especially off putting taste. We were seated and able to order very quickly. If I could recommend something to improve things, focus on fewer dishes and make them taste better. Two multi page menus seem too ambitious and unnecessary. Really wasn't very good. read more

Amazing thai food, service is quick. Can be a bit pricey but worth it if you're craving thai and in the area!

Down town Sunnyvale, lots of restaurants, stores & bars, in the walk area or just around the area, so if you're just hanging out, this would be the place to be. Lots of parking, some you'll have to walk depending on where you're parking, but that's why you're visiting the area right? Nice little location, the people are very friendly from the time you walk in, get seated & are served. Pretty small inside but, it fits a good amount of people. If you don't mind being a little squishy & enjoying good company & yummy food. We specifically go here for the coconut chicken soup w/noodles (you can pick the type) Pad Thai (you choose the spice level) Mango Sticky Rice is a Must Have you will NOT be disappointed & it's big enough to share but, if you're feeling a little extra Fluffy get a whole plate to yourself. read more

We came here for dinner on a Thursday night. The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived at 7pm, but the environment seemed nice and clean, and we got good service since we were literally the only table getting served by the restaurant. This restaurant had good options of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, and the spice level was on a scale from 1 to 7. We ordered a plate of fried rice and pad kee mao to share and the portion size was pretty reasonable for the price. I really wanted to try the spicier levels at 5+, but my friends wanted to enjoy their food and so chose a spice level of 3. However, even at a spice level of 3, the food was actually spicy. I would definitely want to come back and try something spicier from here. read more

This is one of our go-to Thai restaurants in Sunnyvale. It's unassuming inside, but the service was fast and very attentive. We didn't get rushed even though it was near closing time. My family and I consider ourselves professional foodies, and this is our FAVORITE Thai restaurant. We've traveled to Thailand and the food at this restaurant is authentic. Our favorite dishes include Woon Sen Salad, Fish Cake, Pad See Eew, Pad Kee Mao, Massaman, Eggplant with Basil, and Mango Sticky Rice. Their Thai ice tea is refreshing with just the right level of sweetness. I believe this restaurant is family-run and their service is excellent and friendly. New year's eve and lots of rain made us opt for ubereats delivery :) lazy me! The order placement was smooth and the order came to us in 50 mins (not bad given the occassion). In $55 (before tip) we got: - Pad thai noodles with chicken - 5/5 yummy and fresh noodles and a huge portion size to serve 2 as lunch :) this was for $17 before tax - veggie house curry - 5/5 (no meat option is available to add in this one) too good loved the taste and im glad thay they generously provided a lot of vegetables in the yummy red spicy curry. The portion size was more than the regular 16 oz box but it was not 32 oz either. I feel it was more like 22 oz and costed $20 (a lil pricy for veg item) - penang curry with chicken - 2/5- skip this one. The chicken was dry in it and the only other thing i saw was a lot of green bell pepper. So plz skip this item and try something else.this was 16 oz for $17. All of these items did not come with rice (even after being so expensive). So u need to order rice separately or be smart like me and make your own rice while your order is on the way. The heat levels range from 0-5 and i tried level 3 and 4. I feel if u like spicy then start with level 3 coz that was more flavorful than level 4. I feel level 4 was all chilli (hot and spicy) and it over powered on other flavors. Decent packaging and good service :) #supportlocal I will be returning for veggie curry and pad thai :) and maybe will try their fish next time! read more

I like this place! They have varying degrees of spicy, and I don't remember what I ordered, cuz I was probably 12 beers deep by the time we remembered that one cannot simply survive on beer and sometimes ya gotta stuff your face with food. Which, by the way, since we're on the subject, is total BS. "Intelligent Design" my butt! I think we need to go back to the drawing boards with this "God" people seem to think so highly of. I'd like to see what credential he has to be designing sentient beings. And, like, why would you put the brain and the spinal cord practically on the outside of all the same spots? You'd think those would be in the very middle of our bodies, completely protected by our skeletons. Real "intelligent" there. Pfft. Anyway, the food was good, I'd probably be back. Don't remember the price though because I was being treated by coworkers, which is really the only way to dine out these days. read more

Walking in I can tell it's an authentic Thai restaurant as there have so many variety in their menu. Plus they have the old menu book that is old and tattered. So if you want a quiet dining you can dine inside but want a festive vibe you can dine outside. The service is excellent. Over charged the Salmon extra $10 with the Salmon Green Curry so basically the green curry $19 witj nothing in there! If you pick beef, salmon, shrimp.. you have to pay that extra $$! Things that aren't supposed to be spicy are still spicy. I love spice, but my family members who can't handle spice know that they could order pad see ew anywhere and it'll be a safe option - even in Thailand! But not at Siam Taste. Both the pad see ew and pad thai came with pepper flakes scattered all over, and were too spicy. The online takeout order form doesn't give spice level options on those dishes, either. We need to be able to accommodate different taste preferences, so we won't be coming back. read more

It's a simple small Thai restaurant in the middle of downtown Sunnyvale. I'm glad we tried this place because I had a good Pad Thai experience! Pad Thai is my go to dish whenever I crave Thai food. It is actually good because I get to try different takes on one dish. I must say this is one of the good ones I've tried. The noodles is cooked nicely, the flavor is done well. I am biased to mild sour taste in food and this one has a nice hint of sour. There's also a good ratio of meat, toppings and noodles in one serving. I must say though it's on the pricey side being $13.50 for the plate, but I've had pricier ones which is not a good as this. Satisfied with the food and decent dining experience. The place is not fancy but the service is good enough. Glad they have outdoor because I wouldn't have tried it here indoors. There's option for QR code menus or the staff getting your order. They got the food out quickly. Checkout was also fast. read more
