The sauce actually had a really good texture, thankfully avoiding the thin, "wet" glaze I wasn't a fan of at places like Jade Xiang Yue. Flavor-wise, it was savory and a tad sweet. There wasn't a lot of heat to this one, so if you're looking for that spice, you won't find it here. The biggest drawback for me? There were strong whiffs of Shaoxing wine that clearly hadn't been cooked off fully. It was pretty distracting and took away from an otherwise solid plate.
