I was a bit surprised to see how low this place was rated, but I get why after stopping by. The good was good but not great. The braised tofu was lukewarm, but I would've preferred it hot. The black bean sauce fish and salt & pepper fish were pretty tasty though, and you can't beat the value at ~$15 and some change for 4 items (I selected all protein) from the food bar.

I have been to eaping a couple of times. The food is value for money and is not greasy and tastes more home like.. I really like the affordable dumpling set The Xiao long bao is made with wheat flour too.. Clean establishment and fast service. I recommend getting the small sides to take home. Cannot beat that price of 5.95!!
I love eaping!! The quality of their food for the price and portions is great!! Super delicious, great service, and ambiance is chill and clean! Their black bean sauce fish is actually one of my favorite dishes; I'm not from the Bay, but when I visit, I always make sure to get Eaping's black bean fish!
Stumbled on this place, and reminded me of Panda Express but healthier and fresh. Good prices and friendly worker. Lots of seating inside and food is good and flavorful. Give it a try!
This used to be Lucky Chinese Bistro, which we really enjoyed! Since the change to Eping Fresh Chinese, they have gone down hill. Service was just okay, felt like a school cafeteria. Nothing fancy. We purchased a Too Good To Go and received a 4 item plate. The plate consisted of sweet and sour pork, toufu and beef, a fish stir fry and "fried" rice. All of this food was bland, even the sweet and sour. The fish was mushy and definitely over cooked. The rice had no flavor at all. Even on Too Good this was not worth the price. We will not be back.

The new decor makes it look like an organic salad place but it's still the Chinese food we're all accustomed to seeing. New changes were made such as restaurant now using paper based containers yet still use plastic cover. Now for the service. Flat out terrible. I was waiting in line for 20 min while the old woman working behind the counter was doing slow-time multitasking. It was comical standing there while she took phone orders (yes someone is still ordering over the phone. This is 2025- ever heard of online ordering?), bussing the tables, arranging the online orders, barking out orders to the kitchen using their famous mic while trying to take care of folks like me waiting in line. Usually there's always a pair of little old ladies working together but the one today was working solo. This was around 4:35 pm. One person got disgusted with the wait and left but I felt some pity on this lady and decided to wait it out. If you're going to hire older ladies, make sure they also work in pairs because one working by themselves is just way too slow. Not acceptable. Also no apologies from the lady for making us wait that long. You guys changed everything, the name, the decor, but the service is lacking.
Not sure why the reviews are so negative here compared to the Google reviews because I really liked the food! The food is very tasty, fresh, and not very oily! Its like a high quality, high end version of Panda Express. This has become my go-to for good quality, tasty, reasonable priced, quick Chinese food. Highly recommend it!
Eaping is a new Chinese restaurant and takeout spot in Mountain View, CA. They have a really good deal of 50% off at for their grand opening on 12/14. The prices are nice and affordable. I tried the mix and match plate with 4 items, starting at just $12.50. If you have a busy lifestyle, Eaping is going to be a lifesaver. I will definitely be a regular here. Healthy, authentic Chinese food is served here. There are classic items like orange chicken, honey walnut prawns, and general tso's, and the team is introducing authentic Chinese flavors. For the health conscious, their items have less starch and sugar than competitors like Panda Express. I tried the Mix and Match plate - scallion prawns, general tso's chicken, chow mein, and Mongolian beef, and the Chi forest peach drink. Honest review is that the flavors are very balanced, not too salty or sweet. The portions were just right and filled me up.

I thought it was an Americanized Chinese place, but it's actually healthy and authentic -- perfect for both Asian and non-Asian coworkers. 3 items $10.95 or 4 items $12.95 -- fresh, not salty like Panda Express. Walnut shrimp, broccoli beef, and green beans are all delicious! Also love their soup dumpling combo ($9.95 with hot & sour soup) -- juicy, flavorful, and surprisingly authentic. Highly recommend!

However, the interior looks to have been remodeled since the sale. It is inviting, though I came here for take out. The $12.50 price for 4 items, before tax, is "a steal". One does not have to pick rice or noodles as one of the items. Everything I selected tasted good. Nothing outstanding mind you. However, you cannot beat that price for that great amount of food. Do note that some of the more premium items have price adders, similar to Panda. If you're a Too Good To Go patron, Eaping is still listed as Lucky Chinese Bistro.
Used to be Lucky Chinese Bistro until last month when they changed ownership. They renovated the dining area and the steam table counter. Fresh new look with lighter color tables which made the place look brighter, bigger and spacious. They still have the Walnut Prawn Salad that I just love. It's one of my favorite salads. Very good portion. They didn't skimp on the shrimp and the ingredients. Lots of batter fried shrimp. Sweet vinaigrette dressing with hint of sesame oil. Assorted greens, cucumber, cherry tomatoes with sprinkles of fried noodles to add more crisps. Reasonably priced for the size. Large for about $17. They have really good chicken salad too. I will need to go back and try their hot food to see if any changes. The lady at the counter seemed nicer too. She's been with the resto for years.
8/8/2026 Eaping Fresh Chinese 1040 Grant Rd Ste 100 Mountain View, CA 94040 I went there to get some comfort food take out Beef Chow Fun. It's in the Grant Park Plaza with the 99 Ranch with lots of parking. This is a re-brand of the former business with healthier cuisine. The setup is the same, a cafeteria style walk through with chafing dish selections for the combination plates. I ordered and paid at the counter and had to wait about 10 minutes while my dish was cooked. It wasn't served from the chafing pan. The dish was very good, not very salty or oily and very tasty, I'd get it again. read more

We were shopping in the complex when I noticed this place. It was lunch time and the place looked inviting so we decided to try them out. *USP: Panda Express style Chinese food take out, they offer salads as well in addition to the 2 or 3 entree plates. *Ambiance: bright and inviting. Seems to be family owned and run. They were working hard to keep the counters clean. *Food: one word- greasy. There was fat accumulated at the bottom of all the items we ordered, be it the fried rice or noodles or string beans. The fried rice was not flavored and was on the blander side. The initial few bites felt as if the rice needed to cook longer as well. String beans were sufficiently crunchy and fresh rather than being limp but were extremely greasy. Quantities are not super generous but decent enough for the price point. read more
This was my first time trying Eaping. I have passed by it a couple times before but finally had the time to go in. It is comparable to Panda Express since that's what more people are familiar with. They do plates/bowls at a reasonable price. Everything is made fresh and placed in front so you can choose what you want. The serving for the plate with two entrees and two sides was much larger than expected. My boyfriend who eats a lot even got full before finishing. I tried their new dish, the beef noodle soup. It was good but not the best I've had. However, I do like that they offer extra dishes like this and it didn't take long at all. read more

Good food. But watch out when ordering takeouts. The cover is very loose; and the fact the clerk stuffed food vertically into the brown bag only pushed food to one corner and some were pushed out of the box, directly laid into bag was disgusting !!! read more

We've had our eye on this place for the last few weeks and finally stopped in. It's cafeteria-style so you can pick and choose what you want. They had a decent assortment, including a "salad bar" section. I'd say the food is a slight step above Panda. All of the food we tried was good and convenient for a quick lunch stop. I do wish the food had labels on it since some of the items looked similar, especially the chicken dishes. I don't think I'd go out of my way to go back here but glad I tried it! 3.5/5 stars read more

Used to be Lucky so I think change in ownership? Same set up though of Chinese food on steam beds. We came at Grand Opening Saturday when everything was 50% off. Food was good. I'd say a little better and less greasy than Panda. And prices I think are a little better. I would think great for a quick takeout and to get a quick bite. read more
First time checking this place out , as I was lucky enough to get a tgtg order. There is ample parking in the parking lot, so that is not an issue. When I went, it was quite empty. I appreciate the very open and sleek layout. The staff was kind, and efficient. In the assortment that I got, it included some orange chicken, black bean tofu, chow mein, and a mushroom/Chestnut/ tofu/snow pea dish. For all of the dishes, the flavor was good. This was a pleasant surprise, as the last two places I ordered from tgtg were lackluster to say the least. Certainly, if I was craving a quick Chinese takeout place and was in the area, I would happily return. read more

Very clean and vibrant restaurant! Huge portions of really delicious varied Chinese food. The black bean fish is my favorite. The kung pao chicken is not too spicy. The chow mein is chewy. I love that you can customize 4 items for $12.50 plus tax! Tip: the shrimp, salmon, and steak cost extra. read more

I ordered the Cantonese Beef Chow Fun as it is their special. There are a lot of beef and the taste is good. It is not too greasy. It costs only $12.95 which l think is a good deal compares to other restaurants. I also spined the lucky wheel in the restaurant and won a free milk tea. My wife and I have been here a few times and really like it. Think Panda Express but better food and healthier too. Cheaper than most places to get Chinese food. I really like the Chow Mien there more than other places. We usually get the "pick four" box. You can pick three different meat dishes if you want. $12.50 and they don't take tips! My wife signed up for their rewards and it adds up quick. The sesame balls are really good! read more
