So we went here on a whim for a little lunch date. We were tired of the main stream restaurants in the area and wanted something fresher. This was just that! I genuinely enjoyed the food and the vibe of the place is very cute. The service is more self-service with the meal brought to you. I would say the only difference I would make to my future order is: Make spicier, and request more kimchi. I did order the chicken with spicy original and the overall meal was very sweet from what I was expecting. Luckily in the self serve area they had spicy sauces.

Nice Korean joint that's been around for years. I ordered for my family via doordash today and was very impressed. Good food that's easy on the wallet. We ordered the Mandu, Classic Bibimbap Bowl, and Chicken Japchae. All the dishes were fresh, and tasty. The Japchae in particular was very impressive. We are big fans of Korean Glass Noodles and we've had it at some of the top rated Korean restaurants in the Bay Area. But TBH the one we had today from Bibimbowl impressed us more than most we've had in the Bay Area over the years. I'll definitely order again!

Was in the mood for Korean food while on a trip to Mountain View, so I thought I'd check this place out after seeing the good reviews. There is a decent amount of parking as it's placed alongside a couple of other restaurants, but was unfortunately crowded and took a long while to get as a result. We decided to try ordering through a QR code they had on their window that led to their website, but the website was exceptionally wonky for us and for some reason refused to accept the cards we were trying to use to pay. Once we figured it out the wait time took around 40 minutes. The good news about all of this is that the food was very good. The Classic Bowl and the Japchae were both very tasty, and gave me a nice feeling of homeliness that took the form of the better meals that my family used to cool. Would I come back? In all honesty, I'm not sure. The wait time made my bad mood even more unpleasant, but I am interested in some of the other dishes on their menu. Only time can tell, and if that day ever comes, I hope the ordering and waiting goes a lot smoother than it did now.

Our family loves Bibimbowl and wish they were open on weekends! The kids never leave their bowls unfinished. We typically order the hot stone bowl when we're there. Veggies, Tofu, and Teriyaki Sauce with eggs added. Highly recommend!!! As I type this, yum, feels like I gotta make another run! Taking away a star as there have been times when service and care was missing.

was unsure what to have for lunch and decided to try this place and was glad we did. The place is not hard to find and has plenty of parking in this plaza so it wasn't difficult to find a space. It is located in an area with other places to dine but we elected for bibimbowl as their menu looks appetizing. It is clean and the staff are friendly. We ordered tofu beef soup which included rice, japchae glass noodles, cucumber and kimchi. We didn't wait long for our meal to be served and once ready it was hot and fresh, it also tasted so good! Enjoyed our meal and will definitely return again.

We had dinner here a few days ago because we checked it out on Yelp. It seemed to have a lot of good reviews and we wanted to try out some Korean food. The prices seemed pretty reasonable too. We got there and it was more like a take out kind of place. They did have some indoor seating so it was kind of like a casual dining kind of place. You order at the counter and then find a seat. They bring the food to you. All of the utensils, water, and napkins are on a side shelf so you just serve yourself. The food came out pretty quick. You could order the bibimbap in a regular plastic bowl or in a stone pot. I ordered it in the stone pot for a more authentic kind of experience. Mine came out last but it was okay. My daughter and husband got the tofu soup. My daughter got the combination with the seafood and the beef and my husband got the beef. My daughter got it plain with no spice and my husband got it spicy. My bibimbap was pretty good but it was really hard to eat. There were only plastic utensils so it was hard to scrape the rice off the bottom of the stone pot. It felt like my plastic fork was gonna break. My egg was overcooked so it didn't really spill over when I cut through it for the bibimbap. My daughter's tofu soup was different. We are used to eating tofu soup back home and this one had different kind of ingredients in it. It was a little unusual with the zucchini and carrots. She loved the seafood part of it and ate up all the clams. The broth was a little different from what we are used to. My husband didn't like his tofu soup at all. He said the broth was very salty and he didn't like his dish. Overall, it was an interesting concept to bring bibimbap to casual dining. I enjoyed mine but hope that they would have metal spoons instead of plastic ones. It was good to try it out since we don't have anything like this kind of place where we live.

I like coming here on my lunch break whenever I'm craving a tofu and rice plate. Their tofu dish is perfect for vegans or vegetarians, and the customer service is always great. The food tastes consistently delicious, and I love pairing it with their miso soup. The portions are generous and definitely filling, making it a tasty and affordable option.

Came here on a Thursday night and it was empty so there was a lot of space to sit! Good: - Decently fast service - food came after 10-15 minutes - Loved the bowls and got a hot stone with beef which was so tasty with the fried egg and gochujang - Food came out fresh and tasted like it Bad: - Pretty casual no frills place and service is pretty much self serve Overall a solid place for clean Korean food and decent prices too.

I've only ordered takeout from here so far and it was pretty good! I chose the "Fresh bowl" with half rice and half salad, plus spicy pork, a hard boiled egg, kimchi, cucumber salad and original sauce (gochujang). I like that you can customize to your liking and everything was fresh, tasty, fast, and well balanced. Great for a work lunch or a quick dinner!

Went here for lunch. Got the Hot Stone - Chicken and Shrimp with Brown rice. As the name suggests, the bowl was super hot (almost sizzling) which enhanced the taste of the food. The chicken and shrimp were very tasty and the food was hot till the last bite. Loved the crispy brown rice that got stuck to the stone :D For obvious reasons the hot stone is available when you dine is, so would recommend eating here to get a better experience.

I first found this place on door dash years ago. They handled the group order well. This time, we came in for a sit down lunch. We ordered at the front. They were kind, although slightly distracted with the prep for all the online orders they were preparing. Eventually we got our order in and sat down. // Tofu soup. The flavor of the soup was fine. The tofu chunks were huge, and in themselves had no flavor. I guess i would have preferred more flavor in the tofu itself, or at least cut into smaller chunks to spread the flavor out. // Hot stone bibimbop. The ingredients were fine, but the stone pot wasn't that hot. There was barely any crispy rice sticking on the outside. The veggies were crisp, and the beef provided a tasty source of iron. We tried the standard bibimbop sauce, and it has just the right amount of spiciness. // Chapchae. Good, with beef. Lots of veggies, and everything was nicely presented. It was in a togo box, and we took the leftovers home.

my work orders from bibimbowl occasionally and this time i opted for the bibimbap (not stone pot). it is a reasonable price given how expensive korean food tends to be nowadays. the bowl comes with a lot of vegetables, marinated egg, and i added beef. the dish was flavorful with the sauce and overall it was a pretty healthy meal. the portion is not super big, so if you have a big appetite you may not be full with this meal. i like the option to add more protein. next time, i would like to try the dolsot hot stone bibimbap, though i imagine it's better in the restaurant vs. ordering online as my meal was not very warm.

    Any gluten free meals?

Most of their foods are gluten-free. The mantu (dumplings) are not.

Is the kimchi made with fish or fish sauce? Is the broth for the tofu soup have dried fish in its red broth?

I hope so because it makes it more nutritious and tasty but if you are vegan, yes their website says kimchi has fish sauce. You should pick up some vegan pickles at your local Korean market to substitute out if you cannot eat it

Does their kimchi have fish sauce in it?

    AFAIK yes

The broth is the best part, you can season it to your own taste but the base itself is already pretty great! Very savory. Service was quick and efficient, and they moved us to a larger table after hearing how much we were ordering We definitely overordered and got a seafood pancake to start, the smaller size of bossam, a kimchi tofu soup, and a beef bibimbap. The bossam took a while to come out, and by then we were already pretty full off of the pancake, soup and bibimbap. Service sizes are generous, and this definitely would've been enough for 4+ people to share. There was a great assortment of different banchan - my favorite is the jelly! The pancake was nice and crispy, with a good amount of seafood, the bibimbap had a great amount of crispy rice at the bottom and the tofu soup was comforting and exactly what we were looking for. The bossam had a lot of meat - I kind of wished there was more radish and napa to go with the meat, but it was tender, not too fatty, and satisfying. We had plenty of leftovers to take home. Jang su jang is still a classic staple, and has a delicious offering for almost any korean craving you could want. It's a little pricey, but comparable to other options in the area with consistent quality that makes it worth it in my opinion.

The meat was juicy, fatty, and flavorful with a little hint of smokiness that completed the experience that I desire from beef. The 해물 파전 isn't made conventionally. It has this beautiful crispy top that adds a new dimension to the experience. The 잡채 wasn't as plentiful as I would've liked but it doesn't matter since it functions as an appetizer to the rest of the meal. The 된장찌개 was yummy for someone who hasn't tried it before. I should also mention that the complimentary side dishes includes raw marinated crab which was absolute heaven. Squeeze it like a toothpaste bottle and the juicy crab comes right out. One of my friends is a big eater (just a beefier human in general), so we decided to get an extra order of 눈꽃살. If I were to order again for the same group of friends (4 people total), I would order 해물 파전, 돌솥 비빔밥, 청담 갈비, 양념갈비, and 눈꽃살. I think its close to the amount of food that we ordered, but a little more affordable and some (superior) substitutions. The staff was friendly and efficient which was fantastic.
