I really like the affordable dumpling set The Xiao long bao is made with wheat flour too.. Clean establishment and fast service. I recommend getting the small sides to take home. This was my first time trying Eaping. I have passed by it a couple times before but finally had the time to go in. It is comparable to Panda Express since that's what more people are familiar with. They do plates/bowls at a reasonable price. Everything is made fresh and placed in front so you can choose what you want. The serving for the plate with two entrees and two sides was much larger than expected. My boyfriend who eats a lot even got full before finishing. I tried their new dish, the beef noodle soup. This place used to be called Luckys family and I have frequent it for years but all of a sudden in the last three months every time we come in for some reason they have the bathroom is closed and they keep telling us a story after story story sometimes the key is lost sometimes the drains are not working sometimes it's under repair. I got to say, this place is super good. I miss Lucky's that used to be here but same stuff just way more fresh and like the healthier options also. I for sure feel I got my moneys worth in comparison to what I would get back in Georgia. Service is cafeteria style. Get to choose what you want from the line. Get rice or noodles, various proteins, and then they have add ons. They also have other menu items they will cook in the back and come out fresh. Found this place on TG2G, really enjoyed the food. Chow mein was tasty, sesame balls were good, and the protein options it came with were delicious. Portions were good and filling. It's similar to Chipotle/Panda Express, where the food is hot and ready to go, and you just pick what you want. I didn't realize it was in the same connecting plaza with 99 Ranch and Raleys. We purchased a Too Good To Go and received a 4 item plate. The plate consisted of sweet and sour pork, toufu and beef, a fish stir fry and "fried" rice. All of this food was bland, even the sweet and sour. The fish was mushy and definitely over cooked. The rice had no flavor at all. Even on Too Good this was not worth the price. This is 2025- ever heard of online ordering?), bussing the tables, arranging the online orders, barking out orders to the kitchen using their famous mic while trying to take care of folks like me waiting in line. Usually there's always a pair of little old ladies working together but the one today was working solo. This was around 4:35 pm. One person got disgusted with the wait and left but I felt some pity on this lady and decided to wait it out. If you're going to hire older ladies, make sure they also work in pairs because one working by themselves is just way too slow. Not acceptable. However, the interior looks to have been remodeled since the sale. It is inviting, though I came here for take out. The $12.50 price for 4 items, before tax, is "a steal". One does not have to pick rice or noodles as one of the items. Everything I selected tasted good. Nothing outstanding mind you. However, you cannot beat that price for that great amount of food. Fresh new look with lighter color tables which made the place look brighter, bigger and spacious. They still have the Walnut Prawn Salad that I just love. It's one of my favorite salads. Very good portion. They didn't skimp on the shrimp and the ingredients. Lots of batter fried shrimp. Sweet vinaigrette dressing with hint of sesame oil. Assorted greens, cucumber, cherry tomatoes with sprinkles of fried noodles to add more crisps. Reasonably priced for the size. Large for about $17. They have really good chicken salad too. We've had our eye on this place for the last few weeks and finally stopped in. It's cafeteria-style so you can pick and choose what you want. They had a decent assortment, including a "salad bar" section. I'd say the food is a slight step above Panda. All of the food we tried was good and convenient for a quick lunch stop. I do wish the food had labels on it since some of the items looked similar, especially the chicken dishes. I appreciate the very open and sleek layout. The staff was kind, and efficient. This was a pleasant surprise, as the last two places I ordered from tgtg were lackluster to say the least. This is only for the Chinese chicken salad as have not tried other items. It seems that they have tried to have a similar recipe to Lucky's salad but unfortunately it misses the mark. Before it truly was the best Chinese salad I have ever had - and anytime I brought it to an event it became everyone else's favorite. I am not sure what ingredients they decided not to include or change, but I hope they consider getting back to the original recipe. Now it is typical of most Chinese restaurants and lost the special "sauce" that made it unique and delicious. Below I see response that it is the same recipe and it is for sure not the same - this was my fourth time trying it with the new ownership hoping that I just had a bad batch.
